My friend suggested I go here to get one of my axles replaced. I stopped by and chatted with Mike. He gave me the price and when hed be available to take in my car. Went in a few days later and he did a great job. Very knowledgeable and the price was right. I know where Ill be bringing my car next time it needs work. I definitely recommend here if you need work done to your vehicle. Bus/train station right across the street. Perfect.

My wife and I were referred to Mike @ Lowell AutoService by the Lowell Police Department. We were new the area a number of years ago and needed to find an honest. reliable mechanic who could take care of my Chevrolet and my wifes 20+ Year Old Jags (her babies). Mike fit the bill. During these years, Mike has always treated us fairly, never overcharged us and always communicated with us before he did anything that varied off of what he/I agreed needed to be done at a set price. If I needed a ride home, hed let me know when he had a guy in the shop that could drive me there (about 2.5 miles away) so I didnt get stuck in the waiting room. When the job was done, either my wife (or I) would drive the other down to Mikes place to pick up the cars. So far, after >5 years, theres never been a repair job that didnt come back fixed. Or if the cost of repair didnt make economic sense, Mike would be honest and tell us. That, in itself, was worth his weight in gold bars (just kidding). I strongly recommend Mike and his crew for any repair job on practically any vehicle out there. Hes that good.....!

I had an excessive inner tread wear of front tires, needed an immediate tire change. Not only they changed the tires in just 2 hours but explained the reason of this excessive wear and checked the condition of my car overall. Thank you Mike! I will definitely return here again.

Went in for a sticker and my windshield had a crack. Instead of failing me he set me up with Riverside glass who were also fantastic and fast.When I came back he rushed me in and did the inspection right away even though he was very busy.Great guy and great service!

This review is soo overdue. But its about time. Ive been coming to Lowell Auto for about 4 years, through 3 vehicles. Ive owned used cars for 15 years of my life so Ive seen a good number of shops, and Ive NEVER experienced the level of service, friendliness, care and honesty that Ive seen at this place. AND at excellent prices, so good Ive offered to pay more on occasion, and they always refused. Never mind this low star ratings, I have complete confidence they were in the wrong and were pissed they didnt get what they wanted. These guys are not like that, theyre top notch and want continued business from loyal customers who they treat right. 10/10 will always recommend .

Worst customer service ever. Staff is very rude and disrespectful. I Went for inspection it was failed because of airbag, I fixed it and brought it back he try to fail the inspection again, saying that my parking break is not working which passed at the first time. The break was working fine before I brought it in there. He also offered me to fix it if I leave it there. I will never go here again and advice people to be careful before you go to this place.

Michael Isaak and his team have been taking care of both of my cars since the day I bought them used over seven years ago. Lowell Auto Service has ensured they have always gotten me to where Im going--reliable like new to this day. They are currently 17 years old (VW Passat) and 16 years old (Honda S2000) and they both remain in top condition. The mechanics there have always gone the extra mile for me. A rough idle situation that was beyond a VW dealers ability to diagnose was what brought me to Lowell Auto Service in the first place, and Michaels team had it sorted and resolved with a day. (Vacuum lines on VWs are a labyrinth deftly solved via a little smoke through the system--at least if you understand engines and the trick). I cant list all the kindnesses and economical service solutions LAS have provided to me and the friends I have referred there for these past 7 years. Even the referral Michael gave me for body work (Vans!) for my mothers car has been beyond outstanding. I wont ever go anywhere else. Best ever.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST SHOP IN THE AREAIve actually had 2 bad experiences from Lowell Auto.1) One year ago to look at a used auto. An Acura TL. The car was used so the condition was understandable, but the asking price in relation to the condition of the car was very high priced. It had multiple check engine alerts, and the exterior paint was completely ruined. The same car was $1000s cheaper in a few used auto shops in the area, in better condition. (I looked at 5, and bought one)2) Last month I decided to take the car I bought from the OTHER dealership to Lowell Auto to get a sticker. I failed, because the emergency brake wasnt working. They convinced me to get it fixed right at the shop, and I agreed. 4 hours later they called me to pick it up.They did pass my inspection, but the emergency brake still wasnt working. After they took $250 from me to fix the problem. I told them that it felt exactly the same as it was when I brought it, and they THEN told me that they couldnt figure it out, but replaced the parts. I demanded my money back, and they refused.I then went to the Acura dealership, and they determined that nothing was replaced. That the brakes, and the mechanism that needed replacement was the original from when I bought the car. They either put old parts and charged me for new parts OR didnt change anything.I went back to show them my findings from the dealership, and they completely denied the accusations of the repair.Save yourself the time and money. Stay away from this place.

I had such a pleasant experience here. Usually mechanics are somewhat condescending and annoyed that I dont know much about cars but Mike was incredibly helpful and thoroughly explained everything that needed to get fixed on my Volvo, how much it would cost, and gave me lots of tips on maintenence. He was also very honest when my fiancé brought his Honda Civic in and told him it wasnt worth repairing. Not the best news to hear but he couldve easily taken our money and made repairs anyways. Instead, he helped my fiancé learn about the process for applying for a car loan (which weve never done before) and talked at length about what type of car would suit his lifestyle best, as he drives a lot for work. Overall, I left feeling like my car was safe to drive, I understood what to look out for to avoid any other costly repairs in the future, and in a good mood because Mike is a nice guy! 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
