First time renting a trailer. The gentlemen who work the front was very nice. There was a line, but didnt mind it. I will be back in the spring to rent again!

Placed an online order for almost 100 moving supply items for pickup in store. Order said it would be ready for pickup at 5:15pm that evening. Upon arrival at 6pm, the order was not put together nor did the staff offer to gather any part of the order. Had to search for the items ourselves as well as take them out to the vehicle with no help from anyone. What is the point of ordering ahead online for store pickup when nothing was done ahead of time? Terrible service and won’t be recommending this location.**Also- don’t even try calling this location. Tried calling four separate times during the day I was suppose to pick up above order. Spent about an hour on hold hoping to talk to ANYONE simply to let them know we were going to be a tad late to pick up and no one ever answered the phone. Guess it didn’t matter because the order wasn’t even prepared then anyways.

Professionally acting staff, and calm, quick process. I accidentally reserved the pickup in the wrong store location, but the staff changed it, and made sure I didnt have to worry. I picked up something around 250 lbs, and when inspecting the vehicle, Omar (he also took care of my faulty reservation) helped me carrying out of the van. Big props to Omar, and great facility.The van that I rented today was also very clean, and drove nice. This is enough for 5/5 stars from me!

If I could give less than a one-star rating, I would. I had the WORST customer service that I’ve ever had.I ordered a hitch to be installed for my vehicle. They called me saying the order was blank; I called the parent company who insisted the order was fine. Long-story-short I’ve spent over 10 hours cumulatively on hold with this U-Haul center. I’ve been to the store twice with no resolution for my issue, and on one occasion came in thinking I had an appointment, only for them to inform me the parts weren’t actually in yet.THREE times, they promised they would call me back with more information and failed to follow up on that promise. The communication has been terrible, they never answer their phones, and are generally completely incompetent and unable to help. At this point I’ve had to file a dispute on my credit card just to get my deposit back.If anyone from U-Haul is reading this, Omar Guevara was assigned to my order. I was told he would call me back several times and he never did.

I had a pretty good experience dropping off a cargo trailer at this location. It was close to a 15 minute wait before a staff member was able to begin the paperwork for the drop off process but once we were underway, everything went smoothly. A quick overlook of the equipment followed by employee unhooking and we were all wrapped up. Easy access from the road space in the lot.

I was in a very bad situation and needed a storage and after going there 4 times. The male employee’s that was there name Luic and I forgot the female name but that got me together and was able to get a storage. Only if they knew what they really had made possible for me! So thankful!!!

This place is literally a Seinfeld episode.We made a reservation for a storage unit months ago. Showed up today and were told storage units are first come first serve and they have nothing available.Which begs the question: what the hell is a reservation for then?See the Seinfeld episode. It apparently was based on this Uhaul location.As anyone from Madison knows, *all* apartment leases end tomorrow and move-in day is 3 days away, so since Uhaul didnt honor its reservation, we have a very big problem were dealing with today.All because Uhaul doesnt know what a reservation is.Thanks Uhaul.

I ordered a hitch from UHaul.com, and received an email with a time/location for the install.When I arrived at correct location, U-Haul Moving & Storage of Warner Park, at the designated time, they didnt know anything about my install and didnt have the hitch I needed. They couldnt tell me when it would be in, and were very backed up and couldnt tell me when they could do the install.They gave the the impression that it was my fault for ordering on Uhaul.com, and acted like they werent even part of U-Haul, even though they are a major U-Haul store/storage location.While the front desk person was polite and helpful, and refunded my money, the installer was surly and unprofessional, and gave me little confidence that the hitch would have been installed correctly.I found somewhere else to have my hitch installed, and would certainly NOT recommended U-Haul Moving & Storage of Warner Park for hitch installs.

I used to like UHaul. Now I hate them because of this branch.I had a reservation that was going to expire at 3:30Pm. I called UHaul and told them that I was going to be late. I requested them to extend my reservation after staying on the line for 21 mins. Customer rep from UHaul told me my reservation was extended till 5:30 PM.Later this local office called me and said I was late to return the equipment. When I told them that UHaul Customer Rep had extended my reservation, they treated me like a liar and double charged me for everything. The lady on the phone who was extremely rude told me that she was not informed about the extension.If you really need UHaul go to another office. Stay away from this place.

I am EXTREMELY unhappy with the service at U-Haul. I made a reservation almost 2 months prior to my rental dates (June 8th), then this week I noticed that my reservation had been changed without my knowledge from a 48 hr reservation from 6AM on July 31st to a 19 hr reservation from 4:15PM on July 31st (which is 5 hours after my designated move out time). When I called the location to ask what happened they said they cant do multi-day rentals near the end of the month even though I definitely was able to do that online a month ago. They then offered to switch my rental to a one-way rental instead of local move and charge me more money and not guarantee I even get a truck. They said someone would call me by 6PM that day to help me... and big surprise I never got a call. When I contacted corporate to see if there was anything they could do they said reservations are not confirmed until THE DAY BEFORE. That is completely insane to only confirm a rental that close to such an important date. I was never notified of these policies and I feel U-Haul is misleading people to rip them off. So much for a guarantee from you guys. I will never be doing service with this company again and I will be telling my friends and family to do the same.

I went to this facility to pick up my UBOX which was shipped from AZ without my Permission. Though I was happy it was here I was charged waaaaay more then was supposed to be. When I arrived the man said I had to call them 800 number to pay as they weren’t able to run payment since I hadn’t paid for the shipping that I didn’t even know had happened. I left and called the number at which time I put in a disagreement with price and needed to wait 72 hours. The very next day at 6AM I found almost $1400 to have came off my card. This site had run my card though they said they could not and for waaaaay more then The disgruntled price. I have now been on the phone for a total of 27 hours with uahul corporate etc to get this matter taken care of and still don’t have my damn money! I will never use uhaul ever again for anything!

My daughter is a junior at UW and I needed a place to store her stuff for about a month between apartment leases. Were in Northern California so logistics have been tough to deal with during the COVID situation. Omar was a great help, and set us up with a rental van and storage unit. Very smooth process and we really appreciated Omars courteous and very positive attitude. Thank you!

Was a great experience, did everything online and when I picked up the trailer I pulled in they hooked me up and I drove out with the trailer. Also I had a problem with my receiver and he got on and put it on for me no charge.

The service here was excellent - very clear with instructions, kind employees, and efficient processes. The facility was spotless. The garage for trucks and all of the equipment for moving was a lifesaver. I called them after another company I had a reservation with closed their office on the weekends without notifying those with reservations. I was in a total bind with a truck packed with my entire apartment and nowhere to go. They were understanding, flexible, and super quick to find me something. Saved the entire move and a bunch of money for me. Couldnt recommend more.

Brittany and her team are absolutely incredible! I am a pharmaceutical sales representative so I store my samples in the U-Haul storage facility. The facility is always clean and organized. The staff is always extremely helpful and friendly. My samples are shipped to my storage unit so Brittany and her team are always willing to help me manage those shipments and deliver small shipments into my storage unit. I highly recommend this U-Haul facility for all of your storage needs! Brittany is a dream to work with!

Nightmare experience. Tried getting movers added to my order because I got surgery recently. Customer service lied about the movers being able to drive to my place. Was nearly impossible to get in contact with the contracted moving company. Just use a better moving company.

We rented a van for a trip to FL to do post Hurricane Michael clean-up at a business we own there. Due to the extent of the damage, we needed to extend our rental contract twice. The staff at this location went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. All our interaction with were wonderful and they kept the pricing fair. Id give them 10 stars if I could!

Glad this was close by and I was able to get a van on short notice. I got a brand new cargo van with air conditioning and rear cameras. It was super easy to drive and held a lot of stuff. I was thankful for their help in letting me rent that for 24 hours. Its a nice facility with rental vehicles, moving supplies, and storage units.The only thing I wish were different is I wish that the guy who pulled up the van I was renting hadnt made a sexist comment to me about being able to drive a van and move on my own.

After 13 minutes on hold I found out that they had what I needed. Went to pick it up and the sales person help me install parts.Very helpful !

I was here to help my friend rent a storage locker. We wanted a locker at the Packers Ave location, but the downtown location was able to assist is with our reservation. My friend is going through a hard time, as it was a bit difficult (we had to call a third party for payment, ect.) A woman named Chloe helped us and she was just the sweetest as can be. A+ customer service. Great rates too. It was only around $50 a month!!!!

I am guessing this is a difficult business to get positive reviews so I thought Id share some quick thoughts. Ive used this locations multiple times to rent a car trailer for our race car. Each time, the staff here has been courteous, professional and efficient. They seem to know their stuff and care about doing a nice job for the customers. Ill keep coming back and I hope you have the same experience I have.

Very annoying phone system. Dials for 60 seconds, automated message finally picks up, then makes you go through 4 or 5 different automated menus again. No other truck rental place does that, a person answers. Incredibly annoying and I hung up after they kept asking me to press 1 for... press 2 for... wont be getting my business.

I just spent a half an hour trying to use the app and then the online/web based platform to return my equipment. The “network” kept failing. Super frustrating and not how I want to end a long day. What’s more, I’m not the only one here right now trying to return equipment. If U-Haul wants us to do more of the check in on our own, they need to invest in the infrastructure to make it possible otherwise you end up with frustrated customers who think twice about coming back.Overall: Staff were helpful and friendly. Equipment was easy to reserve through the app but there were more supply issues than I thought would happen at a brand location. The place felt understaffed every time I have been here, too.There’s a clear push to use the app to do everything (reserve, check-in, return equipment). That’s great and all, but then there needs to be WiFi on site given that is pretty much a dead spot.

Low Star Rating due to limited time open. Im sorry but out of all the days in Madison WI. You should have extended hours around end of July and. Most of August. That is when all the leases are up. We were combating the limited time the place was open and spot in line to load our van. Nice new clean place though.

Customer service is really solid. The storage facility is decent. Its a converted warehouse, so it has quirks but is solidly secure.

Their exit door was broken in the storage section earlier this fall and they didnt warn anyone. I was told I had to wait until morning to leave. It took an hour and a half for someone to remotely open the door. I dont trust the building or the people.The storage section is well renovated, unlike the campus location with cages in the basement. Their tools and boxes are very cheap and the storage rates are reasonable. But I would never come here again. Got my stuff out and not looking back!

Terrible experience! Multiple calls to this location to make a trailer reservation. Was put into a call center each time. Finally used the call center to make my reservation. The call center couldnt make the reservation for me because it was for 7 days which required higher management. I made numerous calls to the # I was given of which an automated system answered and a I sat on hold for 30 minutes before hanging up each time. On about my 5th try I got lucky and actually got a live person and he was able to make my reservation.The day I went to pick up my trailer at this location I was rudely told that they didnt have a trailer for me despite having numerous email and text confirmations of my rental at this location. The agent I worked with was Abigale Lindsay. She was rude. She was unapologetic. She let me know how the people through the call center make a lot of mistakes that cause her/that location a lot of inconvenience, but failed to acknowledge the inconvenience this was causing us. She told me there were no other trailers available in Madison and I could come back the next day and they might have a trailer (I needed the trailer that day, thus the reason for making the reservation). She finally decided to call a manager who after a lengthy conversation shared that the trailer we were supposed to rent had been in a wreck and wasnt available. No one was able to explain why I hadnt been notified. I ended up driving to another location that is out of my way to get a trailer. This entire experience was one hassle after another! Abigale Lindsay at the Packers Ave location would benefit from some customer service training and the Packers Ave location is extremely unorganized!

It been updated a little for as security it clean but prices are High for monthly payment $95+not many deal unless you go online

First of all, first and WORST experience of renting with Uhual. My husband and I rented a trailer because we were moving cross country from Wisconsin to Colorado. We reserved the trailer online a few months before our move. The day of the move comes, my husband, dad and brother-in-law all go together to get the trailer. Upon arriving, my husband makes small talk to the guy working the counter and mentioned to him that we were moving out of state to Colorado. There were 3 people standing at the counter listening to my husband talking about this is his first time renting a Uhaul and driving cross country. After the guy at the counter gives my husband the paperwork to sign, then the guy showed us him and and helped him connect the trailer to the car. The guy who helped him never actually went over the contract and explained anything.Once we returned our trailer, we got a bill stating that we owed over $1000 due to the fact that the trailer was supposed to be returned to Madison. The guy who helped us put in the wrong information, even after having a conversation with my husband about moving....so therefore we were NOT returning back to Madison.Go over the contract with the customer and make sure that everything is right BEFORE you have the customer sign a contract and get stuck with a bill of over $1000. Train your people better and have them double check their end so this doesnt happen to anyone else.

Opened the store 45 minutes late. Did not have the truck ready which delayed my schedule even further. Did not have the dollies I requested when I placed my order. Ill order from another location in the future

Just awful. Worst experience ever. Ive been renting from U-Haul for years, and called in to rent a vehicle today. When I arrived at the location to pick up the vehicle I checked in and completed the entire process, and paid for it. As we were going to inspect the vehicle I was told rudely told that I had an e-alert, they couldnt rent to me and had to call to get it resolved. They told me I had nearly a $400 balance from 2006. I have rented from them 4 times for cross country moves since then and never heard of this, including just last year. I was shocked and couldnt understand how this just popped up. Why wouldnt they charge me at the time? Why not on any of my rentals since? Why didnt the person making the reservations see this.Ill never rent from U-Haul again, and I will recommend anyone else to anyone who will listen to me.

Easy pick up and easy drop off. Total 89$ for 1 day 60 miles, insurance, with a van.

Made reservation for truck a week in advance and was told everything was fine...when I showed up they didnt have the correct size dolly for my car and referred me all the way to West Allis which is over an hour away. Tim said hell discount truck being that I had to since so far but when I did the math it turned out to be the same amount they quoted before taxes and fees. Ps. Ill have to go do a review for the u-haul in West allis as well...because now Im stuck I the Middle of nowhere with my car hanging half off the dolly I drove over an hour to get...smh!

The staff who I signed the contract with is friendly, the storage is clean.However, we made one trip to an apartment 6 miles away but were charged $33(56 miles) for mileage. Customer services would not offer a solution. Very disappointed.

If you don’t want to deal with one person check in and out don’t go to this place on Sundays. What a nightmare!!!
