Expensive but they got the job done, however the owner tried to sneak a 3% fee for using my debit card then got nasty when I questioned him about it. Talk about throwing salt on a wound! I would not recommend this place.

Not the place for me. Got my coolant hoses replaced & also a stud & I had to CALL THEM a month after PAYING to ask where the stud was & they never even ordered it. Also the hoses weren’t tightened so when I got home all my coolant was GONE & they had me drive it 30 minutes back to them but to tighten the hoses & not replace the coolant. Now that isn’t cold again my hoses are leaking again so I chose to just PAY someone else who can actually put a hose on correctly. Paid $300 for nothing.

Total rip off..... Over $500 DOWN THE DRAIN......Once they mess your car up, then comes the rudeness. They got no problem denting or scratching your vehicle too!.....then cussing you out for asking about it......my nightmare with them is too long to get into.

Didn’t put car back together! Gave me the keys to take my car home (after days past scheduled appointment and being told “We’re getting to it, we’re just busy”) only for the car to fill with smoke only 1 mile down the road. After pulling over and opening the hood, discovered that they failed to put the valve cover on and oil was thrown everywhere. Then they wanted me to pay to have it towed back to the shop. They had the chance to correct their mistake but they chose to just put the piece back on and give me back the car. Inside of the car smelling of burnt oil, oil covered engine, and oil still covering the front of the car. Never checked if any damage occurred because of their mistake.

Took my truck in cause it was missing and sputtering.. Was charged.$1586.56. And got it back missing and sputtering.. Then was accused of stealing my own truck without paying .. And was threatened to have the cops called on me for theft .. AFTER I ALREADY PAID THEM UP FRONT FOR THE WORK... never again

They are always super busy and took over 4 weeks to fix pur vrhicle because they had to keep rescheduling us to work on other tlvehicles that were coming in. However they did do great work

Very honest and awesome company!! Took my car there yesterday knowing it needed an alignment, but thought soemething else was wrong with it also, here that’s all it needed! A lot of companies are only after the money and wanna fix things that weren’t even a problem! They saved me ALOT of money, and time without my car!!

***********************************************UPDATE.***********************************************WELL it totally is done! Power steering just drains right out worse than before it was fixed! $1700 gone. Have to take it someplace today to get the power sterring looked at since we can put a bottle of fluid in and it literally is empty a few hours even though we paid $1700 to fix this problem 3-4 months ago to Davis auto performance. Didnt know $1700 gets you a temporary fix. And for Doritos wizards review cant help to wonder why he choose to review right after i gave negative review. Makes you wonder if hes paid for his review or is family or a family friend trying to boost their star rating back up. I find it odd that there hadnt been a posted review to this business in quite a while and I post a negative review and almost simultaneously someone posts a positive review. Tad suspicious. Cause i wouldnt put this business past doing something like that to lie to the public for profit. And as far as getting what you pay for... I paid for a power steering pump, seal, and line replacement. 4 months later it doesnt work. I didnt pay for a temporary fix. I paid for a tyrods and piston change... I got the wrong part put on my car ( which at first thought it was just put on backwards or not properly but its the completely wrong part) that ruined my tire & rim. I paid for a ( what we thought was a trusted mechanic) honest estimate for what was wrong with my car. I got lied to and told my ball joint was shot after hearing the peircing scrapping noise of the completely wrong tyrods was put on my car. But was told it was shot and another $600 was needed to fix it. And in all actuality there wasnt a damn thing wrong with my ball joint. NOTHING! So Doritos wizard, I didnt get what I paid for. Maybe if i had knew that davis auto performance was in the business of incompotence and dishonesty then i would have gotten what i paid for and then some. And knowing what I know now I dont want anybody else to get ripped off either. Though we already are. Since this shop has proven they arent above out & out lying about whats wrong with a vehicle to make a quick buck off of someone and this is where the Richland county sheriff department takes their vehicles to be repaired. Yes I think the public has a right to know that not only are you possibly going to get lies to and ripped off by Davis auto performance if you take your own car there but your hard earned tax dollars are also going into the pockets of these thieves. We as tax payers have a right to also know the repairs done by Davis auto performance should be under question since we the tax payers pick up the bill for the service done to the Richland county sheriff department vehicles. If they are willing to lie and rip off regular customer then I really dont put it past them to pad and bloat a bill for the county that the tax payers pay for. So this is a community problem also. I know I work to hard every day just so Davis auto repair can quote a astronomical amount for a repair to a county vehicle when in reality there may be absolutely nothing wrong with it. But they know that they will get away with it because I feel they have ran this scam for quite some time. So I will alert everyone within my compasity to not only do not use this mechanic ( because most people are prob like me and dont have extra hundreds of dollars laying around ) but should almost feel offended and/or used because this same mechanic works on vehicles that us tax payers get to pay the repairs for.
