I called this place Tuesday to get a quote on replacing the two transmission cooler line on my 2004 GMC Yukon XL SLT. The guy I spoke with told me it would be between 600 to 800 dollars. I told him that’s what it cost to have a whole transmission put in. He then went on and on about how long he has been doing this type of work and trying to justify why the cost was so much. I told him thanks, but no thanks. I then called Pep Boys to get the same quote. They told me it would only be 238 dollars and that’s for parts and labor. Long story short, this place is a JOKE! But that was my fault for trying to support a local business.

Jason was super helpful and nice from the first interaction. I had to have my car towed to the shop and the tow truck company that works with them was great too. He installed an air filter no charge because of the last place I had it serviced forgetting to put a new one in all together... Jason is a man of his word and you won’t regret bringing your vehicle to him.

I highly recommend Madison Automotive. They are less expensive than a dealership yet very qualified. Ive used them many times and recommend to them to friends. They arent the cheapest repair shop and normally people arent usually satisfied with the cheapest options in life.Youll get good honest work from Jason and his team.

I have been taking all of my familys vehicles here for 10 years. They are fair, honest, and will help you make difficult decisions as if your vehicles were their own. They are good with insurance work as well. When they cannot do something they recommend other vendors and coordinate with them if need be.

It took them 8.5 hours to install 2 mufflers on my car and charged $400. Muffler welding is a standard job any shop should be able to do in less than 2 hours. In fact the same muffler on the same car was installed a month before by a different shop in 1.5 hours for $140.They claimed the angles made it tricky and had to make a bracket. That is part of the job of any aftermarket muffler weld. The simple fact was they are not equipped to do that kind of job. I brought it in a week before for them to look at it, and said they could do it.The day of installation 5 hours in, I find out they dont have a pipe bender and dont have standard exhaust piping. I swear I wanted to take my car and leave, but mufflers were already chopped off and their frankenstein welding job was done on one side. The guy actually doing the welding told me it would have been a lot easier if they had a pipe bender, go figure.Throughout the entire process, Jason kept saying it would have been impossible for any shop to do that job in less than 8 hours. Clearly I know others who have done it and told him, but he just kept saying it would be impossible. Simple Google search shows this is a 2hr max job.I feel it was a ripoff but really it was just their incompetence and ill-equipped shop. Should have just said they cant do it and move on.

I had my explorer in this shop for front wheel bearing every six months. The work was covered under warranty because of poor workmanship. I got tired of going back and took it to NTB and 4 hours laters it was repaired and never had another problem.

I dropped a truck off expecting a 3-4 day turn around, mainly because of a parts delay, and maybe a half day to a full for labor. Steve was able to locate all my parts and got All the work completed in under 6 hours. Same Day!!! I was very surprised to get the call for pick up to say the least. Ive used them before and their quality of work has been very consistent. I will bring any of my mechanical needs to them for now on for sure.

These guys are top of the line. They did everything they said they would do and more, some that they would not charge for. Steve has stood behind the work without question. I havent found any shop that has more knowledgeable mechanics and that includes Dealer shops.I dont mind paying for work done right and by people that stand behind their word. Steve found a very unsafe condition on my truck and corrected it without charge until I could bring it back for other work it needed. Good people and trustworthy!
