Mox is the best game store in the Madison area. The staff are all super friendly and will help you as best they can with any recommendations or anything else you might ask.The in-store play is always great, and I feel like a lot of players come to have fun and are very helpful to newer players.

Have been here before when they were on Odana. This new location is amazing. Lots of space and merchandise is what you need. Also the employees are cool

Ordered online mid afternoon & was able to stop in 3 hours later for a quick & easy in-store pick up. I chose to go in because there were a couple more things I wanted to grab, but they have curbside pick up available. Lots of space, great selection, very clean, & great staff.

Excellent customer service resolving an issue I had; took time to make everything right and was extremely responsive to my concerns. Any company can make a mistake -- its part of being an organization made up of humans. The measure of a good business is the ability to fix a mistake once it happens. One of the top spots for Magic of all formats and flavors, theyve expanded to include a bunch of extra game store items, like 40k and board games. The owner Mike is a great guy too. Its my store of choice for Magic in all of Madison!

The staff here are always knowledgeable and very helpful in finding cards or suggesting other options. The tournaments and events are well managed and their nightly games are very welcoming. I love that they also sell some board games and D&D figurines.

I just bought my first ever MTG booster box from Mox, and they gave me a few extra promo packs on top of the standard promo card!

Love how nice everyone is there. Mike is very helpful I brought in one of my decks of MTG cards the other day and asked for advice on what to do with it, what to keep and what to swap with different cards. He showed me multiple cards I could use in my deck to make it stronger. Mox Mania is an amazing place to go and get advice on what to do with your decks of cards so definately would recommend going here.

Wow. I cant say enough good things about this place. My wife and I are new to Magic and if it wasnt for Mike and the guys at this store we would have been lost and gave up right away. I walked into Mox Mania to sell some of my old MTG cards. The staff was friendly, and I was given very fair prices for my MTG cards. I definitely recommend this establishment.

Super friend staff! I was from out of town and looking for a place to hang out, maybe make a trade or two, and it totally fit the bill. They use TCGPlayer for pricing and trading, which I appreciate. Good selection of singles, packs and other product. Plenty of space to play. Magic events 6 out of 7 days a week.

Mox mania is a great place to have fun on fridays. The staff works very hard pulling orders and interacting with customers. The staff are 95% friendly and that’s good considering how long and hard they work. My only real complaint is the decrease a while ago in the value of packs in store credit. It was very convenient going 2-2 and trading in.the two packs you won for 2.50 each so you didn’t have to bring money next week. Now they’re worth 2.25 a piece, which is minor however a bit annoying, just like making candy 1.25 instead of 1$. It’s just a matter of convenience. It’s not a problem though if that can’t change back to the old way, it would just be nice.

Rating heavily depends on who were talking about. They have a ton of Magic cards and accessories, and its awesome that their website is set up to allow you to buy singles for in-store pickup (even if their server architecture is woefully underpowered and results in extreme lag on their site). If we are talking about John, I want to give them a solid 5 stars. Never a bad experience with him. Mike, on the other hand, is absolutely a 1. Rude and unprofessional doesnt even begin to describe his attitude. I had placed an order online last night for in-store pickup. It had a lot of singles and I wasnt in a hurry for them, especially as it is a pre-release weekend. This afternoon, we were over by them just by circumstance, so I thought I would give them a quick call and see if the cards were ready. I explained that I just happened to be in the area, and that I knew they were busy and would be more than happy to stop back another day. No problem on my end. He said that he actually had begun putting them together and that they would be ready in 15 minutes. We ran a few more errands and got there 30 minutes later. He wasnt done yet, no big deal. My wife and I were happy to look around the store and I even found a couple of neat deckboxes that I wanted. While we were waiting, he began talking to another person (another employee? No idea who it was) about how ridiculous my order was, and how much he hated putting it together. He made a comment about how he couldnt wait to be done with it, and continued on and on. I was standing right there in front of him. Thats absolutely terrible customer service and I wont be going back ever again. If this was a one-time thing, I would chalk it up to him having a bad day, but this has been every interaction for as long as Ive been shopping there. Why would I pay for an experience like that?Edit: Based on the owners response, I may have the employees names switched. Thats a simple enough mistake to make as they do not usually say their names in person. I otherwise stand by my review. And telling me that the security footage doesnt show anything? Look for when my wife and I were standing right across from the counter looking at the board games while one guy was putting together the deck and talking to another guy with longish dark hair and wearing a dark shirt. I just tried calling to speak with Mike and was told that he wont be around much this weekend, so theres not much chance of my reaching him.

Excellent selection of card game accessories in a family-friendly atmosphere. We had a great time.

The staff seems to hate the idea of a customer. For me and my friends magic is really just a silly hobby. When we go in to buy singles and ask to double check the price of each card before we make it official, that should not be grounds to give us looks and heavy sighs. If you make a customer feel like a bother then that is what they will be. Their prices with that said are either at or above normal market average for some cards. It gets even more so looking at their online retail, the bulk of the business, you will see the price discrepancies.

In my personal opinion the best card shop in town! They have the largest selection of tournaments, give the largest prizes for these tournaments, and the registrations fees are really fair. Also, I went there for a prerelease and they had multiple judges guiding the event which meant that people could not cheat (which is is super annoying when you suspect cheating happening). 5/5

I love this place, friendly staff (let you finish you game before they boot you), they have a large selection of MTG and other cards, they have a growing selection of tabletop games, a large game room with game systems and a couch to chill on while you wait for the next tournament round to begin, and have a fair price on TCGs.I recommend this place, but if it gets full and you need a place to play games, look crossed the street, at Pegasus, Moxs equal in manors of gaming space.

The intense focus this store has upon Magic The Gathering fascinates me. Sure, they have other products as well, but the sheer dedication people have for this game and thus store keeps me smiling when I visit to play games.

Mox is a fun place to go play magic, its usually crowded but thats ok. Staff there is sometimes nice, they really care more about the adults and the people that are buying things worth more money than the kids that play there, but they are still usually nice.

I ordered four beta Sinkholes from Mox Mania through TCGPlayer which were all marked as heavily played. Upon arrival, three out of the four were damaged. There was cracking in the top left corner of one, cracking in the bottom right corner of another, and the edges of the third were completely botched.

Ordered cards numerous rimes via tcgplayer. This was my first and last in store visit. Waited over 20 minutes to checkout without acknowledgement. When other person finally checked everyone out he checked out those who were only waiting a few minutes first. Lousy customer service!!
