The owner was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The only original store in the mall from when the mall first opened! Definitely a spot to pop into, even if its just for the smells!

Decided to stop in when I was passing through Louisville to see if I could find some unique cigars or something I havent tried yet. Left with 5 and the nice lady running the place was kind and knowledgeable. She even let me in the shop early so I wouldnt have to stand outside for another 20 minutes waiting for the shop to open. Prices are fair and they have a good selection. Check them out!

The guy was really nice. I explained that I was brand new to the cigar community and that I completely butchered my first cigar unknowingly. I explained my wants in regards to flavor and how I wanted start of with something mild in regards to strength and body. He gave great suggestions and also, a great suggestion of a medium strength and bodied cigar for whenever I chose to go higher. Great place. Great customer service. The place has been around ever since I was a kid growing up. Definitely gonna be my go to cigar shop!

The shop is great for pipe smokers. As long as you don’t have to deal with the owner, the staff is kind and knowledgeable.

I recently got back into cigars after a 25 year hiatus. I went back to my old favorite haunt today. J. Paul was still there. I bought my fist box of Macanudo’s there in 93 for a friends wedding. J. Paul was so helpful then as I wanted something special and he took the time to guide me. He even gave me a good discount when he found out what they were for. It was great to go back in today and see things haven’t changed!! Except the selections today are much improved and varied. I’ll be frequenting often. You should give them a try. His knowledge is unsurpassed and just as friendly as ever. If you are looking for something special, they have it!!!! It’s comforting to know a business hasn’t changed in all these years and still gives excellent customer service!!!

I have never met someone so rude and unhelpful in my life. Upon entry to the shop he was rude when we asked for a humidifier. Gave us the “beginner” sample and was extremely condescending when he showed us the way overpriced humidifying bar. My boyfriend was trying to explain what he was looking for when the owner looked at me and said “is this your boyfriend? I’m sorry.” Totally unacceptable. He then got mad when we tried to leave empty handed due to his behavior and over priced products. This guy needs therapy and a lesson in customer service. I will pray for his wife and anyone else in a 10ft vicinity.

I started going to Oxmoor Smokes in 2014. J Paul, the owner, and his staff are the most friendly and knowledgeable smoke shop I believe in Kentucky.If you are a beginner to a seasoned cigar smoker they have something for you.J Paul will bring in different events with cigar companies throughout the year.

What can I say. One of the rudest people I have ever met. Bought over a hundred dollars in cigars. Cigars were overpriced to begin with, then owner tries to over charge on top of that and gets mad at me when I call him on it.

With the guidance from the expert staff I was able to look around more informed. I felt very welcomed and invited.I was only overwhelmed until I asked for help, so just ask! To the gentleman who said he has never been treated so rudely, I regret this occurred. I travel thru Louisville 6-8 times a year and go 15 minutes out of my way every time to shop at Oxmoor Smoke Shoppe. The owner and his wife are just fantastic. As a kid who raised tobacco and who was in the leaf side of the business for years, these folks know their stuff, have great products and are so knowledgeable about the real reasons a “cigar is a cigar” that I place this store top of my list of stores I have visited around the world. I can only speak from my experience, even a non smoker gets treated like a celebrity at this truly a cigar connesseur ‘s paradise.

Wow so rude! I just called to ask if they carry something and I hadn’t even named what it was and he cut me off and said “nope! Don’t carry those!” I replied, “Um ok... you didn’t even listen to what I was trying to ask but ok. You’re rude “ and hung up. He didn’t care what I wanted to ask just didn’t want to be on the phone. Oxmoor Smoke Shoppe always has my favorite Padron cigars on hand with boxes in overstock. I never have to worry about running out of cigars when I travel to Louisville. The guys are very knowledgeable with great suggestions for me and know what I like.

The owner is a grumpy old man.All he wanted to do is boast about how he is the only shop in town who has xyz but when I asked for Fuente 77 shark he says I carry them all yeah but I am not going to sell it to you. In shock I asked why he said because he carries all the other Anejo and all you guys come in here looking for the shark and there is no reason His exact words up to this point. Then he said if I buy a box then he would sell me one. I thought that was a little rude but no big deal.The I asked about a couple others and again he said what would make you think you are a good enough customer to get these cigars from here you are trying to cherry pick me.I told him I have been in here several times and even bought a over priced Peterson pipe on my last trip.I have never been treated so rudely by a shop owner in all my life. A simple not in stock answer would have been more professional. I will NEVER shop there again.
