Fabulous store! Lovely merchandise and the owner (?) and employees were extremely friendly! I would shop here all the time if I lived closer!

I refused to spend the day bummed out and found a pleasant experience at this shop.This is the type of local coziness that I love to find in businesses during my travels. With unique pieces here, there and everywhere, your eyes are on constant alert. Soft pastels, antique whites, jewelry pieces and handmade quilts are some of the things I found that brightened up my day.Shopkeeper, Susan Doughty, is a pleasant hostess, making you feel at home; never rushing you or making you feel as though you’re a bother. I finally settled on a charming tea set to celebrate not only Valentines Day but the release of my new book.Overall: If you need an unusual gift or something to add a touch of whimsy to brighten you home or office, 1419 Mercantile is just the place to find it.

Despite living in MHK for years, I visited this store for the first time today and was very impressed. The shop is so cute and has such a friendly owner! I picked up Christmas foliage that was cheaper and higher quality than items at Hobby Lobby or Joanns. I also purchased two pallet Christmas trees for my front porch that the owners husband had made (priced significantly lower than anything comparable online). I will definitely be back and encourage others to stop by this cute boutique!

I had the most wonderful experience at 1419 Merchantile. I went in to look for a gift and found many options. I chose one and the owner of the shop wrapped it for me in Christmas paper and even put a battery in it since it requires one. I will definitely be returning.

Susan, the owner, is very friendly & knowledgeable about her stores inventory & how to create ones own masterpieces. She provides gift wrapping & great ideas whether as a gift, completing a space in your own home or a holiday treat. Wonderful addition to Manhattan, Kd.
