Best spot to get your winter and summer gear tuned up! I’ve been coming here to get my bike tuned up for years. Jason always knows how to take care of chain issues, or problems with leaky tubes. My bike has a particular tubing inside and Jason ordered it for the store - which was awesome. Thank you for that.Lots of good helmet selections and bike accessories like bells and lights.Find used bikes and ski gear here too for a discounted rate, and at a really great quality.Plenty of parking in the back. Closed Sunday’s and Monday’s.Expect to get your bike repaired within 48 hours, but normally sooner than that. For a fixed up chain and tube and repair labor it costs me around $23

I rolled up with two old road bikes in desperate need for repair in the midst of the pandemic. They were able to tune up both bikes for a very fair price and did it pretty dang fast! Very friendly staff. These folks are working extra hard these days cause of the high demand and are still pumping out repairs and services. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a bike shop that is not filled with egos.

Incredible people. Professional and delightful. I went there for a new tube and the staff noticed a ton of thorns and a large glass shard stuck in my tire. He took the time and handpicked every single thing. The high standard of care and service is unparalleled! Take your bike here and enjoy the ease of mind that its in good hands.

Jason and Chris are so helpful. I brought in my bike for a tune up and to investigate some mystery noises. A month on, the noises were still happening intermittently, so I brought the bike back in and they tested it for two hours at no extra charge. I appreciated their dedication and the quick turn around.

Out of all the bike shops in LA the owner Chris has the best sales service and products in the area ..yea there are bigger shops but he puts that personal touch that makes me drive across town and only spend my bike money with him ..he is a great shop owner he cares about his clients ..i have been going to this shop over 18 years ..he is the best .remember back in the day when the shop owner knew your name, held items for you ...called you when great parts came in and they cared how you felt as you walked out the door ...if you miss that old school lovethis is the place ..i love this shop

I bought my bike here a year ago and brought it back in for a tune up. When I came back a couple of days later to pick it up, the owner who sold me the bike a year ago, saw me and remembered me and my bike. He loaded it in my car and thanked me for bringing it by. I told him I hadnt paid for it, and he told me there was no cost. Whether that is common practice at most bike shops, I dont know, but the owner of this bike shop has integrity and I appreciate the free tune up!

I like this shop...its not big, no hype, no flash. It is what it is. Its a local bike shop that also rents skis.It probably has 3 to 4 employees / owners working here max. They are polite and knowledgable about what they do and they dont charge you a lot for it. Its priced accordingly. Service is good and they do good work...what you expect. Its a small shop and relies on the local neighborhood to support it. My girl is a novice and she asks a lot of questions and they are always really good to her. Even on the simple questions. They dont make her feel like an idiot for not knowing.I usually take my road bike in for cleaning and maintenance. The price is pretty fair compared to the core shops by about 30% or more. They do same work for less $$. Work is usually done in a respectable amount of time...they usually tell me and Im good with the time line - couple few days. This goes to the 1 star kid from UCLA...you probably werent the only one trying to charge the mountains after a dump so you should expect the mom and pop shop to be stacked with tunes and repairs. If YOU are trying to get the goods everyone else is too. When you asked about the base grinder you should have asked if they could do a rush job too. Bottom line you dropped the ball for not having your gear ready....if you were my friend and you were lagging because you had last minute gear issues, you would be left at home crying....like you did in your review.1st rule. No friends on a pow day.2nd rule: no friends on a pow day.3rd rule: always have your gear readyThe great thing about a mom and pop shop is that they reserve the right to serve anyone. Secondly, if they have 20 paying customers ahead of you that dropped of their stuff before you...I find it respectable that they didnt put your board ahead of theirs just because you drove in rush hour traffic and didnt have the brains to ask if they could even do it before a long drive.405 basics...dont drive in rush hour. Duh.Stay in School!!!! Learned to think before you speak.Use this shop if you need to get a bike repaired, fixed, or have maintenance done.Solid shop.

This shop is the prime example why certain mom and pop owned retail shops are becoming dinosaurs. I had to find a place to get a base grind for my snowboard for a last minute trip. I called them in the early afternoon and asked if they had a base grinder and the gentleman on the phone confirmed they did.I usually work on my own snowboards but this particular board needed a base grind, something usually found only in a snowboard shop. After I was done with my classes at ucla, I head over the shop located in Playa del Rey during rush hour traffic and get there 45 minutes before closing time. I walk in and the same fella I spoke to on the phone happens to greet me. Great! He grabs the board and says I should have been there hours ago as he suggested on the phone yet starts walking towards the base grinder with my snowboard. By the base grinder, an older gentleman was sitting and resting against the machine. The guy holding my board ask the resting employee if he can run my board through the machine (mind you this is happening in plain view right in front of me). The guy resting then points at a pile of skis and snowboards and says I gotta do those first! NO!So the 1st employee who has my board turns around and tells me once again that I should have came in earlier and they cant grind my base. Are you joking? I just drove from Westwood to Playa Dell Rey and theyre turning a paying customer away? I told the 1st guy that hey I just drove across town to get here and please just do it, it takes less than 5 minutes, but I was told to come back another time. Another time? Im not ever stepping back to this shop and it wont be long they too go out of business.I ended up driving back to West LA and got my repair items from Sport Chalet (I rather spend my money at a local biz but I had no choice here) then used Stick Docs pick up and drop off snowboard repair service to get my board tuned.
