The bookstore is organized and has a lot of books to choose from. I went in looking for manga, and I found exactly what I was looking for. The staff there also helped me order a manga that wasn’t available in store. I also like how there’s a cafe inside.

LOVE IT!!! I got 4 movies for less than 20 dollars. We got books and other things...the membership is 25 per year, but I didnt think the deal was worth it, so I passed.

I asked an employee for a specific book. Her direction were very broad, somewhere at the upper level on the left side. After few minutes going up and down, left and right, I gave up. Amazon has it at a click of a button, Barnes & Noble! Your store has 3 levels, and thousands of books! Hire competent employees to help us navigate your store, show us that you appreciate our time, presence, and business. Very disappointed that I had to do business online with Amazon, because your employer was busy with something else, not me, the customer in front of her!

This Barnes and Noble is so fun to visit! Probably because of the 3 floors :) They have a good selection of vinyl records and the cookbook section is great! The employees are very helpful. Its cool that they have author appearances regularly too!

3 story bookstore. There’s a Starbucks coffee cafe inside with patio seating. It is open late. Great selection of books. The events here including book signings bring out a lot of people. The book signing guest are unique.

The Good & the Lackluster...Good:Beautiful location and a fun trip between the 3 floors! Right-most wall on the second floor (after exiting the escalators) has an AMAZING tarot section, pretty fun surprise!Lackluster:I had asked for help in finding a couple books of specific books in Taoism since it was hard to find on my own -- after providing two titles I was referred to the correct section. After spending 15 minutes double and triple scanner for either one of the two books I asked about, I visited another employee with the same question, for them to tell me they didnt have EITHER of the specific books I had asked about... A small lesson in customer service? *Listen* to the questions being asked, theres a big difference in looking for a general topic vs specific books.Wasted time in a nice store.

Loved this place. I needed a book for my son for school I called to see if they had it and they did. They had it ready for me for when I arrived. Check out was fast and easy.

Support book stores! Everyone here is always nice and thoughtful and kind and stoked about telling you their passions about books. As a result, I always end up buying a book that sits on a shelf for five years before I read the first twenty pages, get bored, put it back on the shelf, then pick it up again and finally read it and say, wow, that B&N associate has great taste! Why didnt I read this sooner?!

It’s a great place to have a coffee and relax. The Starbucks is upstairs to the left. 3 levels in this book store. Take time and support this book store it’s nice to come in and pick your book own book and talk to someone that can help you find what you need. I always take home a book

It is very spacious and carries various items. Kids love especially 3rd floor because of toys and comic books. I usually visit this place with my kids on Sunday night because around the time, it is much less crowded. Price is not cheap but sometimes buy a book or two to support this place to sustain.

Love this book store. Just glad enough people buy books here to keep it open. This lease cant be cheap.

This is one of the largest Barnes and Nobles and if you cant find a gift or book here, you are difficult! Really well stocked Criterion Blu ray section on first floor. Great bookstore for tourists to stock up on travel necessities.

This place was such a nice spot to just sit down and relax with a book in hand, after walking around the Grove in the summer heat 🌞 . Everything in the store was up and running, like the pandemic ever happened. Just 3 floors of endless books, with plenty of open seats indoor and outdoor on the top floor. Cant be a better place to just rest mid-day.

Pretty amazing store. Three levels high and located in the beautiful Grove shopping center in West Hollywood. If theres a book youre looking for, chances are that they have it.I was also impressed with their extensive collection of Criterion movies. Definitely worth a look.

There was a power outage there last night☆they had to close for a bit but thankfully they reopened when a lot of the stores around them decided to close shop.The selection is great n they have staff recommendations on shelves. U can also get a drink on the third floor n just chill n read!Id give it a full 5☆ if the ac was awesome on all floors not just the first floor n there were more seats...Oh n what r those devices on the bottom of the shelves?!

Simply WOW! The stories of books with an outstanding selection of Harry Potter items, books and collectibles. Also, kudos to BN-i love that their metaphysical book section is entitled SELF-TRANAFORMATION.

This was my very first time being in a Barnes and Noble book store.

I love that place its a great place to buy and read any kind of books we want .

At first I was a bit intimidated by this Barnes & Noble because it’s so big when you walk in I thought there would be no way I found any of the books I was looking for – Not the case! I strolled over to an info kiosk located at the front of the store and typed in the titles I was looking for and I was in luck – all were in stock at the store I was in! The system in place to find books is so easy too – It literally tells you exactly where in the store to go and because the organization is so good, navigating is a nonissue. I was able to find all 3 books I was looking for within 30 minutes of arrival without even needing to ask anyone for help!

The experience with my daughter was great, but it always takes time to find someone to help with a question. I wish you could check out and pay in the section that you are in instead of having to travel downstairs when you are on the top floor. Other than that, pretty good selection of books that my 5 year old loves. Be prepared to spend more than you thought lol.

B&N was such a hang out spot in the 90s and into the early 2000s. If you were waiting for a movie or for a restaurant table killing some time and maybe buying a magazine Barnes and Nobles always had their door open. Tables, chairs and coffee available. Now that their brick and morter locations have dwindled to almost nonexistence the Grove location still stands tall. A throw back in time, as if Amazon hadnt taken their lunch. We can hope it will be around as a reminder of kinder gentler times when we could go to the kids area and read to our toddlers.

Never again will I shop at Any Barnes & Noble’s the employees made me and my children feel some Discrimination and where very unwelcoming we where dress in house clothes and pj I just really wanted to go pick up a good book that I could snuggle up with but I was treated as if I was going to steal or that we where bothersome when I ask the staff for help the just said I don’t know you can look over there, but another women who was well dressed asked for help he went out of his way for her and walked her over, haven’t you guys ever heard of treating everyone with respect regardless of how the look? Guess not I’ll be sticking to Amazon for my book needs thanks for the horrible experience

This is my favorite barns and noble of all LA, despite of the closure of some locations. The maim reason that this B&N has been my favorite one is because of their 3 floors and also because it has a Starbucks coffee shop inside at the 3rd floor. Before COVID19 I used to go and seat there at the balcony to read something and to drink a good coffee. The staff here is very nice and they help you effortless.

Had never been to a tri-level book store. Got lost in the shear wealth of inventory and loved it! Everything I needed, I found!

Discovering Barnes & Noble at The Grove made my so very happy. It was like finding a diamond in the darkness. The internet, or a smart phone, must never become the only place to locate, buy and read books. Never.Please seek out bookstores and independent book shops. There are treasures to treasure and books should be held and read and cherished.When I came upon the abanonded dismantled Barnes & Noble in a Santa Monica I cried. It was like a desecration of all I hold dear. I am a book lover, a serious reader and a writer.Thankfully, now I have a new branch to enjoy located within the Grove shopping centre, a most enchanting outdoor shopping mall with a multude of eateries and beautiful apparel galore.But, its reading books and bookstores that will win my heart every time.

An amazing break on a beautiful street. An oasis for the broke traveler who needs respite from the hot sun nut wants to still check out overpriced pants and shirts nearby.

A friend recently recommended this book to me (The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F$#&), and I decided it was time for a new read so I went over to Barnes & Noble to pick it up. The store was really well laid out and the search kiosk made it so easy to find!

I stopped to visit because I was having a problem with my Nook rather than try to sell me a new one which most places would theyve given me contact numbers and been the best experience Ive ever had if they couldnt solve it they were sure somebody else could and gave me that number

I dont know why.... But my favourite bit about Barnes and Noble is the clearance section. I always find some great deals. When it comes to main books sadly they dont price match online stores, so some of the new books I wanted are a third cheaper online. But this is still one of my favourite bookshops and stores to visit in the Grove when I go. Nothing beats a real bookshop and I try to buy something every time I visit one!

2/6/2021- Back to B&N and the staff was super! Social distance and hand sanitizer near.10/17/2020-Enjoyed a great escape from Covid-19 to Barnes and Nobles. Great assortment of books, dvds, Christmas Albums and lots of games and activity kits for the kids. We also enjoyed a snack at the B&N cafe.

Beautiful three-story bookstore with a large variety. My daughter was particularly impressed by the selection of Manga. To top it off, this Barnes and Nobles is in the middle of the beautiful outdoor Grove shopping center!

Great bookstore....but nowhere to sit except for the 3rd. floor. NOT 1 CHAIRToo far to go when ur a senior, so we dont spend our $ there.

This is one of the biggest and I LOVE IT. 3 floors of interesting stuff for every occasion you need.Starbucks is on the top floor but cant pay with your Starbucks card, FYI.Children with an area to play & read located on the right side of the 3rd floor. Kids can spend hours and enjoy many books

Great place to browse books before purchases. You would be surprised to find a book written by American authors translated in different languages on clearance. What a great find without paying overseas shippings.

There should be a sign when the store will be opened. If books are delivered to own home, they should have given me a receipt with the address and estimated delivery times.

One of my favorite places to go. Unfortunately books are just expensive compared to thw restaurants of the industry.

This Barnes and Noble is great! It looks small outside but it makes it up for it on the inside. But the downside is that I keep coming here looking for Harry Potters Wand and still they dont have it but other than that, its great you should definitely come here!

Had a terrible customer service experience today. Went to the Grove, excited to be out of the house, made a purchase at Barnes & Noble at The Grove. Found out they overcharged me for a sales item. Called when I was home and was refused a credit. I was told I had to come in. So I went back and returned all items. Manager told me Thanks for the feedback-no apology, nothing. Will never shop there again.

This place is amazing.

I absolutely love Barnes and Noble and visit as often as possible! They have a fantastic book selection and this location has amazing authors coming in for book signings! A bonus is that B&N is located in the Grove mall which I enjoy walking every time I am here.
