I’ll admit the flavor combinations are very creative and definitely fun experience but for gourmet I found the actual donut bread dry and lacking flavor. We tried strawberry, traditional glazed, chocolate glazed and cinnamon crunch. The cinnamon was flavorful but only the toppings. For donuts they weren’t very sweet like a traditional donut (which can be good or bad depending on your preference) I think the pricing was fair for a gourmet donut shop. Definitely a place you go for the experience but not as a regular morning donut & coffee spot.

One vegan doughnut variety offered on the weekend only. It was good but would be wonderful with a better selection. $4 each.

At first glance these donuts seem pricey, but once you see the detail that goes into each one and taste the quality, you see why. I really feel like the balance of flavors in each of the donuts Ive had has been really good. My favorite is the tres leches

The donut selection is out is this world. We tried 3 different flavors and all were outstanding. If I had to find one thing to criticize it would be the chocolate covered donuts tasted a little over-proofed. The yeast was a little too prevalent.

Called the Marietta location on 08/31/2021 early in the morning to place a order with rep. Name Rachel. I was trying to order some vegan donuts over the phone so I can pick up with. 48 hrs like someone stated on Sunday. Rachel was rude and wasnt sure about some of the questions. Best advice is to ask someone in your store before you give out false information like that. I was good at paying for my vegan donuts with no problem but I will not spend my money at this location at all.

Customer service and store layojt deserved 5 stars but unfortunately, the doughnuts were not to my liking. I think they will go great with a hot beverage. I like a doughnut that taste great by itself and these missed the mark for me. I had the Vegan Lemon Blueberry, Hibicus and the Dollie. The Dollie was the best out of the three choices. It was saved by the creme brulee filling that is quite tasty. If Im in the area and I have a sweet tooth, I would drop in again to try some different options. Now I know to order a hot chocolate also.

I was around Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and I need a coffee found this little place on the back of CANVAS café & bakery they have so many choices that I will definitely be looking forward to get back and try it all, I do recommend Dollies if you are looking for a doughnut to indulge yourself

Awful donuts! I was excited to try this place and got four pretty donuts. The lady behind the counter was nice. But the donuts were gross! I couldn’t even finish mine and trust me when I say I wanted to because they aren’t cheap! I can’t even explain how they tasted…but really odd. Don’t go!

This is our family’s spot and has been for years. Though we aren’t as close as we once were we still make the drive to have a perfect special morning or event. Truly food art!

Looks over freshness. The doughnuts I had looked beautiful, but both were very dry. The quality does not justify the cost.

The doughnuts are DECADENT & look as though they’d be heavy but to my surprise, they are the right combination of light & yeasty. I appreciate both the classic offerings (the Boston Cream was delish!) & the ones with a twist (strawberry & basil?! Yes please!). The coffee was nice & bold & the surroundings had a cool vintage vibe. Donuts hover in the $2-$2.50 range. The only negative I can think of is the parking lot is a bit of a nightmare ...especially if you pull down into it & cant find a space. Turning around is no easy feat. That said, the donuts make it worth it!!

We went last week after a doctors appointment.I was super excited but for us to get there to not to be greeted!!! I said hey to the young lady first she responded with a dry hey!! I ask what would she recommend she said she tired of them all but people come and get this dollies classic or something OK cool.. we ask how much were they she said depends on what tier they are in i am m like okay so what tier is this....she just seem like she was just wanted us out... ok cool meantime white lady comes in she perky saying hello help the lady was super sweet!!! I was like i just purchased 5 dried donuts and didnt even get a have a great day sooo....I wont go back.. I should have just went to krispy kreme.. beautiful donuts but dryyyyy....

This is definitely my favorite donut shop, I love the blackberry donut the best! I used to come to their stand every year for taste of Marietta (before COVID took that away) and they’d always have the best ice cream donuts. Definitely recommend ❤️

Donuts are good but alittle bit too sweet for me. They have great ideas but the donut is not a cake donut. Its more of a glazed donut so its already sweet but added frosting on top is extra sweet.

These are like donuts made in Mexico, less sugar, better for you. Fabulous!

I tried the earl grey chocolate doughnut and it was sooo good! We tried the fig doughnut, creme brulee, mikey, and a couple others and they were amazing!! The staff was so friendly and sweet, and it had the cutest seating area. It’s in the downstairs of Canvas Cafe & Bakery and it’s the best!! Come here for amazing doughnuts, for a great price.

I almost walked out when I saw the price, but I live in Ft Lauderdale and there are only Dunkins for miles and miles, so I bought one. OMG - delicious and extremely filling. I bought the Dollie

Not what we expected. Very expensive and donuts had a very greasy taste. The filing in the Boston cream (the Dollie) was more whip cream like instead of custard or pudding like. These 5 donuts cost us almost $20.00. on the flip side, there were donuts you will never find anywhere else.

After my second time visiting Donut Dollies, I am somewhat satisfied, but still a bit disappointed. The donut varieties are creative, but the overall flavor and experience isnt worth the expensive prices. At the end of the day, they are selling donuts, not a gourmet brunch. With tip, we spent about $50 on one dozen donuts. That is hardly worth it. In their defense, I should have known because it has that pretentious bistro feel when you walk in. They didnt even open on Saturday until 8am. That is definitely not typical of a donut shop. From now on, I will spend less to get more flavor and have more of a welcoming experience.

Had breakfast - sausage, egg and cheese biscuit with grits. Everything was really good but the biscuit was a little hard and dry. Overall though it was a nice meal.

Overall the donuts are good but they get 3 stars because of their inconsistency. Every other time i went if i got a filled donut like the one pictured theyd be partially filled. Ive had stick donuts only filled 1/3. Once i had an almost burnt fritter. Fortunately that only happened once and i was there so they let exchanged it for a different one. They definitely focus on the look of a donuts. I understand mistakes happen but Ive been going to my favorite doughnut shop, Dutch Monkey, over 10 years and have never had a doughnut that was subpar.

One of the few places that get me craving for a donut. These donuts are quite massive and the variety of flavors are very unique. Anytime I visit there is usually a donut they have out that I have not seen previously. For the size and variety, the prices are affordable. One of my favorites is the man bun which is a filled donut topped with a donut hole. The filling has a nice flavor and works well with the frosting on top. I never have had to wait long there and the service was friendly. I cannot wait to go back.

So far the best brioche doughnuts I ever had. The flavors are delicious. I personally like chocolate flavors ones, but the red velvet and lemon drop flavors were exceptional.I highly recommend this place if you’re in the marietta/marietta square area.Will definitely go back!

My first time there today and my donuts were very old. They tasted like they were made several days ago. $11 for 4 donuts. The young lady that worked behind the counter was also rude and impatient. There was nothing going on and no customers but she was rushing us with her heavy breathing and eye rolling. I definitely would pass. My donuts tasted like stale dinner rolls. Not donuts. I also ate breakfast from Canvas upstairs that was bad. also The guy making the food also did not have on a mask.

The vegan donut I had was good. I do wish they made vegan donuts available during the week as well and that they had more than one single vegan option.

Dollies Doughnuts is a pretty cool doughnut spot that has different options of flavorful options. I would say Dollies are one of my favorites in the Marietta area.

I am so glad I found this wonderful little Doughnut spot just outside the Marietta square. The doughnuts are delicious, the place is cozy, AND there is a giant chalkboard to draw on. Amazing.There is a wide selection of 10-15 different kinds of donuts ranging from Smores and lemon blueberry all the way to a wonderful coffee cream filled, bacon topped wonder called the Mikey. Itd by far my favorite Doughnut and I get it every single time we go.I highly recommend stopping here after eating breakfast or lunch at the Canvas Café, which is located right upstairs from Doughnut Dollies.

I used to think I wasnt really a donut person, but then Doughnut Dollies came into my life. Now every weekend I find myself here. All their donuts are delicious, and theyre a fabulous dessert after eating at Canvas upstairs.

Im sad to leave this review as Ive been of fan of Doughnut Dollies for several years now, but the last couple of times we have gotten doughnuts here, theyve been overcooked to the point of being crunchy and absolutely soaked with grease. We got an order yesterday and the lemon lavender doughnut that I was so looking forward to was extremely greasy and left me with a very upset stomach.

Adorable donut 🍩 shop! Very friendly and helpful ladies behind the counter. Very unique, fresh, and beautiful looking doughnuts. They also have coffee and a variety of other drinks available. My pic is not of the doughnuts but if the vintage chairs! My grandmother has the exact same green ones from the 1950’s.

These are great doughnuts that are fascinating flavors and seemingly built with really good ingredients. The selection of donuts will often sell out but that ensures they are all very fresh. The only downsideis this quality will cost you so this is more suited for one doughnut per person than a multitude of you are used to DD.

Best Doughnuts in Marietta in my opinion

Very excited to finally try doughnut dollies after hearing good things. The location has parking and is a decent sized shop with seating inside. The staff member who served us donuts was incredibly friendly and helpful as it was our first time visiting. We tried the dollie (creme brûlée donut), vanilla old fashioned, chocolate old fashioned, strawberry brioche, and a typical glazed. I will say everything was super fresh and moist - not dry at all, but flavor was lacking compared to some of our regular donuts shops we visit (my friend and I try a lot of donuts lol). I do like how they change up flavors and have lots of unique offerings. Price wise they’re on the expensive side so I’m not sure it’ll be worth the drive back for us as we weren’t super wowed by anything, but if in the area these are very good quality donuts and you can tell they’re made fresh so I’m sure different donuts may have more flavor. The brioche donut was very different and more of a bread type feel than a donut which was awesome to try. The creme brûlée dollie donut was probably the best of all the ones we tried. They offer coffee as well so if you’re nearby and want a donut and coffee it’s probably worth a try. We arrived around 10am on a week day and they had a full selection available.

I have seen the sign for this shop over the past few years as I come and go through town. This morning I need a break before an 11am phone conference. I left my office and drove the few blocks from my office. I was pleased with the shop from my entrance. It is simply a cool space. The old fashioned was great, and the cinnamon toast dont took novack to childhood. They get two-thumbs- up from me.

Ordered and paid for doughnuts 2 days in advance.. When we got there they were sold out of what we ordered and paid for. The staff acted as if they really didnt care. Ill never eat there again after how poor the customer service has been. Good luck.

First time trying this shop. Very nice presentation and friendly staff. Unlike any donut I’ve ever tasted. Very dry and flavorless except for the topping. I stopped for a dozen for work.... $24! .. and that’s not the premium donuts, just the “regular”. Maybe it’s not my taste.... or my coworkers for that matter. The first time I’ve ever thrown away over half a box of donuts that I brought to work. My advice... try one donut before you spend the big bucks on a dozen. Definitely not my taste.

Horrible experience. I placed an order online for my family (over $20 for 4 doughnuts). After my order was placed there was no communication on my order status for over half an hour and then my order was cancelled. I called 2 times with no answer. Poor operations and a total disappointment. I will never order again.

Best place for a fancy doughnut! They provided dessert for my wedding (just the doughnuts pictured, not the cake) and all my guests raved about how great they were! My groomsmen ate about 4 each 😂 They even delivered the day of so the doughnuts were extremely fresh! We were so pleased with their quality of service and the delicious doughnuts!

The Best donut Ive ever had!!

We are Marietta locals and this is our favorite donut shop. So much so, that we asked the owners to make their delicious donuts for our wedding! I worked with Mallory and she was always such a pleasure. She promptly answered all of my questions and had solutions to any situation we discussed.We ended up getting about 200 mini donuts for our 90 guest count and that was the perfect amount. We built our own tower to place the donuts on and placed our initial donuts on the top. It looked absolutely perfect! The staff came to setup our donut stand at the event, which I cannot thank them for enough. This ended up being one of the highlights of our wedding. Everyone was so excited to try the different flavors.I cannot thank the doughnut dollies staff enough for having such a positive effect on our big day! I will post pictures as soon as I get them.

This place is awesome. Like many specialty donut places, it is a little pricey, but it is well worth it. Their donuts are amazing. They do many unique flavors and combinations that will make it worth going back. Everyone should definitely give this place a try.

I havent had every variety of doughnut they make, but Ive had enough to confidently say you cant go wrong. The staff has been consistently friendly and patient as we take our time deciding which flavors to choose. You wont be disappointed by Doughnut Dollies.

You will not find a better doughnut period.

I went there a few weeks ago close to closing time. The selection at this time of the day was very low compared to the pictures I see on google. The sweet lady at the counter informed me that this is true pretty much everyday. Ok, I get it, small bakery trying to make fresh everyday, and with little customers at the end of the day, no need to waste more food.The staff I encountered was very friendly and polite. Great customer service. The tables, while not dirty could have a decent wipe down due to some left over crumbs.I got an apply fritter since they were such a big memory of my childhood and I can say it brought back memories of my grandfather sitting next to him with an apple fritter bigger than my child-hand. These apple fritters dont disappoint, they are HUGE! and delicious. I could not finish it in one sitting.I decided to buy 4 different donuts to bring home and try. I split them with my family at home and we all had a sample of the different ones.None of us were impressed enough to buy them again. The ones we got were more of a cake like donut, which I normally like. They were good donuts, but as big as they were, we were expecting some type of filling to off-set the cake texture and denseness. None of us, personally, were crazy about the cereal bowl flavor. I did love the passion fruit whipped topping that one donut had, but would have loved to have a bit of the passion fruit inside the donut as well. That would be worth it for me to come back. YUM!I did find in all the donuts, that they have a feeling of the oil on them, especially the bottoms where they sat. I would have liked to see and feel less of that. Perhaps allowing them to drain or soak into a few more minutes paper towels to get more oil out would be better?Overall, its a nice little hipster like environment, definitely different conventional flavor pairings and great customer service. Donuts themselves, to me, are not worth the higher price. I think you are paying for the novelty flavor pairings and hipster like vibe. The only thing I would buy again would be the apple fritter, but I dont see myself making a special trip to come get it.

Doughnut Dollies is a delight for the senses!!! Choose from a variety of fun, eclectic flavors! The only problem you’ll encounter is which flavors to try! Get a dozen and share with your friends and family (or not!) to try them all! Adorable interior and friendly, helpful and patient (you will take a long time deciding! Lol) staff. The Jane is my personal favorite!

Some of the best donuts Ive ever had. Really this place hits all the right spots. The donuts are unique creations that I have never really had before. They always have different variations that they try from week to week. The price is the only thing I can comment on as they are definitely expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Tried the sunflower honey donut for like $2.59. expensive donut but very very very tasty and fresh and kind of crispy on the edges and I really like that.

I highly recommend this place. I you are out their way stop by and get a few. They normally have 3-5 seasonal doughnuts so you never know what new flavour you will try. The service is very receptive and polite even when you are struggling to pick which ones to get. Be mindful that they only make so many in a day so some flavours may be gone the later you come in the day.

These are probably some of the best doughnuts Ive had. The fluffernutter doughnut had the perfect proportion of peanut butter to marshmallow fluff, and the house made fluff was probably the best Ive tasted, blows the stuff in the store out of the water. Also recommend the cereal bowl, absolutely terrific, and Im not even the biggest fan of fruit loops. The birthday cake was really sweet and dense, it was like eating cake in doughnut form.

This place is the endgame for your sweet tooth. Everything is fresh and the coffee is great! The doughnuts are so so good, the pinnacle of pastries! I would suggest if you havent been here to go and see what youve been missing.

I hate to say it, but this place was a major let down. The presentation of the donuts was absolutely beautiful! I was tempted to try flavor combos I’m never interested in based solely on looks. Which is why the actual flavor, or lack thereof may have been so disappointing. Maybe I’m just picky, but the donuts tasted like the flavor was on mute; there was just something missing. I got the chocolate glazed and the apple crumb cake and they were both mediocre at best, especially considering the price. They were both extremely greasy as if they’d been fried in grease that was a bit too cool, however they were a bit too dry at the same time. While the donuts were edible, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend them to a friend based off of what I had today. Considering all the other 5 star reviews I would say it’s possible today was just an off day, maybe I’ll get a 5 star donut on my next visit.

If there was anything lower than one store I would give it to them. The donuts were awful completely overpriced. But even if they were free I would not want one the jelly filled basically had no jelly the cream filled were so sweet and have no flavor it tasted like you’re eating pure sugar. The dough did not even seem like it was for a doughnut. The salted caramel were so soft and that it was not even enjoyable. I would never go back I would never buy them again and I can’t believe they’re still open.

Well I tried this place out for the first time because it looked delish and instagram-worthy. I got a chocolate chip cookie doughnut and it tasted of nothing and was so greasy.... Literally a half inch outer layer of oilyness... Couldnt finish it i was grossed out. Gotta stick to my consistent faves in atl - Sublime and Revolution.

I visited this place with family and we loved our doughnuts. We went on a Saturday mid morning. I had the lemon raspberry cake and the Earl Grey ...OMG! Both were delicious. The chocolate they use is so delicious. Truly a treat!! I cant wait to go back.

Best donuts that you will ever has ever. Their quality and creativity are amazing. A BEET donut???? Yes, and is is good. This place is in the basement of Canvas, a great place to eat. Yes, Canvas uses Donut Dollies to make some wild burgers.

Amazing donuts. Inventive flavors, nice selection. High end interesting donuts, but not crazy expensive. Very easy to get in and out of, helpful staff. Just a really great donut experience.
