Poor customer service unfortunately. I was there about 20 minutes ago shopping for vodka I saw that your Russian standard gold was on sale for 20 bucks. I grabbed 2 bottles instead of one. When I reached the counter the young lady informed me that they were 26.99 not 20. I told her there was a sign she radioed for an MOD and the MOD replied back that it was for the 750ml not the one I had gotten. Sadly at this point I knew they were going to take care of the customer so I told her to take 1 off.  It was at this point that the MOD arrived. And for God know what reason to explain to me how I was wrong?!?  I interrupted her and told her to just go away. Its 7 bucks. Im not going to get into it over that. This girl still didnt stop, she even wanted to show me a picture she took..  It wasnt about the size it was about the placement unfortunately you had in the wrong section own it.  I didnt tell her that though what I did tell her is why are you still standing here?  You standing here doesnt help the situation just go away. She still didnt and  Insisted that she was helping me.. from there I dismissed her again and the Icing on the cake is what every new retail manager does in a shitty situation. In the most sarcastic voice possible and overly exaggerated body gestures she wished me nothing but the best and she hopes that I have a wonderful day. I didnt catch her name, shes the little chunky redhead.  I hope I never have to shop at your establishment again. #7bucks

Staff at tasting area on 10/28/2021 around 5pm was extremely rude. We just asked if they had tasting for a certain burboun. We didnt think they would but thought wed ask. The gentleman quickly replied with, I bet you would and so would I as he continued to talk down to us. I personally wanted to put him in his place as hes there to help the customer. We walked away.. we proceeded back to the locked cabinet discussing our experience with the gentleman. I wanted to call him out or call upon store management. The female behind the counter with him turned her back and continued to gulp her little shots she was preparing as we walked up.In just a few minutes another gentleman approached us and politely helped, unlocked the cabinet and took our selection to the register.The store was well organized. A couple items werent in stock but that wasnt surprising. All other floor employees treated everyone respectfully and cashier was friendly and polite.That was our first visit and might be the last. We can continue to update and grow our personal collection in other establishments that doesnt look down or talk down to people.

THE MOST EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY! Quick story: This location is my preferred stop for spirits, and my 87lb bernedoodle, Beaumont, usually accompanies me. He loves the staff and they are so welcoming of him. Tonight, we stopped in, and Beaumont had some sort of outburst (he is usually very tamed in public) and he knocked over a wine display. My immediate reaction was to catch as many bottles as I can, which lead me to release Beau’s leash. A store associate grabbed Beau, I saved all but 3 bottles, and as associates and the manager came to help me, their immediate reactions were to ask if we were okay. As my immense apologies started to pour out, the staff kept repeating that I would not have to worry about the merchandise that was lost and tried to make sure that Beau and I were okay. Everyone was so nice and comforting and still provided great service for me as I shopped after the incident. Needless to say, Beau had an accident and Total Wine and Spirits made sure to take care of it, clean, provide great service, and make a customer still feel welcomed. I appreciate you all so much, and know that you definitely made Beau and I feel so much better for the situation. Thanks again!!

This merchant is Top Notch. There is every type, Brand, flavor, and any bar item and may even have a Bar for sale in there somewhere! 😆😅🤣. There are associates that will assist you in any way necessary or an individual requires to discover, choose, find, procure....... almost anything. If they are experiencing a busy check out, they simply reallocate employees to that demand and clear it up quickly. Everything here resembles perfect professionalism and attitude. This is a well run establishment and hands down one of, if not THE BEST in Louisville open to generally anyone that would be interested to experience an extraordinary liquor store on a mega scale.

Ever since liquor barn down sized this is my go to liquor store. Awesome selection. It was the only place I could find a certain liqueur I needed for my wedding. Usually if I need something that I cant find at Kroger this is my first stop and the only trip I need to make to pick it up.

Biggest variety of alcohol ive seen. I was able to get something for the bridesmaids party, scotch for the boyfriend, and nice bottle of wine for me

This is a great chain superstore for spirits and more. The selection is always top notch and the extras like cigars and glasses work well.What made me take a couple stars away is due to their recommendations. Its not often that anyone can tell me about whisky things that I dont know. Since I am from the UK, I know a lot about scotch whisky and also American whiskey.When sales people try to sell me young, mediocre whiskey for $70 - I immediately call them out. A four year bourbon for $70 that Ive never heard of? Taste tests proved that each recommendation they made as a farce. They push spirits that they are paid to promote or the ones that are marked up dramatically. Honestly, you guys tried to dupe me into buying a $70 bottle of 4 year bourbon that sucked when a 9 year old bottle I love is $40-$45.Dont let these amateurs push obscure young whiskey that tastes like rubbing alcohol with maple syrup mixed in. If they hype it up too much, its more than likely garbage.

I love this place. I typically stop in every time I travel through this area. The employees are smart and helpful and guide my to a great selection if by chance they dont have what I am looking for. They also have the cheapest prices compared to any other store I go to. Keep up the great work.

Total Wines is the best place to shop for Wines and Liquor and they have the cheapest prices with great customer service

While I shop here because of their very large inventory and very competitive pricing, I am not fond of their aggressive promotion on house brands and some recommendation tags on shelving. I understand the marketing behind their private labels and shelf tags but I have often been disappointed with the products themselves. On the other hand, the inventory is broad and their staff has always been helpful and their recommendations useful. The recent reset of the store has made it initially a little harder to find some items but that will resolve itself after subsequent visits.

I am from Ohio, we have state stores they are just getting into local business now space in them is very limited. I am always amazed the size of there stores and there wide selection. I am like a kid in a candy store. They came tru again I was getting Devils Backbone Vienna lager near me in Ohio everyone stopped carrying here. I stopped and sure enough they had it. Plus every one is always willing to help you and very friendly.

RUDEST COMPANY AND WORKERS. will never go back. refused to sell me alcohol despite me being 21 years old. The workers caused a big scene and involved other customers, do NOT go to this place

My first review 3 years ago was 2-1/2 stars.  My impressions have changed. Staff has been very helpful many times when Ive visited.  And Inventory issues are much improved over when they first opened.On the most recent visit, Hayden, who rang up my stuff, very carefully selected a box for my 1.5 liter gin and 8 1L bottles of Polar Tonic.  Highly recommend the Polar Tonic btw.  Its a great low end tonic. There are of course better but for way more dollars.Thanks to the front line staff for being there throughout the lockdown. Very much appreciate you !

Nice place, very clean. The staff was super helpful, knowledgeable, and nice. I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because they only had the small bottle of High West Campfire. Not a big deal because they still have a great selection.

Not from the area and wanted to buy some local beer. They have a whole section dedicated to local craft beer and the staff was very helpful. Plenty of bourbon to choose from, too, and the complementary wine samples while you shop were a post-Covid relief!

Total Wine has a great selection of French and Chianti wines at fabulous prices! I only wish there was one in or near Fern Creek, KY.

First time in as the only place in Louisville to carry a wine I fell in love with at disney. Clerk recommended a much less expensive bottle she said was really similar. Bought both. She was right on. Less expensive bottle is just as great. Thanks sooo much!

I had a quick liquor run today with my disabled veteran husband. They decided to scream masks at him eventhough I was wearing one and hes in a wheel chair. The manager told me that they have curbside service I said oh thats great and handed him my things to head outside to the curb. Then he hands me Everything back and tells me I have to do it online..... this place was not only insensitive to my husband disabilities but also as customers as a whole. They need sensitivity training in respecting not only wheelchair users but disabled people in general i will not be back.

What a selection and the customer service is excellent!

Long story short Doordash driver could not find my house to deliver large order we needed that evening (and I was unable to explain it to him due to language barrier) so he returned it to store and our order was cancelled. Store manager (Tye) went above and beyond and offered to deliver it himself. It arrived about an hour later just in time for our dinner. That’s good old fashioned customer service and much appreciated.

We got a great deal on ClearSpring, 190 Proof Grain Alcohol to use for any tinctures for soaps or creams made with medicinal herbal oils, but this was 26.99 for 1.75 liters and I found a 25.00 gift card on the ground, but this product is local to my home (nextdoor), Bardstown, KY. So today was great. Staff was really courteous, practicing social distancing, very clean, safe, and a great experience.

Excellent selection and I found Powers 3 Swallow release. If youre looking for Blantons, Weller, or Pappy its not here. But they have plenty other options like Bernheim wheat or Old Forester 1920 which are delicious.

Best place to buy wine and spirits by far. They have a wide selection of beer, wine, and spirits, while also offering some of the lowest prices in the area. I would easily drive an extra 10 minutes to purchase from total wine. Man it was comfortably cold in the store on a scorching 90 degree day. A welcome relief. What can I say. This place has every wine known to man and woman. It has a great beer selection as well. Of course. You can get singles of import beer which I heartily appreciate. Im not a cigar man so I didnt check out the cigar section but it looked nice. Theres specialty food items that looked pretty awesome. And of course party accessories. It looks nice inside too.

It was really nice and new and clean and big, but I really couldnt tell that big of a difference in the prices. Ok, yes the selection was bigger, but their way of displaying was too confusing. I had a hard time finding the Oregon wines mixed in amongst all the others.

Every time I go here, the staff is very knowledgeable. Yesterday, I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted. Amongst the wines, I saw they had many wines from the Biltmore estate. I remembered a wine I loved at the wine tasting I went to a couple years ago when I visited it in NC. An employee--who had already greeted me--was still by, so I asked him if he had the wine, a chenin blanc, and he happily led me to the section they could be found. He told me about the ones he had tried and informed me of another he hadnt, but explained the country it was made in typically made quality wine. I chose this one because I was feeling adventurous.I then proceeded to ask him where the sake selection was, which he led me to. (Most places point and expect for you to find it yourself, so I was impressed with his willingness to go above and beyond and show me himself.) He explained to me the different terms on the labels and spoke about the ones he liked and why. I appreciate that because someone elses experiences create a great sense of what to expect in a product.His name is John and was very affable and knowledgeable along with expressing an eagerness to help. The store is quite large and can seem overwhelming when you walk in, but knowing an employee like John is there to help is comforting.If you are looking for a wider variety than what your nearest liquor store (Kroger) can offer, with knowledgeable help when you need it, this is your place. Its seriously like a candy shop for adults. Oh, and I think they have candy too ;)
