I came in with a list of products I needed to replace after they expired during the pandemic. At 5:30 on a Thursday there were only two service people, neither of whom worked at the Mac counter. The over-rouged counter woman told me Id have to wait my turn and seemed to feel I was a nuisance. She was quite dismissive and rude--I felt like an awkward 12 year old! I wont be using Mac or Macys again.

I just left the store (2/26/21 at 6:15pm) madison hilldale. I came in with a list of cosmetics that I needed to purchase. When I arrived, the women working was talking with what appeared to be a friend. They were showing pictures on their phone and the worker didnt even approach me to see if I needed help. The conversation was not related to products at all. I waited at least five minutes, moved around, watched their conversation hoping she would help me or at least acknowledge I was there. Needless to say, I left without any help or purchasing any products. I was surprised social hour superseded customers. I will not be returning.

My friend and I made a make-up appointment the same day and when we arrived 15 minutes early, they got us in the chair right away. The girls were so fun and did such a great job. I love my make-up and they also made great recommendations on great MAC products!

Don’t believe the negative reviews. A friend and I called today to get makeup appointments, and they were able to get us in short notice. We had the BEST experience and felt like we were hanging out with friends. They knew the products really well and taught us as they went. My makeup looks AMAZING! Hasn’t looked this good since my Uni days. Thanks again, ladies!

Went today to buy 2 items. I knew exactly what I needed. Neither of the 2 people in cosmetics knew what the items were or where they were at the counter. One of the woman was very rude and told me I had to come back when regular salespeople were there. I made a special trip to buy MAC cosmetics. I love MAC, but service here today was terrible. Ordered my items directly from MAC instead.

Im kinda OCD about lipstick so I went here around dinnertime on a weeknight to avoid a busy makeup counter. I wanted to find a new color that wasnt too shiny. The saleswoman suggested the new Powder Kiss lipsticks because I have dry lips and theyre a moisturizing matte. She was very patient and chill about me trying out different shades...I probably tried 6 and went back and forth on a couple, but I felt ZERO pressure to hurry up and buy something. The saleswoman even weighed in on which shades looked best on me, and I could tell she was being sincere. She was also dilligent about cleaning the testers with alcohol before every use to keep them sanitary.I loved the feel of my new Powder Kiss lipstick so much (it feels like silk PJs on your mouth, tastes like powdered sugar, moisturizes, and lasts for HOURS) that I returned the very next day to buy another one. I had a different saleswoman help me and she was just as pleasant and helpful as the first one. Id also like to add that both young ladies had fabulous makeup and I wouldnt hesitate to ask for advice on color, application, etc.After I told my BFF about the new Powder Kiss lippies, she said she wanted to go here with me to shop for herself. She loves MAC products just as much as I do! Ill definitely be back!

Bad service all around. The saleswoman was rude from the start. Rolled her eyes, didnt greet us, and was what felt like rushing us out of the store when they didnt even close for another 20 mins.

I went there and waited 30 min to find out the person working was on a lunch break for another hour. No one could match my foundation. Change your store hours if you wont have someone working.

I wasnt wearing makeup so the sales ladies talked to me like I was an idiot, they were incredibly rude, and acted like they were in a rush to be somewhere.

Long wait time for some one to appear for help...

Always wait 15-20 minutes for someone to come to the counter
