I admired how he kept me amused. It was enthralling and knowledgeable. Aside from that, their coffee was excellent, with a nice aroma and a strong flavor. It was fantastic!

The White Cheddar Soft Scramble was delicious and the Cold Brew was yummy! 😋 They are super friendly and the coffee shop has a cool and modern vibe! And they offer a great variety of drinks and food. I can’t wait to try more items in their menu. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this place!

Spent $18 on a sandwich and iced latte when this guy walks in with two wet dogs. The cashier fed them near the kitchen after they walked passed me. I felt a hive on my leg since I’m allergic to dogs. I asked for a refund on the sandwich, Barista said he’s sorry that’s how I feel in a dgaf tone. He also said it was out of his control, so I left the coffee on the counter and walked out. If you can enforce a mask policy, you can enforce an animal policy.Why are wet dogs allowed in cafes where people eat and somehow I’m the problem?Gross.

Congratulations! I keep coming back because their coffee and cakes are so well priced and delicious. I still went to this coffee shop because I needed to take a break. I liked the location because it was both elegant and calming. They even easily serve my orders. It was the best experience Ive ever had!

Though I like drinks there, I am somewhat less than excited to get drinks there. The prices for same drink flex every time I get it. Not sure why. However, the drinks are super tasty, especially the blueberry matcha latte.

I had a great time at this coffee shop! I thought the atmosphere and setting were welcoming, humid, and friendly, and I appreciated the range of seating options. I really liked the separate room that could be used for groups. This coffee shop seemed to me to be a coffeehouse that caters to tourists who are trying to get work done, which I felt was commendable!

They make an excellent cappuccino and have some cool mugs. I also ordered an eggs Benedict sandwich which was worth the wait and was absolutely delicious. The have excellent staff and the service was impeccable.

We came here for coffee last week because we wanted to spend some time here. We enjoy talking over a cup of coffee. This location was chosen because it is one of the best coffee shops in the area. Maybe you think youre drinking hot chocolate because coffee is overshadowed by chocolate. Its definitely worth a shot!

She did a fantastic job with my hair. She really pays attention to what I want and gives me exactly what I want, and I am very satisfied with the outcome. This is my all-time favorite coffee shop! Both the coffee and the food were tasty and moderately priced. A very pleasant ambiance and a very comfortable atmosphere. This coffee shops barista was really good at producing the best-selling coffee. The other employees were very courteous and friendly. They had a really tasty slice of cake, great for matching.

Its because I love reading books over a cup of coffee that I always choose this place. For me, this is the best place. Ive had Blackwood Coffee Bar bookmarked for almost a year, but havent made time to swing by. I had a meeting and found the perfect opportunity to drop in. Huge fan of the décor, the space, location, and fantastic cold brew. Theres a nice selection of pastries as well. I didnt have the opportunity to try one, but theres always next time. While the space does look small from the outside, they have plenty of seating inside; along with outdoor seating.Street Metered parking in the area. However, no parking enforcement on Sundays. That why Ill be here on Sundays.Sidenote: Theyve already gone strawless, and have cute sippy cup type lids.

I got the morningwood which was a fantastic drink but I wanted to share a review regarding the wifi situation. I was passing through LA and stopped to do some early morning writing. After I ordered my drink I inquired about the wifi. The barista kindly informed me that there was no wifi and this was to discourage people from lingering for too long. As someone who goes to coffee shops all over the country I wanted to share my perspective. There is an assumption that people who post up at a coffee shop only spend $3 on a cheap drip coffee and spend 8 hours hogging your wifi. That is not always the case. Its not uncommon to find a digital nomad buying two drinks and a pastry during a 3-4 hour work session. The lack of wifi (and outlets) signals this is not a welcoming space for visitors.

Since I am a coffee lover, I had this favorite coffee shop for they offer great coffee at a reasonable price. I also like the ambiance because it makes me relax.

Very smooth coffee - the service was excellent and quick. Being on sunset you expect high prices but it was actually pretty normal for a latte and a americano. I would definitely come back.

What can I say? A lot I suppose since I’m writing a review. Well, so be it. Blackwood delivers the most consistently exquisite oat cappuccino this side of LaBrea (stretching alllllll the way down towards the Monica’s of Santa). Hands down. It’s become a go-to stop after Runyon. Smooth, balanced, perfect temperature, it’s consumed far quicker than I’d prefer. If their cappity caps are this consistent then I can’t help but think every dang item offered is just as excellent. And they have a second location soon to open even closer to home! Bless. Blackwood is your ideal neighborhood coffee shop. Its small, quaint and super chill. The space is narrow with indoor and outdoor seating and is decorated super cute. The outdoor seating is sprinkled with succulents and is set up with comfy chairs. Inside they have cozy seating and lots of little goodies to peruse through, my favorites being the cannabis confections. They offer flavorful coffee, yummy pastries and savory breakfast options. They also have a fridge with some breakfast items and drinks to go. Every single person that works here is so very kind and helpful. We loved our Latin cold brews and breakfast sandwiches. Im so thankful to have this gem in my neighborhood and will definitely be back.

The neighborhood coffee bar! The folks that work here are really nice and I love the ambience - it is a small space though and sometimes very crowded. If you go at just the right time during the day you can find a good spot. They open pretty early but then also close early. I have enjoyed many productive work days here and like taking friends over too. They started with only drinks but soon offered pastries and then select breakfast items as well. Love the hot chocolate here and the avocado toast as well. Highly recommended!

This is the cutest coffee shop! The coffee is pretty strong and the food is very tasty. It is a great place for a coffee meeting, brunch or even a date. The location is perfect and I have been obsessed ever since I stumbled upon it.

The ambience is nice. Service alright. Food looked good but we didnt get any. So this review is going to be more based on what we got which was thought to be freshly squeezed orange juice and iced coffee. Ice coffee was decent, different but not bad. The orange juice was awful and tasted like expired Tropicana juice.

Super good coffee. Love the outdoor seating where I can have my dog with me. First time there the manager, Ian Burnside, came by and offered breakfast suggestions. We had the avocado toast with egg. It was delicious. Went back the next day and had the same thing. Very clean, lovely decor, extra friendly staff. My new favorite!

Five stars for the coffee. The coffee here is excellent. I got an americano and the crema was on point. Flavor was full. Just awesome. The decor is modern and nice. Good amount of seating for a smaller sized cafe.The ordering experience wasnt very pleasant. The woman behind the counter just stared at me waiting for me to order. No hi, hello, or what can I get you? I waited for a moment for her to say something but she just gave me a look of order already, lady. It was actually pretty bizarre.

I love this little spot! Great place for a Sunday morning latte and breakfast sandwich. I had their tacos as well (I can’t remember which) and they were delicious! The one drawback is no public WiFi during “normal working” hours but they don’t have the capacity for people staying for hours on end. All in all, a must visit if you’re in the area!

Stopped by for a cup of joe after hiking Runyon Canyon. This spot was a quick walk from the main park entrance so it was nice to be able to walk without having to worry about parking. The staff was fast and friendly and the ambiance was nice and casual. Unfortunately, the coffee was underwhelming. I got a regular pour over and it wasnt very good. I drink coffee black btw so others who take it with cream and sugar may like it better.

This place is so cute, aesthetically pleasing & this specific location definitely gives a nostalgic, underground speakeasy kinda feel.

If I had to sum this place up it would have to be adult contemporary coffee. Basically what youd expect from a more boutique coffee place. Coffees. Espressos. Teas. Baked Goods. A few comfy chairs, tables, bench seating, a few outdoor seats. Bathroom was 4/4.5 out of 5.

Ive never been here before.

The cashier from the mornings of 1/11/18 and 1/12/18 was super nice! Hes the main reason I came back. The latte was luke warm and the coffee wasnt hot enough. However, the taste was good and the atmosphere is clean and cool. One size cups is nice and simple, but makes things slightly overpriced. The yogurt with fruit and granola was amazing! Id rather support a local/small company like this so Ill go back.

Pretty good coffee. Interesting combinations and drink choices. There is more of a mixed drink than a single orginin minimalist coffee focused kinda place. Comfy setting.

First time I stopped by here I tried their Lavender Honey Latté and it did not disappoint. I also tried their breakfast sandwich, which was also delicious. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and welcoming. My next visit I wanted to try something different so I got the Rose Cardamom Latté. While I am usually not a fan of roses in my food or drink it was a refreshing and tasty. Check this coffee shop out if you can.
