We had someone back into our jeep and needed it fixed asap. Chris Roger’s at Gene Messer Collision Center handled everything from start to finish in a very fast and professional matter. We dropped it off for repairs and less than 48 hours later we had it back and looking as good as new! Definitely will be going back to him for future issues if the need ever arises. We will be recommending Chris to all our friends and family and that’s a fact, thank you Chris!!

The people we spoke with were all very nice. However it was supposed to be ready by Friday though and wasnt ready until Wednesday the following week. Communication regarding the status of the job was poor. Even the app to check wasnt very updated. I think ours wasnt started until day 3 that we had dropped it off. We had scheduled the appt and when we dropped off they were surprised. Weds after we dropped off is when I started receiving text alerts. We would have rescheduled had we known that as we were borrowing another persons car in the meantime. When we finally spoke with someone about it Monday or Tuesday the next week they did tell us that it wasnt done well the first time so they were fixing it to be done right. Of course I appreciate that and want it done right. For the cost and the time it took I should have gone somewhere else. But I thought they would be the best place to do it. Overall the staff is friendly. Just please work on communicating to people and giving accurate time frames. Also if youre going to take that long maybe you should offer rentals for your delay.

I just cant thank you enough. After researching for a body shop in Lubbock - I sent my daughter into you (shes in college there) to get some damage looked at that happened to her car over night at Tech. We had an idea what a repair might cost... but Chris R took care of her and went above and beyond to help her. He was so patient and thoughtful and saved her so much money and I just cant tell you what that means to this momma whose daughter is so far away from home. Every now and then we meet a good person, genuinely good, who cares about others - and Gene Messer Collision Center auto shop definitely employs just such a person. Horrible terrible excuse for a body shop. Definitely did not recommend and will never return! Vehicle was not fixed as promised with the parts as promised!! I highly do not recommend this location!! It really doesn’t deserve a store at all but just to complete the survey you have to select at least one.

It was horrible experience. My car has glass damage and glasses were all over the interior of the car. They supposed to clean the car perfectly, however still there glass pieces inside the car. They did not clean the car after repairing. I would not recommend anyone to do business with them.

Where to start... Today is 4 months from the day of my accident and I still do not have my vehicle back. I was told originally that it would be 36 days.. My initial estimate was about 22.5 k, it has ballooned to almost 40k. On the day my vehicle was supposed to be finished (July 3) I get this link for a survey and no vehicle. I went last week and personally inquired about my vehicle. The repairs looked good, but an employee had stolen my registration sticker from my windshield. As of today (07-19) they are waiting on approval of a clockwork spring for the airbag from my insurance. The one that was purchased did not work. Why my insurance needs to pay for a faulty part instead of the vendor providing it is beyond me...My family has purchased several vehicles from Gene Messer over the years. No longer. Gene Messer has proved that it is a sub par dealership for anything after the sale. They can not be counted on to honor warranty work and service after the sale.

Gene Messer Body Shop did a great job on our little car. They ordered the part and painted it first so we could continue using our car. When the part was ready, they called us, we took the car in, and it was ready that same day! We were impressed! They did an expert job, too, which is why we ALWAWS go to Gene Messer Body Shop…they are the best!

Not impressed with customer service, give the go around for everything and now my vehicle is at another shop to match the paint job that was not matched here. Pearl white body and bumper white. Will not be returning at all to this place. Good paint job just paint is white not pearl like the original.

In January I went here for an oil change and to order a small part for my car. After telling them three times I didn’t want my coolant changed, they changed it anyways and charged me $90 for it. After waiting a month to hear about the part, I called and they had not taken it to the shop to be painted. After straightening this out, I was told it would be painted and they would call me when it was done. Finally at the end of APRIL, I was tired of waiting. I called again and was told they sold the part to someone else. This time, they got the piece ordered and painted in 2 days.

I have had my vehicle back for about 5 days now so I waited to write this review. And upfront if it was not for Daniel the estimator who I was in contact with during the repairs, they would not have even gotten 2 stars.I took in an Audi Q7 S line plus with the extra wheel trim to get a passenger rear quarter repair. There were delays for the body shop ruining the rear quarter window by cutting the antenna wiring that is built in, so a new one needed ordered. An uneffected trim piece being broken by the shop and having to get ordered as well as a quarter trim.I paid extra for the all the wheels to be refinished since one needed done. The wheel color looks great but the weights were removed even though the backside of the wheels were not refinished. The wheels were not rebalanced, unsure why they were even removed if the backside wasnt part of the refacing process.When picking up the vehicle was slightly dusty and the interior parts that were worked on were not properly cleaned. The dust hid scratch marks that appear to be made while either taken the rear quarter glass out and/or back in, some marks worse than others. The main window surround was not even put back into place. And it appears someone tried to hide some scratches with black spray paint not realizing that would show with the trim back in place.The vehicle needed to be jump started when we picked it up which I attributed to the lights being left on or soemthing. After having it a few days I am now realizing that it is a rear tailgate sensor issue that show it is not shut then probably slowly wears on the battery. A sensor which also affects the backup camera sensors. The interior trim around that section was not even pushed back into the rubber surrounds so maybe I can fix that myself when I have time and the sensor will perform as it should.The shop manager shod be ashamed of himself for the fit and finish quality they are producing. Do not believe the quality rating on Google unless you do not have an eye for details. I am not happy at all. If working on an Audi was that hard they should have rejected my vehicle.This is for others to read, please do not ask me how we could make this right unless you would like to pay another body shop to fix your work, I would be a fool to return to have repairs done just to have more repairs as a result.Again thanks to Daniel, the only bright light I seen at this facility.

Por quality control and attention to detail. After waiting for 2 months to have my car repaired I was told the car was ready but when I went to pick it it up I found it to be scratched, a wheel that was supposed to be replaced was not, doors and steering wheel were not assembled correctly, screws were missing from the fender and it was super dirty. After that it took two more weeks before they fixed it and after driving home I had to take it to Toyota of Dallas to get the 360 cameras calibrated and found that a panel behind the front left wheel was not put back on.

The collision repairs completed on our VW Atlas were found in satisfactory condition. However, customer service definitely needs improvement. We were told 1.5 weeks. Ended up being nearly 4 weeks. We were not updated on the state of the car—my husband had to call for updates.When we finally went to pick up the car, the back seat had still not been fixed. Thank goodness it was an easy fix, as we were getting ready to head out of town for the week. The front assist light still comes on, however, and we will have to take the car back to have it checked out.While waiting in the office, it was obvious that staff were ignoring other people’s calls and pretending that this one person was not office, when he was.We told them that they had received a check from insurance that we needed to sign over to them. No one seemed to know anything about it.One week later, we receive a call asking us to come in and sign this check that we had already asked them about. It is frustrating because now another trip must be made to Lubbock due to staff being unorganized.We are happy with the repairs on the car, thank goodness, but customer service could be way better.

They didnt take the time to double check the work performed which caused me extra time. One part to be replaced wasnt installed, the excuse was that it was not on stock (after being told they had it available). Nobody bothered to tell me about that, I had to check myself; even my service advisor was confused and wondered why it wasnt installed. Poor communication, poor quality, fast sliding of your credit/debit card.

I used this place for bodywork of my new vehicle after damage to the driver side doors after a minor accident. Even though, I try to find some nice things to say about this place related to my business, I couldnt come up with based on my very bad experience. Firstly, they took very long time to fix it. They were always changing the time line of expected date of finishing the work on vehicle and often notified vey late about the change.Secondly, when they finally notified me that the repair work had been completed and my vehicle was ready to get picked, it was horribly done. They said they chainge the new doors but the alignment was awfully bad. And when I complained them about that they just hastly tried fix and said it was fixed with impression that not a big deal. But again there was problem in another area. Finally manager came and told me I have to wait until monday next week as their technician is gone. And he gave hos business card. But next week, they didnt notify me whats going on, the manager was unwilling to talk. They didnt return my call and didnt let me know where my vehicle was ready or not. When I went there just to check, one employee just with very haughty gesture handed me the key.It was very unpleasant experience with a lot of hassles. Based on my experience I am finding very hard to recommend this place to other. My guess is there must be other better places in Lubbock

I received frequent updates on the status of my car and was informed about all the repairs in an understandable manner for one who doesn’t know much about cars! After having my car in the shop for 2 months, I got my car back. My car was not fixed in the proper manner. Paint job was noticeably not correct. The trim on my car was ruined by “detail” people and yet Gene Messer failed to let me know if this infraction. The whole car was not cared for during the time at Gene Messer Collision Center. After a week, I returned my car to Gene Messer for correction which took another month. I had the service manager for a rental because it was their errors as to why I didn’t have my car. Just a bad experience.

Dropped my car off here to get some work done on the front of my car. My estimator, Alex, was excellent in working to keep me up to date on what was going on from start to finish. There was a point of confusion where I was told repairs would be done a week before they were finished, but I’m sure this was the result of extenuating circumstances. After picking up my car I was extremely impressed with the cleaning this team did, on the outside and inside of my vehicle. Overall I’m very satisfied with my experience and recommend that you come here if you ever need vehicle work done.

I recently took both of my vehicles to Gene Messer Collision for hail repair. Anjela took care of one and Daniel took care of the other. I was very pleased with all of the service and work that was done.I was updated through text and with phone calls on the progress of my repairs. I really appreciated this knowing that it’s hail season and it can take 30-60 days to finish the work. I was explained this when I dropped my vehicle off and signed a paper stating this.I will not hesitate to bring my cars to Daniel and/or Anjela in the future. Thank you!

This rating gets a second star for Clay. If I were rating just him and the work he did, he’d get 5 stars.But when I first went in there, I was quoted $2,100 for the work I needed by someone else. I then went to the Kia dealer where they then quoted me $1,100. When I said okay to them, I set two appointments and both times they weren’t ready to do the work. So, I worked through the departments, had each one do the work they should have been doing.When all was said and done, I ended up in the collision center, with the same department that quoted me $2,100, for the same work, and the total cost was just under $1,000.It would make sense to think that they charge an extra $1000 to make their departments talk to each other, but that’s a big problem. The hand doesn’t talk to the other hand. In some cases, they’re only an office away from each other. In other cases, they’re only a desk away. There is no synchronization and they are obviously overcharging.

Worst experience ever. If I could leave no stars I would. I kept getting ridiculous reasons why my vehicle wasn’t ready. Approximately 5 weeks later they told me it would be ready the end of the week. I told them three different times I would be there at 9:00 on Saturday to have it ready to go. It wasn’t !! Vehicle still needed buffed and the A/C wasn’t working. It had to be driven to Oklahoma without A/C. They are not professional at all. I can not recommend them at all. Stay away.

It is a rare case that car nearly totalled can be repaired to the point that you can not tell it has been in an accident. I am glad to say that not only did Gene Messer Collision exceed my expectations but we actually get better gas mileage now than before the accident.In a word, outstanding workmanship with incredible attention to detail.

Back in December 2019, my husband was rear ended and our Sorento was damaged in the back hatch. We took it Gene Messer to get an estimate on the damage. We went thru the other persons insurance company to get it fixed. They covered it 100% to get it fixed. Shell Bucher kept us informed every week while they was working on the damage. When they seen that we had some unknown damage, Shelly would call us to let us know what going on. When the car was completed they washed the car and returned it to us. The car looks like it has never been hit. It looks amazing. Between buying our Kia, the service department, and the collision department, I wont buy from anyone else. I will go back to Gene Messer Kia and buy another car.

They quoted me 30-60 days, it took 91. I guess you cant rush these things so whatever. Picked up the car, and whoever put it together was obviously not the person that put it back together. Ive spent an additional $300 out of my pocket so far to replace clips they didnt thing needed to go back in, trim pieces that were damaged, my radio bezel, and a grab handle. The car didnt start when I got there, the overhead lights werent working, one of the doors intermittently works/unlocks, I still havent figured out how to make my rear defroster work, and I have no clue how I am going to get all the black finger prints off my white cloth ceiling. The car is two years old, but might as well be ten really. There are paint chips above one of the doors close to the roof as well so I cant really say the paint was great either. They billed the insurance company for about 13k, and the work was unfortunately pretty bad. They never called me for updates when they said they would. I had to take the initiative to keep myself in the loop. Maybe I just got unlucky this time around, who knows?

I took my vehicle in to the collision center traveling to while traveling from south Texas - Denver CO had a little accident left my vehicle to pick it up a week later. I traveled to pick up my vehicle cause they said they would charge 35.00 per day (understood) I re arrange my schedule to travel 8hrs to pick it up and it wasn’t ready like they said it was..I ended up staying one day . When driving off their location “after it was ready” there was no fluids in my vehicle the engine light cam on my hood was shiftedWhile the gentleman that helped said they would take care of it they were to set up an appt here at my local ford dealership and a week and a half later I still haven’t heard from them. I’ve constantly been calling them. I would not recommend this place to anyone not a very pleasant experience

I recently got into an accident and as soon as I noticed damage I took it directly to Gene Messer Ford Body Shop on 19th right across from Gene Messer Toyota. I talk to Eric and he helped us out with our truck with no issues. Eric kept us updated with pictures, process, and progress. Eric’s communication was amazing not only that we didn’t have to do anything he handled it all and kept his promise on what day to pick up. Eric was very sympathetic and caring about what we were going through. If I needed any work on any other car or another accident we’re to happen if definitely go back there to them. I would highly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere for service of any kind. My car was in the shop for over 2 weeks and NOBODY called to give updates on the progress. The customer shouldnt have to responsible for getting in contact with the service representatives. After my vehicle was finally finished, no one cared to clean up the mess and dirt left behind. Truly disrespectful and unprofessional to return my property in worse condition than when I dropped it off.

Car looks absolutely perfect, like it was never involved in an accident. VERY fast service & was cleaned and detailed inside and out. When I went to pick my car up they even covered up tiny scratches from door dings and other things and I didnt have to ask. Brought our car here after getting hit in a parking lot. The body work looks good as far as we can tell. The customer service from Eric left something to be desired. He was unable to fulfill his commitments on his time line with giving us our original quote for the insurance also on the time line for the cars completion. He also said he would send text message updates daily and he had our car for over a week and only sent updates on the last day to an incorrect number. I then had to call to figure out when my vehicle was going to be ready as he had not been giving updates. I will not be bringing my car back here for any other services due to his lack of customer service.

My truck was at the collison center for eleven days. In all that time, my service advisor, Eric, failed to contact me until the last day when he informed me that my vehicle was ready. Cheryl, the receptionist, was my only contact and she was always helpful and if she could not answer my question right away, she always called back. Perhaps Gene Messer should switch these two people? Merely a suggestion, of course.On the other hand, the work completed on my truck looks excellent and I couldnt be happier with the results.

I honestly put down a low rating because of the way I felt I was being treated. I talked to Eric, in which I believe he is the reason why the rating changed.
