I’ve tried a lot of shops around Downtown Long Beach, but this is my favorite. Not only is the coffee/food FANTASTIC; the owners are amazing people that help veterans as well as the community. While I was there waiting for my food, I noticed a few homeless people walk out with fresh clothes, fresh FOOD, and most importantly HUGE SMILES. How often can you help others by enjoying amazing food & coffee at the same time? Check em out. Talk to them to find out what they’re all about, and you’ll leave not only having fed your body, but your mind & spirit as well.

Love the Grilled Cheese & esp the Pickle sandwich!!! Both are loaded with goodies & flavor! ! Extremely reasonably priced. FRESH coffee! They HELP the Vets & HOmeless on our streets with food, coffee, cloths, shoes & blankets. I highly recommended this place. Must try.

Its a Veteran run place and who doesnt have a tremendous amount of appreciation for Veterans? I really enjoyed everything about this visit: the place, the staff, the service and the food. OK, this is a small coffee shop. Its not a 5 star restaurant. However, our experience there was such that I couldnt give it anything less than 5 stars!We arrived a little before our other two diners but were greeted warmly by the staff there who immediately moved two table together. We ordered some biscuits and gravy while we waited because it said they took 15 minutes. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Fresh biscuits with sausage and bacon on top, cooked to order with amazing cream gravy.Our other two diners appeared with their adorable dog. Apparently the dog is known in the restaurant (and knows them). The staff were thrilled to see her and she was even more thrilled to get fed some fresh turkey.The coffee and the egg sandwich I had were just perfect. Date of visit: Monday, December, 9th, 2019This was our first visit to long beach, and we were just looking for a place to grab a coffee and a breakfast sandwich before we hit the road. We stumbled upon the Long Beach Coffee and Tea Company.We ordered 3 sandwiches and coffee, and we were impressed that the owner hand made the eggs, fresh to order. There was no microwave used. The sandwiched were huge, and full of egg, cheese, and meat – we all had turkey, but they have several options for meats and cheese.The sandwich was served on a huge Croissant. It was just what we were looking for – and MORE.While he was preparing our meals, I took some time to read the info on the business that is posted on the walls. I was super impressed with their business model. They are a ‘safe space’ for LGBTQ and trans people. They are an inclusive business where everyone is welcome. The owners are military veterans, and they support veterans affairs as well as trans-persons rights.The business was decorated for Christmas with gingerbread buildings, but they also had a ‘reserved table’ that was not for visitors to sit at. The table was set with a bible, an American flag, and more. The combination of missions these owners are on, just hit me. I Had to take some time to let them know that I really appreciated their commitment to human rights for all, their inclusivity, acceptance, and their work for supporting people who need the help that they are not necessarily getting. In this day and age of divisiveness, it is nice to see people doing their part, even when their politicians ignore them. His response to me was “It all begins with Love” – IT DOES. And I love this restaurant, and I highly recommend everyone visits when people visit Long Beach.We all need to support businesses that believe in HUMANITY.

I really love having my morning coffee here. The place was very chic, and their coffee was the best! I always ordered here their Latte because it was tastier and aromatic than any other coffee shop I tried before. Before going to work, I always drop by here and buy my coffee. They also sell breakfast meals, like pancakes and sandwiches, too.

Soon after I arrived at Long Beach Coffee & Tea. I was welcomed by the very friendly owners and found a table very near the TV. They were still serving folks who had come in for breakfast which I had all ready eaten before arriving there, so, I enjoyed a great glass of iced tea during the first quarter and ordered some soup and a sandwich at half time. The soup was made from scratch and was delicious! They feature Boars Head deli meats so, the sandwich was awesome as well! Very reasonable prices! It was a great dining experience and fun to watch the game with other Chiefs fans out in Long Beach! If you have not yet tried this place out, Get over there soon!! You wont regret it!!

I went in for breakfast this morning and I couldnt recommend this place enough. Tom (the owner I believe). Is gregarious and pleasant. The shop does a lot to support or vets, including an Angel Tree where patons can grab an Angel with the name of a vet in need and bring them gifts for the holidays.I ordered a mocha espresso and a Big Breakfast. The espresso was exactly how I like them, chocolately and sweet. The Big Breakfast is no lie. A delicious pancake, a slice of toast (I got sourdough it was tasty), both buttered generously. Savory grits, I got mine with cheese, butter and black pepper. I love grits and so far, Tom makes the best grits in Long Beach. They round it out with bacon and roasted okra. I was skeptical of this at first. But boy it good. A perfect complement to the bacon.I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back again!
