I was deeply disappointed by Craft Doors USA’s product, and especially by its customer service. I had eagerly anticipated receiving the doors in CA (shipped from NC), but when they arrived it turned out that they were uneven. Whoever constructed the doors apparently didn’t level the saw so that the cut was 1” off on the diagonal from top to bottom, which is significant for a door. As a consequence of the imbalance, the door is splitting at the seams in certain places. When I brought my concern to Craft Doors, they refused to either provide me with a refund and take the doors back, or to sell them to me at cost. I didn’t think it was reasonable for them to profit from a door that did not come close to meeting the expectations of their buyer, but in the end they refused action, and it’s not like I’m going to attempt small claims to get back my money, or the additional cost of hiring a carpenter to shave the doors and add pieces to make them functional. So, I recognize other people have had a wonderful experience, and that is what I expected. Unfortunately, mine was not.UPDATE: This was not an installation issue, as suggested in the below response. That is why I included the tape measure photos to show the 0.5 off on the lower half, which were also sent to Craft Doors. After adding wood on either side and in the center to close the gap, gluing the cracks and repainting over the nice wood and stain I paid for, the doors are in, and functional. Sam, your company has my address should you wish to send $400 to partially cover the work indicated above on doors that cost me $5,878.

I searched all over for custom doors to replace the old 1930s carriage doors on my basement / garage. Craft Doors USA was ultimately my best option and they were great to work with throughout the entire process. The doors arrived when I expected, customized to my selections, and they are absolutely beautiful.

We purchased a set of carriage doors for the garage of our new addition. Since our home is shaped like a barn, we thought the carriage doors would complement the style, and they did - perfectly. The doors arrived extremely well packaged and protected, for which we were grateful as they had to sit on the driveway through several weeks of winter before the structure was ready. They are very solid, and well constructed and we are thrilled with them.

We purchased our garage doors back in October of 2019. We found a picture of a black stained garage door on their website and absolutely loved the way it looked. After emailing back and forth specs for two garage doors; Samuel and Troy recommended we use their contact Sal for the installation. When we received the doors it was apparent that they needed to do another coat because the door was brown. They also did not bother to coat the backside of the wood at all. I spoke with them and they said it didn’t need it for weathering purposes.. but in my opinion, you spend 10k you should receive quality. Not only that but his installation guy Sal left a nail sticking out which carved into our front garage door when we opened and closed it. After asking them to help fix these issues (sanding out the gash or replacing the board! And applying another coat so it’s black like we asked for) they both gave me a run around for 2 months. After continuously calling and emailing Troy and Samuel we decided to not waste our time anymore and handled it ourselves. The quality of the door is great and they offer many designs and styles. A few important points to mention. Make sure carpenter talks in detail with Craft Doors of the expected sizing and is clear on the drawings, recommend staining yourself since the color on website may not be what you get and make sure door is inspected when delivered even if driver tells you dont need to. Im not happy with the situation Im dealing with but may not happen to everyone.

I recently replaced a garage door on a barn with Craft Doors. They were very easy to work and detailed oriented. We wanted to specific modifications to standard products and they were very accommodating. We just received the doors and installed them and very happy with the product. Although their work is great, Im leaving a poor review for their customer service. My doors needed to be shipped to CA, and the delivery service they work with had to come not once but twice to my home because they didnt have the proper personnel and equipment to deliver the door. The second time, nothing was corrected. Luckily, we got a neighbor and the delivery driver to help carry each piece individually into our home. Otherwise, they wouldve had to come and attempt delivery for a THIRD time.When we ordered our door, we were told that our existing tracks, wheels, springs, etc. could all be used for the new door. That was entirely false. All they provide is the door panels, nothing more. You will need to pay out of pocket for new tracks, wheels, spring, and motor unless you already have a heavy wood door. Thats an extra $2K on top of the $6K we paid for the new door. Further, they dont seal the bottom of the door, leaving the wood exposed to the elements, which will surely deteriorate over time. Another added cost they do not tell you about.I also find it very strange they do not send you photos of your finished door. Luckily, were very happy with the end product, but what if we didnt? What would they do about it? Mind you, I live out of state, so I can only imagine how much that would be to ship it back, should they even accept it.Just things to keep in mind when ordering from them.

This company is a gem. They know their products, their service is above and beyond. No matter what I asked they answered it and the words yes or lets figure this out are at the top of their lists vs no we cant do that....I will and have recommended them to two of my friends already!!

Craft doors delivered a VERY quality product at a good price. Sam took my sketch and customized 2 doors to perfection. The 18x8 and 9x8 doors are very sturdy and came with the stabilizer bars already in place and ready to hang. I would recommend Craft Doors to anyone interested in a one of a kind wood door! I live in Ny and you can’t find barn doors for garages really . So I went on Etsy knowing they have custom finds . I was hesitant to order somethings so expensive from somewhere so far away that I knew nothing about. However, after speaking to Troy he made me feel very comfortable and was very knowledgeable, helpful, answered all my concerns, & went above and beyond . When receiving the doors he prepared me for everything to expect with delivery. The doors were very heavy because they are made of such great quality. Sam is absolutely gold! I believe God directed me to find his business on Etsy. We are in California and one would think ordering custom doors for someone in Texas to build would be scary, but with Sam you have every reason to have him make your doors. His attention to detail as he communicates all throughout the process was a breath of fresh air during our very stressful new house and barn building project. He built 2 overhead garage doors for our house, and for the barn, 2 bifold doors, 2 very wide overhead doors and one large bipass door. His price is right, how quickly he gets the project done is amazing, the quality is as though he built them for his own house and barn and he really is the friendliest, kindest person. Dont hesitate to have Sam build your doors. It will be the most positive experience!
