One of my favorite coffee shops in the area. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable on all their products! Here the coffee is roasted locally in VA and the beans are bought in countries with FAIR TRADE. I had their ice coffee, so good. Also they have pastries and tea.

Best cold brew in Lynchburg, unfortunately, seems to be out of business as it’s been closed during open hours the past few times I’ve gone :(

Says open online in multiple places. Got there at 11am and they were closed. Trash and old magazines piled up at the door looked weathered. Not sure if they’re permanently closed or what. At least update your hours

Excellent espresso and coffee offerings from Red Rooster. Very friendly staff and a pleasant, modern atmosphere. Free parking is available nearby and they are adding even more.Put this one on your short​ list, its well worth the visit.

Out of all the coffee shops in Lynchburg, this is probably the most consistent and tasty one- good location with street parking, friendly staff, great seating indoors and some outdoors in front, and reasonable prices.

I used to love coming here when I was in town. Theyve been closed during their open hours on my last few visits. Hopefully they arent closed for good, theyre definitely a staple in the vibrant Lynchburg coffee community.

Its a coffee shop no more or less better than most. I still prefer Starbucks because of their quality and consistency. Also this business is a gym in Pokemon go. Which brings this company great business imo. Keep it up guys!

Love this place! The coffee was wonderful. the atmosphere is priceless. Small yet Quaint with nice workers. Reminds me of a family business and it isn’t crowded it’s perfect.

The coffee is fine. I was really hoping for a bigger menu but was pretty disappointed in the food choices. Just not a lot. No hot options. Not even close to a full kitchen. Fine for coffee but not much more. The service was friendly.

My friends and I stopped by just for hot tea and coffee and got so much more. We loved the atmosphere and the way the drinks were brewed. And the owner was super nice! He won my friends over which is really hard to do!

My experience at 5th St. Grind was a pleasant surprise. Many coffee shops are just copies of one of the more well known coffee companies, they have the same old drink choices, and when youve seen one, youve seen them all. This coffee shop was different. They proudly serve locally sourced coffee, the atmosphere is unique, they had some new drink options, and the more common drinks were created with more care than Ive seen elsewhere. I love pumpkin-flavored coffee in the fall, and I can confidently say that the one from 5th St. Grind was the best one Ive ever had.

Awesome coffee! Great service! We had planned on sitting out front because we had our dog with us and when the manager saw her he invited her in letting us know they were dog friendly ....he even brought her a treat and a bowl of water with ice....We will definitely be back!

Ive never got a bad cup of coffee, the barista has always proved to me that coffee making is an art not a skill and not to mention the customer service is extremely friendly. The restaurant is always clean the outdoor seating is also extremely nice. The only downside is when I came in and there was no pastries which I might add is extremely rare. I look forward to returning again

My son and I stopped here this afternoon for a cup of coffee. Parking is sparce, so give yourself a few minutes, but once you do you will be very pleased with the service, ambiance, and quality. Our barrista, Cory, regaled is with coffee info, he truly was passionate about his craft. The coffee was excellent, I highly recommend.

This place is fantastic. I came two days in a row while visiting, one of the best americanos Ive ever had. The place is super cute and the baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. Locally roasted beans too. Everything here is just right.

I tried out this place today. I got a delicious iced coffee (Cinnabon flavored). And the staff was super helpful and nice. I think that is something that sets them apart from other places.I was also able to peacefully study for midterms and eat a yummy, toasted bagel.And tip: if you sign up for their rewards you can get a free drip coffee.

Nice artwork and coffee. Small but cozy. Great for a quick to-go cup of coffee or lattes. Parking is on the side of Harrison Street beside a run down building.

Delish! This man knows how to brew! My macchiato was flavorful, strong, and delicious, without being bitter. The muffin was good... I wasnt crazy about the weird filling, but the top was good. I would definitely buy more coffee from this shop if I lived here!

Student-oriented cafe. Very pleasant, and very friendly service. Chairs are uncomfortable, but the products are good. Lots of Pogo players and the occasional Ingress player. Two portals in range.

I stopped in for a mug of something wonderful. I was not disappointed.Stop by sometime if youre in the neighborhood or even if youre not, make the trip.

Espresso machine was down when I went but that didn’t stop the staff from serving me cheerfully as well as informing me on there multiple other beverage options(tea, pour over, drip coffee). I am a loyal customer of another local coffee shop in town so I was hesitant to patronize the new comer but I was pleasantly surprised and I’m looking forward to trying out some of their espresso based drinks during my next visit.

Best thing about this place is its staff...very welcoming and helpful. Coffee definitely has potential, but brewing methods need a little work (mine was overextracted). Biggest problem for me was their pet-friendly policy...my 4 yr old son and I are pet allergic, so we ended up pretty miserable after visiting this place. I have no problem with the policy, but it would be great to have notice posted on the door so folks who are not so pet inclined can be aware. It definitely seems to be a hit with patrons, but worth considering that inclusion of pets means exclusion of patrons like myself. No worries, though...I dig the live music spot, staff was great, and I think the coffee can only get better. I just like breathing more than all that. 😁

Wonderful, hip coffee shop. Lots of great, friendly staff and they are pet friendly! Coffee is great and service is top notch. I felt very welcomed and so did my great dane! Wonderful to see a great place like this in Lynchburg! The only knock would be the parking. But I was told plans are in the making of a parking lot behind the building in the near future. One of the best coffee shops in Lynchburg, and Ive been to all of them. Its small but bright on the inside. The pour overs are great, and on weekdays they often have a special. The best coffee shop in Lynchburg if you want to stay away from the college crowd, the patrons are a great mix of locals.

The chai latte was excellent or how my girlfriend put it- heaven. The art displayed on the walls is on sale and from local artists which I found to be a really nice touch, and I am excited to see the wall change with different art as it comes as goes. The staff was friendly and quick. Every wall has an outlet, and students get a 10% discount, so it sensitive to the student needs. 5th street has a great atmosphere, and I would recommend it to anyone.

The atmosphere at 5th St. Grind is typically quiet and relaxed. While the shop itself is small and doesnt boast a large menu, the coffee is spectacular and your barista just might recommend something excellent. During my most recent visit, I overheard the barista, Joshua, talking about how much he loved his job. He was very cheerful and polite, even in the midst of some patrons who were less than pleasant. That kind of atmosphere is why Ill be coming back!

Ive been on a turmeric kick lately, so was very pleasantly surprised and happy to find golden milk latte on the menu. The barista was super friendly and chatted with me while he made my drink-which was EXCELLENT btw.So nice to see local businesses breathe new life into 5th street and the downtown area. Coffee is phenomenal, but parking is nearly impossible. Art space available if you are looking to sell, and staff is very friendly and helpful about getting your art up.
