Nice folks but on fnm the host made the 15 people that showed up on time at 630 wait until nearly 7 to start drafting because two people who never even played magic before came in literally at 630, the host explained them how to play magic for at least 20 minutes, and they never even stuck around to draft!! Sorry Im not a fan of that I will go to misty mountain from now on they have a mic tighter ship

I have been going to Pegasus off and on for about 15 years now, and want to say that it is definitely better with the new management. However, it is still far from being a top gaming store. My experience today basically sums up what it is like to shop there. Went in (03Nov2021, 12:30p CST) to see what they had for Games Workshop items and asked the woman working there if they did the standard GW discount. Her reply was a very condescending, and long winded, no. Both Im Board Games (in Sun Prairie and Middleton) and Noble Knight Games (in Fitchburg), along with just about every single online retailer, gives the discount.If you are looking for anything Games Workshop, please do not let them price gouge you. Go to any of the other three local FLGS instead. The staff at Im Board Games is much friendlier and much, much more knowledgeable as well.

Great place for all your table top needs. Good prices and they have a rewards card. Staff are friendly and willing to answer any questions you have.

We love this store for Pokémon cards. The guy who works on Saturday mornings (Zach) is so helpful and kind to our kids and really takes the time to explain info about cards to them. We are so lucky to have a store like this in our community.

Patrick knows his stuff and is very helpful. Always gives the best prices on any singles and is always willing to work with you on trade-ins. Pegasus games is definitely the best shop in Madison, for products, prices, and customer service.

Still a ways to go but under new ownership takes time. Good place with good stock and very friendly. Hope they start doing game nights once covid is done.

I used to come here about 10 years ago when my friends were into MTG. I recently have gotten into Pokemon, and the guy I usually deal with (Patrick) is a joy to talk to, and clearly loves what he does, and takes a LOT of pride in it. When I pulled the Pikachu V-Max secret rare (Yes, the $240 one), I got so excited I had to call him, and he was just as excited as me. And everyone else I have talked to there really does everything they can to help their customers out. These people love their job, and take care of their customers.

I went in today to get some sleeves, got the wrong size, but the employee (a kind person) let me know that they wouldn’t fit my Pokémon cards (I got small and I needed standards) so I appreciated that...it’s a good thing I got sleeves cause I needed them. I bought a pack of Pokémon cards and got a full art! It was a good visit.

First time I was there the atmosphere was super unfriendly. A good friend of mine is trying to get me into DnD so i decided to look into it.. I had never looked at DnD or Game shop like that, but I will not be back.

Staff is usually unfriendly. They also price gouge their new Pokemon cards. I would say to go to Im Board but they also price gouge, at least their staff is friendly though.

I am not too versed in games of this nature in this store, but I came here with a friend and I was pleasently surprised by the wonderful interactions I had. The person was super knowledgeable and was very patient while we looked around and even offered help in allowing me to understand certain topics. Id definitely visit here again.

Bought package of 100 lands, did not even have 100 lands in it, only 84 in there. Do not trust this place, if you do buy check everything before you leave.

A fun little shop we stop by every time we swing in to Madison. Great selection of games and supplies.they have a spare game room and welcome anyone to a game. Take advantage of their garage saleswhere there is something for everyone at a bargain price.

Solid gaming shop with a good selection... especially for its smaller size. Large gaming area added next door to thier shop for playing, events and tournaments. Always friendly and helpful staff and the store has been there for decades. Theyll also order items for you if they dont have it in stock.

This gaming shop had a wide variety of games: table top rpgs, board games (seriously they have something for everyone), collectible card games, strategic war games (WarHammer). They also have dice bins for a build your own set adventure. If you know a gamer or are a gamer and you need a gift/want awesome stuff this store would be an excellent choice. They also have an area for people to play cards. If you have questions ask the staff. They are friendly and knowledgeable.

I love going to Pegasus. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They have a wide selection of games and miniatures and what they dont have they likely can order for you. In my opinion they are the best hobby store in town.

-Quality- A good selection of products, lots and lots of different things. Well kept and easy to navigate and find what youre looking for.-Appeal- There is a gaming area, named the playground right next door. There was a bit of lack of selection of specific products, but its not a huge area, so limiting how much you carry of certain products is a necessity. Nonetheless, I was extremely satisfied with what they did have.-Service- Absolutely outstanding. As I was browsing their products, my girlfriend casually noted an interesting looking game on the shelf, and the store owner immediately asked if wed like to know more about it. She explained the basic gist of the game and then spent about 10 minutes discussing it with us. She was extremely helpful, and even helped me decide between some products I was stuck between.-Overall- I will be going back soon, and I will certainly recommend it to all my friends. Its made it into my list of favorite game stores.

Great local game shop. They have board games, card games, role playing games, and all the accessories to support. The staff are friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. They will gladly walk you through the store and suggest games for you (as they have done for us multiple times). We dont live close but make a point to visit whenever were nearby.

Shopping at Pegasus has always been a fun experience for me. Like other gaming stores you can go there and find a wide selection of games and quite a bit of room to play the games. What really makes them great is the customer service. The staff is eager to help if you need it, knowledgeable and honest, and all around fun to be around.

Friendly helpful staff. Weather you want a hard to find game or dont know what game you want next they have it or will find it. And most games you can try or talk with someone who has tried it. My wife and I went in to find some games one night and the employee who helped us was super-friendly and did a great job of recommending appropriate games. The store section is small but they pack a lot of board games, miniature painting, trading card games, Rpg books into it. Staff is always friendly and they will special order anything that they dont have. Ive never have a bad experience there. They have a rewards program that is a bonus to return shoppers. I always try to support good local businesses like these even if Amazon does sometimes have better prices.

Good staff, friendly and helpful. Tables are plentiful, and in a different room then the store itself. They stock a bit of everything, including the major collectible card games, miniatures, and board games.

The staff is great. Theres actually two separate doors, the store isnt connected to the gaming space. They have plenty of terrain and are the only place in Madison to hold organized play for some smaller miniatures games.

I love this place, it has a decent selection of games, a decent sized gaming room (next door), and a somewhat helpful and friendly staff.Some of their staff have mixed reviews but in general they are nice.I recommend this Pegasus besides that some of the items may cost a bit more than other stores.

Pegasus has been a Madison tradition for 40 years or so, under the same ownership and management. I bought my first RPGs from Lory, the Pegasus Boss Lady, in 1979. Ive been buying games there ever since. They really know games. If buying local, and from local institutions, is important to you, head to Pegasus.

The selection wasnt quite as large as I was hoping for (we only found a couple of the games on our list of stuff to look at), but the guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful, even offering to special order stuff for us. Well definitely be going back!

This is a really good game shop. They have a lot of games and their staff is very knowledgeable about most everything they have stocked. I was very surprised that they had a number of games that had Kickstarter Exclusive items for sale. It was exciting to see pieces that I missed on kickstarter that I could pick up locally. I have been there a couple of times to play Heroclix but it has been a few years. They are very friendly.

Multiple terrible experiences. The products are decent enough, but the staff is argumentative, unhelpful, and disrespectful. The card singles are overpriced. The process of even asking for cards is over-complicated and tedious. I have repeatedly come out of the store with a bad taste in my mouth after a poor experience with the staff.In my opinion, go across the street to Mox.
