This place is waaaaay overpriced for junk basically. Don’t get me wrong, I am a thrift store queen but believe me when I tell you… they are OVER priced for dirty dingy shoes and boots for $40, old fashion dining room table sets for $100, coats for $30 or $40.PLEASE please save yourself a trip and your money and just go to Goodwill, Salvation Army, or Volunteers of America (in North Olmsted).
No dressing rooms and you can’t even buy anything the next day or get someone to price it for you if you find it without a tag. You also can’t leave your name for someone to let you know when it’s back out on the floor. Go to goodwill or another store if you want GOOD service. Also the employees were not nice . Didn’t even get a smile when asking we here things were located in the store otherwise when they told me I couldn’t buy something.
Clean, friendly, & great staff esp the last at the front with all the pins on her uniform ........... I even found a box I bought there once for $1.79 with a secret compartment I found when I got home.... in it was a few hundred dollars of 1800s confederate $ in perfect condition.... I framed it. Perfect place to kill some time & find a REAL treasure. You never know what yo can find here.
Area thrift shop that carries clothing items for men, women, and children. The selection of men’s clothing was better than most thrift shop’s but I was disappointed in many of the prices of items. They do have a color tag sale when a certain color of tag is 50% off, but even then some items were overpriced. They also offer a selection of items other than clothing such as housewares and knick knacks. They did have a few small furniture items available and a display case for jewelry and watches. They also had an area behind the display case that they put any name brand items and asked much higher prices for. The vintage clothing available was also marked much higher than the regular prices. The restrooms had to be asked for and were of very poor quality and in desperate need of a cleaning. The employees were pleasant for the most part.
Some very nice things in store. Due to traffic we arrived at 5:45. They close at 6. The clerk up front said abruptly We close in 5 minutes as soon as we walked in. I said my clock showed they closed in 15 minutes. She said Everyone has to be in line early so we get out on time. We stood in line shortly after they announced it was time to take purchases to front. As we waited for our turn to check out, I got a few more items for my grandchildren while my girl waited in line. Plan to return again.
This is a great place to look for whatever you need. The prices are okay but they have good stuf.
My daughter and I do visit every 4 to 5 weeks. We enjoy the coupons. Yet for the owner*/below to comment stating false information about their company which is published public information- is not very attractive or professional.I formerly worked several years for sal.army and I attest they are for non-profit yet this company is for profit receives free donations in the same fashion the other companies do also purchase some purple heart items as well and mark up the items back to the public. We first started frequenting this location in 2018 the employees and prices were fair and wonderful. Since the ambiance of the store has diminished. The prices are inconsistent (employees not being trained correctly on price points), and the rewards system is not giving us the incentives when checking out (happened today 6/23 10.00 off when we put in my # at register yet •Nothing • was deducted). It came up on the square pad but not on transaction. This has been an issue with the employees and register not consistently working out for customers and as of today still not fixed. (?) Please repair this issue and get the store back to what is was?+ communication is key, please answer your emails.
It was a good thrifting experience. I found a few nice clothing articles here, but the frustrating thing is that the clothing is not sorted by size. Some parts are organized by color, which was nice. Worth multiple visits, but probably a smidge more expensive than the average thrift store. They have 50% color tag days!
It looks nice, great selections but, the organization is lazy. It is sorted by color but, very difficult to search for anything if the sizes aren’t organized. The store used to be a go-to for me but, i’m coming to enjoy my time and search for clothes.. not play “where is waldo?” with clothing.
It was better than expected. Hence, it was half off day and some of the things therein were surprising...
We have abandoned this as one of our thrift stores for the most part. The prices are literally higher than the clothes cost originally. Old navy t shirts for 8$? Used? hahaha. They have old beat up paintings they want 50.00 for. Its really sad. That place used to be booming with elderly folks and families that need help. They can get better prices at Walmart now. I recommend Volunteers of America in North Olmsted.
The staff are not very friendly at this location; the manager especially. I came in an hour before they closed and was rushed out of the store 10 minutes before the time they were suppose to close. Their super friendly ex employee Tyler was the only person who made the place decent to go to.
Good quality items and reasonable prices. This store is clean and well organized.
LINES TOOO LONG HERE NEEDS new management. EMPLOYEES NOT FRIENDLYHire new workers.
Love this place great items and decent prices!
Nice thrift, but no dressing room, the clothes arent sorted by size, and no returns so not my fav. Its reasonably clean though, and even though theres no restroom out front the employees will let you use the one in the back. Not that bad. Good for seasonal decor
Although i didnt find the product i was there for it was neat and categorized according to the product
They are robbers, everything they have, they gave it to them for free. They sell it to you at a price as if it were new. They are the same as goodwill. So anyone becomes rich by selling expensive second-hand items and more than giving it to them for free.
Good service, the workers are nice, friendly people. Well organized, clean, and wide selection of quality clothes. Nowadays its been getting a little too expensive, even for used up tennis shoes. No changing rooms and no bathroom. Otherwise its good.
Good deals but you really need too check garment labels for size hand written tags are terribly miss marked
I have been a customer for many years - following VW from Lorain Avenue to the current location on Detroit Road. While the quality of the merchandise has declined, you can find treasures every now and then. The employees are wonderful but what I can do without is a manager with an attitude and who does not seek to find resolution. Also when dealing with this manager, there is no eye contact but plenty of guarded behavior and foul attitude. It is obvious her mantra is the customer is always wrong. So look for your treasure, enjoy the staff but expect nothing from management. And remember there are other thrift stores who value their customers, want their business and loyalty and treat them properly. It does not seem to live here. Where has my old Value World gone
Fantastic. Wonderful. Very well maintained. Super kind staff.
Their prices are really high!
Thrift store....find great stuff ...
The employees are on their A game at this thrift store. They keep the place SO neat and organized.
Greatest place and prices are great!!!
Always a fun, positive experience at Value World!! The employees are always nice & helpful!! I Love Value World!!
If you like buying used clothes
Customer service is horrible. employees are extremely rude. i went today with a friend and spent three hours in the store. we planned on purchasing so many items for the winter and we had a coupon for half off as i’ve spent a significant amount of money here before. this is usually my go-to thrift store despite the customer service. i was so upset when we went to check out and they denied our discount. i understood there was an expiration date, but this is not something i was informed of. furthermore, the cashier was extremely rude about the situation. we only ended up purchasing one item because of this and left disappointed. i’m so sad.
Rated 1 star needs new staff
Nice selection of clothe. Cant try them on. Some stuff is very pricey.
Great store
This is my favorite thrift store. I might even try to get a job therr. I love it.
Had a wonderful shopping experience! Place is clean, great oldies music. Every employee was so friendly, kind and helpful.
I love 💕 saving money.
The short overweight lady who works here needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY. She let these two rude women cut in front of me because they were complaining. And when I tried to say something about it she screamed at me. I left the store i didnt even want to waste my money here after that. I hope she loses her job shes a HORRIBLE employee
Way too expensive for donated stuff.
Wery nice place to shop and get very nice items
50 percent off everything day!!!
I love this place... You never know what you will find.. Sometimes a little over priced for used clothes and etc.. But i love to visit and shop here..
Friendly staff, well organized, good value.
A Value packed adventure staffed by the Friendly and Helpful. Something different every visit.
Man the item they have wow
Best thrift store in cleveland. Stop in twice a week and find all kinds of bizarre items.
So upset bc I cant afford work pants. Went here in Hopes to find something reasonable. Fond the perfect pair and it was 20 dollars. This is a thrift store. How greedy. And 10 dollars for two dolls my daughter wanted. I can get it for new at that price. When this place was at west town plaza, wasnt this expensive. Lakewood ruins everything
I’m like a kid in the candy store when I’m in this store. They have everything and yes it’s a thrift store, but I find all types of cam corders that were brand new, holiday I rack up on decorations there, they have a huge variety of things, workers are awesome, I have no complaints and they give you discounts because they clothes and things there are a little bit pricey to be a thrift store but the things be worth it especially with the 50% discounts... one of the many things I bought from there is this
I love thrifting. This has consistantly been one of the worst thrift experiences. Its always overpriced, never has good finds, and the staff is always rude or unavailable. After todays experience Im over it completely.
Was there yesterday bought a ohio State jacket the jacket looks brand new pay 2700 dollars for the jacket a jacket like that sold some place else wood cost more money and my sister works there
I love this thrift store. They always have very nice things at low prices. Also they often send out 50% off coupons and they give you a card and every time you spend 5$ you get one hole punched when the card is all punched its worth 50% off. I love saving money!!!!
This place is huge! It’s all categorized very neatly and it makes finding what you need easy. All the aisles are mostly color coordinated which is very convenient. It’s a goof place to go to find something you’re looking for or even just to look around. I’ve found some very cool and even vintage sportswear over the years.
For the love of God sort your stock by size...Store offer average price for thrift store, color tag 1/2 price sales are mostly a joke, the things you want to get here is probably white tag therefore would never go on sale, which is how they draw you in. Shirts and Pants are... some what color sorted, but lets be honest, sort by color in clothing store is basically unsorted, in order for you to find a pair of pants fits you, you will need to go thru the entire aisle... Hope you got nothing to do for the evening. 🤷🏻♂️Other than that, ok store, doing a good service to the community.
Great selection of clothing, books, shoes, and household wares. My boyfriend and I went in looking for a pair of shoes, and he wanted to try on a pair in a case, so we had to ask someone to open it for us. Im sorry I cant remember the name of the person who helped us, but she was truly delightful. Upbeat, kind, and funny, she was a gem to interact with. Our experience in meeting her brightened the tone of my whole day, and while the shoes didnt fit, the customer experience certainly did!
It was well organized by color and the associates were very nice. However, to expect customers to try on clothes in the aisles is absolutely ridiculous. Paired with a no returns or exchange policy, I wont be shopping here again.
Great deals on the clothes and the merchandise
Ive always enjoy going to value world they have everything a person will need, keep up the good work you have a shopper for life in me
The place is hit or miss. I have found some awesome stuff there and other times nothing. The clothes are all well organized by color, type, and size. There is a slight sent of mothballs (kind of party for the course, right)?
#ValueWorld is awesome when it comes to getting good clothes for #Cheap. I shop once a week at least. Some of the clothes tags sizes are wrong, so make sure you check the clothes inside tags. Still 5 Stars from me.
Lakewood is an amazing place there’s two big parks fro your children to play in and we can forget about cove Lakewood seems so big yet you will know every street from what I have experienced I loved there for 9 year we just moved from there the schools were amazing best experience yet❤️
Ive been to Value World a few times to look for specific items but today was the first time I actually stayed and just shopped and looked through as much stuff as I could and took my time. The store is always pretty organized and neat and it smells like a thrift store. Would be nice if they tried to deodorize or put some air fresheners in the store because I always feel gross after I leave. That being said I did get some great items today and if youre going here make sure to look in the bins of stuff because this is where I found some really good deals. Most people dont want to take the time to look through a pile of stuff in a plastic bin but trust me, you might just find hidden treasure. Everyone that works there is really friendly and helpful and this has been one of my favorite thrift shops. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because of the really strong body odor from the clothes and the amount of broken electronics that they put on the shelf to try and sell. They could at least plug things in and test them out. Three items I was interested in buying didnt work when I plugged them in. I mean it takes less than a minute to plug something in and turn it on. And if it doesnt work put it in a bin labeled for parts only or not working I think this is just laziness on the part of store employees.
Ummm.... a neatly sorted thrift store
Good deals on movies dvds summer clothes
Fabulous
I love shopping at Value World because I always seem to find a hidden treasure! Diesel Jeans for $5, Cuisinart & other name brand kitchen appliances for less than $5, a Banana Republic wool Pea Coat for $20 are all things Ive bought at this store. Seasonally, they have a 50% off card where after filling up a card (one punch per $5 spent), you get 50% off your entire purchase. The most recent time I redeemed a 50% card, I spent a little over $60 after the discount, and I am sure that I got well over $1,000 worth of cashmere sweaters, designer clothes, and other unbelievable deals.
As far as second hand stores go, this one is top notch. The staff are fantastic and there is quite a wide variety of clothing. I recently found a banana republic suite with the tags still on it for 20 bucks. Additionally there is always great coupons, sales and customer rewards offered.
Big store, well organized by color. Clothing prices seemed high for a thrift store. No fitting room, also no exchanges or returns. Good prices on housewares though.
Good items cheap prices
I really like this place. I was able to get girls snow boots, and a double jacket for less than $30. The staff is friendly, its really clean, and organised too--and they have a large selection.
I love this place always has beautiful clothes and you name it they have it very clean and nice stuff.people there are so very nice too really makes you feel welcome .😀 They have coupons that come in the mail 50 percent off the total order 🤗
Good place with huge variety. Poorly organized but that means you can find hidden gems. Its been on the rise price wise lately. Expect to pay between 5 and 10 dollars for a sweater. Between 1 and 4 for a t shirt. And around 15 for a better pair of shoes.
Lots to choose from..can always find something..for the most part items are organized by gender& size..staff are mostly scattered or scarce..store is fairly well maintained..checkout process can be tedious. The coupons are awesome & the color of the day sales are helpful.
The cashier (probably named Ms. Jayson with lots of symbols attached to her front uniform) was rude and offensive. We were at store last weekend and selected some items to purchase. while got into the counter she was just staring at us and didnt say Hi at all. This is the costumer service responsibility that should treat costumers well enough to give them motivation to visit again. I think because my wife was wearing scarf she didnt liked us at all. While processing the payment she was silent and didnt talk to us, my card in the reader was not processed with the first attempt. I thought it is done and got my card out of the reader and put it back in my wallet. Then she rudely asked Give me back I replied sorry? she just said Malfunctioned Chip and didnt explained what is malfunction of chip at all. I am working in banking industry and know these terms and expressions but what about if I didnt know this term? She finally processed for the second time and and didnt say thank you and good day.I ask the management of Value World to pay serious attention for such attitudes as far as it adversely affects your business in future. I personally wouldnt go again unless I get assured a decision has taken. Thank you.
Clean and well organized store for being what it is. Great staff and items.
The store is clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly. Merchandise is in good shape and priced lower than expected.
We love the store! Very neat and tidy. The people who work there areHelpful,+and friendly. 🤗🤗🤗
Great clothing selection, but prices are outrageous. Youll only get a good deal with coupons. Also, you have to meter park from 8-6.
Always a good spot for finding some gnarly gear. Find something haggard that works for you while saving cash. One time I found a blockbuster shirt and didnt buy it here; huge life regret.
Organized and clean. Everything in place. Love to shop here especially when the 50 percent off comes in the mail. Only con is there are no fitting rooms so ladies, wear your spanks 😉
Its the closest thrift store to me. (Two blocks away) I frequent the store. Pretty good prices for used stuff but honestly, I usually shop when I have a coupon.
Incredible place with an amazing selection of goods! Very kind and considerate staff who are incredible! Thanks for such a great time yall!
Our first visit and we might or might not be back. Most of the meat we bought was good. The bacon that we came in for was not worth the trip. Should have known when they didnt have it in the case. Checkout was unorganized because the butcher doesnt write the weight of the meat when hes cutting it. We ended up paying for 6 ounces of paper. At your prices the wrapping should be free.
Its thrift.. So I dont get the complaints about the petty stuff.. Prices are great. The 50% coupons and cards are a total plus. You watch what you get (zippers, buttons, stain issues now n then..) but can come home with fab finds for pennies. Which is a big part of what makes true thrifting fun. The vast majority of my wardrobe has come from here and is name brand stuff. A lot looks new. Im not going down to Target and paying $20+ for jeans that the material is paper thin when I can get 4 or 5 pairs of NICE jeans here for the same amount or less.
Best place to find an emergency outfit or two. Need clothes for a costume? This is the place. Want nice employees? This is the place. Want an organizated store? Boom this is the placem
I enjoy shopping at value world I can find everything I am looking for and not brake the bank. Thank you Value World
Love this store. Cant beat the discounts and they usually have a 50% off coupon monthly.
Its all right it is the 2019 version of Kmart vs old fashioned five and dime
Great prices. Additional 50 percent off coupons and shoppers card. Great helpful staff. I love shopping here!
Price right friendly
Value World is a cool place especially now there are less thrift stores bought me a deck of cards so I can get that joker its only a bummer walking in knowing that youre paying for stuff they got for free like promos even brand new prices
Good sized thrift store. Decent options, clean facility. Staff was friendly. Ill make a return at some point.
I never leave the store empty handed. Good findings at very affordable $.
Good stuff
Pretty awesome with the 50% off coupon. Dont be in a hurry... they bring out new stuff all day long.
They seem to have what Im looking for.
The cashier had really cool pins and stuff. I got cool good jacket!
Nice and clean thrift shopping
Waited in line for 15 minutes for 1 item. and still didnt check out, I just left. if you like old people and wasting time its the place for you.
They have a nice selection of things to choose from.
Been going to the Value World in Lakewood for 4 and half years Its a great thrift store You can find some really cool and valuable stuff if you know what to look for like any other thrift store there is alot of junk But the old saying One persons junk is anothers treasure Overall I have had no issues with the Lakewood Value World.
