The Ft. Meade Auto Center is a professional operation with courteous and attentive customer service oriented mechanics. I went to them to do my all-important car inspection. The car inspection cost $78.00s and they were done in a respectable amount of time. I usually take my car to the dealer, but this shop is a place you can trust. Ft. Meade Auto Center is a gem that comes highly recommended.

Fort Meade Auto is trustworthy. They charge reasonable rates for their work and do not try to up-sell you on stuff. If at all possible, I recommend calling ahead for an appointment.

I went here for the MD State Inspection after reading multiple reviews from other inspection sites. I came here 15 minutes before the appointment time, and they took my car right in for inspection. The place have a waiting area with TV, plus snack and drink available for purchase. The process took about 1 - 1.5 hrs depend on the condition of your vehicle. Best of all they have military discount, even on the inspection.

The guys are super helpful and accommodating. I always bring my car in when it needs servicing, which is frequent🙃 because my car is old.

Extremely honest people here--expected to pay $500 for a new starter (and an oil change), but they eventually realized it was just an issue with loose cables and I walked away with just a small bill for labor and the oil change. They easily could have ripped me off and gotten away with it. I dont leave many reviews but the service was excellent and Im grateful, so its a wholehearted 5 star and recommendation from me.

Nice staff - inspection done in a reasonable amount of time.

One day I was driving to work and after stopping at a traffic light I turned the engine off due to a high idle rpm. When I turned the key to re start the engine my truck would not run. It was towed to Fort Meade Auto Center and the technician diagnosed the problem as a loose ground connection on the battery. They promptly repaired the problem and did not charge me an outrageous fee for the work. I have had my AC repaired there and also a camshaft synchronizer replaced. The front and rear brakes have also been serviced at Fort Meade Auto Center .Also, I would like to point out that this repair shop will not try to charge you for unnecessary diagnostics or repairs. All of the work that that they have done on my 2003 Ford Ranger has functioned perfectly and the fees are always reasonable. If you want quality work done by skilled and honest mechanics go to Fort Meade Auto Center and nowhere else !

This is one of the very few MD Inspection businesses that stayed open in this pandemic, and gave me an immediate appointment. We have just moved from NC to MD. I needed them because I was being threatened by the North Carolina DMV, to revoke my NC license plates and registration if I didnt return my them NOW. But I could not do that because I couldnt get an inspection of my car during the business lockdown, which also meant two things:1. If I returned my NC plates, I wouldnt be able to drive anywhere without MD plates, which I couldnt have gotten without this inspection.2. We are both 70+ years old. If we couldnt drive to the pharmacy and grocery store, we likely couldnt go on.I hope that anyone who sees this will support this business.

The folks at Fort Meade Auto Center are fantastic and know their stuff.I had a 2003 Isuzu Rodeo that was stalling out within 1/4 mile of being driven... I took it to AAA Crofton at first. They examined/diagnosed the vehicle, and promptly said they couldnt work on it due to one of the diagnosis error codes (out of 4) being returned. They said this despite the fact I had specifically asked them to check certain aspects of the throttle/gas intake system.After making multiple calls to multiple places, I was recommended to Fort Meade Auto. I spoke to Clay and explained the situation, and he was understanding. I was able to get the vehicle towed from AAA to Fort Meade that evening (Wednesday evening). Clay did tell me they were busy, and it might not be until Monday before they had a chance to look at the vehicle.But the next day... I get a call from Clay. They had a chance to look at the vehicle, and cleaned up the Mass Airflow Sensor as well as the fuel intake system (both of which were mentioned to AAA-Crofton) - and the Rodeo was no longer stalling, and the diagnostic codes related to the throttle were gone as well.Fort Meade Auto provided great service, great communication, and a great price! Highly recommended.

Called a bunch of places and was told either they were booked, that it would have to be dropped off and or it would be an all day thing. We are a military family just moved to fort Meade from Fort Carson in Colorado, my husband had a busy day ahead of him so i figured I had to bring my daughter along so that way we could finally get our only vehicle inspected and registered ! I called Fort Meade Auto center and Clay scheduled us right away and what I though would be 2-2 1/2 hours waiting turned out to be what felt like less then an hour! He even offered me the remote to put on the Disney channel for my daughter to watch her cartoons while we waited ! Passed inspection with wonderful customer service, very professional, great price and will definitely recommend to friends 👌🏽 There was also a 10% discount ! Ft Meade Auto Center has taken care of 2 of my vehicles numerous times and have provided excellent service whenever I have come in. Theyve provided free estimates for me a few times and have helped me when money was tight. When they do work on my vehicle, its always a quick turn around, usually within 24 hours.I can vouch that the previous owner seemed a bit shady but the technicians have taken care of my vehicles for the past 5 years.

Went in for state inspection, got the usual everything is good except... - got the needed correction and was all good. They have electronic system so no need to take cert no. to dealer or mva, its all done automatically. Seems like a pretty standard mechanic shop.

Great guys, great quality, and good price. They tell you how it is and try to help out as much as possible. They really care about the customer and I’ll be coming here while we are stationed here the next three years.

E85! This is the only local place to me that carries it. Its also 24/7 availability for e85 (even after closing hours) never had any issues. Please keep these guys in business! We need e85 in Baltimore!!

I am not a patron of this shop. However, I was doing work behind their facility and they dump old used tires in an environmental sensitive state recognized wetland. If they are this lazy at removing tires and just dump them I can only imagine how they treat your vehicle.

Worker was completely rude. Would not allow us to enter the building at all, wouldnt let us use the restroom. Would NEVER go there again.

They were closing the store. I had a flat tire. The nice young man went back inside, grabbed the items and fixed my tire.

Dave, if I was so environmentally concerned about the wetlands, I sure as hell would have taken the issue up with the management and not made a fool of myself by posting an absurd comment like that on the internet that wasnt in the least based on fact. LoL! Have you taken the time to apologize to the owner or issued a retraction? Anyway, Clay and John are the best. They get all my A/C business. They also replaced the motor in my electric car so they arent afraid of techy-type stuff either. Five stars from me.

Went for the e85 which is cheaper than most other places I have checked. Google Maps says theyre closed weekends but I just called on a Saturday and confirmed theyre actually open.
