Tams Auto Repair is highly professional, highly courteous, and most importantly very good at what they do. The prices are the best youll find in Lincoln and not because they short you along the way; its simply an honest business. The owner, Tam, is a very kind and friendly man who puts his customers first.I had a new sway bar put in, with new sway bar links, they fixed an oil leak, changed a blower actuator, and changed my engine filter. Very happy with their work. It was done very promptly and I was notified along the way of every charge.

Mr Tam was great, my daughter was driving cross country and the car had a problem. Even though he was very busy he squeezed her in and helped her out. Kudos to you Mr. Tam.Thanks again.

Tam is an honest person and skilled mechanic, but you need to be patient with him. Calling isnt the best way of contacting the shop, you need to go there in-person and talk to him.

Tam was great. He got the needed work done quickly and was much less expensive than some other competitors I talked with.Update : I called him the day before a family trip for a needed repair and got us right in. Very grateful for his help and customer service.

Car started when it wanted. It was basically babysat overnight and I was told it was running perfect. I told him it wasnt or I wouldnt be there. It ended up being a sensor (Graham Tires). Maybe the guy doesnt have a diagnostic machine??

Finding trustworthy mechanics is so difficult. BUT - have taken my 2001 Subaru into Tam for so many things at this point. Every time, my car is in, fixed, reasonably priced, done. He is SO good at what he does, and he is SO helpful and efficient. He doesnt complain or give you push back if youre a frequent customer (like me, ha). Hes just a super chill, laid back, hardworking mechanic who does good work for his customers. Tams is the only place to go in Lincoln, honestly! I will never, ever go anywhere else!

Best Auto Repair shop you can have it in town! He is really good at what he is doing and so confident on what he has fixed. His rates are always reasonable and never rips off a customer. Ive been bringing my car to Tam almost since I moved to Lincoln four years ago. hes been nothing but honest, quick, and dependable. Replaced a water pump and six spark plugs in under three hours for half what Graham Tire wanted, once replaced my serpentine belt for free and will honestly tell you when a car is no longer worth fixing.

Very reliable and thorough mechanic. My cars have been going there for years, and I am confident that Im in the best hands! Tam takes care of all the people that visit him.

We send our car to this place and spend $130 to check the status. They said everything is fine. But we met another person who know about car, then we found that the coolant is empty, the engine oil is low and dirty. It seems the tams auto repair did nothing but charged a lot!

My son and I were driving from Minnesota to Kansas to deliver an old car of ours to a cousin as a 16th Bday present. We broke down just outside of Lincoln and with no notice Tams Auto Repair took our car in immediately, had an estimate to me within an hour and stayed after hours to get the car fixed and us back on the road. As a business owner I know that it isn’t easy or glamorous to stay late on a Friday, but that’s what Le at Tams did for us. Not only did they take great care of us but knowing our situation they didn’t take advantage of us and the price was beyond fair, especially considering the circumstances. I live hundreds of miles away but would recommend Tams Auto Repair to anybody. Thank you again and always Tams!

You get your car in a timely manner.

First off I never write reviews but I felt compelled in this case. My roommate has been going to tam for years and has nothing but good things to say. But for my experience I wanted a wheel bearing replaced. He told me he could do it the next day and to bring my car in early. When I arrived he said he might not be able to fit get in done that day (not a problem) then I tried to tell him that I had rear camber bolts on my car (not stock) the torque setting is different from the standard bolts 160ft lbs Vs 66 ft lbs I just wanted to make sure he knew about it. While I was telling him he flipped out (not my description but that of someone watching) said he wouldnt do it and stormed off quickly. I was very surprised considering what Ive heard about him. Overall I felt he was kinda rude. If you have any special request or notes to add when taking your car to a repair shop dont go to tams.

Unfortunately the only way you can post a review is by giving at least 1 start, but this place doesnt even deserve a star. This is the 2nd time that Ive brought a vehicle to them only to have no car for an entire weekend. We took our car to them yesterday and paid $195.00 for them to replace the starter. Today, my girlfriend went to get into the car because she was horribly sick and was leaving work to go home and had the same exact problem before taking it into Tams Auto Repair. We called Tams and could not get anyone to answer and so we went there in person to find that they were closed now through next Tuesday leaving us without a car. This same thing happened to us about a year ago with my sons car where they closed up early on a Friday and didnt even tell us that my sons car was fixed leaving him without a car for an entire weekend and no way to work. Its the worst communication and now, we have a car we paid them to repair and isnt even repaired. So my recommendation to anyone looking for an auto mechanic is not this place.
