Really cute…but my white mocha was way to sweet (I couldn’t even drink it). The black coffee was good though!

The coffee here is excellent I think they grind the beans fresh per cup. However, the bagel sandwiches dont have much substance. They dont give you much egg. The bagels they use are delicious. The staff is a bit standoffish and have a tip jar but wont run your food?! Not sure why they need a tip? TIPS=To Insure Prompt Service fyi.

Super helpful staff, great customer service, great shaken tea drink for the summer, well lit, music is great for the mood (but not too loud), super fast on their drinks, and just a very comfortable feel.The only things missing are a few plush chairs to sit and read in. They do have a long counter and bar stools along the window that Ive seen many today use as a reading area, but every coffeehouse this size should definitely have a reading/studying nook.😉

Pretty good coffee, I got the special, it was like a coconut mocha, cold brew. It was too rich for me. This is a busy place, so be patient. I would reccommend this place if you like coffee & sandwichs.

Really enjoyed my coffee and sandwich here. There were 3 nice looking coffee shops in Madison and I picked this one because it had a cooler looking sign (Ive always enjoyed judging books by their cover).Inside its quite nice, warm, clean and inviting. The staff was friendly, helpful and fast. Coffee (dark roast) was good though the staff didnt really know much about the coffees. Id say its a more food first kind of coffee place. No 3rd wave here.I also got a breakfast sandwich that was very good and they graciously let me substitute a pretzel bun/bagel. Highly recommend this as the bun has a nice crispness on the outside which pairs well with the soft filling.Great place to sit and watch people on the street at the bar or do work as I saw multiple people doing. They even had a more casual sitting area with a few comfy chairs and people chatting away.

Nice little quaint coffee house in Madison Indiana. There was lots of comfy seating as well as large tables to work. Coffee as well as the coffee cake was good and the staff were friendly as well as accommodating.

I had the only sandwich on the menu that didnt have lettuce on it. I think it was grilled turkey with pimento cheese? That sandwichwas awesome! Idk what the wife had but she liked it too. We ordered our food and then just kinda stood there awkwardly and waited on it while a couple employees carried boxes in around us. There really wasnt an order here or pickup here sign, and no one ever said theyd bring our food out to us, so we just waited. The food was good, we were just a little confused about the process.

Came to the red roaster while staying in Madison. I loved the decor. I’m not coffee buff, so I can’t remark on it other than it was good but a little bitter for me. The breakfast sandwich was healthy and light, yet filling. The service was probably the best part!

This coffee shops beverages put all others to shame! My favorite is the blended chocolate chip (with extra chips) and the hit white chocolate mocha. I do miss the cinnamon scones though!

Great espresso! Took a while to get my drink, but I guess it was Sunday morning... This place was hopping, seems like a lot of people meet there every Sunday. This was our first time in Madison and we met relatives of a friend of ours - perfect meeting place!!! Their baked goods look just like at Starbucks, in fact the place seems to be modeled after a Starbucks at least the counter and menu.

Everything is good, just very slow. My muffin vam to me well before my burrito plus I did not get my drink until 10-15 min after I finished eating my food. It would be nice to have the drinks and food served together. Need better coordination with the food and drinks.

I am very disappointed. I had to wait almost 30 minutes for one cup of coffee. Local people walked in after me and were getting food and drinks. So if youre visiting Madison just be mindful. I went to ask barista and hes like yeah its next and when I finally got coffee the barista mumbled something under his breathe. I suggest that you treat your guests to this town with more respect Mr. Barista because thats a big part of your business.

The Red Roaster is a wonderful coffee shop. The staff is great and work hard to get to know you is you become a regular. They make great coffee and the barristas are quite knowledgeable. The rest of the menu is also quite good.

Very nice, got an everything bagel with cream cheese and a strawberry smoothie. The food came out really fast and was delicious! Employees are very kind, helpful, and pleasant.

The coffee is good. Maybe not the best Ive had but good. The mint julep green tea is amazing. My wife loves the Frappuccinos. I cant get enough of their green tea. My kids enjoyed the mint julep green tea too. Price is fair too. Keep it up yall.

My daughter and I stopped in today after a archery shoot. She got a small carmel ice coffee, she loved it! I got a large dark roast coffee, it was very good. We split a cinnamon roll that they warmed up, and that made the whole trip. Under $10 very happy

My husband and I had breakfast. My bagel sandwich was fine. His breakfast burrito was good. The salsa it came with was really good! Unfortunately, our coffee was burnt. And it was very noisy. Children screaming and running around. I don’t think we will go back.

Ahhh! The important things in life, good coffee. The Red Roaster sits on the corner of Small Town and Main St. in Madison IN. and looks and feels like a coffee house should. The staff are warm and friendly, and eager to brew you a perfect cup of morning go-juice.

My girlfriend and I were in town for a wedding and grabbing breakfast on our way out of town. We got a couple breakfast sandwiches, a hot chocolate, and a latte. Everything was really yummy - the food was fresh, the coffee was roasted well, the hot chocolate was super chocolatey and super delicious! The decor and atmosphere were really relaxing but still had a were having a great day! energy. Any time Im back in Madison, Ill be dropping in for a coffee and a quick bite!

Today, I opted to try their Coffee Cake. They put it in their microwave (to my great surprise) to warm it up and forgot it until Hubby was finished with his coffee and asked about it. We ended up taking it to go and eating it after dinner. I only ate one bite. I usually really like coffee cake, but I did not like it at all. Hubby finished it off.

My wife and I stopped in while checking out downtown Madison. We both tried their hazelnut cappuccino. It was pretty good on a cool day. They offer cookies, sconces and some sandwiches. Friendly staff, they have indoor and outdoor seating available. Nice local shop.

Enter this hip coffee bar and perch on barrel stave stools along the plate glass windows that look out on Madisons historical main street with all its unique, nifty shops, or melt into the upholstered arm chairs or bring a group of friends and cozy around the rough-hewn tall-top in the in the center of the shop -- whichever -- youll want to spend quality time at the Red Roaster.

Amazing coffee and calm place. Its at the heart of Madison just a street beside the lake. A perfect place in winter and if you are having for a good place this is the place to be. Run by youngsters, it gives you the trendy look with a touchy Madisons antinqy goodness. Its my go to place when Im in downtown. Oh yeah.. do not forget to try the rolls and cakes. They are damn yummy 😋

Great Coffee & Great Atmosphere

My experience can be summed up with great interior design, good atmosphere... mediocre food. My fiancé and I got a coffee, a chai, and a blueberry muffin. I think if your pastries were fresh they wouldn’t be refrigerated or need microwaved. The drinks didn’t meet our expectations either. I hope things will be better next time.

Hands down best coffee place in town! Their drinks are all amazing. Their breakfast and lunch sandwich are delicious. The workers are always enthusiastic, fast, and helpful. It only took me coming in daily for 3 or 4 days for them all to know my order by heart and out to me faster than ever. Alot of the small business in Madison get over looked and end up going under however this place is extraordinary and i dont see it going anywhere anytime soon! Anyone who loves coffee I let them know this is absolute best place to go. Prices and reasonable and service is exceptional! Love this place!

Greeted with a warm and friendly smile as the door opened and we entered the small cafe. No line. Ordered my peppermint hot chocolate and a like grilled cheese sandwich. Service and knowledged on their products. The gentlemen delivered the hot chocolate quick and orderly, reassuring me of the correct drink when I couldnt quite make out what he said. Then before leaving my sandwich was made fresh and hot. The smoke had a unquie taste to it. To much cheese for my liking because of my cheese protein issue but over all it was delicious

Great little coffee shop with Wi-Fi and nice pastries, good quiche, scones and soups. The people are friendly and willing to make suggestions if you need help deciding. The view is of Madisons historic Main Street and it is located in a very nicely renovated historic building. It is on the same block as many shops including a fantastic resale designer furniture and home decor shop named Wow! What A Find that rivals any store in the big city at a fraction of the cost. They also sell fine antiques and found objects. Across the street is a very chic ladies boutique named Blush and it too is sophisticated and up to date in a great restored building. For those who like coffee and chocolates go to Cocoa Safari Chocolates for a fine selection of homemade treats! All an all the coffee shop and town make you feel at home and is a great destination. Very friendly staff complete the picture for a good break mid-way through shopping.

I have lived in madison a little over a year and just recently tried this place out. I have to say Im very happy with the quality and price of drinks and food. Their blended drinks are amazing as well as warm blueberry muffins . I will definitely be going back. Maybe even become a regular !
