I really like this liquor store. They have everything I want and their selection of seltzers is top notch. They also did curbside during the pandemic which makes me want to support them even more.

They have just about anything you could want here. Walk-in beer fridge and the different beers have a color code on their price tags. So you know immediately whether its sour, gluten-free, etc. The employees are always friendly and extremely helpful. They really seem to know their stuff. Theyve helped me choose many gifts, since I know very little about spirits and their offerings are quite diverse. Definitely recommend.

If you live near 19th and Mass Street, this is a great choice to be your neighborhood source for beer, wine, and spirits. The prices are comparable to most other liquor stores in Lawrence, KS. The selection is better than average.The staff is friendly. If you walk in and stand around looking like you dont know anything, it wont be long before an employee will walk up and ask if you need help. The beer guys give good recommendations. I cant speak to a lot else, because I mostly drink beer.Beer drinkers have to walk to the very back of the store to get where they want to go. Once they arrive, the selection is one of the better beer selections in Lawrence. There is a cave for all of your domestics and light beers. The back corner (northwest corner, I believe) is where you can find the bombers and other higher-end beers.You really cant go wrong with On The Rocks. Ive had a number of friends who have worked here over the years and none of them have had anything bad to say about the way the place is run, which is always something I look for when supporting a local business.

Great selection of liquor. Larger than average sized store, so theyll more than likely have what you need. They also have good keg rental services and prices. Never a bad experience here, but sometimes the cashiers arent particularly excited to check people out. Ive never been offered a receipt, either. Ive never had to return alcohol, but I dont want to remember to ask for a receipt every time I buy there.

If you’re a disabled veteran, do not go to this store! Not once, but twice, my disabled veteran husband was asked to move his truck because he was parked in a handicap parking spot. Even after he pointed out his correctly labeled license plate, and how it states “disabled veteran,” he was asked by a second store employee to move his truck. For the future, just because someone does not visibly show that he or she is disabled does not mean they are not deserving of said plate, which is not easily accessible mind you, does not give you the right to question the government. This establishment would rather embarrass a regular customer on a slow Sunday night and question them on how deserving they are of this parking spot, again, twice! 4 tours overseas made this man very deserving. On the rocks is my favorite liqour store in town. Huge wine selection. Huge craft beer selection. Their spirit selection is super big and only keeps getting bigger. Very knowledgeable staff about what your drink of choice is. On top of the staff being helpful they have wine enthusiast, beer advocates, and in house opinions about hundreds of the choices in the store.

If it’s distributed in Kansas, they probably have it, and have it by the bottle so you can try one before buying a six pack.The wine and liquor selection is great. On the Rocks delivered the liquor for my wedding and they were fantastic. They were very easy to work with when planning the order and the delivery was perfect. Hands down, the best liquor store in Lawrence. Ive frequented this place for the last 18 months for good reason. The selection of beer, wine, and spirits is unparalleled to any other liquor store in Lawrence (including Cork & Barrel.) The staff has always been polite, courteous, and helpful.My favorite experience was one I had today. I called On The Rocks to see if they had Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in 1/6 bbl. kegs in stock. Sarah told me that they did not have them in stock, but offered to order one for me. She asked when I wanted it and I said I was hoping for tomorrow (friday.) She called me back within 15 minutes of the original conversation to let me know that the keg will be waiting for me tomorrow afternoon. Thats some amazing customer service!

Also - its worth a visit to an actual liquor/beer store in Lawrence because apparently the grocery stores can only sell 3.2% beer. (Found that out the hard way.)

This used to be our go to liquor store but its not anymore! One of the employees made me feel uncomfortable in the beer cave the other day. He was rude. He told me everything they had back here they had up front. Which was not true the case I bought they did not have up front.
