My car needed new rear brake pads and new rear rotors and I wanted to get the brake fluid exchanged. I booked an appointment for Midas Leesburg and found an online coupon on MIDAS website which had free brake check and $25/axle off if brake service is needed. I wanted to get an estimate price before getting the work done. When the technician finished examining the brakes the person at the reception gave me a quote of $559 for parts and labor to which I said I will get the work done on next weekend after I get paid. The associate said since the technician did the examining I was liable for $35+taxes. When I said I had the coupon that said free brake check why am I being charged for $35? He replied because he has to pay the technician. I mean, thats why I brought the coupon. It clearly says free brake check, the technician is just doing his job. Or there should be a note on the coupon that the customer will be charged even if no work is done. He totally misrepresented and never stated this condition before starting the work. Totally disappointed by MIDAS.
Ive been going there for several years and the guys at the front desk have always been great and helpful. I moved from Leesburg but I still make the 45 min drive to see them. They are pretty straight forward when there are car issues and will let me know if it needs to be taken care of immediately or if I can wait a little longer.
Took my daughters car in for an inspection and typically, at other places, I walk out paying over $1,000 for repairs because its an old car. The Midas team was very communicative regarding the minor repair she needed and I felt they were very honest! Very reasonably priced and great customer service!
These guys are awesome! 👌 needed to get inspection done before wife was induced for labor that night. The crew handled it easy with no problems and even surprised me with good news. Thank you guys 😊 and appreciate everything 🙏!
The crew here was not only extremely professional but deeply competent. Not only was I treat well but fairly and not given a run around. I plan to continue to bring my business here as other shops in the area cannot compare.
I like this Midas. Ive never had any issue with their pricing or speed. They have always been helpful and friendly to me. I got my state inspection here as well as odds and ends auto work. Also, the waiting room chairs are armless so theyre Plus-Size friendly.
James and his team at Leesburg Midas are wonderful! They are so knowledgeable, friendly and explain everything to you about what is needed. I highly recommend them for all of your car repair and inspection needs.
Very disappointed... Midas did not fix my problem at all.
Hands down the friendliest crew in town. Professional, courteous, on time.
Honest group of folks. I drive past them all the time and regret not going to them sooner.
Really Good Car Care Place And The Owner & The Guys Who Work There Are Really Good People
Recently moving to the area, its always challenging to find trustworthy service in a new place. I felt 100% taken care of. Great service, great staff. Highly recommend.
Admittedly I missed an appointment I booked...completely my fault. Called to explain my mistake and they were so understanding. They made room and took my truck in the shop the same evening, diagnosed it, and offered options. Even provided options for me to save money. A great shop full of honest, great people!
They are very honest and have great customer service
Thanks Midas in Leesburg for your service and it’s always excellent.
Such a convenience! Battery literally died overnight so I was able to jump and go pick up a new one. Called these guys and Colby got me in straight away. In and out in less than 15 minutes. Didn’t even charge me for the install! Talk about a god send. Thank you, Midas and thank you, Colby and crew.
Quick easy service for my state inspection. Overheard intelligent and thoughtful care for the vehicles while I awaited the inspection. No-pressure insights shared afterwards.Overall, a great experience
A quick battery check for me in a pinch after a long, long morning waiting for roadside assistance. Midas fit me in the schedule conveniently and then after I dropped her off for the appointment, the analysis was speedy. I was relieved I only had left my lights on perhaps the night before. The service was cheerful and trustworthy, as always. Thanks guys at Midas.
Ive used this location for years. Always receive great service. One of the guys even put on cartoons for my son while we waited. Definitely will continue to use them!
I came in for an oil change and a state inspection. They failed me on astate inspection for brakes not making 100% contact with the rear right rotor on a four year old car and said I needed a new pair of rotors and brake pads thinking I was a Loudoun County yuppie with no clue of car knowledge LOL. Took it to another shop, passed the inspection, and gave them a good laugh. I will say the oil change was quick, so not deserving of one star. Just beware, you will get upcharged.
I switched from (formerly Currys) to Midas and have been quite pleased with the service and time frame in which things get done. I was VERY happy with how quickly this last service was done, I think it was maybe 15 minutes! Excellent. Also very friendly and helpful staff which is the main reason I stick with you guys, I dont get talked down to. That is of utmost importance to me.
Honest people. I like the people, they treat me well. It could be a little nicer in the waiting area... like a coffee machine, but cheaper than the dealership and I trust them. I give them high marks
Excellent customer service. Friendly and efficient.
I stopped by Midas this morning (6/4/2020) @ 8:00 AM to get a state inspection done. I dropped my car off and went on with my day. About an hour or so later my phone rang and the manager of Midas said my car failed the state inspection because my brakes and rotors were extremely worn down, and they would have to be replaced right away all components (front and back). The estimate he provided me was around $1200 for this work. I said that I was going to pick my car up to get a 2nd opinion/estimate. I found another mechanic shop in the Leesburg area and their inspector said there was no reason to fail the state inspection. They suggested that it was nearing time to get the back brakes/rotors replaced and the front ones could be ground down and resurfaced. The grand total for all this work (and I went ahead and got all new rotors — no resurfacing) is $734.00 (difference of about $500). After reading multiple Google reviews about this shop failing inspections on cars due to brakes, plus my own experience today, it seems like they are extremely dishonest. If you’re considering getting an inspection done here, I’d read the reviews and then go somewhere else!
Best auto shop in Leesburg. Have always been honest and fair.
The diagnosis of the problem was wrong with estimate three times more than what I got it fixed some other place. I have been long time customer but I noticed they are not providing the value and getting greedy in type of work they recommend and estimate to fix the auto issues.
I took my to get an inspection done and it turns out that there was a hole in the flex pipe and as a result I failed the state safety inspection. They were going to charge 400 bucks. I took my car to Midas and it turned out that there was an additional issue with the flange pipe. Kolby, the store manager told me what the problem was and luckily he was able to squeeze me in today. All together it cost me 380 dollars. Excellent customer service made me feel valued definitely would do business with them again.
State inspection failed for semi worn brakes and rotors; really! I was stopping on a dime before I got there... My brake was fine. I feel they wanted to make more business which I quoted 1k - ugh... Not coming back there.
I have a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder SE that had been making a weird clanking noise under the vehicle while driving at speeds between 10-30 mph since May 2019. I have taken this truck to four premier shops here in Northern Virginia to include three other shops near Virginia Beach, VA. On 24 July 2019 I decided to visit Midas in Leesburg, VA and like most people I read the reviews before I decided to drop in around 0755. Unfortunately, the morning appointments were full and the gentleman behind the counter told me that I could call to set up a late morning appointment or an early afternoon appointment. I went into work for a few hours and later I called Midas to lock in a 1300 time slot. After arriving I was greeted by the Assistant Manager Jake and I described the strange sounds that I had been hearing and he advised me that a Tech would take the car shortly. Within five minutes of my arrival a technician named Sam spoke to Jake then he spoke to me and I described to him the strange noise that I had been hearing for months. Sam took the truck for a test drive and upon his return he lifted the truck and within about 10 minutes he requested that I follow him to the truck and look up under it. Well Mr. Sam had found that my drive shaft U-Bolt was excessively loose. This was the cause of the clanking noise that I was hearing while placing the car into fwd/reverse and while driving at speeds between 10-30 mph. The sound was only noticeable if I was accelerating then removed my foot from the gas pedal as this caused the shift in torque on the shaft to cause a clanking sound. Mr. Sam also found some exhaust clamps that were loose, and his thorough inspection resolved all issues. To my surprise they were able to order and receive the proper parts within less than 30 minutes and they finished working on my truck before 1630. I truly want to thank Jake, Sam, and the shop owner for their professionalism. Sam’s level of competency was evident from the moment he listened to me describe the noise that I had been hearing it was as if he was already working out possible causes before his actual test drive. I have finally found a great shop with honest and competent technicians that I can trust to work on my vehicles. I highly recommend this shop as they have earned my trust and continued business.
Dropped my car off for a state inspectio and a vibration in the front end. Got a call within a couple hours after they test drove my car. They recommended a tire rotation and wheel balance. Inspection came back good. James was who I was dealing with and he was very professional and didnt take advantage of the fact that Im a woman. He didnt try to sell me anything other than what I needed. Close to work so will definitely be coming back to Midas for my car care needs.
Clean, efficient and fair. Coupons are posted on a frequent basis and if asked before work is started, the counter will honor a current deal even if you dont have the coupon on you. We have found that they bring to our attention other items that may need to be replaced, and actually SHOW us our dirty air filters or cracked hoses when asking if we want these items addressed. They do take appointments and those are recommended, BUT OCCASIONALLY, you may luck out with a sit and wait-- yes... you were worked in so the wait part is real. They do offer inspections and do a high volume.
Exceptional customer service. On two occasions I have gone to Colby and the team at the Midas location on Catoctin Circle in Leesburg - both times I was very impressed with the staff and their level of service. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. On both my visits the team helped me save money versus the quoted price from the dealership. Highly recommend to all in need of mechanical service.
Its hard to find a contractor that you truly trust. At Midas we feel like we can bring our car there and know they are telling us the truth but also know theyre not trying to sell us stuff we dont need. They are also very friendly and professional. We are long time Leesburg residents and wont take our car anywhere else.
Was brought in on a tow truck for a flat and they immediately tried to sell me TWO tires (first red flag). They also insisted the tire was completely ruined because I drove for awhile (not true) - said this without even taking the car off the truck to look at it. (The place I ended up getting my ONE needed tire from confirmed this was NOT the case.) To top it all off, they were total jerks about the whole thing and became even more rude when they realized I wasnt buying anything from them. I would NEVER take my car there. EVER.
Straight forward, honest, and Ive been pleased with the work theyve done on my vehicle. They tell you what is wrong and give you a recommendation, they arent pushy and do not try to sell you services when you let them know you arent interested. I usually try to steer clear of the chain mechanic shops, but this Midas feels more like a family owned garage than a nation wide chain.
14 years!!! Ive been taking my vehicles there for 14 years and highly, highly recommend it. James and his mechanics are honest and will tell you whether or not they need to perform a particular service before you decide. You can trust them. Myself, my family and friends take their vehicles there.
Midas of Leesburg completely mis-diagnosed my brake problem and tried to charge me almost a grand of unnecessary work. It was either a sloppy diagnostic (they probably did not actually disassemble my brake assembly during the diagnostic, based on how fast they put it back together after I declined their estimate), OR it was simply a borderline scam to replace parts unnecessarily. Either way, what they did was incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable. Background: I brought in my car because of a grinding sound in one of the rear wheels. They said I needed a new brake pad, rotor, and caliper on one side, and because those are often replaced in pairs, I needed all those parts for both rear brake systems (I grant this for pads and rotors, although it is a stretch to say you have to replace both calipers if only one is bad). The estimate was so high (well over a grand) that I took it to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion. The new mechanic discovered that the rotors and calipers were, in fact, completely intact on both sides! One of the brake pads had gotten stuck on something and ground down to metal, but none of the other brake parts were damaged because of it. So, I replaced only both rear brake pads and paid less than 20% of what Midas estimated to me. Midas was not honest with me about any of that. The discussion consisted of them claiming the rotor and caliper parts were bad (again, I suspect that they did not actually take it apart enough to properly diagnose) and making a costly decision for me, rather than giving me enough information to make the decision myself. My rotors and calipers may not be in brand new condition, but they work and do not need replacement like Midas insisted. Trust is the most important factor for me when choosing a mechanic because I rely on true and accurate information to appropriate my limited budget. Midas failed to prove they are trustworthy in this regard.
Theyve always been honest with me about what my car needs to be roadworthy, and I trust them. Ive had good business dealings with them over the past several years, and actually have a Midas card which I use for the pricier repairs, which helps with the overall cost of having an older vehicle.
I am so grateful I found a place to take my car to for repairs and routine maintenance without ripping me off or giving me unrealistic schedules! Thank you so much for your invaluable service! I will not take my car, and any future cars, to anyone else!
Beware- these folks are not honest. My wife took her car with less than 25k miles for an inspection and they provided a bill of items - such as brakes, alignment, tie rods, brake rotors to the tune of 1400 dollars. Luckily she is my wife, and I am a mechanic and she knows a little about vehicles. She told them to put it where the sun dont shine. Took the itemized list to another inspection station down the road and presented this to them for verification. They just laughed and provided the inspection. We are going to report to the BBB. MIDAS is preying on those who dont know any better....
This auto shop has great pricing and the guys that work here are very nice and hospitable. They also explain all car problems in detail and try to work out whats best in your situation. The office is very clean, with many common services and prices listed. The waiting area has coloring books and such for kids, but for a longer stay, you might want to wait at a coffee shop down the street.
I read the reviews for this Midas shop because they were good...well they were right. These guys were nice, prompt and efficient. They are my new car place.
Ive been talking our cars here ever since moving to Leesburg. These guys are great. Weve had all I kinds of things with our older cars and they always figure it out. Honest and upfront about everything.
The service attendants are professionals and very knowledgeable
AWESOME! These guys were very responsive, did not try to sell me extras and fixed what needed to be fixed or half the price of other places! They also got me in same day I dropped it off, got parts and out the door by next day! Will be back for all my future repair needs!
Unbelievably fast and friendly service! Upfront, and reasonable price! They are accommodating!
Excellent and speedy services I walked in and was instantly greeted by friendly staff, they had my car in almost before I sat down. Location is alittle inconvenient but the customer service MAKES UP FOR THAT 10000X over.
Their work is good.
Very honest, I have been going there for years, they have had many opportunities to take advantage of me being ignorant of what needs to be done on a car and they are always upfront and make good recommendations and arent afraid to tell you everything is fine (even if it means not selling me something)
I had to return twice for the same alignment. Then was told it is extremely hard to get the steering wheel perfectly straight. Steering is still 15° off. I will not be back.
Honest, quality work.
These guys rock! Talk about quick, efficient, and professional service with a smile! I will be returning to this service station for all my familys car needs.
Always top notch service - friendly, professional, and expert mechanics.
Ive been going here for years with all types of auto related work and Ive always gotten good honest service.
Experienced shop crew--nice and knowledgeable crew--great to deal with
Best place to get your car fixed.
The guys here are very real with you will show you the problem so you can see your not getting ripped off which is a fear I think most people have with getting a car fixed they had the part already in stock and they are always clear on whats going on
Crappy. They did not put enough oil in my car and I had to pay to have it serviced later because of their negligence. Absurd. Never going back. If I could give zero stars I would.
Honest staff
Helpful and knowledgeable.
Prompt and direct service
They always get it right 👍
Fixed my car
Well
