I stopped here for a cold brew and learned from the very friendly barista that their cold brew offering is in fact a rebellious act against the otherwise monopolized cold brew scene in Lynchburg, VA. #resistThe coffeeshop is inside a sweet recordshop with a long conference table for working if youre into that, there is WiFi and chill vibes to boot. They also have kombucha on tap, local delicious popsicles, and a list of mocktails.The main entrance is up a few stairs and Im not sure if there was an accessible entrance-- its connected to some artsy looking suites and offices so probably.

Awesome shop! Awesome coffee, great service by baristas and the owner Blake. I’m serious, they have top notch service, they are welcoming to all, and their space allows for hanging out, relaxing & enjoying great music! Their mocktails are great! My personal favorite is the virtue!

Beautiful coffee shop with a truly unique brand and menu. Great quality coffee with brilliant creativity and attention to detail. I’ve enjoyed their drip coffee, specialty mocktails like the ‘Mint Condition’, all the way to the very photogenic ‘Teen Spirit’ and have never been disappointed. A wonderful spot to hop in and out or stay a while, hang with friends, or browse through an incredible selection of vintage and new vinyl.

I love the atmosphere at Backline. Its welcoming, lots of natural light, very friendly baristas, always good music playing. The raspberry hibiscus green tea lemonade is bomb.

Visited from Jersey on Wednesday. The atmosphere of the shop is so dope. Coffee is delicious, and the flavored iced teas. Also they have a slew of mocktails.Come and check them out.

Backline is a cool unique cafe! They offer a variety of drinks - the iced coffee is always delicious, the iced teas with the fresh fruit purées are the perfect drink for summer and the chai is out of this world! I always have a great experience and the staff is a delight! :) I highly recommend it for all! It’s family friendly with all the different drink options they have. Plus you can scout their record collection and buy some new music while you wait for your drink to be made.

Dirty Chai made with a local Chai blend is heavenly and a perfect kick in my day! And the ability to pick up a couple vinyls to increase our collection! Killin’ it on Jefferson St!

Their coffee is some of the best in the area, and if you’re not feeling coffee their menu of teas, mocktails, lemonades, etc. just keeps growing! The setting inside of a record shop (Speakertree) makes for an amazing aesthetic, and the staff is always above and beyond. My go-to recommendation for anyone visiting Lynchburg!

Backline Coffee is a really cool music and retro inspired coffee shop in Downtown Lynchburg. Its located inside of Speakertree Records, they have a great selection of vinyl records and vintage and thrifted clothes. Coffee, lemonades and mocktails are on point!
