They will scratch your rim on the outside and ding your rim on the inside when putting on a $275 tire. Would not recommend this location. You will spend your money and double the time in fixing a flat if you take it here. They sent a guy to fix the outside but they dont fix the inside. Buyer beware.
I went here to get an oil change, replacement for engine coolant and rear differential fluid. I was hesitant with the reviews but everything turned out very great. I am very pleased and will be coming back in the near future.
This building is poorly managed. You have to checkout in the back where the tires are. They have two checkout lanes that are not in use towards the front of the store. This store is filthy. Displays are dusty. The chairs customers sit in daily are not sanitized or wiped down in the middle of a pandemic..You have auto techs pants halfway down on their behinds. Blasting hip hop music in the shop where the customers can hear it. Totally unacceptable. THE PRICES ARE NOT ACCURATE AT ALL. Tags show one price then ring up another. What is going on with this store/shop.
Victor and Norman were the service team members that worked with me to help me process my warranty and car repair. They were both very professional and patient with me. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to finish earlier than expected (especially on a Saturday).
I was extremely disappointed, and it was a waste of my time. I went in for a vehicle check since Ive heard something wrong with my vehicle. I do not mind waiting at all if the person informs me that it will be long and walk-ins were a thing. They made me schedule an appointment for what? I arrived for my appointment on time at 10am and I waited 2 hours for them to even bring in my vehicle. It was almost 12:40pm and I had to ask what was the status of my vehicle and the worker told me they had not even checked my car yet. If a place takes appointments, then abide by it. Dont make me come in at a time when you know you wont attend to that. Just do walk-ins and then I can fix my schedule around that. Thank you.Update: 10/18/21I decided to give the location another chance because maybe that day was not good for them. I told them my issue and they said they would look into it regarding my breaks. I stood there for 2 hours and the only thing they did was lift my car up and leave it there an hour after I got there. I watched the entire time and I decided to go ask for an update. They had the nerve to lie to my face and give me an update on my car which was a complete lie. They never took down the wheel/tires so how do they know what the problem was. And even if they did take it apart, they said it only needed lubrication on the bolts. So why didn’t they tell me this and I could have given them the yes to do it even if I paid. That’s why they are mechanics right? They were just LAZY and didn’t want to work. Complete waste of time a second time. Would not recommend them for anything, even to change windshield wipers…
I called pep-boys twice in a row to confirm the price of my battery + installation being $188 and after confirming the price I had my car towed there. The next day when talking to the worker on the phone he trued charging me $210 + $15 in labor. On top of that they told me I needed a new fuse box for which they charged me $150 + $75 in labor. The average cost for something like that should not be that high. With the phone answering I have personally experienced a hit or miss sometimes they answer right away, other times they answer and put you on hold forever or there just on top with answering it really varies. If, my car would have been drivable I would have taken it somewhere else. I will also not be returning as I felt overcharged and screwed over by pep boys. I wouldn’t recommend pep boys to anyone as there try to charge as much as they can possibly charge there customers.
I had my car inspected and it passed everything so im happy its a used car that I just bought . The service was much shorter than normal and the cost was cheap
Inspection and admission passed 2 years ago, but they did not do the headlight restoration and wipe blades and charged money for it. The car wasnt driven for a year. My mother went to do inspection again yesterday. Was told to come back within one hour, she came back to a bill of around $559 worth of repairs and the front desk said the inspection would not be passed unless she got these fixed. Mother went to another place to do admission today and was told the record shows admission passed and inspection failed. Mother says she never did admission and only did inspection. She requested another inspection and admission again and inspection passed, no issues with the car, and admission failed due to new car battery replaced recently. On the rejected inspection paper from Pep Boys, make was Ford, but on her bill, it was Ford Truck. Was also charged twice. Mother almost got scammed for repairs she didnt even need. Pep Boys was great before, but now it cant seem to be trusted. Wont be going there anymore. Might be better to know about your own car and fix it yourself.

First when i went there for a schedule appointment, i waited around ten minutes before anyone came to the front desk. I was told that there was a nail in my tire and that my pads and rotors needed to be replaced. After going to another shop for a second opinion. I was informed that neither of those things were true. I feel like I was trying to get scammed out of spending money. I will never be returning to Pep Boys.

Dont get your state inspection here. I was told my truck failed the inspection due to having LED headlights. When I showed the Service Tech the State Statute allowing LED Headlights he argued with me and refused to pass my truck. Also said the cab marker lights were not operational due to them flickering, but could not show me where marker lights were part of the inspection. Note most trucks dont have cab marker lights and these are NOT required for safety inspection as they are considered accessories.Manager was super and did not charge for the inspection, but I now have to have my failed truck reinspected.
Great service and awesome customer service! The manager was very friendly and polite and knew what he was talking about. They also have fair prices and I did t feel like I was being ripped off as mechanic shops usually tend to do. I will definitely be bringing my vehicle back to this shop.
Quick process to replace a few tires. Also reminded me about getting the safety inspection done and got that done simultaneously with the tires, two birds one stone. Would recommend!

This place(pep boys MANASSAS, VA) will scam you in their spare parts, they buy parts from their spare parts center and add 50 plus dollars top of the original price. Better buy spare parts by yourself to save extra dollars, we got to know when my honda civic Muffler and Resonator Pipe when they tried to replace the muffler they broke Resonator pipe asked me to buy since they don’t have parts In their center and they estimated part cost will be 120$ but we told we will get the parts from near pep boys location which only cost 75$ in the same place we enquired muffler cost only 100$, but Manassas pep boys charged 156$. When we raised concerns with them they said if we buy parts from their sales they will charge more what the hell in getting from same center additional cost of 50$? We were in assumptions what we are getting is original price but every parts they are cheating us, this is very disappointing and no transparency with the value of parts and service. Even they broke my resonator I end up in changing both on my expanse. Poor service and No Trust on this center.
Great experience with this store. Was given honest assessment and inspection of my vehicle in which they could have recommended a service but was told it can wait. Great advisors and great in store management. A lot of picky reviews here you want the most amazing looking store go to Greats Falls location then.

I got some tires installed by Amazon here at one point. But that’s not the problem. I even gave them some extra business to do a rotation and whatnot. Here’s the reason for the two star (and I feel I am bring generous with 2 stars). These people are not honest. They told me multiple things wrong with car, including “dry rotted” serpentine belt. I had two mechanics look at my vehicle and not only is my belt not “dry rotted”, it’s close to new. Buyer beware.

I work down the street from here, its nice having an auto parts store close to work so I can go someplace close for my hobby. The only downside is their is never staff in the parts section the last two, possibly three times I have visited. I did see an employee who was on a computer, on the phone. He looked at me and looked away, having worked in parts before he was probably a delivery driver. Regardless the store is big and their maintenance department is well stocked but parts and cashier need to improve.

Made an appointment in the morning for 530pm. I called back a little later to see if I could possibly get in earlier, and they told me to come at 3p. They got my truck in, put all 4 tires on, and got me out of there promptly. Salute the good folks up there @ Pep Boys.
I purchased new wheels and tires from the pepboys in manassas store 0162. I was getting a really bad shaking and rough ride at 50-60MPH. I took my truck back in to get the tires balanced the tech stated the wheels they sold me where out of round and that was my issue. I’ve only had these wheels for 2 months so I asked the manager to order me two more wheels to take care of this since they have a warranty thru ATD (AMERICAN TIRE) the manager then got nasty with me and didn’t want to help me. I got ahold of the area director JC Cleveland and he stated he wasn’t gonna help me out that I was out of $1700. I don’t want a refund I want my brand new truck to drive like a Brand new truck should. So I’m writing this to let you know don’t take your vehicle to pepboys in manassas they will take your money and not care for you or your vehicle. It’s sad that you can’t count on the big name companies to take care of our vehicles. Stay away.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! They cannot be trusted, they will make up or deliberately cause an issue with your car in order to charge you. This happened when I tried to get a VA. State Inspection, they did something to my exhaust system and failed the car. I took my rejection sticker and my car to another VA. State Inspection station and it passed with no problem. TOTAL SCAMMERS!

This is by far, the worst service. I bought brand new tires and 3 months later one of my tires kept losing air. I brought it back for them to check it out and there was a leak. They did not find anything in my tire, but they patched it and told me it was fixed, and told me my warning light would go off shortly. I left and drove around for 30 minutes to see if the light would go off and it didnt. I brought my car back and they said they would check it to see what was going on. Come to find out, they patched it, but didnt fill it back up with air🤔🤔 maybe they cant focus with all the loud music blasting. I will never do business with this outfit again. Trust me, this is not all of the bad things I have experienced with this place, but I dont even feel like explaining the rest of the situation.

I simply made an appointment because my 2 1/2 year old car was having a problem with my Left rear tire. I assumed maybe a nail or something got stuck in it and the tire was leaking air. So I asked them to patch it...45 minutes later of waiting..a guy walked back and tells me my tires are worn out and I need all 4 tires replaced and “ it’s unfixable” mind you my car is still new with low millage. He gives me an estimate of 630 dollars. I go somewhere else the same day they patched my tire and told me all 4 was in great condition. Terrible. Stay away if you don’t want to be taken advantage of.

They tried to charge me $1500 for something that my boyfriend did in a parking lot in like 2-3 hours. We bought all the parts & had to get some tools to do the job but it only cost us maybe $250-300!!!!! They tried to tell us that we needed to fix/repair all kinds of stuff that didn’t need to be fix!!!!! This is not the first time they tried to rip me off! Would never recommend anyone to go there.

Mind you, the only thing I can speak to is tire service, not the store or any other auto repair/service.I popped in here while out of town, to get balding tires on my rental replaced. Devin was able to work with Hertz (who is a pain in the a$$ to work with, even after they have rented you a car with balding tires…#BankruptForAReason) to get the paperwork/payment processed, and I was in and out within 90 mins. An hour and a half to replace a full set of tires seems a modern miracle in this USA, so, yeah, Devin, the techs in the back, and everyone else at this Pep Boys deserves a nod.Run from Hertz, though.
I use to brag about this place how good the customer service was not the same now. After being given instructions about my car the tech did the opposite of what was asked. Good price on my tires at least.

Went here on three separate occasions for service and was satisfied on every visit. First time was for tire replacement. Ordered tires the night before, arrived for my appointment the next day. Manager informed me the warehouse only sent 3 of the tires I ordered, so they upgraded my tires at no extra charge. Tires were mounted and balanced within 90 minutes.Next appointment was for spark plug and fuel filter replacement. Brought my own parts and they only charged me for labor. Service was done within an hour.Third appointment was for an oil change and tire rotation. This look the longest, at nearly 3 hours, however I made the appointment on a Sunday, and it looked like they were short-staffed. Once my car was in the bay, the actual oil change and rotation took about 40 minutes.Staff here is very friendly and helpful. This location is always busy, so best plan ahead with your appointments. Havent had any problems or headaches in my time here. I plan to visit again!

I now remember why I havent been to Pep Boys in over ten years. Shelves were messy, but I finally found what I wanted. Unfortunately, there is nobody at the checkout (big sign says Checkout) but the area is abandoned. I wondered around wondering how to pay. I asked one of the service guys and he said I can probably pay at the parts department in the back of the store. What is going on?! Parts guy was busy, of course, because hes the parts guy and is now asked to be a cashier as well. Whos managing this place?

I can honestly say Jimmie at Pep Boys in Manassas provided me with one of the best customer service experiences to date. I found a battery on the site which I wanted although I was unable to add it to the cart because it stated not being compatible with my car. Pep Boys is currently offering a 20% off promo online; I planned on ordering it and picking up at the store. I felt confident the battery would fit my car, so I decided to contact the closest location to me. I could not believe the level of help Jimmie provided me with! The definition of over and above!!My experience with the majority of employees at auto stores around here in Centreville has been abysmal to say the least, but Jimmie restored my faith. He confirmed they had only one left and the compatibly with my Mercedes model. Jimmie put the battery on hold for me. What amazed me is when he said the 20% off would be honored due to the issues online. In addition to the battery being installed at no charge. It turned out my battery was defective and under warranty from a place I bought it from locally a year or so ago.I felt the need to post about my experience which I rarely do. Jimmie is an asset to the company, thanks again for the A+ service you provided me with my friend!! Never lose that positive attitude it sets you apart from most people out there. You earned my business from here on out.
A friend recommended this PepBoys in particular even though it was a bit of a drive. It didnt disappoint! Great prices and service throughout the whole experience. Ive been going for maintenance a while now and recently purchased new tires through them. The online store helps you make a well informed decision by gathering all the deals/ rebates together, and makes scheduling an appointment at this location a breeze. On-site, there is plenty of parking, a nice/comfortable waiting area, and friendly techs.
Terrible place. Came with my 8 month old baby, it was 108°F and my AC was down. I just needed someone to help put the air conditioning recharge that I preciously bought at Auto Zone. But they refused saying the mechanic was busy. But thank God there was a kind customer who was listening to us and was concerned about the baby . So he came and helped recharging my AC so I could drive with my baby.Never again will I ever bring my car to Pep boys, they have no care and no compassion and definitely they dont deserve my business. Take your care elsewhere.
Not sure if this issue will be taken care of. I see the owner always replies the same answer to every customer that complaints. I recently needed to check on my AC and I have come back 4 times for the team to figure out what is wrong with my car. Every time I come back it takes one hour to figure out what is wrong and never have the issue fixed. I am so disappointed to see that a store can be operated by team members who do not do anything to think for the customer.
The guys here are great. They explain you the bill and split charges very well. The waiting room is not so great. I did my brake rotors service. I feeling it is good value for the money, which I look for the most when come to auto service.
Came in today due the ac blowing warm. Originally part of the diagnostic, they put some Freon and leak check but nothing came up and they said it was cold but when I drove off it was warm, came back and immediately addressed my problem, took more than a hour but I’m glad they praise quality over quantity as one of the technicians thought to look at a relay switch. It saved the worry of ac compressor and going to the dealership and spending hundreds on diagnostic fees. Thank You Pep boys of Manassas.

I came in here for a Free Engine Light Code Pull Service, which clearly states on the website includes them giving me the codes and the description of the codes. The guy who helped me wasnt friendly at all and also stated that all he could do was give me the codes and he said and I quote had to look it up they were trying to charge me for a service that says very clearly is free on the website. I sort of explained to him what was going on, he had absolutely nothing to say, rushed me and said here write the code, and pretty much figure it out. Before that he attempted to charge me for an engine diagnostic, which I had not come in for and thats stated on the appointment I made online. Anyway no help at all. I am very disappointed.
Way better than I expected. Normally I dont trust shops for repairs. Truly great people, thorough inspection and work by the mechanic and didnt break the bank. Even going to research an additional issue that they werent sure how to remedy. I would recommend this location.
This location is absolutely AWFUL. Since ICON purchased this location, it has become just a parking lot for Lyft rental vehicles. You pretty much cant park here and there is usually not anyone to help (those available are of great help) because on any given day, it seems that less than 10 people work in the entire store.

Very busy place! Good service, however the retail portion of the building is a bit disheveled, as seems to be common in Pep Boys around the country - it seems that they place more emphasis on parts and service than in retail. Otherwise, the staff are helpful and courteous, and the service is about as good as you will find anywhere else.
Was not very happy I ordered a battery made an appointment arrived for the appointment when they said the battery would be there battery never showed up my oil change got messed up the gasket supposably blew out had to drive all the way back for them to fix it turned into a big 3 hour ordeal was not very happy although they did not charge me for the oil change i do appreciate that. Just the overall experience was not what i hoped for. I got the pep boys card because i planned on using them alot but at this location i have been to many times their service is so slow and just not up to par

This is the most poorly managed place I have ever used. I called to check stock on a tire and they told me that they didnt have it in stock and they couldnt order it in the store. They said I had to order it online and have it shipped to the store and to make an appointment for installation online. I did and the day of the appointment, I went to the location and they not only didnt have the appointment in the system but they hadnt received the tire either. After being in the store for 1 1/2 hours, the store employee had to find someone else to help us as he couldnt order the tire either. Finally, the manager ordered the tire and made another appointment. So, not only did I leave work early to get to the appointment, spent another 1 1/2 hour in the store trying to resolve plus spent another hour drive time getting there and back. Nice waste of an evening. This is an example of the way business operates at this location. Three weeks ago I dropped of my other car for tire rotation, an alignment and to patch a leaking tire. I went back 3 hours later to pick up the car and the guy that had waited on me never put the ticket into the computer and went home! I was going on vacation that night and needed the work done as we planned to drive about 2500 miles. One of the guys there did plug the tire, but I still havent had the time to get the rest of the work done.This is hard to believe that the service there is so poor, but while we were waiting the other night there was another customer that was just as frustrated as she brought her car in for a brake job and they had her car on the lift for 3 hours before they informed her that they didnt have the parts. Really, why doesnt an automotive repair shop have an inventory of their products and provide any level of customer service. Really? Is that too much to ask?
Sorry unorganized store. Obviously no or poor managment. No one ever runs front register for guest convience. They will ignore you while you are waiting to be checked out.
I went in to buy some car polish, I picked it up from the shelf and then went to pay. There was nobody at the front counter, i waited for a few minutes and no one showed up. I walked over to the service counter and he gave me a slide and told me to go the the parts counter all the way in back of the store. I reluctantly walked over there, and there was one old guy eating a sandwich and a lady who was behind the counter and saw me approach walked away. I stood around for a while and nobody showed up at the parts counter. Then I looked back at teh front cash register and there were two people standing in line and there was someone ringing them up at the counter. I stood in line and waited my turn. When I did get my turn I wanted to let them know that I waited in line three times to get one turn, but the rude bi_ch would not hear it, and would not even talk to me, she just wanted to know if I still wanted the bottle of polish. For that my answer was a resounding no. I gave her a small piece of my mind and walked out. Their prices are more expensive than home depot and walmart.

Went in for small job ( one flat tire) and they didnt pressure me to buy a tire, they just patched it at my request. Alot of places will try and upcharge by telling you that you have to get a new tire. They were honest and awesome to deal with. Will refer them to family & friends and will definitely go again. Great costume service, and better mechanics. They even stayed open past closing to make sure my car was ready to go for me. Not the best facilities, place looks a little worn down and in need of an update. But definitely will go back.
Nice guys, but SLOW and mistakes were made. I came for tires for a 1-ton 15-passenger van. Took them over two hours to install the tires. They inadvertently sold me passenger car tires rather than Light Truck tires. Once this was discovered, they did agree to swap me to LT versions of my tires for free, but again it took them over two hours to make the swap. I’m glad they owned their mistake and made it right, but I probably won’t shop there in the future.
The store associate Nick was very helpful and friendly. I did a car drop off for new tires and everything went smoothly as I hoped. I will definitely be coming back to this Pep Boys and I highly recommend it!
Pep boys has most of what you would need for car maintenance, such as windshield wipers, fluids, brake parts, and a large assortment of tools. One thing they are unfortunately lacking is a extensive parts and tools inventory for foreign/German vehicles. Overall, a great store with decent prices. There are other parts stores nearby if pep boys doesnt have what youre looking for.
My appointment for a simple time rotation and oil change was at 10am. My vehicle did not go into the service bay until 11am. It took almost two hours for what should have been a 30-45 minute thing. The guy working on my car was on his phone most of the time and didn’t even look old enough to be working on cars. I will never come back to this pep boys ever again. The employees also didn’t seem to care that I was waiting or had been waiting. Many customers that came in after me, left before me. This is just unacceptable.

I called this store from the hours of 10:03 on Tuesday November 27. I lady picked and told me that If I want to talk to hertz rentals I have to Hang up and wait for a prompt after I have informed her that their prompt don’t work and keep bouncing back again and again to the menu even if you press 0, Bad customer service. All she could have done was to transfer me instead of simply hanging up.
Very helpful and knowledgeable parts counter clerk assisted me with a replacement car battery selection, courteous cashier rang up my sale quickly. I also appreciated the 10% militar discount on my purchase. I always enjoy browsing this store, will definitely return.
Driving past Bull Run, our wheel starting smoking. We limped back in to town. I took it to Pep Boys for problem diagnosis. They said brake was dragging on rear left, and needed replacing. They quoted me $859.00 for one side. When I started questioning labor/parts cost, the answers were very evasive with two Ill go check.... responses. Two women, out of town... We called several places, and got the job done at VA Auto Care. BOTH rear wheels for $426.00. The lesson: WOMEN BEWARE!
The parking lot was packed. So I know they are doing great repairs.The show room was large and there was a group participating in some demonstration/class. I had placed my order on line and arrived only for pick up, so I didnt really look around.When I walked to the back where the parts department is, there were two workers (one was obviously watching some video as he would burst out laughing periodically) and the other appeared to be stocking shelves from her barstool. Neither made a gesture to help. After about 3 minutes, this tiny girl approached and offered help. She immediately found my order and asked me to check out up front with some very clear instructions.The cashier was new and the trainer was very helpful to her and me as we did this together.Overall a good experience.
I got great service here, i needed a new battery and they got me in and out in under 15 minutes. The store manager made the process really easy and the mechanics made sure they did only what was needed.
Went to get a simple oil change that i could of done myself but i went here to save myself the time. When i came to pick my truck they didnt do an oil change was left with over 500+ dollars in damage. Took like 10 minutes for them to get my keys that they misplace. Never doing business with them again. Ruined my day. F this place
They had all the parts I needed for my Denali and customer service was great.
Had an appointment at 3 pm, but arrived 3 hours early. Despite being 3 hours early, they still took my car and finished up in less than 30 min. Oil change was $23.95. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!
On my way to DC about two hours from home, my car began overheating due to a broken belt and seized A/C compressor. I took my car to the Manassas Pep Boys to have the problem fixed. Before I gave the vehicle to them, I took pictures showing the condition. When I got the car back, my hood was dented and chipped, my engine cover was badly scratched, and my air intake cover was left loosely sitting on top of the intake with the push-pin fasteners missing. No one told me these things had happened. Thankfully, I did a thorough look over and noticed. I understand accidents happen, however, no one told me and the work done was very sloppy. Thankfully I had taken photos of the car before so I had proof the damage was done by them.Pep Boys Claims Department paid for my hood to be repaired and gave me a rental car while the work was being done. My rating is NOT for the Pep Boys brand or for the store management. Pep Boys made things right and took care of me. My rating is for the poor, sloppy job that was done at the Manassas location and because one of the mechanics damaged my car and seemingly didnt tell their manager about it.
