I travel a lot. I mean, a LOT a lot. And when I get to a new city, especially if Im going to be there a while, its important to establish a base, a tribe. Well, how lucky was I to find Perk Up the FIRST morning in Vegas?! Outstanding coffee, the friendliest (and SASSIEST) service west of the Mississippi, and an inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home IMMEDIATELY.Its tucked away in the South Highlands shopping center and the staff made me feel as much like a friend as any of the folks Ive met and/or known here in Nevada. Between the high quality of their refreshments and the amazing reception and interaction, youd be hard-pressed to find a better spot for your caffeine or snack hook-up. I LOVE YALL, PERK UP COFFEE SHOP!

Best food I had during 4 days visit to Vegas.. We stopped for breakfast at this charming little cafe on our way back home. I had turkey-eggs-cheese croissant sandwich and hazelnut latte. Sandwich was so delicious, it was delightful experience after 3 days of eating overpriced non-tasty food on Vegas Strip. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. Must try.

Why do I keep coming here? Each time I wait patiently and it takes over 45 min to get out of here. And nobody cares. Plus they are super worried about mask placement on their patrons faces. The cdc already lifted the mask restrictions more than a week ago.

Good taste, the drinks are delicious. They tend to run out of pastries later in the afternoon so go here early. Great place to quickly grab a coffee if your nearby.

Great tasting coffee ...much much better than starbucks... just off the highway heading our of Vega. Service was excellent. Will be our go to coffee place even for my husband who swears by starbucks...not anymore...

Opens early! I made a simple order: croissant sandwich with bacon and fruit on the side paired with a latte. The sandwich was savory, buttery and delicious, I found the latte to be a delicious chocolaty espresso enveloped in velvety hot milk. I loved my fruit, cool and refreshing. I highly recomend and will be coming back.

I just got a latte there and it is amazing! It tastes a lot like the lattes I had in Europe. Sooo much better the Starbucks and less cost. Plus they have a drive-thru☺

I havent been here in awhile as I moved away. Was on my way to Starbucks but then I thought, why not go local. I walked in and it looked just as I remembered almost 4 years ago, which is cool because I love the decor. They have plenty of seating and books to read if you like. I ordered a double espresso, which is my go to order at any coffee shop. Not only is their espresso better than Starbucks, its cheaper too. The service was quick and friendly. Im happy that I decided to go here instead of my usual routine. Will definitely make it a point to visit more.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and the drive through was empty. Drinks were very syrupy and my iced drink was more like warm. Both of the drinks we got needed to be mixed more. Pricing is about $5 a drink.

Not the best, wish the vibe was a little more welcoming. Coffee is just ok, the food can definitely get a refresh.Bad Owl or Subrise are the two best coffee shops in town. Wish this place would be more like them....

Bland basic coffee small menu would not recommend

Expected a small coffee shop like this to be busier. Walked and understood why...Unclean, still had christmas decorations on the windows and the entire place smelled of sour milk. Coffee was extremely hot and bland. The whole place needs a serious makeover.

I love there chi tea and there sandwiches.

The coffee is good, but I get saving money by putting your young child on the register, but PLEASE make sure she puts in the right order. Handing me a small coffee when I asked for large (paid for on the receipt as large) isnt great service. I let it slid because shes young & cute, but have her write down what we drink instead of letting the barista guess.*** update they did fix the problem & gave me a large. And Im not lying to anyone when I say its good coffee & great atmosphere!

After reading plenty of positive reviews for this place, I decided to give it a shot. Friendly staff, not busy at all, but if they had more than one employee behind the counter I think I would have gotten my items a lot quicker than the almost fifteen minutes that it took. Delicious sandwich but very dry pastries. Although there is more milk than espresso in any latte, it was unfortunately all I could taste. Not enough coffee flavor for me. Not worth the $25. Will probably stick to my usual drive-thru.

If you want some good fresh coffee without going to that other place thats on every corner and always packed, Perk Up can be our little secret!Lots of interesting and unique flavors and mixes.Really cozy atmosphere, places to cozy up and read or study, and a fully stocked book shelf if youre into that. The staff is always friendly and attentive too. :)

Great coffee for a good price. Only thing keeping me from 5 stars is that they can be a little slow in the mornings. Definitely still my daily coffee shop.

Loved everything. Friendly staff, very good coffee and food. Books to read, comfy chairs by a fireplace. Clean restrooms with changing stations. It is also a drive through. Stopped here on our way through the state. Will stop by again on our next trip.

Told at drive through order speaker that breakfast sandwiches will take 15 mins (2 cars in front of me)so I passed on it and ordered Chai latte. I get to window to pay and told sandwiches won’t take that long now and was puzzled how it changed so quickly. When I passed a second time was told no regular Chai left.Sorry, but won’t be back. Do better.

Found this little gem while heading out for a hike. Very friendly service, clean, and simple menu. Loved the Robin’s Neat special! Cappuccino was tasty. Highly recommend this nice neighborhood stop.

Nice pit stop on our way through Vegas. The owner was very friendly. Food and coffee were delicious. The owner gave us 2 free muffins for our trip and a dog treat for our dog! Great experience!

The poor girl at the counter was constantly interrupted by the woman who was working the drive thru yelling at her. For some reason it was just the two of them working so they were forced to run back and forth, and it took a long time to get through the line. Coffee was OK. I asked the cashier if it was always like that - with only two people on the floor. She said not at all. Id be willing to give them another try.

Ordered: Decaf Latte w/almond milk. Probably the worst coffee ive ever bought :(. Tasted like hot burnt water w a splash of almond milk. i usually try to drink as much as i can as to not waste money, sadly i could only drink several sips. Threw it away at the Chevron down the hwy.Husband ordered a coffee too, his was served warm, not hot. Disappointed as well. Unless this is a one time fluke, i would not recommend.

If youre from Portland, this place is like Jim & Pattys Coffee had a love child with Dutch Brothers. Not a place for the high brow coffee connoisseur, but if you like straight forward coffee drinks, especially blended drinks, and friendly service give this place a try.

Good coffee drinks, but expensive for small sized cups

I liked the breakfast. Had a little language problem when trying to order coffee (I dont know how i am supposed to prononciate coffee in english but i am pretty shure i said it three times to the waitress.

This is a nice neighborhood shop near one of the rental houses we own. It is much better than Starbucks, unless you like the Starbucks style of coffee.

Walked in, never been there. Waited in line and appeared to only be 2 employees. The lady working the drive thru was yelling at what I thought was the microphone, come to find out it was at the guy in front of us when she made eye contact with him and said if you want a sandwich it will be at least a 30 min as there are 10 sandwiches in front of you. At that point we just politely left. Didnt want to wait 30 min or longer for a sandwich with about 10 people total in the place nor listen to the lady yell while we waited. Never got a chance to try the food/drinks that people review is good. Hopefully others will get to try their food and drinks =)

Maybe Im no longer used to American coffee, but this place made some poor coffees for me.. very hit and miss depending on what time of day you go.Would give 3 stars for coffee quality, but the staff are exceptionally pleasant so one extra star for that.See photo of a cappuccino. Again, maybe Im spoiled from living overseas but this didnt cut it for me, totally wish it could have been a cappuciyes!

Whenever Im visiting a new place, traveling, I google Coffee shops near me. Ive found some of the most amazing coffee shops this way...I love it!Driving from Denver, Colorado to Santa Maria, California took us through Las Vegas and we stayed with friends to break up the trip.I chose Perk Up because it was on our way well past the traffic close to The Strip (otherwise Id have gone to The Beat just off Fremont).There were five of us and Ill admit that for a small place, we may have overwhelmed the place upon entering, but we stood there probably five minutes (seemed like 15) without anyone even acknowledging our presence. To be fair...there were only two women working. But thats part of the problem.The emphasis seemed to be on getting the drive-thru customers orders done and having never been there wanting food, drive-thru wasnt an option.The food selection was meager, at best. My daughter ordered a pumpkin scone and it was just flavorless. There was no detectable sweetness in the scone itself and no glaze or anything on top...just a few sad sprinkles of raw sugar. My sister and niece shared an expensive, not-good sandwich.The coffee wasnt bad, particularly. It just wasnt great.Everything else that happened...the lousy food ($3 sandwiches were microwaved, other sandwiches were $8.50 and just not worth it), the neglectful service, the time it took to get the drinks. We wont be going back on our way back through.

The herb mayo they put on sandwiches is amazing. I love the turkey and swiss on a croissant. Their donuts are great, scones are ok. The main point of the place is there coffee though. Its strange that, even with an extra set of espresso, there is a bladness to their lattes. Even with added flavor, it just isnt as strong or flavorful as Id like. I cant quite figure out why. Overall, its a good place.

Small yet serves up a mean cup of Joe. Sister and Bro in law go there all the time and love it. I stop by the drive thru on the way to work. Delightful staff, always trying to please. This is not a chain, they care about the products they sell. Would choose them over starbucks every time.

Real good! Had a Frappuccino that was blended Espresso Beans and Chocolate Chips. Tasted like a mouth full of Planter Soil.

Im not from Vegas but was in need of a caffeine boost. Their Americano is just what i needed. It wasnt too weak nor over powering. If you are in the area check this place out.

This place is a great stop when leaving Vegas to go home to Cali. Great coffee and bomb af breakfast sandwiches.

Pros: Quiet, clean, peaceful, they sell food items and they dont make their drink overly sweet.Cons: Espresso was a little watery and tea latte was could use a bit more milk.

Again, consistent quality, great service and very enjoyable. All without the in and out rush and crowded competitor down the street. Try and youll be glad you did.
