Dropped my ring off for the semi annual repairs in June. Was told the diamond was cracked and needed to be repaired. Quoted early October for return okay seems a bit excessive but okay. Was called a month later and told the exact diamond I need for replacement is 12 weeks out. Yikes, thats a long time. They then told me they have a diamond one clarity down and .2 carats bigger. I asked for pictures to which they could not produce. But pressured me to take this diamond. Okay, now Im being told they need to certify the diamond and that takes two weeks. This was never explained to me at any point and now my ring is estimated to come back late November. The communication is horrendous. I would not recommend this location period.
My husband and I came in store on 8/1 to buy wedding rings. We purchased them in store with the associate, Tyler B, who ordered the rings online to be shipped to the store. After paying we noticed that he input our email address wrong, and he and the woman working with him kind of blew us off and said we can correct our email address once we pick up the rings. Estimated delivery was 8/10, its 8/11 so we call the store to see if theyve arrived. They have not. So I check the order status online and it turned out our order was cancelled the same day we ordered them. No indication as to why the order was cancelled, but we wont be back to try again.
My husband purchased my wedding ring from this store. When he bought it they wereMissing the certification on one of the bands. Two years later and I am still waiting for them to get the paperwork. The store has changed managers which I’m sure has not helped. In the two years I’ve had my ring the big stone has come lose twice and had to be sent in for repair. I just picked it up Monday and by Wednesday I had lost a different stone from the ring completely. I am now waiting for the store to open so I can send it in, for the third time. And they are busy cleaning the cabinets and are almost ten minutes late opening up. Even though they know me and another customer are standing here and waiting on them. I am not sure what the female managers name is but she is rude and definitely does not value customer service. This is my second interaction with her and I am again disappointed. Suffice it to say this will be the last time I have any work or purchase anything from this location.
As someone who struggles with big buys for herself, I was very indecisive coming into the store. I browsed for quite some time and Kristen took it upon herself to help me find the most PERFECT ring! I was able to customize it (rose gold) and I have had no regrets with my purchase since! Every time I have brought my ring in to be cleaned the customer service has been spectacular & Kristen even remembers my name! I’ve never felt as welcomed as I do when I walk into Kay’s! Can’t wait for my next purchase!
I bought a watch and it came scratched and this one lady very nice and helpful I would give her a 5star is I could for helping me she ordered me a second and a third cause they were all scratched the third one was still scratched not as bad but still noticeable I love a hour and half away and they wouldn’t even size my watch for me it was a different girl then the one I would have given a 5star to and then I find out from the other store I got it sized at that they gave me there cheep movado watch box and that I should have gotten a nicer one so thanks Kay’s for all that you do 😒
Kristen is the sole reason to come to Kay in Southwest Plaza. Her level of care and service with her clients is unmatched. My family and I have purchased multiple beautiful pieces from her and her associates at this location. I would highly recommend treating yourself or that special loved one with a gift, and the perfect person to help you find that gift is Kristen. 12/10 Will be back for more.
The store has some nice selections. Customer service by the lady manager is very terrible. Completely on a defensive side and not wanting to communicate properly with a customer of color compared to how she spoke with other customers before me. The other sale person was friendly but she took over in the middle, as I was trying to make a purchase. Decided not to proceed with the purchase.
Today I purchased the engagement ring for my boyfriend. I had an amazing experience all thanks to Kristen! She helped me From the moment I stopped in 2 weeks ago to today. I received nothing but outstanding service. She took her time with me and showed me quite a few options and helped me feel comfortable with my purchase! Thank you so much Kristen you are a gem! For it being a major corporation I definitely felt like I was at home. There were so many options to choose from and lots of great deals. I am so happy that I chose to come to this location! Walked in to the shop a few times during our trip to the mall that day. My son was trying to price a promise ring for his girlfriend. Ignored the first 2 times and the last rudely told by the bearded gentleman he would be with us in few. Went downstairs to Zales and walked out with very satisfied service. Highly do not recommend this particular Kay’s.
We went to this location on February 4 to get a ring resized from an 11 to a 10 (we bought from Kay jewelers off of their website).We were told it would be by feb 24th.On February 24th we were called and told that they did not write the size on the work order and that the ring was just sitting there.We told them that we wanted it size to a 10.At this time we were informed that they needed more time and had not started the process of resizing the ring.On the evening of March 2nd we received another call that the ring was ready.I returned to the store and and found the work acceptable and asked the sales staff for a discount due to the mistake and delay.The sales clerk said that he needed to check with his manager who was standing next to him behind the counter.The manager said 10% without looking up from his screen.I told that wasnt enough, and that I was thinking 50%.With increasing tension in his voice he snapped 20% .I replied with thats not enough how about 25%?He replied dismissively if thats what will make you happy I accepted paid the bill and left.I left the store dissatisfied and did not like the way I was treated and spoke to by the manager.Its wasnt my fault they didnt write down the size the ring was getting changed to and I feel that they handled their mistake and interacted with me poorly.Sincerely Disappointed Kay customer in Denver.

I purchased a ring for my fiance here. We had to wait to get it resized and when I came in, I asked if they could mail it to another Kay Jewelers in Virginia because I was moving there. They told me they could only send it to a personal address so I told them I didnt have a new address yet and I would call them once I did. When I had my new address, I called them and asked them to send it to me, they then told me they couldnt send it to a personal address, they could only send it to another Kay Jewelers. By now its been over 3 months of waiting and Im getting really annoyed. I gave them the Kay Jewelers store closest to me, and they told me they would mail my ring within the week. Then COVID happened and the store in VA closed. Now, the VA store has reopened, so I called to see if I could pick up the ring, and they tell me they havent received my ring in the mail yet. At this point, its been 5 and a half months that this Kays has had this ring and I find it completely ridiculous and unprofessional that it has taken this long AND I STILL DONT HAVE THE RING. From now on, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Also, to any employee or manager reading this. When you reopen, please ACTUALLY and FINALLY mail the ring to VA.

While the rings arent really my style, I stopped by when my partner asked for my ring size and some ideas and DJ was so happy to help and absolutely wonderful. No pressure, just help sizing and looking when I was feeling super overwhelmed but it all as Ive never really thought about this stuff. Thanks DJ!
Worst possible place to purchase anything meaningful. I purchased an engagement ring from Kays 11 years ago. Over that time frame the 4 main Diamonds have fallen out over 25 times. We finally decided to trade it in for a different ring with a different setting today. My wife loved the ring! No joke, on the way home she noticed a diamond was missing. Took it directly back. Will never purchase anything, I mean anything that is sold at a Kay jewelers. How in the world would you allow a defective product to be displayed and then sold?
If I could give no stars I would these people are incredibly rude came in to price out getting my ENGAGEMENT RING resized they acted like he got me a 5 dollar ring and refused to even give us a pricing. We went to Herzberg diamond they were awesome. Go there over kay theyll give you the service you deserve!
Kays assisted with a Custom Retirement/wedding ring that was a bit complex. The Southwest Mall, Colorado staff took on the challenge of keeping my solataire diamond, adding new diamonds and adding new colored stones and a new custom design created by my daughter with thoughtfulness, expertise and really helpful suggestions! Came here the other day to see if they could resize my watch. I had lost hope because the four precious jewelry stores said no they couldnt or wanted to charge $25 to do it or wanted to hold it for a couple days which I thought was ridiculous. Finally the guy, didnt catch his name, at Kay jewelers, resized my watch for me within 2 mins. I asked him what I owe him and all he asked is that I be a Kay customer in the future. I have been in the past but because of the exceptional service I will definitely be a customer for life! I will be coming here for all my future jewelry needs. Thank you so much!! I’ve bwen going to this Kay Jewelers since 2012 and they’ve been so helpful and anticipating my jewelry needs before I even know what I want. I get calls when new things are coming in without having to prompt. They all know me by first name. It’s definutely a family oriented atmosphere they truly do care it’s not about a sale to them. Great customer service! Love the new look since the recent makeover of SW Plaza 2-3 years ago!
I was in there a couple days ago, worked with a wonderful gentleman who was helping with sizing of mens wedding rings. Brought my husband in yesterday to get am accurate size and make sure he liked what I had picked out. We worked with a girl, I say this because she was completely lifting out and up her shirt ever time she coughed and manurisims were awful! We were asking about sizes and she would try them on her fingers and then guess about what size they were. Finally, my husband asked for the ringer sizer, so we could make sure we were ordering the correct size. I asked about prices and sales and she was rude. When we came down to ordering and paying, I had an active $25 off and she said because it wasnt a sale, she could not apply it. Huh? I thought I was BUYING a ring. Customer service was horrible! And this isnt the first time for us. Definitely the last time we take our business there.

I recently went to get my rings cleaned and was greeted by Chantel. When I went to the store she was there for both encounters and is so sweet and professional!! She brought light to the fact that I have a life time warranty and gave me some other options to make my ring look brand new! So grateful to have this Kay Jewlers nearby!
I am heartbroken and greatly disappointed in Kays service and selling practices. A year ago my wife and I purchased our wedding rings at Kay. The sales associate was very nice, helped pick out a great ring for myself and continued great service in helping my wife find a bridal set. However, what he told us and what we have come to find out are complete opposites. He sold me on getting a warranty that would FULLY cover the bridal set, as well as mine. Now, after receiving a ring back after a plating service, my diamond is CRACKED! The sales associate at this location inspected my ring and when I had to point out the crack, oh, yeah, there is a chip there. She also told me I would have to call customer service about the crack because it is not covered. Customer service says my diamond is not covered because I did not purchase it there - direct opposite of the original sales associate. Customer service also says we need to prove they cracked it....their associates dont even see cracks when doing inspections, how do I prove this? I am so disappointed with Kay. I will never shop here again - stay away, you dont get what you pay for.

Go somewhere else. Please. I dont want anyone else to deal with this. We bought a diamond for my great grandmothers engagement setting. Good quality, appraised higher than what we payed (with the GIA documentation). You can get that anywhere though...The bad review is because of 3 things:1. They dont do any work in the shop. They send it to Jared. Why not just go there? They never had any info on my rings, they had to call over to Jared and ask. Also I never got a clear answer a trusted about where my ring was in the process. I was told one time the wax was done and would be in the store the next day. When I called 2 days after that (because I never heard from them)...I was told it was only just being started and would be another 2 weeks!2. Customer service is not acceptable. Again, they send it to Jared. I had a wedding band custom made that matched my great grandmothers vintage engagement ring. Just white gold...no diamonds, stones...just the leaf-life detail from the band. The quality of the work is sub par at best. I couldve gone to a Nordstrom and bought something similar for a quarter of the price. I was told it would match exactly and it does not. At all. To me its only a resemblance. When I went to approve the wax I mentioned that some of the detail was missing, and that is what makes it so special to me. The lady at the counter looked closely with one of the tools and assured me it was there so I trusted her. It was hard because youre looking at green wax. I approved it. She was very wrong. And now Im stuck with a wedding band I dont like. And I am going to to go somewhere else to have it completely redone after the wedding...which leads me to my third point.3. It takes forever. They dont know whats going on because they ship things off. What I was told would take about 6 weeks took a full 3 months. Now its 2 weeks before my wedding, and Im stuck with something I dont like. I went to the store within 24 hours of when any piece of the process was in and waiting for me, and thats how long it took. Having them redo the wax once did add to the time frame...but that should be included. I feel like I was intentionally mislead about the time frame.Through all this Ive heard about what a terrible reputation Kay has. For switching out diamonds, loosing irreplaceable pieces, and sub par service. I will say the people that worked there were as kind as they could be. Theyre limited by the company. But its not worth it. I had my reservations about Kay in the first place, and I was right. Save yourself. Go somewhere else.

I would never ever suggest going to this location! They always give you the run around and never know whats going on. The customer service is an absolute joke they are rude and degrading to their customers.I needed work done on my ring and was guaranteed it back by this date when I called to check the status of the ring they didnt know where it was an in order to get it handled I had to call corporate to get any information about my ring.We took my ring to have the plating re done and they cut the ring and fused it together to small. Our wedding is in two days so I have to shove it on my finger until I can get it to a better location. When I had mentioned about the ring they gave me the rudest tone implying I was stupid and didnt know what I was talking about, I know my ring and how it fits!! At this point I took my ring and walked away, I would never take anything to this location again.

We purchased our wedding rings at Kay 8 years ago and have returned every year to adhere to the warranty to have them cleaned. Weve also had one ring sized twice due to injury and weight loss. In all cases the store personnell have been extremely courteous, efficient, nad have done a great job on our rings.Ive also purchased several other jewelry items over the year for my wife which have all been beautiful and have ben of high quality and have no issues. The store remains true to excellent customer service and quality jewelry.I recommend this store highly!
