Clean Nice Grocery Store in the middle of the isthmus. Employee are always so friendly! Produce also won’t disappoint.
The food is good, as good as any popular suburban food store. Its the staff and I presume owner thats creepy. Example of low brow working way to hard, to at least meet mainstream industry standards. They think they have a palace and its really only just as good.
Great local grocery store. Excellent selection of your all around basics and then they also have a lot of healthy and organic foods including a very good selection of plant based items like beyond meat. Super nice staff...all around great place to get all your favorite goodies. Love you guys!!!
Wow. The absolute best grocery store I’ve ever been In. I don’t get excited about food or shopping -but damn. They are so helpful and the deli food was amazing. Amazing prices.
Been coming here for more than a year. Amazing produce that is very high quality and always fresh, the guys at the meat counter are the absolute best and super helpful. Employees have always been extremely helpful and kind, finding items for me and navigating the store.Prices are a bit higher than other places and the layout of the aisles are not intuitive but I am used to it at this point. Beer selection is 90% Hazy IPAs which gets old.Overall great store
Great service with everyone there. The delivery area excellent customer service..
I love festival foods I go there every day im an ice cruncher and they have the best ice
Great selection. Fresh food. Great service. Prices are a little high
Best place in town for groceries and prepared food! Competitive prices and friendly staff!!
Best I could ask for in downtown Madison. Prices are comparable to Hy-Vee which clearly occupies a less expensive space. Its missing many things but they fit in what they can.
Super clean, very pleasant place to be. I dont write reviews for grocery stores and here I am. Even the parking structure is clean.
Bought egg salad yesterday from Festival Foods 810 E Washington Ave., Madison. It was alright, but a little added chopped celery for crunch would have been a nice gesture. Short on flavor. And did someone chop up the hard-boiled eggs with a blunt instrument? Try a food processor.
We ordered for pickup from Festival on East Washington in Madison. Ordering was so, so easy online - just be a little patient with the search feature and try a different search if not getting results you want (for example try coffee ground if just coffee is giving too many non-relevant results). The shoppers are great and best buy codes were well into future instead of a day or two later. Excellent quality and selection of merchandise. Everything was ready on time, and they also did the extra work to quickly combined two orders for us so that we didnt have to come back. We even got a birthday cake - just add candles : )Thank you for the very safe no-contact pickup service during this awful covid pandemic.
Management of the meat departmentVery nice AND made shure I got bestPrice made the sale
Great grocery store, Ive been shopping at Festival Foods since I was young at my hometown location. Prices can be a bit inflated, but thats anywhere downtown.BEST MEAT COUNTER OF ANY MAJOR GROCERY CHAIN.
Went there for the 1st time. It was clean and easy to find stuff but they definitely didnt have everything I was looking for. A lil expensive too. Easy self check out.
Props to these guys. I bought a little fillet from the meat case and it went bad in under 48 hours. Ive worked in meat for 6ish years now and I know sometimes that just happens. Could be a variety of issues they cant control or arent aware of hence informing them of it. I wasnt overly upset or anything but they still sent me a gift card that more than covered the cost rather quickly. Kudos to them.
Never too crowded to be uncomfortable. Plenty of workers to assist. Good variety of products. For example there are three or four brands of hummus available. Plenty of parking. Bakery and deli are very good quality. Store is always very clean.
I didnt do much shopping. I just ran in for some N/A beer. They had a little selection besides the one or two brands you find at most grocery stores. However they werent cold so I waited until the next day to enjoy.
Good customer service great selection and reasonable prices!
I live about a block away, so I come to festival at least once a week. The staff there is always super helpful. Their vegan section is better than most other grocery stores in madison, which is saying something. Also, I lost my wallet their and they kept it for me, so thank you staff!!
I was very happy with Kelly. She walked with me to find what I was looking for.I am 78 and have a hard time of getting around. So happy to have had Kelly help me. I will return for sure. My 1st time in your store.
Everything looked so fresh!! Very friendly
Was easy. Sale items were in a viable area. With coupons we saved $75. After coupons bill was $164. So overall a good experience.
Great grocery store in downtown Madison. Clean, clean, clean! Thats important these days. Excellent produce. Friendly staff. I like the early morning hours too. Prices are a bit higher than some other stores, but to me its worth it. I drive past W......s to go shop there. Like I said clean. My health is important to me.
Love this store, the pickup service, the employees, the options.
Festival Foods was the perfect grocery store addition to downtown. They have a large selection of anything you can think of and fair prices. We also tend to find some obscure hard to find items which is an added bonus. The store is always impeccably clean and the staff is wonderful.
The deli is exquisite!
We dont usually go to Festival but they had some great deals on items we needed for Christmas eve and Christmas dinner. Always clean and they were not too busy. We checked out in the liquor department not knowing we could with the beer purchase. Our checkout person who i believe was linda. She was very helpful with our purchase and super nice.
Easy to find, easy parking, staff was pretty friendly. Great experience.
Everything was great, except for not a huge selection of organic produce.
I missed him and had to get a ride.
This is a generally quite good regional store chain (maybe only in Wisconsin?) that does a really good job of providing a great selection of food, and non-food items, people seek in large grocery stores. They also have a really good liquor department, well stocked with a great selection of beers, wines, and spirits. Staff are consistently knowledgeable, polite, and friendly - just like the typical native Wisconsinite! I think theyre also doing a good job enabling customers to sanitize shopping carts before entering the store. But there are always problems with customers who either dont get it, or just dont want to cooperate, or frankly, are just a bit dumb. Today, I saw too many people shopping who were not wearing masks. One was a man who kept handling many fruits before deciding which lime, or lemon, or apple he wanted. I felt I had to ask him to stop. I told him Youre not wearing a mask, youre not wearing gloves, and other people dont want to buy fruit that youve had your hands all over, since we dont know the last time you washed them. He gave me a weird look, and I followed with Shop with your eyes, not your hands, please. I just feel that the time has come where all grocery stores must require all shoppers to wear masks. If you dont want to wear a mask, sorry, dont come shopping for groceries here; we care too much for our customers safety - that should be the way of things.
The produce is beautiful, their pre-made foods are delicious, this location is tiny in comparison to others and Ive scraped my car a few times in the tiny parking lot. I dont always find what Im looking for but if Im looking lost an employee will always ask if I need help. Im so grateful for a grocery store in the near east side!
Selection is smaller than other Festival stores but the place is always clean and the employees are nice and helpful.
They have grass that my kitty loves. The staff is most helpful with assisting me find what I need. Great sale prices. The deli has good prepared dinners at reasonable prices.
Beautiful grocery store! Clean and inviting.
Beautiful store, friendly helpful staaf, too!
Froendly staff. Good selection.
I have a few respectable tattoos on my arms and neck, whether that was cause or not, I felt very uncomfortable in this store. Every isle I turned down as I searched for my product I seen an employee observing me and at one time was even very obviously followed by one. I found my product, paid and left. I will not be returning to this location because of this border line profiling / harassment.
Great, friendly, helpful staff! Real heros during this pandemic as well as before and are still currently rocking it.
Love this pick n save the best. Its genius to have the organic food/milk in the front of the store! Makes it the best in the city!
They are coming up with some really awesome sales leading up to the holidays! It is helping with the planning so much. Im very happy.
Nice big aisles and way less crowded than Hyvee or Woodman. Great selection and prices in the liquor store too!
Great picnic chicken at the deli. Friendly professional courteous staff.
This store made me feel comfortable to shop. Kudos to the worker wiping the handles to the refrigerator doors.
Usually I would give a great review for this location, but today was not a normal day. Multiple customers were allowed to shop today without face masks. None of the employees enforced the mask mandate and the maskless customers even interacted with multiple employees. This isnt the safe grocery store I thought it was.
A little pricey but its the best grocery store downtown!
Great Festival location with good parking and great service
Beautiful fruit and vegetable selection!
You dont carry anymore the best and more local coffee in Madison?. Cafe Social owners told me that it was a manager personal decision without any consideration even if sales were very good. Not a good decision
Have you tried Festivals fried chicken? You should. It is great. 5 stars. Same goes for their Sunday ham. Served warm, delicious. The store is neat and organized. Not cluttered like some other grocery stores. Produce is fresh. Thumbs up on their meats too.
They seem to have a good selection of coffee on sale all the time. The checkout experience has always been great.
Great place, they have everything. Everything is organized too.
Good selection, helpful staff
Good prices, wide variety, clean and well lit. Very helpful workers. Excellent gluten free selections
Probably the worst organized store i have been to. Unfortunately also very pricey but in a great location.Deli is great though!
Love this grocery store...deli is my favorite!
Clean, friendly staff, variety good location.
A little hard to find the entrance to the parking ramp, at night its easy to pass by. But once inside its brightly lit, has well organized aisles and seems so far as I found to habe fairly decent prices.
Clean store with all my major hits. Fastest bulk water machine, Sassy Cow milk, my favorite hot chocolate and peanut butters. Doesnt have a great selection of organic cereal.
Place is clean and staff is friendly. Very expensive. But you pay for what you get!
Great grocery, cant imagine life without festival since they opened! Staff is helpful and friendly. Store is generally very clean! Sometimes I feel like I love here because I visit so much! Only downside is parking lot can be nuts at times but you can always find a parking stall.I would highly advise a visit to Owen in the liquor department. He is super knowledgeable and can point you in any direction for a drink.
Very nice quality and convenient. Staff is extremely helpful and pleasant.
I like Festival Foods. They have some really great deals on items with the coupons. I usually shop several grocery stores to take advantage of the sales, and adding them to the mix definitely helps my budget. Never had a problem with any of the staff, usually very friendly. Lasagna Monday works great for me, just steam some veggies and microwave the lasagna and dinner is ready in a snap (who wants to cook on a Monday night?). A definite asset to have near downtown Madison!
Clean, friendly staff, good selection of produce and deli
Great place to shop but it is very expensive. They also have where you can order your grocery, and they will pick it out for you, but you just have to come and pick it up. Oh I forgot they also open a store in Verona that is a little close to me. Cant wait to visit it. I hope in the future they will start delivering.
High quality and friendly 👍
The workers are the nicest and most helpful at any store that Ive EVER been to! Products, especially the produce, are much higher quality too! Also, the store is kept impressively clean! Which has to be impossible at a grocery store!
Walking distance from where I am currently living for my diet intake I have to follow.
I just found out that they are not good supporters of local business. Bad management
This is the best Festival ever. Nice layout, very clean, friendly helpful people.
Great selection and friendly staff!
The assistant manager seems lazy. Greg, the old manager, was much better at helping pick out quality foods.
I shop here regularly. The staff is always friendly and they have a great selection. However, in the past couple of weeks we have noticed a disturbing trend. Two weeks ago we picked up a 12 pack of soda and one of the sodas was missing. Today we bought a bag of chocolates and didnt notice it had been opened until we got home. We ended up throwing the rest of the chocolates away.I would recommend checking your packaged goods to make sure they have not been tampered with. We have never had this problem before but will be keeping a much closer eye on our purchases from now on.
Decided to check this grocery store out and I was very happy. The prices are very reasonable (compared to woodmans), staff is very friendly. Place feels very clean and very organized. I will be coming to Festival for my groceries from here on out. Very satisfied with my experience here! Highly recommend. Also a very easy drive from Middleton!
I have fallen in love with this grocery store. The staff here is amazing, friendly, and super helpful. They will help you with any questions you might have. The store itself is huge for being in downtown Madison. It has easy to access under ground parking. They make all kinds of goodies here in the bakery and deli. And offer a great selection of bulk foods. I was also impressed with all the different product brands they carry. Its a great downtown grocery store!
Get the sushi its amazing
Great staff and grocery selection a little pricy, but the quality of groceries are excellent 👌
For me it is the most varied place in downtown Madison Wisconsin. They are reasonable prices and the offers on some of their products can be very attractive. Prices change every week.
Awesome bakery, new, clean, not inexpensive, and covered parking.
Love how they used reclaimed trees in their store.
Great coupon items.
I bought various items of produce today. First, the bing cherries were fresh, in good shape, and tasty. Second, I bought a package of grape tomatoes and they looked good in the store. I did not open the package to inspect each individual tomato, but I did turn it upside down and examined it as best I could. However, when I got it home, I found many brown and/or slightly rotten ones that were hidden among the good ones. Lastly, I bought 3.41 lbs of organic bananas and at least 2 (I havent peeled all of them yet) were half rotten, but were still partly green on the outside. It was very weird and disappointing.EDIT: I was contacted directly by Festival Foods for more specific information about my issue. They were very receptive and apologetic. They offered to send me a $25 gift card to make up for my troubles. Great customer service, so Ive changed my review to 4 stars.
Nice store. Amazing deli options.
Convenient grocery store on East Wash with reasonable prices. Offers a wide variety of items and staff are very helpful and friendly. Can be a bit tricky to get to during heavy traffic, but that is not due to the store.
I love this place he had a fantastic Dilly just about anything you could ever imagine including sushi damn good potato salad I mean its just I like the place they got a pretty good Bakery section also. Grace quick Smorgasbord type lunch area and you can go up into a balcony area and Overlook the store at Overlook the street and eat your meal really a pleasant Place good parking secured in a ramp couldnt ask for more I wish we had one on the far east side
Great grocery store. Organization of things is a little odd though.
Fresh as fresh can be
This is a great full service grocery store, with some great and unique features and services. The free parking is all covered, sheltering one from the elements. Upon entry, there seems to be a greeter most of the time. The bakery, meat departments are very large, and very well stocked. There is also a large cheese counter that is very well stocked. This my favorite grocery store in Madison. Try it!
Festival usually has a wide variety of options at multiple price points. They have ample parking, too.
I like all the varieties of prepared food, everything looks fresh and appetizing. The items Ive purchased have been very good. Its a lot better than fast food junk but just as fast with homemade taste. Keep up the great work!
Creamy wild rice The Best Hearty
Awesome place. They have a place there to keep ur dog also. That’s thoughtful. Bakery is very good.
