Dublin is definitely the type of coffee shop to relax and do homework. Good coffee, but the breakfast is okay. I had the avocado toast and it was not very good - It had more garlic than avocado. The service was pretty good except for the mix ups with orders.I would come here again, but maybe just stick with the coffee.
Great coffee shop and the breakfast was excellent. We sat outside and Lynchburg is beautiful. The staff were super kind and helpful. Most importantly, the coffee was excellent and they had a nice selection.
I ordered breakfast and a coffee. The coffee was delicious as was the food. The environment was comfortable and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.
The service is so good! All of the people working there are usually college students, so theyre not your average, kind customer service people who greet you and smile -- I mean they do all of that too -- but its easy and effortless to start a conversation with them, or they will start one with you :). Happens every time I order something. One time me and my boyfriend were having so much fun in line we forgot to ask for our drinks to be made with almond milk instead of regular milk. They are super nice about correcting your order too! :)
Where do I even begin… I went to this cafe just yesterday Wednesday Sep,29th and experienced the worst customer service I think I’ve ever received. I went with a group the cafe was pretty much empty and my drink was made relatively quick. Although they left out two drink orders, The baristas were sitting at a table chatting as my sister went to ask where the drinks were. One snotty barista with short blond/brown hair who didn’t even ring up the orders proceeded to tell her she only ordered one drink which she hadn’t even received as well, going back Nd forth instead of getting up from the chair and looking at the register to see that she was very well in the wrong. I sat there in complete shock watching it all go down but I honestly wasn’t surprised because that same barista had an off vibe once we walked in. Very unprofessional as she showed up with hickeys all over her neck to work and a bad attitude that needed to be left at home. My sister goes there all the time and said that was her first experience like that. But personally that’s enough for me to never return. The one star is for the other apologetic barista Nd the nice aesthetic of the place that’s about it.
Really enjoyed the cup of foam that came with the single sip of coffee
My favorite coffee house in the entire area. Very friendly staff and the coffee and food are great. I love the climate!
They have mastered their espresso flavor! Ordered an iced latte with a splash of lavender syrup and almond milk! Absolutely delicious! Make sure to stop and try their espresso based drinks! If you like Kombucha, they also have a delicious Elderberry Buch on tap right now!
Possibly the best coffeeshop in town. Love these guys. I go there and talk and have my drink and never regret it.
This place is great! We stopped here on the way home from Natural Bridge area, and were glad we did. It is right by the river, and the surrounding buildings and scenery are nice to look at. The interior is well decorated and there are tons of seating options from bar stools to couches. There is even a nice little reading area with a small library. Parking is easy as there is a large lot across the street with free parking on the weekends. Will definitely be coming again when we are in town. Oh yeah, good coffee and good prices too!
The coffee was delicious and the cafe felt so cozy
Great atmosphere. Best part of downtown.
Great cafe. Wonderful place to hang out as a family, bring a group of friends or come with your computer of choice to work on homework or a business project. Coffee tastes great and the vibes are very trendy. Highly recommend!
Very BEST Chai Tea Lattes!
Usually takes a while to get your coffee but a good option for downtown coffee/tea!
I never take the time to do reviews but my experience today calls for one. Very unhappy with the service at this location. The place was rather busy I will admit but I waited for almost 30 mins for 2 (uncomplicated) drinks while all three baristas casually spoke with customers (who were clearly their personal friends) at the counter. Because the employees were distracted, drinks were just placed at the end of the counter with no name called or what the drink was, leaving awaiting customers staring at one another curious who it belonged to. I completely understand speaking with friends who come to see you but not when 15 people are waiting for drinks and you display no hustle in the least. In the interest of protecting my time I won’t return to this place. The two stars is only because it is a nice coffee shop.
Nice place aesthetically.atmispere was a little cold and they promote religion such as having a biblical verse painted on there walls which I dont think is appropriate for a public place of business.which also reflects thier views and the customers they want at thier establishment.
The actual shop is so cosy and really does feel a bit like a pub. Their coffee is strong but good. Jefferson street is such a fun place to be on a saturday morning, and Dublin is no exception! They have lots of seating right outside which is a lovely option. The only thing I must note is the shops prices are really high. Even getting just an 8 ounce latte will cost you 4 or 5 something dollars.
Honestly, the most friendly baristas as well as best tasting coffee around. Great service, great atmosphere and great coffee! Awesome new website!
Such a cute space with reasonably priced and yummy coffee and tea
Hats off to this place and it’s employees! Friendly workers, great food, and happy faces all around. Even tho we had to wait a bit, it was totally worth it. We will definitely be back!
I really enjoyed this coffee shop... would have been 5 stars except the staff doesn’t seem to think wearing a mask while preparing/serving is necessary. Hopefully neither have covid.
I LOVE this place. It is by far my favorite place to study. The staff are so friendly and personable. They make me feel like Im part of a family here. If you come repeatedly over time they will make the effort to learn your favorites and get you taken care of. The atmosphere is very home feeling and in my opinion a much better study friendly place than other local shops and Starbucks. The drinks are of incredible quality, the price is fair & balanced and the service is very good. It never gets too crowded, the furniture they use are by far some of the most comfortable Ive ever enjoyed at any cafe shop. This is how you do a local coffee right. I strongly recommended everyone check this place out. Its worth the trip and I think it should be your go to coffee shop.
Om spot for wifi or to read a bookThere coffee is Disappointing and the Pastries taste Stale
Adorable coffee shop with a great space for gathering and working with a cool ambience. Will definitely be back here to study. In a great location in downtown Lynchburg!
Great coffee shop. Coffee was amazing and i loved the atmosphere.Best baristas i have ever seen. My order came out fast and was very good. Loved my experience. The owners were very nice and coincidentally we have the same last name.
This is a perfect place to hang out for events downtown. They have awesome outdoor seating for nice days and plenty of indoor seating. Their coffee is pretty good, but their customer service is excellent! Everyone behind the counter is friendly and quick to help you select a drink if you need suggestions. I only wish the atmosphere was a little brighter like some of the other coffee shops. Its hard to work on projects when the walls and tables are dark and the lights are dim.
Delicious drinks, cool vibes inside. Would recommend the lavender and rose lattes, hot chai latte, and the kombucha.
Coffee was great, but jerry Falwell jr. and becki were there and tried to get me to come home with them.
Great vibe!
Great tasting Coffee
The staff was polite and the coffee was robust. I had iced coffee with vanilla, and was very pleased with the taste. The ambiance was delightful and the atmosphere was what I think a coffee shop should look like.
Sometimes you just want something tasty - I got a mocha frappe, which is basically a coffee with chocolate blended over ice and topped with whipped cream. Simple as that sounds, usually places dont get it right, going too heavy on the sugar, or the ice, or blending it insufficiently so that you have to wait for it to melt. But not this place, they nailed it. It tasted like a cold, properly made hot cocoa - actual cocoa, not super sugary, perfect balance of coffee, and blended so smooth you could drink it through a coffee stir straw.
Really good coffee and a fantastic environment.
Great coffee and a wonderful relaxing atmosphere.
Love this little coffeeshop! Its a comfortable, quiet little place downtown thats great for getting work done. The coffee is absolutely amazing and the breakfast is absolutely delicious! The service was absolutely fantastic as well. Ill definitely be coming back!
I want to spend all my time studying here. It’s so cute. Latte was good and art was great! The people are very friendly and the environment is wonderfully quiet. I love that you can borrow a book if you donate one of yours!!
Coffee is delicious. Nice atmosphere
Service is slow. It took OVER 20 minutes to make a latte and there was no line when I went in and only two people sitting down. A couple came in behind me and the one person ordered tea (which I specifically did not order because it takes them at least 20 minutes to make tea as they use a fancy hot plate system, etc they should invest in a tea kettle for faster service, I digress) Anyway the couple got their tea before I got my latte. I was late getting back to work, which is just across the street from the cafe, and I got a call from my boss on my way back wondering where I was, he called me in front of my colleagues. He gave me the stink eye when I got to work and I was embarrassed in front of my colleagues. The slow service is really unacceptable.
I recommend the avocado toast with one of their pour overs. So good and great service! Emma-sue is so sweet and remembers me when I come in.
Great coffee! One of my favorite places. Nice setting. Outside seating and inside tables. They have great pour overs and my favorite lavender lattes!
I went with my girlfriends and she says...THE BIGGEST MOST DELICIOUS CHICKEN BISCUIT I HAVE EVER HAD. Plus the coffee is amazing. Service is wonderful. Cute decor. Honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars.
I really didnt like this place at first. There wasnt an espresso machine and the staff was v standoffish, not to mention the service was slower than if I had driven all the way home and made my own cup of coffee. BUT the store really turned this around. I love the coffee, the staff is friendly and they got an espresso machine. Its a cozy place with great seating for laptop work or reading books. Definitely try it out!
Not much of a coffee guy myself but I have it on the word of two VERY competent coffe connoisseurs that if its brewed here its high quality products processed by experienced, trained staff on the best equipment. My knowledge rests in tea and their selection is more than satisfactory. Ive also tried most of the foods available and have nothing but positive things to say about Dublin 3. Wonderful coffee shop with fun, kind staff, rustic and comfortable decor, and a menu full of winners.
Id say 2.5 stars really. The location is awesome, and the aesthics are just great for a coffee house. It is a bit small but cozy. The back area has a sharing library which is a really warm touch to have for our community. But, the two things that matter the most, customer service and good tasting coffee, are really lacking =( Ive been here 7 times just to give it a fair chance, coming on different days and at different times. The coffee always leaves a funky after taste... like stinky feet funky. I did once ask for a drink to be remade and the result was the same. But the worst part is, every time Ive been in the employees are just so rude. They dont greet people coming in unless they are a friend or co-worker, and they will have long, I mean a line has formed and they dont seem to care long, conversations with each other or the person ordering and to be frank, if youve got a line, you need to get through it ASAP. Its also kind of a bummer that they dont have many, and sometimes no, food options. But I suppose that part isnt necessary for a coffee house? Anyway, hope they will bring in some customer service trainers and get better coffee beans...
It is okay. tastes like almost everywhere else. nothing stands out about it.
So to start off with, Ive been to Dublin several times and the coffee and service has been great! But the service isnt great now. I walked in, there wasnt a line, and I ordered a flat white. Then I wait for 15 minutes for my flat white and in the meantime two other orders are fulfilled! To add insult to injure the coffee left a burnt after taste.
Delicious coffee, great location, and one of the best places on the waterfront to spend time with friends.
What kind of coffee house doesnt have at least 2 coffees to choose from? They only had a light roast coffee that they were trying to pass off as a dark roast. Worst coffee house Ive ever been to.
Micah Kelley was an incredible barista. I didn’t know what to order and he recommended and then created the perfect drink. Customer service was great and the staff is so friendly!
Really nice
Good coffee, friendly staff, helpful on your first visit
Loved!!!! The Chai Latte-Dear gosh!-and the regular latte with SF vanilla syrup-Amazing!-were both YUMMMMY!!!! Truly, from the cozy atmosphere, to the yummy baked goods, wonderful baristas, and amazing (strong but NOT bitter) coffee/chai tea, I was in love, and plan on stopping in as frequently as I can ❤️
Dublin 3 is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in Lynchburg. Their drinks are top notch, and the workers are friendly, seem happy, and aim to please. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about this Coffeehouse. Also, its always clean, which is a plus in my book.
The coffee is delicious. The space is so relaxing. Old oak beams and exposed stone walls. You can grab your coffee and go. Or, you can grab a seat and enjoy the coffee.
Cool coffee shop with friendly staff. They offer a nice selection of food and coffee. I recommend trying the nitro brew coffee!
Perfect place for a great cup of coffee!
Good coffee! Knowledgeable staff who know how to make a great Latte with sone flair!
Disappointing pastries yet beautiful and cozy venue, friendly and kind staff, flavorful coffee.I came in Friday evening and got a scone and two drinks. A Peppermint Matcha and a Dirty Chai, both with Oat milk. The drinks were delicious and the staff was great! Sadie and Jacob were very hospitable and attentive. Sadly, the only pastry available was the scone, which was too thick and thus was extremely dry and even raw in the center.Hoping to see better options for such a key product in a coffee shop next time!
Those dang freshman... always getting the nice stuff - the stuff that we, the seniors and alumni, payed for with our tuition and taxes. They don’t know how all we used to have to choose from was rot “coffee” (aka dirty dish water) and the White Hart (which closed for a time during my Liberty years). Nonetheless, I’m jealous. You get to enjoy the amazing atmosphere and rich coffee at Dublin 3 while you study. So soak it in freshmen; you’ll be writing this same review in 4 years anyway.
BEST coffee shop in the area. The atmosphere is SO inviting. I love the rugged wood interior, and the cobblestone road out front. I will be going back here next time Im in Lynchburg.
Some of the best coffee in Lynchburg! You are truly blessed if Feli the barista is working.
Good high quality coffee, but also one of the highest priced coffee shops in Lynchburg. I dont think there is a large enough gap between quality to justify the gap in price. Still, their house drip coffee is worth the cost, and you get a free refill. Everything else seems overpriced to me.
Great friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Its a great place to go downtown Lynchburg and have coffee. Also a great selection of teas. Give it a try.
Highly recommend the frozen chai. The atmosphere here is designed to be a place to study and read their books at least in one section
Love this quaint coffee shop. My lavendar honey latte was delicious!!!
Love the feel of this place. My favorite parts are the rock wall in the back, large wooden beams/supports, and the method of drink service. My first trip was a success and I intend to return with friends.
Highest quality coffee in town. Great location and feel, inside and outside seating are available
Only quarter of menu available based on broken CO2 on dispenser on a Friday. One staff member was quite knowledgeable about the products, but the other one did not how to prepare certain orders. For these reasons, I didnt even dare order a food item add it seemed they were ill prepared for business, which is sad on a Friday afternoon with a nearly empty store. The work flow is inefficient in tracking and delivering products once ordered. While this place has its niche, its limited offerings and inefficiencies will keep its volume and appeal low. This is definitely not a unique, required destination.
The staff went out of their way to accommodate my needs (coffeehouse-related and unrelated) multiple times. Everything else appears top quality too to me.
Very tasty coffee of a variety of style, and a nice atmosphere that isnt too loud. Its got a perfect downtown vibe.
Coffee is good. The portions for iced drinks seem smaller. Plenty of seating!
Best coffee shop around. Friendly service, very cozy with a couch, small tables and chairs, very good coffee as well as tea. Not to mention coffee on tap. Good stuff (:
Slowest experience in my life. I will never come back here. I will say in their defense, there were a handful of people in line in front of us but this wait time was absurd. Three people working behind the counter and it took us 45 minutes to get 2 pour overs and 2 lattes. If it weren’t for the buy one get one free coupons I would have asked for my money back.
