Welcome to the trap house of marrero. Expect no help, the longest lines ever, rude staff in pharmacy and 3 hours sitting on hold for them to close on you. You’d have a more enjoyable experience at a dmv or hell. I’d rather buy my prescriptions from the local drug dealer but they don’t take my insurance. Steer AWAY from this location!

I set up an appointment for my son to get his COVID vaccine. We got there 15 minutes early and was told to wait in line with the walk-ins (the line was from the pharmacy area to the front doors). Whats the use of making appointments if everyone has to just wait in line anyway? Long story short: we left and were able to get his shot at NeighborCare Pharmacy with no wait and no crowds.

From the top to the bottom of the staff they are very rude, unprofessional, unorganized, and incompetent. I left one of my prescriptions to pick up 2 days later. I go in and they lost it and blamed it on me saying I lied and never gave it to them and then questioned why I did so(left my rx with a pharmacist). Im not certified or a professional. The real question is why did your qualified pharmacist said it was okay and took it. Ive read the negative reviews and theyre all true. I was then told to transfer my prescription but they refused to give my hard copy back so now I have to go back to the Dr. to get a new one. Unbelievable. I recommend everyone not to go there. They are very rude, unprofessional, and abuse their authority. Dont waste your time or energy with these unqualified incompetent pharmacists.I can run that pharmacy myself more efficiently, professionally, organized, and with 100% better customer satisfaction.

Do not go here, The pharmacy is so rude. Booked appointments to have covid vaccine shot and they left me standing there for 30 minutes and then tell me its 1st comes to 1st serve. Excuse I came early with paperwork completed like I was told. why make appointments then? this is the most unprofessional rude rude pharmacy/ The pharmacist is extremely rude he acts like youre bothering him youre bothering him find another job if you dont like it. If youre unable to offer the the service that you are advertising then dont do it. stay clear from them The company needs a revamp Their policies and what theyre offering to customers as well as their customer service. If I can figure out how to make a formal complaint with the company I will I was disrespected today. If I can give 0 stars I would.

William Griffin the pharmacist is flat out absolutely rude, unprofessional, and unorganized. I never had an issue getting my medication here unless hes working. I handed a rx to a young lady 2 days ago and he insist that Im not telling the truth. He clearly doesnt like his job nor his customers. Now my rx is missing because he refuses to look for it or even give the time of day to do so and I was also the only person in there. If youre looking for a professional, organized and friendly pharmacy/pharmacist then this is clearly not the place for you. At least with William Griffin at the wheel. Good luck dealing with that miserable person.

Walgreens is the same as usual with a variety of items of need or want. The employees, tonight, werent overly friendly and seemed somewhat put upon to be asked questions. This wasnt my usual Walgreens so I didnt know anyone. Could be Ive been spoiled by the one on Ave D & Westbank Expressway in Marrero.😁

I went in to pick up my ship to store package which contain my vitamins. The cashier at the photo lab told me it did not come in and brushed me off then said next customer. I assured her that it was shipped to her store and showed her the email she kept on repeating it did not come and have a good day and I had to leave. Horrible customer service, horrible service all around the store was packed and there were only two workers on the floor the rest were chatting with each other or other customers I will never ever go back to this Walgreens.

I came here on Wednesday at approximately 4:15pm to get a passport photo. The male individual informed me that he could take the picture, but that I would have to return an hour later because he had to clean the bathroom and other photos to process before mine.I dont even understand the thought process or logic that goes into telling a customer that something that simply takes three clicks of a mouse has to be delayed by more time consuming processes. Im slowly gearing to staying away from stores and shopping completely from home. Figure it out.

Dont know what is happening. Slower service,longer wait times and some associates seem lost as to what and how to serve you. Always dealt with Walgreens for many years,prefered them. Long before Covid they going down in ratings.

I am not sure who is to be blamed more, the management at this Walgreens ( Barataria/ Lapalco) or the staff. This is the second time back to back that I’ve tried to pick up prescription and there is an issue.About two months ago my husband was brought to the ER from work. Four prescriptions were dropped off. He asked me to pick up the medications for him which I did. I brought them home and he asked me where is the fourth one. That’s when I realized I was given three out of the four that was dropped off. Now keep in mind I waited in the drive thru line for over 30 minutes. We did not receive a text message, a phone call or an email stating that any of the meds were delayed. When I called and asked why the medication was not given and why was I not informed when I picked them up, I was told because the medication could be bought over the counter and if they fill it, it would be at a cost to me because Tri-care would not cover it. When I asked what was the cost I was told $1.34. Imagine how upset I was having to drive back and pick up medication that cost that little.Now FF to today. I took my one year old son to the doctor today due to extreme redness in his eyes and swelling. After about 30 minutes of leaving the Pediatrician’s office I called the Walgreens pharmacy to find out how long before the prescriptions would be filled. I was told to give them another hour. I wanted to take the baby home so I decided I would come back later and pick up the medication. Got to the drive thru at 7pm. The line was not that long but the wait time was. I was the 6th car. When it was my turn I told them I was there to pick up my son’s medication and gave them his name. Out of the three that was sent over by the doctor the young lady said only one was ready. Now I was very confused because they were sent over after 3pm by the doctor. The most important medication that he needed for his eyes were not filled. When I asked why the other two was not ready I was told they needed a pre-approval. I was then asked to come inside, I was annoyed about that because I felt like I waited my turn to be served. However I knew it wasn’t the people behind me in the line fault so I went inside. I spoke with Monique who I assumed was the manager and she explained to me why they needed a pre-approval. When I asked what time did they send the request for the approval and why is it not back yet she told me they haven’t sent it yet. She is going to do it now. I was so upset and had to take a deep breath before I continues speaking because I did not want to be rude. I was willing to pay out of pocket for the medication with hopes that when they get the pre-approval I would be refunded and the amount charge to the insurance because the medication is expensive. I was told I was not able to do that, if I pay then they can’t refund me and charge the insurance company. Now mind you my son has two insurance company on file. But they can’t charge the secondary insurance without going through the primary first.So my questions are for all the managers working at that Walgreens ( Barataria/ (Lapalco) and to cooperate. When is enough enough?!! Are you all going to wait until someone is DEAD from not having their medication before you implement a better system !!!!Why are customers not made aware there is an issue with their prescription before coming to pick it up?Why are the employees not doing their JOBS?Why should a customer come and wait in line for their medication that was dropped off hours ago to be told an approval is needed, but yet the approval was not requested by your staff when they found outabout it?P.S ....I’ve lived in many States, almost every four years my family and I have to move and Walgreens have always been our go to Pharmacy. I must say this location is the worst I’ve ever encountered. I am very disgusted by the lack of customer service and attention to detail in the Pharmacy department.I do want to acknowledge that Ms. Roxanne at the front check out counter is very nice and professional. She is truly a gem!!Sam.

Incompetent staff, lost a prescription but thankfully found it. It takes too long to get your prescriptions filled. Plus they mess up on prescriptions that are the same every month. They really need to get it together and start hiring people that can actually do their job correctly!

There system needs help. The phone system contacts a person with information that the prescription is ready, but when you come in.. guess what its not ready. How is this showing your guess you care about them. Also training should not be done at the register with a long line of customers waiting. Its unfortunate how service is lacking at the point of sale.

This Walgreens is an absolute joke. Poor customer service and the pharmacy staff is always confused and rude. Dont bother ordering online and listing an alternate pickup person because theyll refuse to give your alternate the package. Its pathetic because Ive been to Walgreens in other states and they are always welcoming and friendly.
