The woman on the phone was kind of rude and disrespectful saying there wasnt going to be a vehicle available till 11am but we got dropped off at the location at 7 am when they opened. So we walked in and a friendly guy gave us the keys to the van wayyy way way before the 11am reservation
As I was waiting in line, a previous customer returned to the counter to report the gas tank is only 3/4 full. He was quickly dismissed with a statement to report it on the link he received via text. So imagine my surprise when my trucks fuel was also 3/4 full, but by the time I attempted the texted link, it expired and the business was then closed. Although I took before and after pics, I felt forced to fill the tank to avoid the $4 per gallon rate and the $30 service fee, and to top it all off, I received a call the next morning inquiring when I would be returning the truck. I informed the caller my driver and I returned it last night before my 4 hour window and parked it in the exact spot we retrieved it from. Then I was told I didnt leave the keys in the drop box. Before I could contact my driver, I received a text (no apology or a my bad) saying they found the keys. Upon writing this review. I just checked my final U-Haul receipt and noticed I was changed a $20.00 after hours service fee. Whereas I do see the fine print on my receipt indicating this fee, there was no mention of the fee as I was completing the rental. Had I taken the time to read all the fine print, I would have declined to rent at that time. This location (5316 Boulder HwyLas Vegas 89122) is highly unprofessional and sketchy. I will not rent at this location again.
Returned a car hauler here from LA. Very quick to check in and service was great. Quickest turnaround at a Uhaul facility I have ever experienced. Will make this my go-to for any needs in the future.

I needed to pick up a U-haul after hours. I called twice to make sure my U-haul would be available.When I arrived to pick up my U-haul, it was blocked in by other U-hauls. Customer service could not provide a solution other than booking a hotel and picking it up in the morning.Picked it up in the morning. Tire looked slightly bald but didnt think much of it. Tire blew out 20 miles down the road.
There was one professional individual at location and surprisingly it was the youngest guy there which is why I gave the 3 stars very polite guy (I assume when your the youngest you feel you have to push a little more to keep a job in this day and age)which is good for him he should train his co-workers on the meaning of providing excellent customer service skills. I felt like I was in someone’s garaged family business definitely not a welcoming environment from staff.Seems like they are depressed no welcome or how can I assist just kind of stands there and looks. I know older people can be a bit tired but customer service says a lot about an establishmentIt’s quite a shame the GM previous to the one now at least had the employees be polite and made it easy to come and utilize service seeing as though I come in often .This new woman kind of plays around and jokes around with staff instead of letting them deal with customers and save the outside chatter for down time not during business transactions which I assume that is why they are the way they are.The energy is very dull and unwelcoming. I asked to speak to manager and had no idea she was standing right there due to the fact no one but she had a badge on and was not very much a good example of what a leader is. Couldn’t really put her on a separate caliber in profession.
This store was exceptional! The staff members were polite, patient, professional and happy to help me, and others I saw being assisted! I was very impressed with the kind professionalism!

This place has been great since Rhonda took over management! I got a storage unit here and the store as well as storage is always clean. I have rented trucks and trailers as well and received nothing but exceptional service! However I will put some of the commenters on blast, First to the guy and the propane tank- 10/12 year no fill which you rated U haul 3 stars despite the fact that it is not U haul that set these rules. NOBODY should be filling expired tanks! If someone is filling your expired tank they put you and people around you in harms ways... You should be grateful someone is a By the book person looking out for you when it comes to handling propane- Propane is dangerous if you DO NOT follow guidelines and protocols set by the manufacturers it results in injury / death.To the person with Gas issue... You FILL the tank up to the amount that was in it when you rented it. It is on your paperwork or you get charged! Nobody is a exception ... Your comment was negative because you messed up not U Haul.Any comment passed a year from my comment date no longer applies as those people are no longer at that store location.To Miss paid reviews- Been a year so where is my check? You seem to know where to get one tell us!

Only location in the area that answered the phone and got us in and out really quick. Called ahead of time and told them I would need a truck asap. Laron was very nice and courteous over the phone and when we arrived to pick up. Even held the door for my mom. Thank you I will be coming back again when I move :-)

After reserving our truck online, the check in was soooo simple and we felt with the General Manager and she was so great. Even at 7am yesterday morning, she was so polite and took care of everything for us. She gave us additional information and confirmation test texts to make sure we had everything we needed. I DEF recommend this location for future u-haul experiences, her alone made it worth the drive.
Ronda and her staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. They made sure I hade exactly what I needed and only what I needed. Ronda’s leadership was evident in all of her team members. They were polite, professional and as I said very accommodating. If I have to drive across town formy rental needs, I will make sure it is at Ronda’s Boulder Highway location.
I came to this location to drop off a car dolly from LA. The two guys on the night shift (1/4/2021) rolled their eyes as we were driving up. We could tell they were irritated or tired...understandable. But they projected their attitudes into us the whole time while we kept thanking them. We left but had an important question so we called, but they kept picking up the phone and hanging up. It’s an hour before closing time.
98,000 miles on the 20 truck I rented ran like it was brand new, absolutely spotless inside and smelled great. Truck was is great condition inside and out, and both Markus and Chris made pickup and drop-off so easy. Thanks to all!
Stopped here on 8/11/2020 to have two 20lb LP tanks refilled. Mickey arrived within 2 minutes of pushing the red service button. She was professional, courteous, and friendly. This was my first visit here and will not be my last as long as they employ folks like Mickey. Keep up the good work.
This is the most unprofessional U-Haul Ive ever rented from. I rented a truck on back to back days. Both days no employees were in the front, just a gentleman that said he was off. Outside washing his car with some ladies was the employee that was suppose to help us rent our truck. Next day, same thing, same guy in the front said he cant help, went looking for the guy. Waited a for him to come on both days. Extremely unprofessional in his demeanor. Constantly was yawning to the point where he had to stop our paperwork to yawn (with noises), stretch, and wipe his nose and face with his hands. He did not go over the truck with us, but told us to match the numbers up. What numbers?On the second day of returning the truck, I got there at 6:50, everything was already locked and closed. I knocked on the door because they are suppose to close at 7pm. Same unprofessional employee came to the door, didnt even open it, said we have to do the night drop. He then turned around and walked away. Not knowing what a night drop is to what to do I called the 800 number to complain. Why am I being charged for an extra day when I came in on time?Someone from the head office should review the security feeds from that location. Employees are stealing time from this company. Employees do what they want when they want. There were two other clients that came minutes after me. One wanting to rent a trailer, the other one returning one. That $ gone because they closed early. This location needs a new staff. I will take all future business to the Uhaul on Russell and Stephanie

Service was absolutely horrible was trying to reserve a Van online was told I couldnt do it online had to come in and when I came in they say we had to do it online and they close right at 4:59 they telling me to be there at 5. Then they were very rude about telling me. Do not recommend anyone read anything from their. I will not be going back to that location.
Answer phones in a timely manner. Called to have my reserve time pushed forward no one ever answered so I had to take the 15 minute drive just so I can tell them in person that I needed to push my reserve time forward. Another customer came in rite behind me with the same complaint that no one answers the phone. When I went to return trailer they had me wait while they figured out something with their system, wich had nothing to do with me or any customer it could have waited instead of having me wait just to tell me someone outside would inspect the trailer that I was returning. U-haul needs to improve on customer service as well as their management.
Chris was awesome service person: came to me in the parking lots, meter our need with the correct camper power plugs (rang up our purchase at the register, and then in the heat of the day came out and showed us (under the my truck/camper and in the heat of the) how to install it. I give him a FIVE-STAR customer satisfaction rating.
It was a very pleasant experience, great customer service and very convenient after hours drop off. I would definitely recommend this location.

I rented van for 1 day, in town, estimated 20 miles. When I returned van today, I was charged $281.87.When I addressed the error, it took 45 minutes for them to correct it (the guy at the counter, Markus Hall) couldnt figure out what the problem was after having it explained repeatedly. Perhaps he just didnt know how to correct it in computer but instead of asking for help from manager or someone else more experienced with the computer, he just kept staring at computer, trying to figure out the problem. Finally, manager stepped in and instead of explaining to her the problem, and that he needed help with corrections, she looked at the incorrect invoice and explained to me the excessive charges to my credit card. I explained to her (for the 4th time overall), it was rented in-town with estimate 20 miles. When your people make an error, admit it, and fix it - PERIOD.FINALLY all was corrected AND then I was told, I would have to wait 3-5 days to have the rest of my money returned to my card, in excess of $243.46 which was a result of their mistake, not mine.Poor customer service, poor listening skills, and poor resolution skills.
The trailer I reserved was not available when I arrived. There was no apology from the owner, instead she made me feel like it was my fault for having my reservation messed up. I was also given an undo amount of hassle for having an out of state license. I have rented other times in both Nevada and California with an out of state license with no hassle. I will not be returning to this location for any reason (and I used to buy propane there regularly).
Michiko Mickey Willis, the Geneal Manager at the U Hall on Boulder Hwy is awesome! If it were not for her the store would not function like it dose. She is able to both help customers and orchestrate her staff at the same time. All I can say is that she has made my all month long move bearable. By my 2nd visit she was calling me by name and very personable. Overall she is doing a great job and deserves some recognition for that! Thanks Mickey!
Save yourself aggravation, time and money by doing it yourself with uhaul!!I would HIGHLY recommend using the 15 foot uhaul to move across country rather than using a moving company! 2 moving companies quoted me, then bait and switched me. I had me to figure out how to stay with in my moving budget a day before I had to vacate my home that I sold. I ended up using uhaul, hiring some men to load my Uhaul and driving and doing everything myself! I shouldhave planned using uhaul in the very beginning. I could have saved myself a lot of stress and nightmare of dealing with moving brokers and moving companies who we’re trying to rip me off.This cross country move taught me that consumers cannot and should not trust any moving companies. Do it YOURSELF or read every review from the moving company you seek to use.DO NOT use Northern Moving Systems nor Colonial Moving! They will quote you a price then at the last minute, take inventory again and triple your price. They will take a large deposit from you also! Don’t do it. They will try to bully you and force you into using them after they change your quoted price. They will tell you everything you want to hear to get your business and then bait and switch you. Buyer beware and buyer do it yourself!Use UHAUL if possible. If you feel you can’t drive, it would be better to find a friend or relative to drive with you. I also got the Uhaul insurance. It was well worth it.The uhaul truck was comfortable and easy to drive. It was fuel efficient and reasonably priced. At the end of the day, I knew exactly where my things were (safe with me!)!Customer service from booking, to pick up to drop off were very helpful and friendly. I felt safe using uhaul.I traveled alone, cross country and arrived all in one piece. Be sure to plan your trip with the highway weather app. I’m very happy! Thank you UHaul!
Wow, just read the most recent review, and they are clearly paying for good reviews. The actual truth is - If you want to have hate filled staff take their anger out on you, this is the place to go. I got eye rolls and condescending tone. I walked right out and rescheduled at another location. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else.
Great friendly service @Harmon on Boulder, they treat everyone equal with the same amount of courtesy & respect. Ive been a customer of U-Haul since I have been in business since Day 1 from renting a U-Haul truck & driving to the pro audio sound store in VIRGINIA back on the east coast in DMV area & buying my first pro audio stage set up. Im not surprised that U-Haul is still a leading competitor, & the BRAND has been in the rental & storage business established this long. Its a good established GO TO BRAND. #*E.G.B*

Moving day sucks and all of my 2 experience with Uhaul hasnt been the best BUT the location at Boulder hwy changed our perspective completely.We did the mobile app so I would avoid talking to people. A young lady acknowledge that I was having trouble and helped me, there wasnt anything she could do because it was out of her hands (the mobile app wasnt working loading my contract ) But she took that extra step in helping me, even finding my truck with me just walking around SHE KNEW WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!Thank you Thank you for all your Help this morning.This location and its amazing team made me feel welcomed and appreciate as a customer and as a person.Returning the truck was easy and we had to go inside to get my receipt and again I was greeted and made me feel welcomed and asked how everything was with my move.Need more people like the team of employees that worked today. Thank you everyone for all the amazing hard work you do even with this heat and still put on a smile.Restored my faith with Uhaul.We are moving soon again and I know just what location to go to.Thank you all so much!The Johnsons
Worst experience ever!
I needed a cargo van for the day to move some furniture. Overall, a positive experience. Everybody I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The downsides were two:1. They wouldnt let me park my car there for the day while I was out in their van. They suggested I park it next door at the casino, which I did, but I felt like a trespasser.2. The price was high. I got the 19.95 a day cargo van, and it wound up costing $50.00 for the day. The charges were: $19.95 for the rental, $10.00 for the insurance and $0.59 per mile X 26 miles, or $15.34. Tax brought it up to $49.25. Theres no getting around the fact that $50 to put $26 miles on their van is pretty expensive, so dont think this is going to be cheap.That said, the people were friendly and professional. So if youre going to rent from U Haul, this is a great location to use.

I asked for information about renting a trailer to haul our two motorcycles across country. They explained that the one I wanted to rent wasnt big enough and that our jeep probably would have trouble hauling them. I appreciated their info. I also have been buying boxes and packing our home up. I have excellent service from everyone who works there.
Rented a Ubox from this UHaul location. This was my 5th Ubox I have rented. The 4 previous were rented out of San Diego. The customer service at Boulder Uhaul was so much more enjoyable and pleasant. What literally took over an hour for each box rented in San Diego, took less than 5 minutes at Boulder. Mickey was fabulous, friendly and knew her store and system...cannot say the same for employees in San Diego. They seem to struggle with every aspect of the renting process. Thanks again!!

When I didnt have a working vehicle and I needed to get my boyfriend to L.A. as quick as possible for a medical emergency, U-Haul was kind enough to loan me a suitable truck to transport him in, even though I didnt have a credit card. They accepted a cash deposit (that was refunded when I came back with the truck), and made sure the truck I was borrowing was in perfect shape to be driving all the way to Las Vegas.The people behind the counter were very kind, understanding, and patient with me, even when I was clearly upset and spasy because of my concern for my boyfriend.This U-Haul store did something similar for me a few years ago as well, and I am very grateful to their trust and care for my needs.The truck I rented, a pickup, definitely was meant to be a work truck though, and I wouldnt consider it a pleasure cruise if you need to go long distances. Thats was my only drawback though. Otherwise, Im all about this U-Haul store next time I need to rent a truck. (Thanks Guys!)

Manager is extremely rude was not willing and did not want to help solve a problem that was on their end will never use them again. Ive now waited over a week for them to solve the issues and they still have not. Here are screen shots of all the miles I drove that day. They claimed I drove 80 miles that day but if we look at all the miles I drove before I get to the uhaul to the full day after I returned the uhaul including making the exact same trip I did to prove I didnt drive 80 miles my millage does not add up to what they charged and they refuse to take care of it

They lied about the amount of gas and charged me despite me showing photo evidence that it was refilled even more than what it was when I picked it up and they charged me an insane rate to put more gas in.

I will never use Uhaul again, our new motorhome broke down and we had to pay 240.00 to have their equipment towed back to them. The man on the phone was very nice but couldnt help. Pray that if you breakdown you have a malfunction with a tire or an issue with their trailer. Thats the only way to get a tow. The Uhaul employee I spoke to suggested I make it look like a flat happened on the road. All total, that Uhaul that we had for 10 hours cost us close to 600.00. Integrity is worth more to me than saving some of that money.
Made hitch install appointment to this Uhaul location. Manager said there hitch bay was broken and could not do the install and sent me to another Uhaul facility. Why didnt Uhaul customer service center know this issue at this location? Purposely made this install appointment to this facility because it was close to a casino. It was a hot July 5th so asked if Uhaul had a shuttle or a way to the casino while I wait for the install, it was only 2 miles away and they said no. And he pointed to two chairs people wait on sitting but having a spine condition sitting for a long time was out of the question. Another place this Uhaul sent me to do the install was 6 miles away from the casino, ask again, if they had away back to the casino while I wait but they also said no. This install was about or close to $500 or more but they didnt want the business. I ended up canceling everything and decide to drive the car instead of hauling it home via tow hitch to Arizona.Uhaul has been the go to place in the past for moving and hauling but now I am changing to Penske. Planning two big moves in the near future to a new home and Uhaul is not getting my business.
It takes 3 people at the counter and 20 minutes just to handle 1 customer. Unacceptable the general manager was just talking about lunch and complaining about customers in front of customers....

I live in st George Utah about 120 miles from las vegas . so when my son and I needed to rent a cardolly to tow a car that we had purchased back to S.G. my son went to a U-Haul store not the one on boulder Hwy. he was told that he could not rent or tow a trailer or dolly with his jeep cus it did not have a hard top.so we ask a friend to drive from st George to las vegas with a truck so we could rent a dolly, but when he got to the U-Haul store (not the one on boulder hwy) 1/28/14 6:30pm he was told that they had no one way dollys to rent, but it they to the U-Haul store on boulder Hwy they had one and hewould reserve it for him. so my friend rusted over to the boulder store and got there at 6:55 pm but was told that he was to late and was ask to leave the office.so my friend wasted his time and the gas for his truck to go the 240 miles because your employee was not willing to stay a few extra minutes. now today I call and ask to talk to the manger but he wasto busy to come to the plone. but was told he/she would call me back...so far no call
