I have filed a complaint with the State Department of Consumer Protection. If anyone has experienced what Im about to describe, I recommend they do the same.Just to reiterate what other 1-star reviews have said. This is the type of place to use mass mail lottery scams to finagle people into traveling to their dealership which they then use even more shady practices to rip people off on a new vehicle they probably dont even want.I had a disabled elderly neighbor fall for this & had to assist them, drove up, & even I was missing what was going on as they were probing for info from the poor guy. Had he purchased a vehicle, which was ~$10k, the financing plan they recommended was $397/mo for 72mo. This would have caused the final price to jump to ~$28k. They were moving like lightning through this process, to the point it was like watching a disaster unfold. My neighbor is disadvantaged, & while this may seem cruel, you can tell this just from looking at him. Yet these guys were totally fine with ruining him.
Was nervous going back here due to a couple less than pleasing visits. After I arrived and was greeted by Lance I explained my caution and my past experiences. He informed me that they have gone through massive employee turnover in the service department and he felt confident that the entire attitude of the department was 180° different. I am much more confident in them after this appointment and hope they remain on this path moving forward.
Excellent service and the staff is very friendly. Peterson Toyota will help their customers any way they can to purchase a vehicle. Doing business with them was a pleasure and would highly recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from them. Even when we didn’t think it was possible for us to get our new vehicle, they went out of their way to help any way they could. Thank you so much Peterson Toyota staff for making this happen. Please see Daniel Meza for all your purchasing needs. Y’all were awesome!!!
Terrible Business Practice DO NOT BELIEVE “GIVEAWAY”I drove over 45m because I “won” a scratch off in the mail. I called the business to confirm that it was real and over the phone they asked for my invitation code probably to pretend to enter it somewhere. They then tell me that my code is a winner and I have until a certain day to go down to the dealership to collect my prize. SO THEY LIED. I walk in and they try and sell me a car just shrugging off my supposed win saying “We will get to that” then waste my time RUN MY CREDIT PROFILE WITHOUT ASKING. I signed saying they could so I guess it’s my fault for not reading the really small print, but every dealership I’ve ever been to they’ve told me in person and asked wether they can run it. The saleswoman just said “Sign here saying that the info you told me is correct” DID NOT MENTION RUNNING MY CREDIT. Finally they realize my frustration and they get to my “PRIZE”, and brought out some silly board and say that my code had to match the one they had. EVEN AFTER TELLING ME ON THE PHONE THAT I ALREADY WON. This is probably the WORST BUSINESS PRACTICE dealership I’ve ever dealt with. Maybe I’m just gullible but after the fake phone call and fine print on the pages you tell me if you’d believe you won.
Peterson Toyota was the absolutely the best car dealership I have ever done business with. Their professionalism with helping me with my decisions was never better. Travis was just perfect in helping me make my delicious. If things continue with their service as good as it is now, I will never use anyone else again. Anita Locklear
Went in to look at buying a car and the salesperson that I dealt with was completely unprofessional. While looking for a new car, he was answering multiple calls and texts from his girlfriend and not even answering some of the questions I had. I had better expectations from this dealership and was completely disappointed at how the managers ran their staff/employees. Also, the inventory of cars here is extremely low. Save yourself some time and go to another dealership.
This was a great experience for me. As a first time car buyer I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the staff was more than helpful every step of the way! I would definitely recommend Peterson’s and will 100% be returning for the next car I purchase!
We had an amazing experience! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We found the vehicle we were looking for and got a great deal. It was the EASIEST and BEST car buying experience I’ve ever had. I would HIGHLY recommend Peterson Toyota and/or Peterson Chrysler Jeep to anyone. You won’t be disappointed.
Elton was so polite! I just had surgery and the cover under my car came loose, they fixed it and thanks to the multi-point inspection that they do (regardless of your reason for coming in) they also found that my spark plugs werent changed at the 100k mile maintenance (I just bought the car)... Elton got the price to replace, which was super reasonable for service from a Toyota Authorized Dealer, and set up an appointment for me to bring her in to get it done. He didnt try to sell me anything, which I greatly appreciated, just brought to my attention something the car needed! THEN, He brought the car back up to the door for me to minimize how far I had to walk! I truly appreciate the extra care taken.
MR. Trashcan Elmore was a great salesman he help my family out a lot. He was very encouraging on the test drive and also great with working out a deal to fix my family needs. He need a promotion.
First, Your your operator does not seem to be to happy. I was there for 4 hrs to see how much it would cost to replace a part. The manager gave me $139 off of a job I didn’t I should have been charged at all. We do buy from there any more. They don’t have the concern that they once had. In the past I have referred a few people. My wife’s van. My oldest son’s truck. My youngest son’s came from Florence SC. They are glad to see you
Nice staff but very poor communication and customer service. I spent weeks trying to contact an individual for assistance after purchasing a vehicle through this dealership. Not once did they return a single call as promised. Three months later, my vehicle still isn’t registered and now it’s all on me. A notice would’ve have been nice instead of telling me that they were handling everything.I will not be purchasing another vehicle through this dealership or recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle. The headache and stress is not worth it.
I wouldnt recommend Toyota place to anyone. I will not buy another vehicle from Toyota. You go and get your vehicle inspected and pay one price one year then pay another prive another year. They wanted to charge me for the factory tint that was already on the vehicle. This is the way the vehicle was made and came off the lot like this. Instead of telling the customers they just charge you for the tint without your knowledge. Definitely would not recommend. When you make an appointment for a service youre up there waiting hours. Instead of letting you know if they are behind, they just keep you waiting.
SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SCAM!!!!!!!!!!! SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is the worst business I have ever dealt with. They just lying with this lottery ticket for you to get to the dealership so that they can knock you off. I won that ticket and called in, was told to go and claim the price. I even asked the representative on the phone and he said I had won. Walking in, I found a sales person who started asking about my car. He was trying to sell me a new car as well. I wasted an hour worth of driving just to get a 2 dollar lottery. This is a scam.A real scam.
This place has some super shady business practices. Honestly what waste of time. If you have to hook in customers with this literal gimmick that you claim is not a gimmick, something is wrong with you. How awful. They’ll sit there and entertain the fact that you THINK you won money and then break the news that you actually didn’t win anything except a $2 scratch off. What a joke.Edit: They have made no attempts to contact me regarding this situation. Do not let their reply to me fool you
My Husband and I have made purchases with a few different dealerships over the years. But I must say this one was by far the BEST Experience Ever! It was closing time on a Saturday night and still got the Best treatment and by far the best Hospitality. No one rushed or pressured us and most of all we where treated with the most respect. If I can give this dealership a 10 Star rating I would. To anyone looking for there Survices I definitely will tell u, this is the best option. We will be returning again! :) very happy customers..
Peterson Toyota is misleading people with their sales event lottery. Every card out of 30,000 has the $10,000 prize marked winner, but when you arrive with the card you learn that your number wins a lower prize all the while theyre trying to sell you a vehicle. Will never step foot in this dealership again.
We have bought 3 vehicles from Peterson Toyota and worked with Brian Sweat both times we purchased and we had wonderful experiences both times. We priced Honda Odyssey’s at different places and Peterson Toyota gave us the best deal.
Is my 8th vehicle between my husband and myself purchased from Peterson Toyota. We were always approach by friendly sales persons. There financial arrangements are always budget couscous, always reasonable.
Trashawn Elmore was super friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I would definitely recommend you see him if youre thinking about a new car.
I called the dealership about a specific vehicle on their lot and the gentleman on the phone quoted me a certain price. I told him specifically the car I was looking at...I made an appointment. After talking with them I was told the the car was $8000 more than the quoted price!! The phone call I made was even replayed to make sure of what was said! They would not budge!! I was HIGHLY disappointed! I feel I should be given the price I was quoted...VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
Great place. They were so nice and willing to work with you. They understand where your coming from and willing to help no matter what.
Scammed my family into driving almost an hour there because we had a winning scratch off mailer from them. I even called and made sure it was legit. Their paper even said no gimmicks. It was a winner, but once we got there it somehow wasn’t? We sat there for over 30 minutes, just to be told we were basically lied to. The sales rep’s tune changed really quick when we said we didn’t need a new vehicle. They made us an actual appointment for winning and had us set up to meet with “the VIP sales manager” And we weren’t the only ones, 2 other people had the same thing happen to them and they were sitting right next to us. My husband heard the sales reps snickering and laughing in a corner about how this “lottery” brings so many people in. They handed us a 2 dollar scratch off and smiled and waved us off. Peterson Toyota runs a dirty game. They are the last place I would ever look for a vehicle.
He everyone!!!! Trashawn Elmore is fantastic and so friendly. He is very professional and that man need a raise because he know his product knowledge and how to treat a customer! We love our new vehicle that we got today! Thank you so much trashawn Elmore!!
Went Saturday 8/28 to get my truck serviced and had a great experience with all employees. Including salesman nick hale
They were very professional in doing their jobThey informed me on other areas that needed to be taken care of I really wished that I could have gotten them taken care of but my fiance was low. I really appreciate the service that I received
If I could give this place less than one star I would. For your sake dont even make an appointment with these guys. To start I made an appointment with the VIP manager and he confirmed the appointment 3 times. So I drove an hour and 45 min and got there about 10 min early. Some kind with a t shirt and jeans on showed me to a folding table to sit and asked why I was there. I reminded him that I had an appointment at 2pm with the vip manager to test drive and buy a 2021 Toyota Carolla. He told me that someone was out test driving the one I wanted atm and I would have to wait. I then asked his to possibly show me another car that was similar to the one that was in my budget (15k) he told me that that budget was too low and I wouldnt be able to find something in that range because of the non optional 5k add on package I had to get with any car. I asked on the phone if there were any other fees other than the regular administration and tax tags, they said no. So I stood up and left. 20 min later I got a text asking why I missed my appointment! Like really.
Passing through lumberton and needed my last free Toyota care service. Had several different people try to convince me to get new wipers, cabin air filter, engine filter, and VIP service (I informed them I was busting passing through but was convinced to pick all my stuff up and move into another area so they could get my info when I won’t ever be back in this place!) In the age of Covid having all these people up in my face wasn’t fun. The waiting area is TINY with no place to work or distance from others. The sheet they sent home didn’t say anything about what was done to my vehicle. I’d have given it a one star review except the service advisor was so nice and friendly, even when he was telling me my brand new wiper blades needed to be replaced :)
Great sales rep! Trashawn Elmore was amazing, funny, patient, and willing to go the extra mile, and more importantly not your typical “shark” salesman. Absolute pressure to speak with any day of the week. We’ve been looking for a truck for awhile now, and today we finally found what my husband really wanted and all because of our dope salesman Trashawn Elmore. He went the extra mile for us today even with the ridiculous heat and never once did he complain. He was a genuinely kind soul and we will definitely be referring our friends. Thank you for making this purchase bearable. And Patrick Floyd, yeah, he was pretty dope, too.
Trashawn Elmore did an amazing job today. I told him what I was looking for in a car and he delivered. Thank you so much!!!
Don’t fall for their GIVEAWAY scratcher mailing!! I drove over an hour and a half to this dealership to receive my “prize” after I called on the phone to verify that the “$10,000 Winner” was legit just to receive a $2 scratcher when I got there. They also ask for your SSN to run a credit score even though I wasn’t in the market for a new car. Managers were also extremely shady when I questioned the mailing. Some sketchy marketing practices smh. Wouldn’t come here if you are looking for a reputable dealer to buy your next car.
Trashawn Elmore is amazing. This guy know his product knowledge and made my family day. He did a great job on explaining everything and the guy know some Spanish !!! If you need a vehicle please go ask for Trashawn Elmore !! Awesome Guy and we love our new Ram 1500!!!!
Trashawn Elmore is awesome and he made our dream car come true ! He is great with family too and made that feel more of home . He gave us a lot of food and always checked on us ! If we had a question, he had a great answer to help us right away !!!
Trashawn Elmore did a amazing job getting me in my new vehicle and he’s the best salesman ever had. Definitely would recommend him to everyone that’s looking for a car.
Everything was AWESOME with Trashawn Elmore and Taylor P. they both were really good and made this a great experience
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Peterson Toyota. Everyone there treated us respect and courtesy. The staff was more than helpful in getting us into a new Toyoto SUV. If you have never visited this dealership in Lumberton, you definitely need to make time to go in and meet these wonderful people.Give them a chance to put you into one of their great vehicles. You will be happy that you did!!
Hey everyone !! I am at Peterson Toyota and Trashawn Elmore did incredible job . My mom and I both Got a vehicle ! I want everyone to come to Peterson and ask for Trashawn Elmore . He made my time fly by and knew his product knowledge super well . I love my brand new Dodge Ram 1500 and I thank you all !! Great job Trashawn Elmore and Peterson Toyota !!
Other dealerships gave my son the run around with pricing and financing. Peterson Toyota had us in and out in just a few hours with exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be returning customers. Salesman Eric did a great job. Thanks again.
I drove over an hour to this dealership because I won a scratch off mail in ticket. After calling and verifying that it wasnt a gimmick, I was lied to saying that it was the real deal. I am in the market for a new vehicle, but I will never give this dealership my business.
Peterson is the only place I’ve purchased my last 11 vehicles from. Yes…11! I will always refer anyone to their expertise and professional advice on vehicles. They want what you want and will work hard to get that for you. No exceptions!
Trashawn Elmore is a amazing Sales man . He never complained about any questions we had and needed . He had faith that the deal will go as plan and it did ! We love our new Colorado 4x4 truck !!! If need a great sales person go to him!!
As always, we had a wonderful buying experience with Erick Locklear at Peterson Toyota. Thank you, Erick, for taking care of us from start to finish.
I will never shop for a car here again under any circumstances. I went to Peterson Toyota because I found a used car online that I was interested in buying. I told the salesperson over the phone which car I was coming to see and set an appointment to come in the following day. When I arrived, the salesperson took me to a table to get some information from me. I’m used to being asked some information verbally, but I’ve never had to give details such as my work address, and apartment rental history unless I was actually ready to sign a loan or something. I was also asked for my SSN, which I declined to provide because I didn’t want the credit check to impact my score until I was ready to purchase. She insisted that they needed this, and I asked to speak with the manager. I’ve been to several Toyota dealers in the past and this was never necessary. Finally she continued w/o my SSN and I waited 30+ minutes while she entered my information in their system. She then bring out a list of cars to show me, and it didn’t even include the car I came to see. Finally, she brings a different car out than the one I came to see and I insisted that I wasn’t interested in that car. I was told that the other car was in Service for detailing, which would have been nice to know before driving 1.5 hours to this dealership. She then tells me that she could actually bring the vehicle out. After inspecting it, it turns out that they falsely advertised a feature that was important to me. I showed her the listing on their website and it clearly says that this car came with Keyless Ignition but this car did mot have that feature. The car was listed at such a low price that I’m confident that this listing was being used as bait to bring in new customers. I wouldn’t trust anything this dealer says unless you can verify it yourself.
The customer service was excellent. The staff was very professional. The only problem I had was I though that my warranty was supposed to take care of the tire rotation and I ended up having to pay out of pocket. Hopefully thats something that can be fixed on my next appointment. But other than that, I appreciate the service staff.
Highly recommend going anywhere BUT here to get your vehicle. I purchased a 2020 Camry from here back in December of 2020. The sales representative clearly had no knowledge on the cars whatsoever. I was told my vehicle had features (such as the remote start through the toyota app, heated seats, etc.) that the car ACTUALLY didn’t have. I made mention of that fact the car didn’t have heated seats when we test drove it and my representative seemed shocked at that fact. She spoke with her sales manager and they agreed to pay to have heated seats put into the car, since they knew that was a major want in the car and knew I would walk without it. I should mention this was the last car similar to the one I wanted on the lot so they didn’t have the option to show me a different one. They assured me the car had the remote start feature, but I wouldnt be able to access it until the car was registered online in 24-48 hours. I purchased the car, they switched my tags from my old car onto the new one, and I went on my way. I was told that I would receive my registration through the mail within 30 days, which has yet to come (and it’s August of 2021..) I received my registration email less than 24 hours after leaving the dealership. When I went to enroll and set up my services, I learned my car actually didn’t have the features I was told it did, therefore the remote start would not work. I contacted corporate Toyota to see if I possibly set it up incorrectly, but they informed me that based off of the VIN number, they could tell me that without a doubt the car did not have the features and that I should reach back out to the dealership. I fought with them for WEEKS before finally getting them to pay to install the heated seats I was promised, along with the remote start. Turns out that they put some cheap system in the car that only works if you’re literally right beside the car and only from your key fob, not the app like I was sold on. I picked my battle and just went on my way without saying anything else. Well, it is now time to get my tags renewed on my car which is impossible without the missing registration. Whenever I call into the dealership, nobody ever knows what they’re doing and are absolutely helpless. I cant get up with the DMV, and nobody there knows what is going on with anything so it looks as if I am once again going to be battling them to get some kind of resolution and be done with them once and for all. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this dealership at all costs. They will lie to you to make a sale, and then avoid you once the paperwork is signed.
We spoke to Austin on the phone, upon arrival we were told that they had no idea who we were. We drove from fayetteville for a supposedly VIP appointment. The person we met never introduced himself and was of ZERO assistance. The only reason I give a one star is because I cant give -100 stars. My wife Van has been twice with basically the same result. This has to be the WORST example customer service EVER. SHAME ON YOU
Horrible business. When they make a mistake it becomes your problem and you have to spend hours/days and time off of work to resolve it. Taking this issue to the Attorney General and hiring an attorney. They will run your credit and lie to you the whole time. You will sign contracts for vehicles they can’t even get. The other dealerships like Pinehurst and Hendricks are much better.
The process went smoothly I left feeling happy about my purchase from a knowledgeable and friendly Destiny. Thank you so much
Go See Noah Pevia, You Won’t Be Disappointed!!!!
Very professional went out of the way to make me satisfied from salesperson to mangers!!!Very satisfied
Supper impressed with the level of professionalism and customer service. Negotiating the price was hassle free which made the buying process a pleasant experience. Definitely worth the drive from Fort Bragg. Don’t settle for Fayetteville dealers.
Great experience with purchasing my first vehicle. I worked with Noah Pevia, such a friendly salesman.
These dudes are scam artists. They send out these scratch off mailers, and when you call to confirm that you won they tell you to come claim your prize. You show up and they collect all your info, run your credit and then tell you that you did not win. Its a dishonest way to get people into their dealership and see if you can afford a car. I will most definitely never purchase a vehicle from these scam artists.
Jenna and Jorge are wonderful at the Toyota place in Lumberton. They provided me with excellent customer service and I was 100% satisfied! Highly recommend!!!!
Absolute great place to buy a vehicle from! Very friendly and helpful with fair prices. Will definitely recommend to everyone!
Trashawn Elmore is the best!!! If you looking to buy a vehicle from Peterson Toyota please go to him . This is my 3rd vehicle with him and he so amazing!!!!
I have both my Toyotas serviced with Peterson. I really appreciate the twice per year tire sale they have. The only thing in the past couple years that I dislike is the upsell campaign that they started. I get it..... any bites increases their service and parts profits. However, I can 100% guarantee I will be hit with a suggested engine and cabin filter change at every visit. I have gone so far as to put in new filters myself a day or so before going in and I still get the upsell speech. Now I just tell the service clerk up front to not recommend a thing to me unless its very serious.
Service staff was super nice and did a great job getting me back on the road
Peterson Toyota is a great place to get your next vehicle. I had a great experience with them they go way and beyond to get you riding in your vehicle of your choice there sales repersentives were super nice and easy to work with and talk to they pay close attention to what your needs were thank you Toyota for my new vehicle.
The reception staff were very professional as well as cheery. They listened to my concerns with my Tacoma. Once the technician had diagnosed the problem as an extended warranty item that Toyota recognized as a potential problem, they ordered the parts for the repair. I left my truck over night, they received the parts the next morning, and the truck was ready for pickup by 2 pm.The truck no longer has that loud whining noise when driven. I could not be any more satisfied than with the services provided or the staff. My truck is nearly 12 years old. Toyota knew of the potential for this problem and they fixed it at no charge. I am a happy camper.
They lie and scam. They tell you what you want to hear to get your business then DO NOT follow through. This business has no honor or integrity and I wouldnt be less pleased. Would not recommend, much better dealerships out there.
Jerri was amazing!! She did not stop until we left with our brand new Camry! If you’re looking for a car please see her.
Horrible car buying experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be lied to. Salesman promised me floor mats for a used vehicle I bought because it didn’t have any. Days and weeks of me calling and messaging and no response, he didn’t have to lie I would’ve still bought the car... THEIR WORD IS NOT THEIR BOND!
Trashawn Elmore took very great care of me !! He bought me food and made me feel like a VIP person !! Love it and got my beautiful Jaguar XE !!!
Mr Peterson was very professional, funny and extremely nice. We are and always have been a Toyota family, (he and I are not related but he definitely treated me as family). Mr. Peterson made the experience even more pleasant. Amazing group of people to do business with.
I scheduled an appointment to see a specific vehicle. I was told to ask for Tony the manager with my VIP appointment. I drove a hour and 15 to get there and when I got there they could not find my appointment and Tony was available. On top i was told that the vehicle I specifically wanted was sold . The following manager had no idea what was going and stated that there were no comments on their system. Poor costumer service and not proffesional at all.
My husband and I had been in contact with Traeshawn Elmore here at Peterson Toyota for about a month in regards to a certain vehicle… well, Traeshawn came through and made the experience well worth the wait. Traeshawn went above and beyond to make sure we walked out happy, and we sure did.Traeshawn Elmore is amazing!
This is a amazing place !!! I was treated like i was a king ! If I was worried about anything, they handle it very professional and honestly !! Love the service I had there and recommend everyone to check it out !!!
Everything was great and the staff was fantastic, Everything was explained in detail about my service
BAIT AND SWITCH!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! I found a few cars on their website that seemed to good to be true, so I called them. I spoke to a Manager by the name of Bender. He told me that he had the vehicles on the lot and were ready for purchase. I also asked him about any other fees added to the vehicle because we spent three days looking for a car and had a bunch of dealerships do the bait and switch thing. He told me that the vehicle was the price listed plus tax title and license. I explained to him that I would be driving two hours to get there and was ready to pull the trigger today, so I wanted to make sure there was no surprises. After driving an hour, and my girlfriend looking at more cars and then looking at reviews for the dealership, we found the catch. I then called Bender to ask about the Peterson Advantage, that someone else had complained about. He told me earlier that all of their vehicle CAME with a lifetime warranty on the engine and transmission. I asked if that cost more anhis reply was, It comes on all of our vehicles automatically. Then he told me that it comes on all of their vehicles, customer cannot opt out of it because it is automatically on all of the vehicles. It was also stated that the Advantage was not an add on, but the price of 2195 was. So, not only are they advertising a vehicle for one price, they are FORCING you to get the Peterson Advantage and adding 2195 to the prices, before tax title and license. When I asked him about this, he said that he had to drop the prices down to incredible prices because the dealerships in the area around him were under cutting their dealership by hundreds of dollars. This way, the dealerships cant survive by dropping their prices by price matching. But, they dont sell you the vehicle at the prices listed on their website. I was also told that the Peterson Advantage was something that was on their website to let people know about it. It is not. It is on their computers at the dealership, not online where you and I can see it. Sounds like some back alley hustling going on here. Makes you wonder how much money they have ripped off from customers. Do yourself a favor, do your research. We found a beautiful Camry with the same miles on it, for the same price as their accord, with no extra fees or anything.
Outstanding people to deal with and if I buy another Toyota it will be from Peterson ! Went to other dealers and they didn’t want to deal but these guys at Peterson are there to sell cars !
Dealt with my issue very quickly
My wife and I live an hour and a half away from the dealership, so we called ahead and talked about very specific price negotiations to avoid wasting a trip all the way out there. We were told that our price point wouldn’t be a problem in reference to a specific car. Made an appointment for that specific car, gave them the stock number, for 3:30pm. When we walked in we were shown to a table where we could wait for our salesperson. We told them that we had an appointment, gave the name, but we’re told that individual was busy and to wait at the table. At 4:30pm I went back to reception and explained we had an appointment we scheduled an hour ago and still hadn’t been seen. About 10 minutes later we were assigned a new salesperson, who informed us extremely slowly that the car we made the appointment for had been sold. We told him there was one other we would like to try, we did and ended up loving it. Same make and model as the first car and it was even listed as cheaper than the first car. Our new salesperson informed us on the test drive that this car came with “The Peterson Advantage” when we asked him about any Toyota warranties that were still valid on the car, he stated that included a lifetime power train warranty. My wife and I were shocked and even asked multiple questions about it and were just told that it was included on the car. As we ended the test drive, we were informed that they don’t honor the price they have listed on the official Toyota Certified website and that the only way to get that price is to finance the car through them, if not, it would be an additional thousand dollars. He claimed it was in the fine print, but upon inspection, it is nowhere to be found on the Toyota Certified website, only on Peterson Toyota’s desktop website. Instead of getting worked up, we asked if they could even match our interest rate we already have. He claimed they could and then ran our credit. He came back to tell us that he didn’t actually know anything about what our interest rate would be and that we would have to talk to finance to find that out, but that he could get our payments to a certain amount. He seemed genuinely shocked that we didn’t fall for that trick and when we got up to leave he ran over to his manager telling us to wait and let him get someone to talk to us. His manager then came over and attempted to explain why the car was now costing over $2k more than previously stated. It turns out that “The Peterson Advantage” is thousands of dollars and not actually included with the car.. at least not without the extra money. Long story short here, avoid at all costs if you value your time at all, because they absolutely don’t. We finally walked out while they were still talking on the phones trying to figure out who screwed up at 6:30. Worst experience ever.
I went to Peterson Toyota to look for a new car. The staff is super friendly and the salesman Erick was super nice and explained everything along the way. This was the fastest process in buying a car I have ever been through. Definitely excited about my new 2020 Corolla.
Sam is the best car salesman. He always treat the customers the way the should always be treated. I co-signed for my brother car. And I had my cuz also buy a car here. I will be back many more times. Thanks Peterson Toyota for all that you do. It would be nice if y’all had a reference $$. Great place to buy a new/used car in North Carolina.
Very good service from staff, quick and efficient.
Great experience. My salesman was awesome
Noah is a great salesman. Peterson Toyota is the best!!
4 cars in a row, always excellent service!
I was very pleased with the salesperson,Noah Pevia, his knowledge of the vehicle, he was very professional and I must say I am very impressed with the Four Runner.I like the way it drives and rides.
Great experience! First time car buyer and Mr.Craig was an amazing salesman!
They were patient with me! They gave great customer service from the time I pulled into the parking lot. I wasn’t talked into anything I didn’t want. Tony Blackmon made sure I was happy from start to finish! We even had his partner sing a great note for us! I would recommend anyone who is need of great quality vehicle with all the warranties included to shop at Peterson Toyota with Tony Blackmon ❤️❤️❤️
This is the best place to buy a new car . Very helpful and upfront. Ask for Kendrick Freeman best salesman on the East Coast!
I had a great experience purchasing my new car at Peterson! Erick L. was an amazing salesman and is probably the main reason I went through with the sale before viewing a few other car lots!
The employee was awesome! She worked with me in getting my car serviced in a timely manner. She was very friendly and smiling the whole time.
Enjoyed doing business with these guys! Trust me you will to! Love my new 2021 Toyota!
Scammed us into driving over an hour there because we had a winning scratch off mailer from them. It was a winner, but once we got there it somehow wasn’t? We even called to confirm before driving there. Waste of my time.
Great experiences here with Mr. Sherman Moody. He is honest and will put you in a nice affordable vehicle!
Would never do business with them after they send unsolicited messages like this to service members.
It was a pleasure to work with the team at Peterson. They could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I could not give them a higher recommendation.
Maggie was my service advisor and was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with.
Very friendly and courteous. Service department processed us very efficiently from beginning to finish.
Was very disappointed. Drove the truck. Went inside with the lady. Told her to not run my credit until I was happy with the sale price. Yes sir, will not run it. Im sitting at the table the sales manager comes out with a price. I say no, he says, I can do better, give me 5 minutes. I say ok. Im setting there and get a notification on my phone. My credit has been run, not 1 time but 4 times
Wonderful, patient, hardworking, family oriented team. Got what I wanted, plus things I needed. Highly recommend. Anthony and Mr. Robert in Finances were a big help.
It was a very pleasant experience fo me. Brandon Parker was extremely helpful. He, and everyone involved with my purchase went above and beyond what they expected from any dealership. Thank y’all so much!
Service staff was friendly, knowledgeable & timely.
