Awesome little shop, seriously busy when we were there, so very popular with locals. Has balcony seating if you find a less busy time. Food looked awesome and smelled fantastic, this was a just coffee day for me, so didnt order my but the coffee was delicious and not overpriced. So intended to return for a brunch/lunch

Decided to give this place 5* for the coffee alone. In town from VA beach, the food is not worth the price but the coffee and atmosphere are well above average, worthy of 5* since it is all about the coffee. Further, I saw Christian books in the shelf and Ive never seen that at a coffee shop before so thats cool.

He brought Muse Coffee and Breakfast Burritos to the venue for us groomsmen.The experience starts here. Upon first sip of the Pumpkin Spice flavored coffee, I immediately knew this day was going to be grand. After plopping down into a chair, and taking the first bite of the Breakfast Burrito, I instantaneously noticed the subtle hint of the combination of cilantro and black beans. This combination alone was enough to send me over the edge. Upon completion, digestion began. The Burrito and Coffee sat very well inside of my stomach; no lethargic feelings or uneasy pains were present.Thank you Muse for providing quality products we consumers can enjoy.“Would recommend to a friend.”

Coffee arrived hot and fresh. Customer service was friendly and courteous. Environment was quiet and peaceful. Food was fresh and hot so all around I have no complaints.I will go as far to say as the best all-around coffee shop in Lynchburg.The only area I could see room for improvement is where the sugar is at for customers, it was a little unorganized.

Good coffee, but slow.They are easily overwhelmed by orders, and frequently stop taking new orders to catch up.Food is largely not worth it.Its pricey for what you get, mediocre in quality, and even slower than their drink orders.Atmosphere is nice, but the shop can get a bit loud.

Normally my favorite coffee shop this in town. However this morning the barista took seven orders before returning to mine to make my one coffee. Ended up being a 27 minute wait time for a latte :( hopefully it gets better. Even if its busy you shouldnt wait 20 minutes before you stop taking orders to make the drink from almost a half hour ago.

Loved this coffee shop. I am used to hipster coffee shops found in bigger cities on the west coast. I tend to look for the big couches, warm vibe and amazing roasts. This was a great find.I met a girlfriend here for coffee. She tried a latte and I did the bottomless cup to try two of the three offered roasts. Always great! Extremely well roasted coffee and interesting and delicious food. Highly recommend for either a quick pick up and go or a sit down with friends. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere.

With the bottomless cup and a lot of seating its a great place to hangout or do some studying just as long as you dont mind the off and on crowd. Be sure to save yourself a seat before ordering, and if you plan on being there a while, keep an eye out for better spots that eventually open up and move to them.

Absolutely loved the Muse! The coffee is just fantastic - I go to a looooooot of roasters and Muse is just delicious. Bek, Olivia, and Tiara were just wonderful, so helpful in navigating the menu and just taking an interest in me. Great atmosphere, available seating, tasty beverages, good food. We ordered after a big call in order and apparently there was only one person available to make drinks. So therefore we had to wait a significant amount of time for our drinks. And I like to drink my drink with my food. So unfortunately we had to wait and I was not able to drink my drink with my food. If I didnt have to wait, I would have given this a five-star. I will return to this location. The staff was very friendly.

I love Muse and wish I was a LYH local just so I could be a regular! Anytime I visited my sister in LYH she would take me to Muse. I am in love with their loose leaf teas (hot or cold) and their flavored coffee blends. AMAZING! The workers are so friendly. You will feel welcomed and cared about here, the baristas ask how you day is going etc. unlike some coffee shops that have a stuck up feel. I have been ordering their coffee beans online and my husband and I love them for cold brew or drip. Rainforest Crunch is my favorite coffee bean flavor! HIGHLY recommend Muse whether you are a local or not!

I grew up with international travel in my life, just as a part of what my family did. Of all the places Ive ever lived, especially ones known for coffee, The Muse is by far the best quality coffee shop Ive ever been to! Not only has their service always been incredible every time Ive visited, but because the quality of their coffee is just so good, I started drinking it black too! The Muse is definitely my favorite place to be. Also, shout out to the fun world map wall they have!

Just moved to Lynchburg and Im testing out all the coffee shops. My good friend owns a shop back home so Im a little picky about having good coffee. The Muse nailed it as a top shop on my list, smooth espresso and wonderful service.

Never seen anything fail as much to be what they claimed. Ordered an expresso and literally received 2 oz of only expresso like why would you even sell that.

A nice cafe offering some interesting drinks and a surprising hidden list for Pokemon lovers (see pictures of this place). It seems a lot of LU students know about The Muse and it is often full. I noticed quite a few people would buy one of the breakfast or lunch items or a drink and would stay for hours to talk to friends, use their laptops, read, etc. so the turnover rate for tables is low and there doesnt seem to be a big push to get people to leave either. Kinda like how some Barnes and Nobles used to be. Definitely would come again.

This is my favorite coffee shops in Lynchburg. Their espresso is serviceable, but the drip coffee is great and you can get all you can drink on the cheap! Great place to go to get work done-buy coffee once and drink it all day! Pastries are also quite good, and the upper section is fun to sit in. Highly recommended.

The food Ive had here has always been good. Havent been back since I started drinking coffee, so I cant comment on the quality of their coffee. They have a few non-coffee based drinks that are pretty good, so people who arent into coffee arent left without hope.

Probably the best local coffee shop in Lynchburg, the Muse always has an excellent selection of coffee and coffee based drinks.The reason youll come back though is the breakfast burrito. Black beans, eggs, bacon, cheese, and an option for adding avocado (do it) served in a grilled tortilla with a side of salsa. Every bite is delicious and its $5.They also have a great selection of other breakfast and lunch items like a Mediterranean hummus plate (also comes in burrito form) and other sandwich options.

The coffee is great and the baked goods are under rated. Try a cookie or pastry, their baked goods are better than most of the bakeries in Lynchburg (probably all of them). The atmosphere is good for hanging out with friends.

Quaint! Thats a nice way of saying its a little cramped, but the atmosphere is nice. Big menu. Baristas are super friendly. I wouldnt come here with a group of friends, but its a nice play to sit and read or do laptop work.

Most cozy coffee shop in Lynchburg!

Excellent little coffee shop. The perfect environment for sipping a nice cup of coffee and reading a book or getting some work done. Price for a no frills coffee is just right and they even have a bottomless cup option (for unlimited refills). My number one complaint, and the only reason I am rating 4/5 and not 5/5 is seating. This place is pretty popular and often there are zero seats available. I have gone there many times with the intent of getting a coffee and sitting for a while but have been forced to just leave as there is no where to sit. I know there is not a whole lot that can be done about this but I would suggest extending the small balcony level around the windows on the north side. Maybe in the long term consider expanding or moving to a nearby location with more space. Or make a complete second level/floor at the current location.

Fantastic place, sometimes theres a line to get your coffee but thats always serve fresh hot and made just for you. Always worth the wait. Whenever Im in town its a have to stop

The staff here do an excellent job and put good effort into their drinks. Good quality coffee and a cozy atmosphere. Free WiFi. Not much seating with one or two tables outside as well, so if you come during peak hours you may have trouble finding a spot, especially for more than one person. In a very nice area of town as well.

After waiting in line for one lady ordering 15 coffees on 15 cards and another two people in front of us we finally got our coffee. It was barely warm. Terrible. If we had known this lady was ordering 15 coffees we would have gone somewhere else. Because she was using cards we thought she was having trouble with the cards. Not the case. Very rude of inconsiderate of the lady

The only drawback to the Muse is what makes it so endearing - the intimate, yet limited seating. Constantly filled with students and adults alike, tables are hard to come by, and doubly so if you want to sit on the balcony.The Muse hits the nail on the head between sweet drinks and quality coffee. A Wyndhurst staple that I hope goes nowhere soon (unless another new location is opening near Wards Road!)

Everything about the Muse makes it awesome. From the service to the coffee! Staff is always friendly, warm and consistently ask about your day especially if youre a regular. Bottomless coffee helps me get through the very long hours of studying but the genuine smiles and service make studying even that much better and fun *says no one ever unless youre studying at the Muse* ☺️

Had a delicious nature lovers coffee and my friend had a Lynchburg fog, both were delightful and we will be checking on their bagged coffee. Fairly quiet, most people college aged and studying. Definitely some hipster and trendy aspects. Staff able to make recommendations based on tastes.

The Muse is a great local coffee shop! The food is always good and they have a great assortment of gluten-free options too. The gluten free waffles are one of my favorite. Wide assortment of teas as well- the Lynchburg fog is 👌🏻. However, during the school year its very busy and space is usually limited.

Great place to study, drink a yummy coffee, and have a yummy little munchie! I love when they have gluten and dairy free pastries ! The breakfast burrito is to die for. They have gluten free bread to substitute for their sandwiches. It is wheelchair accessible but a bit cramped inside. They sell art and pottery and other small decor made locally there. Cozy atmosphere, sweet baristas, fun place to chill. 😍

Depending on what youre coming here for, you may be a little disappointed, or very happy. This is a nice place with fantastic service, serving mostly nice, sugary coffee drinks. If youre here for a mocha, a latte or any of their speciality drinks, youll be very happy. I was hoping for a trendy coffee place with pour overs and amazing espresso shots, which I did not get.

This is the place to go for coffee, the roast their own coffee and really care about the quality. they steam milk very well and make fantastic drinks. There is a Red Head there that has got to be one of the best baristas i have ever run into making latte art and everything. On top of a killer smile, i would keep going back just to see that.

One of my favorite shops in Lynchburg, great bottomless coffee, reasonably priced, delicious, and unique food, and great chai. The only reason for 4 stars is they rarely have enough seating and its often a bit of a struggle to claim a table (which probably speaks to its quality, but nevertheless can be frustrating). I highly recommend checking it out, especially if youre able to go during off hours, like the afternoon on a weekday
