We havent been to a Costco for a while as we live in The Villages and there is no Costco near by. So on the way home from my treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center we stopped at the Costco in Lutz, Florida. Im happy to report shopping at Costco is still a fun, rewarding experience. The $1.50 hot dog and bottomless soft drink special remains just as tasty as I remember and one of the best bargains around. We couldnt find a coffee maker on sale so we asked for help. The staff was very willing to help, physically searching for the item and then checking the computer to determine the item was out of stock and on back order. I was a little surprised that the floor staff didnt have mobile terminals to check location and availability of inventory. A trip to the front of the store to check a desktop computer was required to determine the status of the item. We will detour to Costco in Lutz again!

Tried leaving a review for Costco in general but couldn’t figure out how.. anyway.. Times are freaking tough right now you know? Everyone is trying to come back from losing their job and getting back to being financially caught up.. I work full time.. trying to pay off student loans.. and just bills in general… well, went shopping with my mom about a month ago and she was going to pay for my groceries.. now I did read the hand book and I did see that the membership card holder has to pay.. but GIVE ME A BREAK!! I’m broke!! And MY MOM was trying to help me!!! I think Costco should revise that part!! And state that as long as the member is present anyone can pay for groceries!! I mean money is money right?! And I’m tired of eating freaking RAMEN NOODLES and EGGS!! I loved going to Costco but I guess I’ll have to put it on the back burner for now until I can financially go back to purchasing my own items! Bummer!!!

Always the best place to go for bulk groceries or just a larger quantity above the norm. Shop there at least 2-3 days each month, usually after our payday at the beginning of the month.They have Great pizza st the snack bar. Where else can you get a LARGE FRESH handmade pizza for $10.99 and it taste Fantastic? No where else but Costco!!!!My favorite wholesale club🙂

I love Costco! I’ve been an avid shopper since Price Club days. This location is pretty good. Employees are very friendly and never had any issues with returns. I prefer to go to Costco during the week to avoid crowds and shopping trip is always smooth. Suggestion, avoid Friday and Saturday unless you visit early or later in the evening. I wish they would add more ethnic foods and designer goods (for options) in aisles compared to other locations, but demographic plays a role.

Overall good experience have found more organic foods and less processed food here. would like to see more wild caught items in the seafood section but still a good amount. self checkout available as well as store associates checkout.

This is a larger Costco. I think that is one has more upscale merchandise. Stay away from the self-checkout area. Its nuts there. The shelves were all stocked. This is a very busy area, and it has the traffic that goes with a busy place.

It was great! Found some good deals, and got some other things I needed. Employees were very nice!

We drive close to an hour to shop here for the convenience of bulk pricing and fewer shopping trips, because we have a family of six and own two businesses and a guest house. But today for some reason, although no one is talking about paper shortages we were told we could not buy two packs of toilet paper….give me a break! They refused to let us buy more than one pack and even told us we could not get another one until the next day. Who knew the great toilet paper shortage would last a life time. So much for convenience.

Its extremely crowded and busy at Costco but they always have what we need and their workers are very helpful and nice. Its a all in one store which makes it great so we dont need to go shopping elsewhere. I definitely recommend this place to anyone needing to go shopping and find stuff for an affordable price!

Love this location. It’s always super clean and organized.Buying bulk saves me a lot of money and also saves me buying little plastic containers that only pollute. I love their prepared food which saves time and it’s always delicious.

Consistently excellent, just like every Costco I have ever visited. Tire guy refilled my tire in the rain, even. Its like the Chick-fil-A of warehouse stores. 🙂

Best place to shop and save with quality products. Have to try the Kirkland Signature products, you will not go back.

I have been there today and I did found on eating side when I ordered the cheese pizza being a pure vegetarian would never want the cheese pizza on the side of pepperoni pizza. These is not accepted totally by such a big chain of wholesale market. I have even taken the photos for the same.With these I will not be willing anymore eating stuff from there anymore. Everyone please be aware if you guys are vegetarian.

We like Costco for the convenience and the gas prices. However, the prices throughout the store have been going up and up!

Love Costco. Great prices. Even though we are only 2 at home I shop less & this store is so convenient I can rin in for great price on milk, eggs, tomatoes, cukes, & other fresh items.

Not only are there plenty of bulk discount food items you can choose from, but the big appliances TVs, washer & dryer and Refrigerators as well as any of the in house services ie; Tires, eyeglasses etc. You can save plenty and get 4% cash back by using there registered Visa card. Customer Service was Excellent.

Very crowded and almost no one wearing their mask. But I love those hotdogs. Yummy!

This place is absolutely the worst place to have a membership too. The staff is absolutely obnoxiously rude. I have never seen anybody happy nice or polite whatsoever. I think the staff has to walk through the door and get the life and happiness sucked out of him in order for them to work there.

Love the pharmacy. Deli could add on-the-go sandwiches. Featured tortellini salad wasnt great at $12+

The check out no cashiers we all go thru self checkout. We all had issues then cashiers popped out and help other the 6 of us, separate shoppers. Agreed it was odd. In a rain storm there must have been a meeting there where lots of them in huddles all over but help was not easily found. I had a full cart self check out had no hand scanner and I cant get all those items on theCrook scale.When I took them out got helpFunny I wanted hell not to feel like a crook but whatever works

Love Costco but was so disappointed they stopped senior/disabled hours as Covid is still rapid. It was a nice touch. Wish you’d rethink it.

Just an amazing store with great prices and excellent staff. Dont be afraid to buy the in house brand (Kirkland) All the items are top quality and many are manufactured by the name brands you have come to trust.

This was definitely the best time of day - before 10am. Easy in and out. I know this place is about bulk deals but just wish there could be smaller portions of some items...bakery choices, a smaller side of salmon. Thats just my wish but what I get is awesome.

This Costco is great. Avoid Saturdays as it’s always busy. Otherwise they are always stocked and ready to go. Staff are awesome. Ask them anything and they are glad to help. Pandemic makes things weird policy wise, but that’s everywhere. New self check out goes well. Give it a try.

As a health care worker, customer service at Costco don’t have that human touch, trying to push me a credit card all I wanted is a regular membership that person went from day to night because I declined to apply, the store looks awesome with great products, I can’t speak about other associates, but that experience, let me with the bitter test, not sure if I will renew

I always have great service at Costco. thats every Costco that Ive gone to and thats practically almost every one of them. This time around I called the lutz location and the conversation was very uncomfortable. Her tone was dry and unwelcoming and by her mood I could tell she is going to make no accommodations. I felt the badgering and I even had to mention to her that Im not even a customer Im a member. I even questioned myself....Why did I take it that far? I called about their opening hours and 10:00 am is way too late. Does anyone understand why senior hours at this juncture is still being suggested. What is Costco really doing? Whatever it is I can tell that the rule is not for the member. Are they really concerned about the virus? Seniors really have a problem? Maybe its a great excuse to say, do not pass go and do not collect my cookies.... But the only thing you can do is...drive straight to work!!!!

Best place for great deals that can save a lot of money. Gas prices are about 15 cents lower than regular gas stations.

I have been a loyal Costco shopper since 1996 in Atlanta and was so excited about their expansion to Wesley Chapel/Lutz area.Costco is My favorite place to shop online and in store. The employees are wonderful and make my shopping a pleasure while Im saving money. The quality of their food is far superior to other big box stores. The clothing is a high quality for a reasonable price. The furniture is awesome. I buy all my tires there also. Love this place!!!

Traffic is horrendous, worse than Brandon if possible. Went to get a car battery, I took it out, bought a replacement and installed it in less time than getting back to SR54 and back on 75.

Love Costco in Lutz, Fl. Just wish we lived closer. Store is clean, well stocked, and laid out well. Their pharmacy and optical dept are the best! Love, love, love Costco

Great place, but needs 2 things to make it easier for consumer. List on aisle the items on display and sizes put on garment display card. So consumer doesnt have to make a mess while looking for there size.

Costco is the place for deals. Food, fuel, auto maintenance, furniture, business accessories, etc. can all be found here. This is an upscale, wholesale warehouse membership shopping business. Make sure you hit the concession stand area for a cheap quick eat too.

Very very busy!! I dont usually go on a Sunday and now I know why.Still I was able to get what I needed and get out in a reasonable amount of time.

My girlfriend and I went to the store today for the first time. Shopping was good we found many things to purchase but during check out 2 workers I think they were managers tall Hispanic male with no hair and young lady with a white shirt they watched us like we we were going to steal something. We both felt uncomfortable and there were about 12 inches from us no social distance at all. Once we paid for our items we noticed he backed away from our register. I work in finance and my girlfriend in law enforcement we were not going to steal!!!@.😡😡😡

I had been thinking about switching from Sams to Costco because I heard the pre-made meals were amazing and there were more organic options. Both of those things were true. However, I will be staying with Sams because I feel the layout of the store is easier to maneuver, better organized, and the aisles are all labeled. Plus the self check out at Costco is only for people with 10 or less items. Sams Club has better checkout service.

Our first experience with membership and I must state for the record move over BJS. Dont get me wrong, love them but after our experience today at Costco well definitely renew! Costco has a great selection of products, including many organic options. They enforce mask-wearing, so I feel safer shopping there. I understand the workers are better paid, so its a more cheerful place than many. I wish they delivered to my area!

The store and items are great very good deals however check out people need to get some training on how to be nice and not rude !! Today was the worst ever !!!!! I was explaining that I work for Walmart loss prevention and I put all the items in the cart with bar codes up and visible to aid in scanning the items the girl taking the cart did we have to take everything out of the cart so we see there is nothing under the items I said you can see they are singles in the cart nothing doubled she said doesn’t matter I have to take everything out of the cart so I did do much for work b smarter and me helping . Guess I will do self check out from now I.

Mask police like no other. Not sure why costco feels they know my health issues better than actual doctors. I guess a name tag qualifies you as a MD now. Very sad wont be back.

Very clean and very friendly employees! I was able to get what I need and leave in a very orderly fashion. I appreciated that they were open early for the first responders and elderly. Over all just love going to Costco!

Its a good place to shop. There cakes and bakery items or really good. But could have longer hours. 7:00 is to early for some people.

Best prices and selection. If the quantities are too large split them with family.

Great warehouse club store. This Costco is conveniently located and has a great variety of every day essentials as well as wonderful gifts for the holidays. This Costco is clean, organized, and the staff here provide great customer service. Membership is required (similar to Sams club). I purchase everything from groceries to household needs throughout the year. Its definitely worth joining.

This Costco is the closest to my home but often I found no sizes for me and have to go down to the one in Brandon to find small/medium size shirts or shorts. It’s not that I am a midget (I am 5’8”) and wear 30” long pant. It is that they rarely carry sizes for waist 30” and the T-shirts favor Large and X-Large.I commented multiple times on those feedback box near the entrance but none reached back to me. I am reluctant to say they discriminated against fit people but it makes no sense the same Costco in other locales would carry cloth of small and medium sizes.As matter of fact this is a trend growing in every aspect of shopping scape - more plus sizes and less and less size for fit and skinny people. Instead of encouraging people to lose weight and control their sizes, consumerism just try everything they could to encourage consumptions. I hope Costco can do some more socially responsible things, starting from treating skinny consumers (not to mention these are more likely higher earners, much higher to be honest) with equal respect!

Some great employees but some very new rude people. 😒 The lady at the in front throws my stuff around the car. I say hello she ignored me 100% and say hello to the people in the back. maybe she was having a rough day. I been in wesley for 9 years and shopping at this location since the open. Service is always great! Food selections are cutting edge - easy to find foods that work with food style eating; i.e. Keto, Paleo, Vegan, etc. Plus they truly have the best tasting Rotisserie Chicken around.Thankfully Costco is following CDC guidelines and permitting fully vaccinated customers to shop without masks.

Love the Organic food variety and the condiments and rubs. My recent favorites are the organic chicken dumplings in the frozen section and the Pacific Foods brand - red pepper and tomato soup.
