Its been a while since Ive been to this location. I mean years when they were strictly Office Max. I dont remember the reason but I know I came to the conclusion at that time that I did not like Office Max so Office depot on Whitney Way has always been my go to.On this particular day there was something that I needed and I was at work and because and because I am almost right behind tright behind this location of office Max I chose to go there rather than office depot on Whitney way. And yes I know they are the same company now. After I checked out I was asked if I wanted a receipt email to me which I did. I got back to work about an hour later I looked for the receipt and it was not in my email. So I called and asked if they could email they could email me another one and they said they could not email it to me for some odd reason. So then I asked them if they could fax it and they said they could but for a fee. I think thats absolutely ridiculous especially in this day and age when we do depend so much electronics and it was not my fault that the receipt did not come. I know the email address was correct because I checked it a couple of times Before I submitted it.This left me with a very very bad taste in my mouth and also left me with rhe conclusion that this particular location would rather inconvenience me as a customer than then to go out of their way (if you even want to call it that) by either emailing me the receipt as I initially asked for or just fax it to me. That was absolutely ridiculous and I will never set foot in that location again. I will go to the East Side if I have to, if theres something that the Whitney Way store does not have; I will go to the East Side I will go to Janesville I will go anywhere else but that location!
Stopped in to get two large size copies tonight. No one behind the counter. Only saw one employee in the store who I held the door for because he was carrying a few reams of paper to a customers car.I went back over to the copy center and an employee did appear from the back. Before I could explain what I needed she abruptly told me that I could do the large copy self service. My original actually measures 8.5 by 25. Which, according to the employ apparently qualified for a self service 11 x 17. Really not sure how the employee can do accurate visual measuring? The copy that I needed was a copy of my stained glass pattern. I have been doing stained glass for about 20 years and I’m pretty sure that I know how to measure accurately.When I asked her if she could do 2 copies for me on the large copier suddenly I was told that there were 6 jobs ahead of me?I have been coming into the store near West Town as needed for the past 20 years to get copies of my patterns done at a moments notice and have always been able to get our copies. Others have been doing this as well. No more, I’m done.I drove to another store because I needed these copies tonight. They were happy to accommodate and will be getting all of our future business.
I have come here twice for help with printing signs and programs. Both employees Ive encountered (Ryan and another nice gentlemen) have been very helpful and given me such quick service! 😀

As soon as I entered, I was helped by the 3 gentlemen working in the store - showing me the isle I needed & assisting promptly with checkout by Tenzin who was patient, polite & efficient
I made two recent trips here. The first time I came in to use the self service printing, only to find out the credit card attachment wasnt working, meaning the self service was out of order. I stood by the machine waiting for a staff member to be available (they were helping another customer), they clearly saw me by the machine but didnt say anything about why it wasnt working. When I went and stood in line at the counter it was several more minutes - the only person behind the counter was trying to help a line of now 4-5 people and kept getting calls on her radio asking her to go help out elsewhere. When I finally got to the counter and asked about the printing I was told oh yeah sometimes it does that - no signs, no explanation, and no alternatives offered. She did suggest cash, however I had a large job and didnt have enough on me, and because it would have required her to assist me since the self serve want working and the line was now so long, that was a no-go. I left.I ended up placing my order online a few days later, early in the day, and was told my order would be ready by 7pm that night, and that I world get a phone call when I could pick it up. No call. I went in the next morning and spent about five minutes waiting for a staff member to be available to give me my prints. When I asked why it wasnt ready the night before they had no idea what I was talking about, but said theyd look into it. No apologies, no follow up. The quality of the prints was excellent, but the customer service is non-existent, so avoid this place if at all possible.
We ordered a ink cartridge they were out so we did the save a sale to have it delivered to a apartment building. They sent a messaged claiming they left it in the mail room. IT IS A APARTMENT BUILDING NO MAIL ROOM we called about it and got nothing but disrespect from the employee working so we called the 800 number and got nothing but attitude from them so we called the store again spoke to the manager this time and got nothing but more disrespect. This place is a joke and if I could it would get a negative 6 stars. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! They are all con artists who would rather steal your money for one transaction instead of repeated business. Dont shop at office depot go to staples theyre better and more professional. I am talking with my lawyer and getting my money back that way. AGAIN OFFICE DEPOT IS A POS COMPANY FULL OF THIEVES

We had a wonderful experience working with Lori to print a custom designed Madison pamphlet we used in our wedding gift bags. She took the time to make sure they printed exactly how we wanted. Her level of customer service is something everyone should strive for. We cant thank her enough & the end product was perfect!

I have to reluctantly echo what others have said about this generally being a miserable place to shop. There are a couple outstanding, knowledgeable and friendly staff people, including one of the managers. But most of those working there including one of the managers, have customer service as their last priority, and unfortunately dont seem to know what they are doing. Whose fault is that? I guess a lack of proper training and selection of staff who actually like interacting with and helping customers. I have wasted much too much time because of staff not knowing what they are doing. Recently, what should have been a simple return turned into an aggravating and lengthy experience. I was able to return the same item within two minutes at another Office Depot. I would like to support the store, and the people who work there. But that would take some serious training and attitude reorientation. If you are lucky, though you will be treated well...Look for someone with a smile and eagerness to help... As I said there are such people at the store.
Empty and morgue-like quiet with employees putting out product and sometimes needing a little reminder that I was at the checkout counter...but once with me wherever I was in the store they were super helpful. 9:45am on Monday is actually a really good time to shop there. Lots of stock and, at that hour, well displayed.
Ryan recovered all my files at a very reasonable price from an external hard drive that suddenly indicated it needed to be formatted. I am so grateful!!
I had a defective ink cartridge I had bought there. When I went to exchange it for a good one I was told they couldnt because it was opened. When I asked how I would know it was defective if I didnt open it he just said it was store policy. So I had to buy another one, and hope it will work. I paid over $100 to replace a black ink cartridge. NEVER going back!
My elderly mother went in to the store to return ink that wasnt working no matter what she did she had spent 80 dollars on the ink when she brought it back the employee looked up the expectation dates on the ink saying they didnt match the emloyee proceeded to tell my mom that this could be considered fraudulent my mom again said she had purchased all the ink there too which the employee said Ill let it slide this time. My mom was very shakin by this experience and says she will not be returning!!
My friends and I have far much to say about this location. We were very VERY disappointed in their customer service. We had gone to go get a desk that was on sale and kindly asked someone that was at the front to help us. It was very sad that no one approached us and asked if we needed help nor did we get a greeting. The employee went back to go look for the desk and came back and said that they only had 2 out of the 3 floor pieces in stock and wed have to order the third piece. Fine. We asked if we could take the floor model instead. They told us it would cost MORE to allow us to buy it - even though there was LITERALLY an inch of dust on the desk and scratches. K...so we waited for someone to take the dolly with our heavy glass desks on it, but the employees that had helped us left us!!! We then took the dolly to the front and the cashier was like who allowed you to push that and we were like the employees that had tried to help us left us. And the cashier was like well thats not okay. Duh its not, so we had him get us help to our car and the employee that helped put the desk in our car whipped out his phone in front of us while we waited for the car (I think paige was the name). How rude can an employee be to a customer? If you are that miserable even at work, good luck in life.
I would recommend you guys to visit this place: I just bought my laptop there during the Black Friday, it is a Hp one with i5+15+8GB+1TB with only $350, while in the Best Buy near by, you need to pay at least $450 for a laptop with just i3 core 4GB and 500GB harddisk. I just feel confused why there is such a big difference
I went in to print 6 colored copies and instead of directing me to the cheaper, self service option, the print desk charged me $9.75!! Why didnt they tell me about the self service option? Almost $10 for 6 pieces of paper, rip off!
Very friendly and helpful staff! Always a killer deal with my office max business retail connect card. I am a pure romance consultant and office max is one of my favorite business partners in crime!
Come here if you dont see something computer supply related that you cant find at Best Buy. Ive never seen more than a dozen people shopping here at a time. They have some better selection on office items that you cant find at other stores.
Do not ever buy furniture from Office Max. I ordered a desk from this store and it is two months later, and I still have no desk. The store manager was not able to find out if my desk had even been ordered. The 800# on the receipt did not offer any better assistance. They referred me back to the store. I will never buy anything from Office Max again.
Very nice employees, but get your fax sent from your library, its crazy expensive here.

Bit run down. The employees are either completely uninterested in helping you and impossible to find when you need something, or when you just want to browse, you get asked every 10 seconds if you need any help.It could definitely use some renovations.

Took 3 days to get our big sign print order, and the staff lost our order twice. They gave us a 65 pecent discount which helped, but I am always picky about office, printing, and shipping services because they already there for people on one business schedule.
Tried to return an item from an online order. Cashier had no clue how to do it. Manager suggested returning without receipt, required my ID and wanted to give me store credit. They had the receipt right in front of them. Both basically told me to return it online. Disappointing.
Service was adequate, stood at the Service Counter and made eye contact with an employee in the back of the store, who just looked back blankly. Then a checkout clerk asked if I had a return, which I did. She let me know I could do that at the checkout. Employees were neither friendly nor unfriendly. The office supplies I was looking for were available. Nothing special, not horrible either.

Im the kind of person who dont jump into conclusion about anything. But it seen like when you are Asian you dont get any service there. Feels like an all white shopping only. If you are not white, good luck finding someone there to assist you. Come on were in wisconsin not like some swamp in the south somewhere. Office depot, I will take my money somewhere else. I will not low my standards to your level. Which is the dirt.
