Messer has trucks!! Purchased a 2016 F150 here and drove it back to Memphis! Ruben Navarrette was our salesman. Did an amazing job. Even made sure gas tank was FULL when I left. I bought my car on 10/08/2021. Thomas Gonzales was awesome in helping me in getting into my vehicle..The dealership stated that the vehicle needed to get the electric components fixed.. They said it would only take 3 to 4 days, we are on 11/02/2021 and I still dont have my vehicle. Im paying on car insurance and my car payment almost due this month and no vehicle. Im disappointed this time around this has never happened to me before. Ive bought 2 vehicles from Gene Messer there. 😒.

My daughter attends school in Lubbock and needed some repairs done to her car. The dealership had her car for a month before having it ready for my daughter to pick up. When driving it home she observed a noise that wasnt there before. I told her to call and tell them as she was planning to make a 5 hr trip home that day and we wanted to make sure the car was safe to drive that far. She was told they couldnt look at until the next week. My husband immediately called them and asked them to look at as she had just gotten it back. After speaking to the service advisor and service manager they finally agreed to look at it. They told my husband they looked it over and didnt find anything wrong with it. She left the dealership to make the trip home and still heard the noise. When she got home my husband put the car on a lift and found several bolts loose under the car. He called the dealership and spoke to the service manager on duty who told him he would get with everyone involved on Monday morning and call him back and it is now Monday evening and no call back. We also left a voice mail for the General Manager as well as an email and we have not herd anything from him either. The quality of work was very poor and the fact that they would send a young lady out on the road in car that was not safe and then not return calls is very disrespectful!

I’ve been coming here for about 4 years now since I moved to Lubbock for school and I don’t have a single bad thing to say. Efficient, quality service at not so bad of a price. They are always up front and open about services that need to be done without pushing you to get something you don’t want. I always rest easy knowing my car is in their care. Sometimes they have a bit of a wait so definitely have a ride ready to go and come back but other than that I would give 10/5 stars if I could!

I made an appointment on line easily. I noted that I had concerns regarding the recall and that there was a vinegar smell coming from my air conditioner. Lane greeted me when I arrived, was very professional & I noted my concerns. He said another appointment would need to be made for my Navigator to be checked for the hard gear change. Ok fine. But the recall and the smell were noted two days prior on the on-line schedule. I was told my car would need to be returned to stay for 3 days to “get I. Line” for the service. This is really inefficient and an explanation of why my concerns weren’t being addressed would have been nice. In the past, my complaints about the air conditioner smell were addressed at time of service/oil change by Barbara.

I had trouble with my F150 pick-up and was passing through Lubbock. It was barely drivable. We were towing a camper trailer and got it parked at the RV park and barely made to Messer Ford with the truck. The service department was responsive to my dilemma. They worked my vehicle in that afternoon. They had the throttle body to fix and worked it in the next day. They arranged for an Uber ride for me to and from the RV park. I appreciated their kindness and effort to get me back on the road!

Ashley actually surprised me. Had been trying to sell my truck, and couldn’t get what I needed out of it, but he was very nice and helpful.Well, got it sold, and was looking a week later for a much more inexpensive vehicle. I had been given the run-around at other dealerships in the area, and as I drove into your parking lot to see something that I had noticed online, Ashley called me to follow up. He came out, and we looked at a couple of vehicles. To my surprise, he remembered me and what we had talked about a week earlier.We found the right vehicle and negotiated a fair price. Very professional, but also very caring. Will be back next time we’re in the market!

Same problem with service not wanting to schedule a review of a problem. They just want to tell you to bring it in then they will not give you a time that they will look at it. That means that you have to commit to leave it a week just to have someone look at it then you will need to make another appointment for repair and then again you must wait a week to have it fixed. This is poor management at the top levels. They will have to change if they want to be competitive when the market for new cars come back. This will be a serious topic of conversation when sales start back.

Tasha was absolutely fantastic, she did such a wonderful job from trade in, to our new purchase, that my mother in law decided to trade in and purchase a new vehicle for herself that very same day. I went to the service department where I dropped off my car. Was told I would get my car washed as well as the service done on it. They called me a hour and a half later to come pick up my car and to please hurry because they close at 6. I get there where no one is available, I have to play the game of try talking to this person. I felt lucky because they didnt lose my keys like the gentleman in front of me. I finally pay and get to my car and noticed the car wasnt washed. No big deal but once I get inside the car and start it up, I see maintenance required visit your dealer. I have to give you 2 stars because its all about the little things.

I brought my vehicle in for a recall service for my airbags and fuel tank. The service was done quickly and thoroughly, and once I brought it in for an appointment, I was kept well-updated on my vehicles progress. The staff were all very professional, respectful, and efficient.The only complaint I would have would be concerning communication while awaiting parts for the recall. I contacted the recall program and they pushed it through to Gene Masser. I, however, did not hear back concerning the issue for about two and a half months. While I now know that this was due to the dealership still waiting on parts and solutions from Ford, I would have appreciated more communication from Gene Masser on the matter - even if it was just a weekly update saying that they were still waiting on parts.

Only thing is I wish I got a better report on my pickup as far as brakes, tires, etc. the sticker on my window didn’t have anything checked as far as bad, fair, or good, so that would have been a bit more helpful! Bought a vehicle that ended up having an issue in less then 60 days. Once I got ahold of the correct people the issue was resolved. I can’t speak any higher of the management team. From the managers to service managers. They all were completely honest and took care of me and the issue. I had a whole list of recall work done on my truck and they kept me updated the whole time even when the wrong parts showed up and then again when another part showed up defective, that takes guts to be that honest with a customer, specially when Im sure they deal with difficult customers all the time. Purchased a brand new f350 elsewhere, and that dealer allowed it to roll off the lot despite it having an open, do not drive recall on it that did not get addressed during the week they had it with them. Gene Messer took my truck as a walk-in appointment and fixed the recall issue immediately so that it could be safely driven home to Colorado, despite being backed up with other recall work and having nothing to gain from doing the repair. I cannot stress how thankful I am for their kind and quick service during a very stressful few hours.

Ashley is very personable and works to satisfy the customers needs as best as he can. He actually follows up with phone calls to check on the customer. I have never had this done before. Ashley found out where the vehicles were because they were not available for customers to see on the sales lot. We had to walk a few miles to get to the vehicles but I had 4 different ones to look at. I drove a couple and my son and I liked the 2020 Explorer ST and started the deal. Ashley knew that I dont like to waste time in a car dealership. He got everything done and the total time from start to finish over 3 short trips was less than 2 hours. The sales manager got involved to get me a good deal and work up the deal sheets then we went to the finance department. The finance guy made a couple of calls and got the deal done and I came back the next day to sign the papers.

Gene Messer Service Department took great care of us. Pat checked us in at the Service entrance and gave us the information necessary to check back on the progress of our vehicle. We called him a couple days later and he answered his cell phone on his day off in order to direct us to someone who could update us. Thats pretty impressive. We contacted Jerrod who familiarized himself with our work order and followed up with us as the repairs progressed. He was extremely helpful in filing our second party warranty claim and working with the warranty company to ensure everything was covered. These guys made our experience smooth and pleasant and provided great service!

Found a truck online and texted dealer about it. Adrian was quick to respond and answer all the questions I had. Had a truck to trade so made the 17hr drive from California to Lubbock. Truck had a sunroof issue caught during inspection. While they were waiting on delayed part they put us up in a nice hotel. Ended up staying 7 days due to the delay on receiving the part. Gene Messer covered our whole stay and gave us a loner vehicle to get around. Have traded many vehicles over a distance online to find the best deal. The guys at Gene Messer took great care of us and made sure our unexpected stay was comfortable. Best customer service Ive seen in todays world! Found out the only tech that could work on my hybrid truck was on vacation and they wouldnt tell me that. FORD customer service contacted them and thats how I found out. I set up an appointment to test drive a truck about 36 hrs in advance. I told the salesman how important it was to me because I had been looking for this exact truck for about 3 years. He told me that he would get it ready and contact me the day I was supposed to look at it but he never did. I finally called him (after about 9 attempts to get through because nobody apparently answers the phone here) and reminded him of our appointment 2 hours in advance. When I got there, I had to wait on him because he couldnt find the truck. Then when he finally gets to me, he tells me that the mechanic locked the truck keys in his toolbox and had left for the day. I told him that it was my only day off for 2 weeks and he just said sorry there was nothing he could do. Completely unprepared and ridiculous. This is just an bad service.

This place does tend to advertise cheaper prices for buying new cars, but save yourself some grief and pay the extra grand or two somewhere else. Apologies for the length below, but the bottom line is they seemingly deceive customers with features and prices, and then stop dealing with you after youve bought the car.Overall experience was seemingly okay day of. I bought a new 2020 F-150 at the end of last year. I texted a lot with my salesperson before hand, and was trying to decide between 3 different trucks. Eventually we found a truck and price we/his boss could agree on. I drove 3 hours to do the paperwork and take the truck home.I showed up, and the truck was parked in a show lane of sorts with the window sticker removed, and with extra features added that no online pictures showed, and were not fully discussed to include a window tint, different mats, foot rails, and a spray-in bed liner. This obviously increased the price. Also, there was a noticable dent on the front hood that wasnt in any pictures and had no knowledge of until I got there. I It felt like they were a bit harsh on my trade-in vehicle, but cited mechanical problems that I had no knowledge of. They offered $500 off for the dent, but I negotiated to have the dent repaired locally in my city organized by a repair shop of their choice and was included in the contract.Eventually made it through the sales piece and the finance piece, because to get the advertised price, you have to finance through them. I took the truck home that night in relatively good spirits. A repair shop reached out once to schedule a date, but their openings were during a holiday Id be out of town, so I told them Id call them back. When I did, they had no knowledge of any agreement to repair a dent, and wanted a dealership contact which I didnt have to confirm. I went looking through my contract, which took a few weeks and some prompting to arrive for whatever reason, and the page with services owed had been removed. So I still have a dent in my hood.My biggest issue though, is the axle ratio. I was specifically looking for a truck with over 12,000 lbs towing capacity, and needed a 3.55 axle ratio to do that comfortably. The salesperson confirmed multiple times that my truck was equipped to do that via text and in person, and even told me I was lucky to have a 20 wheel because that supports the higher towing. I eventually found the window sticker under the a seat weeks later and noticed that it said 3.31 for the ratio which would drop my capacity under my threshold, but despite reaching out multiple times over the last several months, Ive been getting no reply. I have other small complaints too, like the lack of a brake controller on a truck with a towing package, but they are minor and not worth going in depth on.So all that said, they act pretty friendly and my actual experience there was fine enough, but I regret having bought through them. Id recommend going somewhere else if youre able.September Update:Have called the number referred below twice and been told the manager was unavailable. Ive left my phone number but received no return call. I still havent had the dent repaired.

My 5 star review is not for the service but the way my problems were handled. I had an appointment at 1:45pm for a fuel filter change on a 2008 F250 with the V8 6.4L turbo diesel. After 1hr of waiting it finally got pulled into the shop and the mechanics began working on it (2:40pm now). Now heres where the problems start... 1hr later (when they should be done with it... 3:40pm) I get told that they didnt have any of my fuel filters in stock and had to send someone to another location to retrieve them. What were they doing for that 1hr without any filters? Your guess is as good as mine. So being freezing cold and frustrated I asked to talk with whoever over sees the workshop. I wish I remembered his name but I cant. He was asked to come speak with me and within 1min he pulled me into his office where we discussed what was going on. Now heres where the 5 star review comes in. On that day the parts manager wasnt in and it wouldve been so easy to throw all the blame on him and say oh our parts manager is not here so we had no idea that the parts werent here and it took the parts guys an hour to tell us that they didnt have any filters. But instead he took full responsibility for the breakdown and explained to me that both sides had a slip in judgment where things certainly shouldve been resolved faster. I went into this fuming and after our conversation was extremely satisfied with the way things were handled as he in no way took things as a personal offense and was all ears the whole time. This is a very very impressive thing when it comes to dealing with customers and shows that he is probably a great person to work for as he also expressed how much he highly regarded all of his mechanics. If the owner of this location reads this I know you have too much going on to be in every customer interaction and know every employee. But as a manager in training myself, this man is who I strive to be as a leader and boss. Very excellent people skills and a very impressive knowledge of the company and processes. For my lazy butt to leave a review the performance is either so bad its laughable or in this case someone that I think is under appreciated for his level of care for the customer.

Gene Messer did a fantastic job of taking care of me. After I did my research, I test drove my choice at another dealership but they could not get the exact version I wanted. After going on to Gene Messer’s website, I found the exact vehicle with all the extras I wanted. Have had two different vehicles in, in the last two weeks. One for maintenance and the other for warranty repair. The maintenance was finished in an hour. The warranty repairs were finished a day earlier than expected. Glad to have a good experience with a dealership. I was surprised my oil change was 1/2 the price of the chain oil chain places I’ve been going. Will be going back for oil changes again.

To the dealership - PLEASE OWN YOUR MISTAKES! TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!!I had given my 15 Mustang(Manual transmission) for service maintenance yesterday and the technician/ service guy who parked my car in their parking lot had left it in 1st gear. After I paid for the service, got back to my car, turned it on and was looking around the car and let go my leg from the clutch. Only to realize that the car was left in 1st gear. The car jumped and hit a pole in front. I hadnt even removed the parking break. My front bumper is damaged. There is a dent and the bumper came out a little.I spoke to the service manager and was told that I would have to take it to my insurance and get it fixed. No one was even concerned at all. They were not open to take up any responsibility. I spoke to their body shop guys and the service guys and even requested to share the amount. I explicitly asked if they could at least cover labor charges and I would pay only for the parts. They were not open to that as well.And if they are this careless about their customers during these uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I can only imagine how they would respond during normal timesI am never going back to them!

Update: Had to replace tires and battery with the first month. 3 bald tires and a faulty battery!Go to a better place!!Walked in with a pre approval from my bank. Walked out with three hits to my credit. Never once I said to look at my credit or try to get me a better deal. I wanted to use my bank, Because Im a student, Im still building credit. I asked so many questions to make sure this didnt occur & they still did it without my consent. The man Hector Olivias in financial.. dont do your paperwork with him. He will be somewhat explanatory until you make it clear you dont want his warranty and you would be lucky to a get a few words from him after that. Ultimately that car has has all the requirements from the bank. When I noticed what they did I went back. The Director of financial Michael, honestly didnt want to fix the mistake. He realized I was a first time buyer and was willing to go over the paperwork with me again. The whole time he kept saying the credit inquiries were just a miscommunication HOW?? I was there for hours they did it on purpose. Received no apology or our mistake.

Pretty dang disappointed in this dealership as I drove 2.5hrs to buy a “CLEAN” raptor but after seeing it in person it was far from clean. If I could post pictures I would but there was a fist size hole in the front fender, both front windows didn’t work and where covered in sticky film, the passenger mirror was busted and the front end was so loose I didn’t drive it more than around the block. Then after all this they offered $1500 less than what I was told I’d get for my trade, all that being said request more detailed info before wasting your time with this dealership.

I’m not sure why my previous post was deleted but I’m reposting. If I could rate ZERO stars I would. I have been to this dealership twice for repairs since I moved here a year ago. First time they “fixed” the first issue I had window malfunction on my trip home to Houston the same week. Took it in for a repair and Houston solved the issue. Here I am again with another issue that has been fixed here twice within four months and it’s still not resolved. I’m out hundreds of dollars and the issue isn’t fixed. I will be going elsewhere to have the problem diagnosed. After I get diagnosis I will be contacting Ford customer service directly. Save yourself grief and go elsewhere!

My wife and i offered them $18,500, plus TT&L for a 2013 Chevy Tahoe LT. They did not accept the offer. The suv is listed for $21,040. Ashley came back and told us they could sell the suv for $20,040. Plus TT&L. We told Ashley we would take some time to think about it. We left. Some time later we offered them $19,000. Plus TT&L. They did not accept. We then offered $19,500 plus TT&L and they still didnt accept. Ashley told us that was $2,000 under the market value. Therefore, i was curious and looked up the value on NADA. He told us previously NADA was what banks and dealers use. It turns out the value of the Chevy Tahoe LT is $16,825 if you do a clean trade-in. Its worth $20,200 if you decide to do a clean retail. I dont understand how an offer for $19,500 is $2,000 below the market value. I believe they are deceitful. I also believe they get paid commissions on financing. We told them we would be paying in cash. They can choose not to accept our offer. We are okay with that. Wed like to share our story on how they treat you if you actually do your homework and are not wanting to overpay on a used suv. I will attach the listing of the car and the NADA value if i can.

It has now been over a week since my son brought his truck into this dealership, and we are still waiting for it to get repaired. First it took them two days to confirm the warranty issue, then another couple days to get the parts ordered. Now the parts are there, anytime you call to get a eta on when the repair will be finished, it is another day out. The last response was Probably tomorrow. I have yet to speak with anyone at this dealership who sounds like they have any idea of what is going on. I have left a message for the service manager, we will see if he can actually figure out when we can get this truck back. I am in Dallas, my son is a student at Tech, finished with classes, and now waiting on this dealership to get around to his truck so he can come home. Such a shame to have zero care for your customers. I will also be taking this truck to my service tech here, in Dallas, to go over what was done, I have zero confidence they have any idea what they are doing.

This was the first time I’ve gone myself taking my car to a dealership. In my head I’m thinking oh geez I’m going to get bamboozled into paying for things I don’t want and yadda yadda. Well this whole experience was the opposite. Heather greeted me with a smile and helped me get my car into the shop in less than 30 minutes. (Make an appointment online) They sent text updates and let me know exactly what was wrong with my car via a website. This website allowed me to see cost up front and how much else needed to be fixed with the car. You then can choose if you’d like to do the extra work another day. My car was then ready next day in the morning. Picked it up and paid with no issue. Many thanks to the wonderful staff who made my first experience so painless!
