Nice little hardware store I do wish they sold nails by the pound though. The people are always helpful and knowledgeable. It would be great if the upstairs and downstairs were a regular part of the store and could sell more items but great overall.

Try to support mom and pop hardware stores, but it’s incredibly inconvenient that I went to buy respirators for one of my crews and they would not let me buy more than one. They claim a shortage, but I don’t understand what the differences between selling them to me or selling it to someone else. Unfortunately this caused them to lose my business because I’m not going to buy one respirator to then go somewhere else to have to buy the rest

What hardware stores used to be like before the rise of the big box stores. I was referred here froma Lowes employee. A little of this and that, extremely helpful staff, personable... with one purchase youve earned my future business whenever I am in town!

Very neat local hardware store, really big interior full of plenty of home appliances items, tools, paints, nearly everything. Great atmosphere and service, found a flea trap that I couldnt find anywhere else! Ill be back again!!

I needed this weird part for my faucet that because of post office issues Ive been waiting on since November. I didnt catch his name, but the guy who helped me was determined to help and Im happy to say that the part he found fit! Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable.

Quick, courteous, knowledgeable service. They have consistently met or exceeded my expectations. I have have very good experiences getting new screens and storm windows made, as well as screens and glass replaced. They seem to always have just about everything in stock. A real, honest to God, hardware store!

Said they’d fix my window screen “in a few days” went back two weeks later & it still wasn’t done. They wouldn’t even consider a refund. Went back THREE WEEKS LATER and not only was it still not done, but they LOST it.EDIT: as you can see by the owner’s reply to this, they are even denying it! I was literally in their store the day I posted this review. Unbelievable.

Always have great service when you get in. This was the third time they were not open at 8 a.m. like they are supposed to be. Had to leave before they opened.....

Needed high quality Abatron wood repair supplies, cheaper to get it here than online. Staff helped locate products quickly. Felt totally safe with their covid setup. Fast transaction, in and out super fast. Also great that their inventory is online. Will start to always check here before the big box stores.

Went here for the first time today after seeing they had a brand of polyurethane I needed. Super friendly guys, clean store, and they have a little parking area so you don’t have to park in the street. I wish I could have found this place sooner, they have a ton of awesome products and the good stuff too! Incredible variety of products, saved me a trip to the nearest woodworking shop too. During the covid 19 pandemic, these guys are doing such a good job! They are full service now, and doing a very good job of it. In an old city like Lakewood, you need a hardware store like this that understands the buildings and what sorts of things people need to make repairs and improvements.

I had a hard time finding the right size drain pipe for my bath tube i had went to almost every single store except here. I all i can say is they were all very nice, helpful, and they knew exactly what i was looking for and they had it in stock. I recommend every one should stop here.

Great little independent neighborhood hardware store. My brother is always able to find what he needs there. Big box stores are ok, but if you dont want to have to walk a quarter mile from the entrance just find what you need, then give this place a look.

Forget Home Depot or Lowes. Shop closer to home. I went there looking for replacement brackets to hold up a shelf in my bookcase and of course they had it !Going into Lakewood Hardware is like going back in time in a very nice, good way. Personalized and knowledgeable service... the way it always used to be and is lacking in these big box stores.

Everyone there so nice courteous and helpful and the store is always clean and in order its a pleasure shopping at Lakewood Hardware.

If you need it, theyll have it, or something good enough to use instead. Theyll offer advice, chew the breeze, or help you through whatever it is youre doing. I can poke around this place for hours and find something new every time. A real treasure trove for anyone who knows his lags from his quicklinks.

This place is great. No matter what sort of project you are doing the staff is willing and able to help you out. Old Lakewood houses sometimes require creative solutions. They know the tricks and never make you feel like a bother. Our city needs this place so please consider stopping here before the big box stores!

Ma & pa, old, wood floor hardware store. Curb & lot parking available. Friendly staff. Tons of stuff in this store. As you walk around you need to be looking up and down as theres some stuff stacked to the ceiling. Theyve really maximized their space here and they have some items here that you wont see at other stores. Give them a try, Ill be back.

It is a rather small hardware store but they do have the basics. One of the employees, a gentleman, was extremely helpful by taking me to the several items that I was looking for. However, when he asked a coworker about an item that they recently had but could not find, he asked her if they would be getting it in again and she just said I dont know in a manner of not caring .

We are keeping warm at home because of our new triple track window made by Glenn and Darryl of Lakewood Hdwe. This was not a repair, but a new construction. Made to order! All services are first rate at this lovely place.

All kinds of stuff, kept very tidily, and a pleasant, knowledgable staff that knows what you need, and where they keep it. And that great hardware store smell, of course. Check it out once -- you will likely stop going to those big places nearly so often.
