I recommend this place to anybody! We have a Nissan quest that had been broken down for months and Boone could figure out why. We got the car towed up there in a Wednesday and by Thursday they were calling saying it was done and ready to pick up! At a cheap cost too! I will use this shop again if my car breaks down!

They fixed my vehicle in a timely manner. And the price was very reasonable. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. And yes I would recommend them to friends and family members.

I have never been to this shop however my mother took her Honda accord to them for issues. They told her she needed a new starter. They charged her $600 to put a starter in her Honda Accord. Im not the smartest when it comes to cars and car repairs but even I know that is VERY VERY overpriced. They took advantage of her being a single woman. The most expensive starter for her Honda is $100 and thats the highest price. That means they made at least $500 for a simple job. After she paid for the overpriced starter they offered to make other repairs to her vehicle... (of course $$$) I would not recommend going here for any repairs or issues especially if you are a woman. Doing dirty business in a small town will not get you repeat customers or business. Go to another shop :) Porters Car care will overcharge you.The owner called me about this review to let me know he only uses high quality parts and doesnt over charge... Just so you know...

When I moved to Lancaster, SC, I didnt think Id ever find a mechanic I trusted. I never did in my five years in Charlotte, NC. The third mechanic I tried was Porter Car Care, and I will look no farther. I get straight forward answers, and the prices are unfair to my advantage. When something is beyond their abilities due to lack of equipment, they tell me, and they include the good, the bad, and the ugly in the reports on my vehicle. This lets me know they are honest. I love them so much, I bragged about them to my uncle in Pennsylvania, a master mechanic who is the basis for my judgments of all mechanics.

Great service and great overall experience at a fair price. Wont go anywhere else. Great people to deal with.

Weve had Randy work on our car a couple of times and he always does a fantastic job! Hes very thorough, quick and charges an honest price. We never leave there feeling like weve been ripped off, and I really appreciate that. So many shops Ive been to try to take advantage of me because Im a woman, but Randy is not like that. Im so glad we found his shop because I finally have someone I trust other than my dad to fix our vehicles. I also found out he does the work for our church bus and van, so thats a pretty good recommendation right there!
