Unfortunately, construction on the street in front of Sweet Somethings Bakery had closed the street off to traffic and made actually getting to the bakery a bit of a chore. But the extra effort was more than worth it. My wife and I had an almond croissant and a sticky bun, both being among the best we had ever tasted. The kitchen is in full view from the counter and it was entertaining to watch the bakers at work while we savored each bite. The staff were friendly and courteous, as well as eager to discuss the history of their shop and the city of Laurel. I would strongly recommend you make the extra effort necessary to get to the bakery while the street outside is torn up. You will be amply rewarded.

They have a variety of choices and some of the best sweets. Great place for a sweet tooth. I came from Miami and was looking for a bakery and was lead here. Best choice ever.

This place is not for the average sweet toother. Sticky buns are really serious business. If you are diabetic be careful, if you aint diabetic be careful. Cookies are great, wide variety of sweets to choose from and you can sit and wash it down with some COLD milk.

Absolutely a must. We came through town for the weekend as we are huge Home Town fans, and we were pleasantly surprised with Lee’s. We stopped in on our last morning for breakfast and coffee and wish we had stopped in earlier.

Oh my goodness talk about yummy bakery! It was awesome. The coconut cream pie, the cheese cake pie was so light and fluffy. It was a little bit of heaven. Highly recommended this place

Oh, get there early!!! Yestetday all but a few kinds of cupcakes and cookies were gone by noon. I ordered a half dozen cinnamon rolls to pick up this morning. Wow! Huge, fresh rolls bathed in white frosting.....were going down the road savoring one. The steering wheel might be a bit sticky!

OMG!!!! If you like Caramel and Pecans, the Caramel Pecan Cookies Are To Die For!!!!!! So delicious!!! Soft and Chewy, Mouth Watering Yumminess!!! If I had stayed much longer, I’d have weighed many pounds heavier! I could have easily eaten 6 cookies myself!! So good!!!

Walking in the doors was a wonderful olfactory delight. It was very pleasant and had a warm atmosphere of hospitality that is missing in too many places. I had a few questions and the two employees were happy to answer them, and provide very good suggestions. I purchased several items, all of which were delicious, but the sticky buns were fabulous! I will be back and I recommend them very highly, and it will not break your bank either, it is very reasonable, and I would pay more for the service to such delectable treats.

So, this picture is obviously after the fact, that is, after we have thoroughly enjoyed my birthday cake. I asked for almond, although not on the menu, they had no problem in baking a delicious almond 10 cake with chocolate icing. The cake is 3 tiers and can feed more than a typical 10 cake. (like maybe 10-15 people?) Job well done and very delicious!

Pecan Sticky Bun and Cream cheese muffin was delicious. However, the strawberry sheet cake with buttercream icing was a disappointment. No strawberries in the cake. Perhaps made with only strawberry gelatin. Quite a disappointment as I had seen the bakery featured on Home Town on HGTV. Waste of $26.

Such a lovely bakery! I went in yesterday not knowing what I wanted. The ladies suggested the caramel apple cheesecake and petite fours. So glad I went with their suggestions! The best cheesecake ever! I wish I had gotten more. And my kids love the petite fours.

The scones were my husband’s favorite! We stayed above the bakery so we’d go downstairs to get items for the day, only to find that the selections were limited.

The breakfast croissant was most flavorable and lightest pastry ever eaten. My husband and I visited Laurel for my birthday days ago. The service at the bakery was very inviting and the cookies we had were soooo delicious we brought dozens home for our family. Would highly recommend the bakery a must stop when visiting the town. Service was excellent and owner was very friendly.

Do it! Yes... DO IT!!! If you dont, your life will be empty. The apple pie cheesecake is... is... well I dont have an adequate word to convey enormity of how good it is.

Great buttermilk pie. So sad there was no coffee available even though there was coffee pot and all the condiments on the counter. Two customers in a row asked for coffee but were told by the girl at counter they weren’t making any. Cold drinks were available and they did give me a cup of water since I don’t drink soft drinks. But, I sure did want coffee with my pie. I would have paid a generous amount for it!

We visited this cute shop after flying 1730 miles from Utah! Amber helped us decide on what we wanted, which was everything! Vanilla cupcake was like a cloud in my mouth. The absolutely most delicious frosting ever tasted. Cinnamon rolls was out of this world! Caramel pecan cookie was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Chocolate chip m&m cookie loaded with m&m and chocolate chips. Go visit the best pastry shop on the planet!!! Thanks Amber for being so kind and helpful!

My first visit to sweet somethings was the most pleasant visit a person could ask for.. however on today my encounter was unpleasant and difficult I tried to accommodate the baker designer in designing my cake with different scenarios I thought she could accomplish however there no options she provided.. I wanted a Mickey Mouse cake for my son second bday i did not want fondant she stated they don’t do fondant which was fine.. I stated that I wanted a two tier cake she stated that they don’t stack cakes I would have to stack it myself..at that point I still remain professional still coming up with different ideas for this cake to happen for my son bday she showed me a cake she couldDo it was stacked I didn’t say anything about it and she showed me an edible design with Mickey Mouse photographed on the top stated i would have to purchase the paper myself giving they was out of that edible paper which was stillFine i could do that but it wasn’t really a good cake for a boy but later I saw she had made several cakes and has posted several tier cakes.. that part is fine I don’t know whether today was just the not a good day because of all the racism things going on in the world or what was the situation today but I was very unhappy with the outcome a simple I just don’t want to make that cake would have been suffice enough.

This bakery is like stepping back in time. It is absolutely adorable and had a great selection. We got a chocolate pastry, an almond pastry, a sugar cookie, and some sausage balls. Everything was delicious! If you are in Laurel you must stop at Sweet Somethings.

This is by far the best bakery i have been to in a long time and the cinnamon rolls especially are the greatest. An awesome hidden gem in such a small little town.

Service was not very good. Also no labels on anything so you kind have to guess what is what. But I did get the cheesecake brownie and it was super yummy.
