Fairly typical, but overpriced Mall style Pennies. Nice clothes available if you are willing to pay the huge markups. Shoe selection is very weak, especially for men.EDIT: A simple edit in order to reply to the JC Penny response.People do not go to a physical store just so they can shop online!

It is very understaffed but the quality and style of clothing is modest and amazing. Customer service being understaffed isnt that bad because the associates are kind and hard working.

The store send well kept and I I like that JC Penney sometimes has really good deals.

Its a good place but no good deals.they needs to work in pricing to be like tjmax, Marshalls or Burlington coat factory.

Who ever reads this and still posts a bad review just remeber that associates are humans too, and they dont need to be called names, or for you to think that you are better than them just because its a minimum wage job. If you want to complain then you can have their job and have to deal with horrible customers like you. For anyone else have a great day 🙂

This department store is alright, The selection for is boring, but I imagine for women its better. The store is clean and the cashier was personable. The reason I give three stars is that I to wander around the entire first floor find a register. They should at least have an easily visible sign to help.

I was spoilt wish options when I visited JCPenney. I think they do a pretty good job at keeping the store organized as well considering the huge size of the store. I have been to stores where I found something I liked but not available in my size. But at JCPenney, you get a large variety and sizes of products. I was always looking forward to going back there before I left.

Great place to shop. Prices cant be beat. We were in the Mens Department and there was a woman salesperson, Carla, who was incredibly helpful to us. She was professional, courteous, and really knew her job well. We would definitely go back to that Department again if we have the need.

Positives: Easy returns & tall clothing online. Cons: Only 2 registers open in the entire store. Lines were 10+ people deep. Tip: make sure you have a coupon.

Took to long to fix my watch

Theres lots of great discounts and sales but boy that store was sweltering hot! I was sweating by the time we left! It also felt like they were very very understaffed as no one was manning the jewelry and they only had one person on the register. Maybe its just a short staffed morning shift? I would still go back as one worker, Ben, was fairly nice and did appease my cranky mother-in-law by giving her extra hangers. Seriously made my day a lot easier!

I shop in the mens department, I like the St. Johns Bay clothing line. Good quality and pricing.

Horrible customer service. Arrived to pick up an online order, no one at the desk and a sign saying to go to jewelry. The associate at jewelry had no idea she was covering, asked me to come back in a little while. Came back, told system was down and I would need to come back a different day. Send a message to online customer service complaining, was told you can go back now. Went back and picked up my clothing, and when I arrived home and opened the items (dress shirts) half the shirts were damaged. Complained again to customer service, they told me I could bring them back if I wanted. Then complained on social media, and finally got a response with a refund offer. Assistant store manager called two days later, but had ALL the facts wrong and seemed disinterested stating well, I was not there that day. Go to Macys.

@jcpenny for return of online purchase; service wz excellent although returns are upstairs in rear; the man that gave me directions wz extremely a gentleman as he gave me directions & carried my box to the correct location; also received quick service on the return; not a ton of questions were asked; just why was I returning? The process was completed quickly, #efficiently, #pleasantly, and with a smile.

Today we had several on line item returns and the clerk was very professional and curtious. My wife was very organized with all the receipts, dates, and order info which made all transactions easier.

Jc Penny was replaced with Wegmans. Went 20 miles out to find jc Penny. Dont use their credit cards. They farm them out to a business that charges $2. Monthly service fee. Nothing on the card but they charge $2 monthly service fee.

New appliance section is great. We have been looking for a refrigerator for months and it has been very frustrating. Many stores do not have any models that fit our space limits, and what they do have is very difficult to find the measurements of. JC Penny had everything clearly labeled with all the information we need to make sure it will fit. The salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful. Check out was a breeze and the financing options are great with a store credit card.

I paid to ship merchandise to the store, then drove to the store and waiting in line for 20 minutes while the people in front of me faced a myriad of issues with their orders. Sooooooo inconvenient. I will never use this service again.Update: The merchandise I paid to ship to the store did not fit, so I had to return to the store. This trip was VERY different. I found great customer service and 50% clearance on brand name jackets. Kyana and Daniel helped me find an additional coupon to my sale to save me even more. Now is the time to buy a great coat - its still winter! I opened a credit card and will return again.

Great atmosphere

On July 19, 2015 my family and I were scheduled for a family shoot. We had the last appointment of the day and although we were all running late, coming in from different locations the photographer was still willing to take our pictures. In hind sight now thinking about the experience, I felt we were very rushed and the photos reflected that. We did elect to buy the CD of all of the pictures but when we really looked at the pictures at home there were several that should not have even been saved. The photographer went through the “spiel” about options and different ways we could have put photos together so fast that there was NO way we could have processed what was being said. My daughter is a JCPenney photo club member which is why we chose to come to JCPenney’s for our photographs.Neither myself or any family member would EVER go back there. I feel we were grossly overcharged for the few decent pictures we got.Lynn B

There certainly was a large selection of clothes to choose from as well as jewelry and kitchen accessories.

Reasonable selection, mostly helpful and friendly people; good deals on some items.

The sales person was very helpful and went above and beyond to help.

The staff is very helpful, order for delivery to home if you want to avoid bringing it back.

Despite the great bargains in mens clothing, there were field mice in the store.

I typically love shopping at JCP, but I prefer the store in Leominster over the Solomon location. The Leominster JCP just seems cleaner, better organized and the dressing rooms are better cared for.

Quick in and out/ found what we needed, we paid for it and out the door in Clean well lite and easy to manuver a wheelchair thru isles.

There were drapes I want to buy, but due to an odd error message they couldnt be sold. Very disappointing.
