Im never here at 9am. Usually im an afternoon shopper because I work mornings and let me tell you that the customer service this morning was exceptional! The staff was so nice and welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. They take notice of the customer and didnt hesitate to offer assistance. I truly appreciate it. I think Ill save my shopping trips for mornings when Im off. Thank you to the children of the corn - Emily

Over all I like the store and I enjoy shopping store. Need more options for water. Also, there needs more Customer Service Assistance, like check out lanes when it gets busy.

Parking is easy to find. Its rarely ever too crowded. The selection is nice. Place is always neat and clean. Many items are the bulk-savings kind but without a membership fee. Good selection of alcohol. The sodas are rarely on sale though. Overall, this is a great place for groceries.

This is actually a really good supermarket. The parking is easy. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a good selection that gets restocked frequently. Ive actually always had a good experience shopping here and I consider it my great little local market.

I come here 3 times a week since it is right across the street from my house.They have a good selection of fresh food and bulk items.Staff is nice and respectful.

Outdated store and management, all other stores have by now self check out, here you see long lines while both managers chit-chat in the office. Not sure if it was the same person but a phone chat and cigarette break right after, she may not notice the long cashier lines :-(

Great prices and solid brands. I stopped in for some items for work but noticed they had some things I normally get at Whole Foods and ended up shopping for myself too. It was surprisingly organized for being so close to the holidays.

I like the store. The employees are all very nice. They have very good specials here too. However, you need to really look at your produce.

Update: After months of shopping here Ive been really disappointed by the fact they advertise meat prices but never seem to have any. The staff isnt very helpful either and Ive decided not to shop here anymore. I would recommend the Ralphs on 4th.I found some things to be a good price here and others to be over priced. The produce did seem fresh and looked great. Meat selection had some good variety for beef with some really large cuts that would be good for a meat smoker but expensive. Im probably just going to come here when things are on sale for what I need. As far as the staff goes, I kind of found them to be unprofessional. The check out clerk was talking to the bagger about how drunk they got the night before. Im not necessarily going to hold that against the store but employees should use some smarts when around customers.

So today I was at Smart & Final and I was not happy with my service Ima disable vet I go in there they have one cashier open then I look and theres another 1 and then when I go behind them they tell me there not open so I get back in the line thats long and then I look over and he opens up the line the brother opens # 3 and all the people behind me go first and I still have to wait on 5 which is slow...that wasnt cool for him to over look me ..Im on a cane.

The staff was very helpful. The store was being restocked and I was asked if I needed anything. I appreciate that kind of mindfulness.

I went through register 2 cashiers name Start with a C and she was awesome friendly greeting customers with a smile . I dropped in after work between 4:30 & 5:15 I forgot an item and she waited for me until I went back to get it. Great customer service 🙂

Smart and Final is great for a lot of things, especially cheap stock pots (5 quart for around $10), really great and affordable cheese (the giant bag of blue cheese costs less than most stores tiny blue cheese containers) and creamer ($5.99 for the big International Delights Cold Stone flavor). Unlike most stores in South Long Beach, this is a regular - sized Smart and Final Extra. It has everything any other SFE would have. And it has a large parking lot and a really tasty Mediterranean restaurant next door (Alibaba, which Google Maps cant understand via spoken commands for whatever reason lol). So you can order food then shop then pick up your food. The produce is OK, better than, say, Target, but worse than Trader Joes or Sprouts. The liquor selection is weak. Lots of frozen bulk foods. SFE is more expensive than Costco and has less selection, but its also more consistent. You can generally count on something being there when you need it.

Great organization in store in terms of COVID-19 protection! Bravo! Store was clean, not crowded, quick and efficient in checkout.

Love Smart&Final. Its the perfect cross between Costco and a regular grocery store.

Dont bother ordering online they only have 1/4 of the things you order and they fail to notify you of shortages during the process. I know this store well and have found that they fail to stock the store at night. They only stock during the day. The people in the store are nice thats why I give it 2 stars but their ordering system and stocking shifts fail because the company fails not the people that work here.

I love smart and final! All they are missing is almond breeze cashew milk and non-dairy halo top! Other than that, they have a great vegan selection and are so close to home. Love it!

Ive been going to this store since I moved to Long Beach to buy their Rotisserie Chickens, I buy them at 8.30 PM because their half price .Well tonight I sent my Husband to pick one up and he comes home with the Chicken and said they changed the time to 9.00 pm.Its always been 8.30.Well when I go down to see whats up I see a new face and she transferred here and told me its the Night Mgrs discression if she wants to mark them down or not.Is this something New?Ill be going in the talk to the Store Mgr in the morning to get some answers.

Super friendly. Always stocked. We go there often but not too often and they always try to talk to us by name! Its got the atmosphere of being a family owned business when you know it is a huge chain. Really nice experience every time.

The store is not bad nor the employees but some store customers leave a lot to be desired on distancing in line very rude.

I used to never shop in Smart & Final did not had a pleasant shopping experience until this one! It has good fresh vegetables amazing to stock up food in large quantity, store is well organized. Store is not too big, it is perfect size to get on the bottom of your shopping list fast.

Helpful staff and for bulk items they are very reasonable but for many items the chains like Staters beat them easily. Yesterday I went and picked up my favorite store cookies, Fredericos Gourmet Italian Cookies. So many different spices and flavors. Give them a try. Ive only found them here year round.

We went there for a crown roast. Which they didnt have.However e did find out that we had to go where they actually had a butcher. However they did have really great fruit and vegetables. And a lot of other things that I dont see in other stores.

The long LINE (THERE IS ONE LINE) is not something anyone wants to tackle. There were 2, maybe three registers open. Not sure why I ever came for just two items. I dont understand how this store is helping shoppers.

Great prices and a huge selection on bulk items and organics. Produce was really fresh! They dont have a deli or bakery but lots of other products to choose from.

Bulk foods, lots of restaurant food and equipment, food for groups. Bright fluorescent lights. Not so relaxing if youre pressed for time; lots of aisles to check.

This store is gorgeous. The bulk item section is beautiful, the produce department is a work of art, and the prices cant be beat. $5.99 for the best rotissarie chicken Ive ever had.

A great place to run into for a few items, but some items are over priced. I have been unimpressed with their fruit and beef. If you run a small business like a food stand, this place is perfect . It has a lot of those hard to find items not usually at a grocery store like butter topping and popcorn salt for professional sized poppers.

Conveniently close to home. Good prices on most grocery products but pricy on certain items. Meats, cheeses, bread and veggies can be found cheaper elsewhere. Many options of products here. Fish is limited and crab, lobster and things of that nature come only once a year... Very clean. Parking spaces are a tight squeeze. Bigger spots found on the side by the laundromat (along the wall). overall, Im happy with buying my groceries here. Better than the Albertsons-then Top Value-that it was before. WAY BETTER!!!
