I’ve been to Adonai braids numerous times for cornrows and braids. The service here is always amazing. It’s a very professional atmosphere and my braids always come out very neat and last for a good bit of time without causing damage to my hair. This has been a struggle for me in the past but I’m glad to have found somewhere in the Atlanta area to get protective styles that actually protects my hair and keeps it healthy.

My experiences with Adonai Hair Braiding have always been great! I got my hair braided by Adonai several times and she has been nothing short of professional, timely, and accommodating during my braid styling experience. And added bonus is the adjoining beauty supply store to the salon. Product pricing is great and it is very convenient to shop for your beauty essentials. I would highly recommend anyone to Adonai Hair Braiding as I will continue to use her for my future braid styling needs.

I have used this shop twice. Great atmosphere both times. Got right in too. My braids looked so good. Im not going anywhere else anymore. When my daughters old enough I will bring her too.

This was my first time at Adonai and the experience was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming. My hair turned out beautifully. Eric was so detailed with his parting and placement of my braid. He made sure they were full but not packed. Adonai made sure to check every clients hair before they left her shop. I appreciate her detailed attention and making sure her clients leave with excellent work. I will return.Update: I did come back and adjust my rating as ten to 12 of my braids have fallen out. Several more out very very loose. I did put some of them back on but their out many on the on the egde of slipping out. The braids Adonai did they have not moved and are still tight however she only did like ten total.

I wanted to love this place. I was really hoping that this was going to be my go to braid spot but unfortunately I will not be returning.The experience I had at the shop was great. The staff was nice and Adonai was very warm and welcoming. My box braids were beautiful for the first couple of days, but now a week later, the braids are fuzzy. I have gotten box braids countless times over the years and have never experienced this level of frizziness after a week of having them. I dont know if it was the hair they used or if it was because the braiders didnt tuck my hair correctly, but I am disappointed that I paid $250 for braids that looked good for a week.

First time getting braids and I absolutely love them! The salon was clean, service was professional, and I was made to feel completely comfortable. I will definitely be back and recommend this place for any hair braiding needs.

Addy, the owner, is the stylist that did my hair. I got big feed-in cornrows done, and they turned out beautifully!!! Addy suggested a color combo of hair that I’d never tried before when I was having difficulty deciding, and that color (and hairstyle) have been Such a hit!! I’ve gotten So many compliments on my hair, and men are definitely taking notice of how flattering this style is on me. The salon also does makeup and weaves, from my understanding.Beyond that, Addy herself has a very pleasant, sweet, and calm demeanor. She was super patient when I couldn’t make it in time for my original appointment, and very willingly accommodated my delayed arrival time. The salon itself is small, but cute, clean, nicely decorated, sanitized with mask requirements, and smooth mellow African tunes play in the background.Parking is plentiful, and Addy and her husband own a beauty supply store, as well, which is adjoined to the salon — very convenient for us customers and savvy business on their part. A few helpful things to know in advance are:- For just $10, they’ll wash and blow dry your hair for you prior to getting your style done.- To book your appointment, anticipate a $20 Cash App deposit, which will be applied towards the cost of your style.- Day-of payment should be made in cash, via Zelle, or by card with a 3% surcharge.- Waiting area seating is very limited, so you won’t want to bring additional people with you to your appointment.

It was awful. I paid $60 for cornrows with no extensions or any extra hassle. I even detangled my hair. I left with my cornrows sticking up in the wrong way, hair frizzy, and super dry. It was awful, and I cried when I got home. Normally my braids last around 3-6 weeks but here I am 9 days later trying to think of a new style to pull off because they’re coming out. And on top of that I don’t have it in my budget to get it redone so I have to wear a bunch of hats for a few more weeks. Sadly, I didn’t see it until I drove that 30 minute back home. Speaking of which, I had to reschedule 3 TIMES AFTER HAVING APPOINTMENTS. I had an appointment at 9:45, and she told me to come back at 12, then I waited for 2 hours before I had to go and reschedule to the next day just to wait another hour. I don’t recommend this to anyone. The service was absolute garbage and the price was through the roof. I am deeply disappointed. If anyone knows some good places please let me know.

Adonai installed my passion twists in a record 3.5 hours. She is wonderful. When I got there, my appointment had not been written down, but she immediately rectified the situation by fitting me into her booking. It did not take long and she responded with great professionalism. Like I previously stated. It took her 3.5 hours to install and I was extremely happy. She did not pull too tight and took great care of scalp and edges. Loved this experience. Prior to my appointment, she worked really close with me to try to find the best hair for my sensitive scalp. She is amazing.

Terrible experience. 30 minutes late to an appointment I made days in advance and paid a deposit for. She forgot I even had an appointment. She talked the entire time on her phone, and constantly sucked her teeth in my ear. The worst part is when she was finished she tried to charge me $185 plus tax for retwist that would cost me $65 anywhere else. She didnt even wash my hair and she used way too much grease. Do your self a favor and skip this place.Lol, now a week later she responds to my review and calls me a lier🤣 that right there should show you the level of professionalism you can expect here. I have no reason to lie, lady, Im sure your karma is close. Time always tells truth.

Perfect! My daughter got goddess braids for her bday. Adonai was so gentle with my daughter (keep in mind shes tender headed). The end result was fabulous! Looking for a good stylist can be difficult especially when you dont personally know their work but, let me say...Adonai is the bomb! I give her 5 stars!

Very accommodating!! I was having a hair-mergency and she was able to fit me in. The braids were very neat and not too tight, she really cared for my natural hair and that’s the best!

I was able to get a same, late in the day appointment. And they did a pretty good job. I just wish better products were used to lay my type of hair...my edges were already curling up before I left. The price was fair. I would go back and recommend to friends. In fact someone did ask me where I got my hair done and I gave her the information.

My experience overall was very pleasant, but every smiling face is not a friend. The only thing I dont like is her pricing. Just about every style you show her is priced at $180 to $200 and it doesnt matter if its an adult or child. I tend to shop around my braided hairstyles then go with the most reasonable price. This shop does OK braiding but she is definitely not the best braider in the Marietta/Smyrna area. Her atmosphere is professional and welcoming but unfortunately shes all about the reviews & money. If anyone needs an alternative braiding shop, please check out Mimis Hair Braiding on South Cobb Pkwy. The ladies there are totally amazing and are willing to negotiate pricing for customers due to the pandemic. Happy Holidays 💖

I came in today as a walk in & Adonai had no problem plugging me in! She and her husband were very sweet and made sure I was comfortable while I waited my turn! She asked kindly if I could be so patient while she started on another client before me! I thought it was going to be more than an hour but she spent only 45 minutes! Very fast & the result were phenomenal on both of our hairs! She made a small problem disappear on me like she’s a magician! She is so positive and the atmosphere was positive as well! So.....I called them 9 in the morning about scheduling an appt for 2 days later. 12 hrs later, I decided to call her back and ask if I was good for the day and time I requested. She tells me they are all booked for the next 2 weeks which I find unbelievable being that they claim to be open 24/7. Not literally but by appt only. She then tells me that she didnt call me back because they are booked. How unprofessional is that to have me wait all day for a call when all she had to do is let me know so that I could check other places. How inconsiderate is that. Hopefully she will read this review and never do that to a potential customer ever again. Just so you know, it was totally unprofessional.

My daughter and I had an appointment to get our hair done at 8:30 in the morning.I will start by saying the only reason this review is not receiving one star is because of my daughters experience. My daughters appointment started on time, took about 2.5 hours, she received lemonade braids, and she was (and still is) happy with the end product.My experience on the other hand was very different. I received faux locs crochet and singles on the edges. I let her know that I was getting my hair done for a destination wedding and needing a style that would last. My appointment with the shop owner. She started 2 hours late and stopped my process multiple times to take other customers after starting 2 hours late. Process took 4 hours (6 hours total in the shop with my daughter waiting for 3.5 hours doing nothing) and by the next day they were coming out.I contacted the shop owner she agreed to fix my hair. Three days later my hair was coming out again. I contacted the shop owner for the second time and she fixed it again at no cost. This time she said she had a new technique because my hair was growing too fast and was too silky for the style. The next day they were coming out and 2 days after thay faking out in my hand.So over $200 (not including the hair) for a hairstyle that did not hold a day much less two weeks and I contact her AGAIN. This time its goes like this:(Summarized but I have the screenshots)Her responses: I cant fix itMy response: Thats disappointed Ill include that on my reviewHer response: I can fix it for $30My response: Thats disappointed Ill include that on my review and Ill make sure to include the pictures.Conclusion: Limited skillset. I called to schedule an appointment to get my hair braided and they were extremely pleasant and accommodating! I was able to get a same day appointment ! Not to mention my hair looked amazing! The atmosphere is very welcoming! Great service from all aspects!

Will not come back for a sew-in. I’m sure they do great with braided styles but for the sew-ins it’s a no for me. For one she was late. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair and she told me she do not style. When I called to make the appointment she did not tell me they don’t style the hair they just install, I was quoted $130 for the sew-in. She installed my hair pretty fast, I had a lace front closure she said it was the wrong closure and she butchered my closure that I spent a pretty penny on by cutting extra hair from the lace to make a permanent side part so it would fit to the way she had braided my hair And said she was now charging me $150 to do this. I asked if I should just have some leave out and she says she already started braiding and she’s not taking it out so I just went with it because my wedding was the next morning and had no where else to go to get my hair done. At first I thought it would look ok but when I got home I wasn’t happy at all. My wedding was the next morning and my cousin and I had to spend hours trying to style and curl my hair the way I wanted as soon as I got home because I wanted to look perfect for my big day and my hair was not how I had imagined it. That’s not how I wanted to spend my night after paying $150 for my hair to get done. Next time I will go somewhere else and pay the extra $50 to have someone install and style my hair exactly the way I want instead of trying to save a few dollars.Response to reply: It was never expressed when I called to make the appointment that you didn’t style if that was the case I wouldn’t have shown a picture of how I wanted my hair styled and I would have went somewhere else. I said I would have my cousin style after I showed you the picture and you said you don’t style. And as I stated I said once I got home I wasn’t satisfied with the hairstyle as a bride I had my vision of exactly how I wanted my hair to look perfectly and it didn’t look the way I wanted especially for the amount I paid overall for the hair and installation, so no I was not satisfied. As I stated I’m sure your shop does great work but I just wasn’t satisfied with what I got. I may come back in the future for braids but just not sew-ins.

She was very friendly as well as the rest of the staff, my twists were done painless, I cannot believe how fast she was since I had them waist length and I will definitely be back. This was my first visit to this shop, I decided to go with knotless braids for the first time. And let me tell you, I did my research before coming here and even tried a couple of other places. I have found my go to shop. Ms Adonai was absolutely amazing at making me feel welcome and comfortable. Now look, the price did change from the over the phone quote, but being that this is a service industry (I work in service as well) its almost impossible to give a legit quote over the phone so dont let that detour you from the amazing talent thats here. If you want your hair to look amazing its worth it!!! Both Ms Adonai and Ms Amy were just wonderful and Ill absolutely be back. Give these ladies your business, they deserve it!!!
