Latte was just warmed milk and try to find a coffee in it:)) Pastries look fine(did not buy), but this is not stop for a coffee definitely. Just pay more attention to drinks, please.
Unpretentious, quiet, bright cafe and bakery. Great service in a very clean environment. Baked goods were fresh, meticulously displayed, and delicious, albeit a little too crispy for my taste. My cafe mocha was perfect the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate, served at a manageable temperature. A place to relax and chat with friends or for solitude.
As good as all the other reviews say. The pistachio croissant was shatteringly crisp, perfectly laminated, and filled with warm, gooey pistachios. Like your favorite baklava married your favorite croissant.
Oh my God. I dont usually review places but I loved this place so much. I got the 8 oz. white chocolate mocha and it came with a fern drawn in it. It was some of the best coffee Ive ever had. I also got a BLT sandwich that was a little steep in price but delicious nonetheless. There isnt Wi-Fi but maybe I missed it... The atmosphere is nice with few people and music that doesnt blare in your ears; loud enough to fill the silence without forcing you to shout.
Very well cleaned and managed social distancing. The pastries are fabulous! We took the family of 6 to pick up breakfast and had a few different savory and sweet croissants and scones and cookies. Our favorites were the chive and cheddar scone and the salmon croissant. The chocolate chip cookies were good, but were a tad bit overdone that morning. I wouldnt recommend the drinks. The vanilla drink just tasted like warm milk with vanilla extract. The hot chocolate tasted like frothy Hersheys syrup.
They had an amazing Lemon Croissant that I’m dying to have again!
We got green milk tea, Okinawa milk tea, and hot chocolate. They were all good, and they were sensible enough to ask us if they should make the hot chocolate not as hot for our toddler. Very friendly, nice and neat modern interior, and good drinks. Highly recommended
Fabulous bakery with a great selection of a variety of delicious treats!! We will definitely be coming back often!
Great atmosphere! My wife amd I went here on a date this morning and had a great time. It would be a great place to go with girlfriends or daughters. The baked goods are very affordable, and delicious. If I could give 6 stars, I would. They also have boba tea.The only negative I can say is that the music didnt really fit the atmosphere. They played 3 Doors Down, Green Day, Trapt, etc. It was sorta fun and throwback, though, so I didnt mind haha. My wife said it was a plus!
Seems surprising for the location, but straight up of the best croissants in the world, definitely the best we’ve had in Seattle. The pistachio croissant is an amazing treat as well, easy to share.
Very cozy cafe and the place is super clean. I had breakfast with friends here and the food is delicious! I am also happy to find out Rila bakery is offering assortment pastries box and free delivery in Lynnwood Edmonds area with purchase of $35. Their croissant has perfect crust and taste. What a delicious treat!
Super friendly staff. The items they make are awesome. They taste fresh and are very flavorful. The items they bake rotate a little so it is always wise to go in frequently to see what new items they have for that day.
Wow!!! Finally a real croissant that tastes like real butter and reminds me of traveling to France! Love these guys!
Love, love, LOVE this place. I’m pretty sure they know my face pretty well by now because I come here with my family every weekend to every other weekend, as well as by myself on some week days. I just can’t help myself! A clean environment (minus the foggy windows) with delightful staff, delicious coffee/tea and milk tea beverages, delicious sandwiches, and delicious pastries all around. And always fresh! I don’t think I’ve tried a single thing there that I haven’t liked. My only complaint is that I’d love for them to make fruit tarts but I’ve yet to see any be done. They’re my absolute favorite!
Fantastic baked goods. Wide variety of flavors, both sweet and savory. The coffee runs a little sweeter than other places, but has great flavor! I recommend trying a few different options, especially their specialty drinks.
Always delicious! Birthday cakes, pastries, donuts, breads, and more.
Great local coffee shop. Cant wait till dine-in is ok again.
So refreshing to see some new digs in Edmonds that dont remind me of the 00s. The food, the decor, the staff, and the service are all a great experience at Rila. Similar to Seattles Fuji bakeries but with way more tables and easier parking via strip mall parking lot. I had to have the Portuguese egg tarts two days in a row, and I like that they only specialize in a few flavors of bubble teas and do them well. Will definitely be trying their sandwiches and soon. This place is already a home run.
Please update your Google hours if you are closed during your normal business hours.
Chocolate Mousse was delicious as well as the earl gray milk tea. The cafe is really clean and the staff are friendly. Everything was pretty reasonably priced however the had no music on at all. It made it seem kind of awkward to me, not sure if it’s normal or just for our visit time. Overall great cafe just needs a little music or something
Pitacho croissant $2 dallor hot chocolate ask for very hot
Love this bakery. Twice backed pistachio croissant is the best! Coffee is just ok though.
Ham and Swiss croissant was delicious! Matcha latte with oat milk also good ♡
Fantastic bakery with great pastries and drinks. The Okinawa milk tea was really good with a nice distinct flavor. Mushroom, onion, Gruyere cheese croissant was also fantastic! We also got a regular chiffon cake and black sesame chiffon cake. Was very light and fluffy and the flavor was also similarly light. Would like to return and try more pastries. The location itself is a modern look with open space and lots of natural lighting. Just off of 196th so its near the main road, but in a much less busy area
Rila was a very cute bakery with great cakes and delicious tea options. Didnt try the coffee but it smelled good. It would be great if they had some soft surfaces because everyones voice kind of echoed but other than that, it was nice and I would go back!
Very nice bakery and service. I really like the interior - clean, cozy, and modern. I had the coffee cake. They brought it to me warmed up on a nice wooden plate. It was delicious. Espresso was good too. I recommend it.
We are regulars & we love this place! The Hokkaido & Okinawan Milk Teas are wonderful and the bakes are fantastic! The staff is very polite & professional, service is great.
The baked goods are tasty. A tad pricey for how small they are, and the selection is limited. The coffee is meh. They are really the only bakery in the area so they are not a bad option if youre in the neighborhood and just want a quick scone/croissant/etc.
Love this place! The pastries (both sweet and savory) are beautiful and delicious, staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable and casual. Great for coffee/pastry or for lunches.
Excellent food, excellent coffee, excellent pastries. Friendly staff. Nice layout, color and choice of tables, chairs, wall coverings.Could use a few softer edges (couch or chair) to help the environment. However, I will return. :)
This is hands down our favorite bakery to visit. We moved farther away and still go the extra distance just to eat their pastries. Not only are they absolutely delicious the owners are the nicest people you could ever meet. Definitely worth checking out!!
Finally.I wonder often how any one coffee shop in the over-served Seattle coffee scene can differentiate itself from its many competitors. Just about the lot of them start with more similarities than differences: excellent and yummy coffee, tasty food and treats, plenty of comfortable seats (with tables to work on at length, should you choose to linger), and a friendly ambiance.Rila Bakery & Cafe adds a new dimension, a startling design ethic that differs dramatically from other coffee houses; contemporary but with none of the chill such style can provoke. Rila is warm and welcoming; open, bright, and inviting. I could, rather effortlessly, linger for hours.Rila also is the type of cafe Edmonds needs, even yearned for, without perhaps having realized the lack. One visit should convince you to frequent Rila to enjoy its tasty goodies and ambiance. We shared an extraordinary coffee cake, very light on sugar which served to enhance its flavor -- and then fought over which of us would eat the crumbs that remained. Next visit we will order two of each item!
Love this place! They always have both sweet and savory pastries (made in house), as well as yummy sandwiches. Ive been happy with everything Ive bought here!! Service is great and very friendly. So excited to have a nice bakery and coffee shop in my neighborhood!!
This is a wonderful bakery! They make great pastries and drinks. The service in fantastic. I love the Hokkaido and Okinawan milk teas.
Very friendly staff and amazing pastries.Had their ham and swiss croissant and peanut butter cookie, both were perfect! The cookie was soft and not too sweet, the croissant was puffy, crunchy, and had a generous amount of ham inside. Rila is a hidden gem. Love this place!
The bubble tea is a tad too sweet for my taste. But this is a great spot to get work done or catch up with friends.
Really good place to study and their pastries are amazing!! I have the croissant and really reccomend it! The servers are very friendly. You wont be disappointed
This is my favorite cafe in the area. Baked goods are stellar and the servers always seem happy to see us.
Yum. And did I say yum?
Great coffee. Place was nice.
Incredible to have such a great bakery so close. Fresh bread, cookies, etc. Plus bubble tea drinks and espresso! Try the blt sandwich.
Great croissant varieties and with an excellent latte. Perfect stop for a quick pastry & coffee!
It was great time because thre are light view and good coffee with breads.
Cozy coffee shop, delicious pastries. Plenty of seating inside.
Ive eaten here several times, and I feel bad for not rating the place before now... but after today not telling the world would be a crime. Today, I had the Churro Croissant. To call it good is to call the sun a bit on the warm side or to call the ocean a tad moist. Im going to tell everyone I know about this culinary masterpiece of edible artwork. The balance of flavors and textures of the cinnamon, the smooth butterscotch filling, and the flaky dough have forever ruined both Cinnabon and Werthers candies for me in the best way possible.Pairing it with an iced Hokkaido milk tea made for a culinary experience that the owner could probably get away with charging 5 times as much for (and Im glad they dont).Seriously. Try it. (Also try everything else on display, its fantastic).
Not only delicious donuts, but Davis is a very friendly owner. Highly recomend this place.
Pretty good Black Milk tea and a pretty nice place that was close to my house. 💕🤙🏼
3 stars for chocolate mousse $4. The chocolate wasnt rich enough for me. I like that whipping cream was light. Right sweetness.4 stars for matcha and red bean pound s cake. I love the texture. It is in between cookies and muffin. Good amount of green tea in the cake. Wish the out more red bean.3.5 stars pear croissant. It is good but not thing special. The croissant was flaky but not crisp. Theater gave a big piece of pear on top which I like. The pastry cream was good and light.4.5 stars matcha latte with pudding. I love the green tea very rich. Not too sweet. But the pudding was just ok. Btw, they put too much ice (almost half of th2.5 sename chiffon $6. Bland and boring. The chiffon was soft and light. The cake was top with sesame whipped cream and decorated with little chocolate chips. This cake has potential to make it good. They could have added more things to make this cake have more taste5 stars double bakes pistachio croissant. One of the most crispy croissant I have had. Not overly sweet. The filling is good. Generous amount of pistachio on top. Will buy this again.
Great coffee. Nice quiet atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi, and plugins too. Good pastries.
Rila has DELICIOUS baked goods, soups and coffe/tea beverages! The interior is adorable and the staff is super friendly! Great neighborhood staple! 💖
Best pastries in seattle, hands down. the owners are so friendly and so warm and welcoming, it always makes me want to come back. and the coffee is great too!
Cute cafe with fresh baked goods and lots of seating. A nice alternative to the monotony of the big chain coffee shops.
Delicious! My 5 year old said, I could eat this every day for a thousand days! Wonderfully done lavender panna cotta, chocolate mousse and blueberry scones. Light and flavorful. Yum! Cold brew is good too! Super friendly as well, thank you for having us.
Just got a matcha latte. Was very very very strong and tasted very bad but it was cute inside :/
Finally a bakery that isnt pouring sugar down your throat. Hands down the best cookie here. Hella chewy yet crunchy. Price is pretty high but what a great place for a date.
There is no reason not giving a five-star recommendation for this place. I live around here and have been to almost every cafe nearby. Rila is the best, period.
A lovely local coffee shop! Great pastry selections with a unique flair.
Great service. Pleasantly surprised by cold brew and lemonade combination, but make sure you ask for light or no ice.
Reasonable prices & everything I’ve ever ordered taste great! The owner is very nice & that’s a plus!!
Rila is a wonderful neighborhood bakery, but also a great cafe/coffee shop with plenty of seating (both tables and window bar) and quality Wi-Fi. I dont know for sure, but I think its a family-run business. The staff are exceptionally friendly, to be sure. I love their pastry selection which goes great with their super smooth coffee drinks. (Lattes and bearclaws are a match made in heaven!). Rilas is a comfortable place to enjoy with friends, family, read, or even study for school.
Nice and clean place, very good coffee and pastries as well. The employees are nice and the price is average compared to other places, for the coffee is worth it.
Excellent quality Pastries, Croissonts were Flaky and perfectly airated, had a Garlic roll which was probably the most perfectly seasoned pastry ive ever tasted, Cookies were also perfectly baked. Also the coffee is delicious, good quality syrups with an earthy aftertaste, the cups are aesthetic as well as the bags and everything was individually wrapped, good customer service and the lady brought the drinks to us :) 10/10 would go again, on par with 85° Bakery
I want to give them more than 5 stars. Lovely stuff,an amazing interior design, delicious food and perfect Caramel macchiato. The location is perfect too because it is close to my college EDCC. Thanks to Emily and everyone there 💜Hope 💜
Loved the place, very comfy to sit for a few hours. Drinks taste amazing, and the baristas were very friendly. Would come again and again.
Got the original bubble tea and lavender panacotta. Prices were very reasonable, service was good, and the drink/dessert was great.
Excellent ... everything fresh... like if Id be in a French bakery like I have experienced when I lived in Paris
This bakery is amazing!! So beautiful inside and out and the people there are SO nice! Also, everyone needs to try the bacon cheddar croissant !!!
Great service, very nice decor, tasty pastries!
Best donuts around. You will not be disappointed.
Twice baked pistachio croissants are awesome! Also try the hokkaido milk tea.
Love this bakery so much!! They have a great coffee.
Great place for brunch. Delicious food and a friendly staff.
The staff there are really nice people and considerate. It’s the perfect place to just go, chill, read a book, have a quiet moment~~
They always make my iced Jasmine tea perfectly
Great pastries! Coffee was lovely - perfectly balanced with the syrup. Had really great honey lavender panacotta - it was rather divine. They dont rush you out of here; the atmosphere is very laid back. The baristas DO lack a bit of charm - smile and engage, people! You are serving sugar and caffeine to the masses and we want to love you! Only reason they didnt get 5 stars. A little more eye contact will make me not feel like I am a serial killer/unclean... LOL
I love the bacon and cheddar crossiant. My wife gets the almond crossiant and a latte or Matcha. We are regular customers and love the staff and service. Great local, hip place!
Love the lavender pana Cotta. My favorite item.
I havent had a bad item on their menu but some of their standouts are their boba (consistency and flavor is perfect), egg tarts, egg pudding, rum raisin cookies, and blueberry muffin.
Excellent pastries, service and presentation with very reasonable prices
Good coffee, good cake, nice seating area.
Great athmosphere, baked goods, and fun milk teas! Also super friendly!
Awesome cafe! Delicious baked goods and wonderful atmosphere.
Had a spinach feta croissant that was awesome! Along with that I had an americano that was the perfect temperature :-)
Price is huge!!! But was worth for the good egg tart and decent bubble tea.... Good coffee too though!
