They to charge a $94 diagnosis charge plus $50 cash only deposit when I already had the diagnosis of what was wrong and was looking for a quote to replace the power supply, couldnt even provide how much they would charge to replace the power supply or how much the power supply would cost without first bringing them the tv and paying the $94 diagnosis charge plus $50 cash only deposit. Also stated he wasnt even sure if they could order the power supply for that tv. So you are asking me to pay $144 to determine if you can even order a part? What a bunch of crooks!

I had my VCR repaired about 2 months ago it took about 3 weeks they where great and great service they called me back to say what was the problem I will go back to them again I wish they had a store for the east siders thanks again!

We recently had a newer tv stop functioning on us, and as it was warranty the manufacturer set us up thru Modern TV for its repair. They diagnosed the issue, as luck would have it the part came in the next day; and the tv was quickly repaired and ready to go. So a fast turnaround and great customer service.

The people here have gone above and beyond for us. They replaced a USB plug for us and explained the risks first, then went ahead and worked to fix it. They did it efficiently and promptly contacted us when it was finished.

The lady on the phone was very friendly and able to provide the info I needed to know about cost of bringing a TV in for repair. I was told they charge $94 plus tax to look at the TV. Theyll call and tell you whats wrong and if you want it fixed they apply the charge to the final bill. If you dont want it fixed the keep the full $94 plus tax. Still too expensive if you end up not wanting it fixed or it unrepairable.

They were able to fix a 1970s Pioneer receiver for me. Friendly service and excellent communication! Prices were OK; probably fair for the work being done. They were willing to take the repair when no one else would touch it. Thanks!

Franks experience of 10 months ago reflects absolutely my experience this week. Problem with my TV which I described in detail by phone. For $181 I had the joy of a technician come to my. Home and repeat exactly what I told him to a senior technician by phone, who miraculously diagnosed the problem as a main board failure. why could he not have done that when I described the failure modes in detail. The guy visiting my home actually said do you think I need to remove the back of the tv? Totally unprofessional, inept, ignorant to an unacceptable degree. Avoid this company like the plague!

They took care of our needs and stayed open late to accommodate us. Very happy!

Modern TV has been great to work with, and they always make sure that whatever equipment is worked on is repaired properly. I send a lot of specialty broadcast equipment to be repaired by them, always a 5 star experience!

I brought in a flatscreen that wasn’t working. They said it would be $150 to diagnose the problem. When I asked how often flatscreens weren’t repairable the woman at the desk wouldn’t look me in the eye and kept repeating “we won’t know what’s wrong until we look at it” I kept repeating the question that she refused to answer: “what percentage of the time, give or take, are the televisions irreparable?” And she’s keep giving me the same canned answer looking very guilty. I had them look at the TV and surprise surprise - irreparable. I believe in keeping appliances alive as long as possible, and I’m willing to pay more to do so - but this felt dishonest and predatory and I will never do business with them again.

Brian was very professional and fixed my tv quickly. Will return for future work. I recently returned to purchase a bulb for my tv and they were again very friendly. I wouldnt hesitate to return for future service.

Paid $120 for them to tell me they cant fix my old Sansui with a scratchy R channel. With my limited knowledge even I know the problem was the electrolytics given its age. Complete rip-off.

He has brought my Fisher AD-Z1 CD Player back to life. He is currently working on my Accuphase T-100, Pioneer SX-1080 and Nakamichi Cassette Deck. Prices are fair and knows what hes doing. Ive tried places in Milwaukee and Modern TV will take it on. As a vintage audiophile collector there isnt many left! He will take on a basic VCR, video camera, iPod radio, speakersc Tv to High end Mcintosh! Rock on Jim! Youll have hundreds of more pieces coming youre way. Thank you! As people read some reviews some items can be saved because parts arent made for a lot of things but they will try there hardest to find the part if available. Keep in mind if its not repairable at least they will put in 110% effort to try! 5 stars all the way! ;)

Helped out my mother in her retirement community with her TV when everyone else passed the buck. They are awesome!

Not very impressed. Cost me nearly $180 just to get the tech out for the SmartTV, he putzed around for about 10 minutes after I explained the problem (didnt even bother to run tests or investigate a cause other than trying to turn the TV on and off) then spoke on the phone with someone else about what the problem might be and then told me its probably the mother board and if they order it, estimated cost around $268. I told him to go ahead and order it but about a day later I get a call from them that Samsung no longer supports those boards and they cant do much else. So, I guess I have a $2000 doorstop.I checked out eBay and got a motherboard for $40, installed it myself but that wasnt the problem. Got another repair company coming out to take a 2nd look.Well see what they come up with but Modern TV is not recommended.

I used to work for american tv,i got 25 off parts and labor and modern tv was the same priceservice was promt fixed first time wonderful experiance would highly recommend them

Price was a little high but they got it done most of the cost was a new hdmi board for my modern receiver labor cost was pretty ridiculous as it takes very little time to replace the board Ive done it before in less then 20 minutes so $130 in labor was higher than expected
