Bagels are extremely soft. I had an everything bagel with vegetable flavored cream cheese and turkey. I am not sure if it was the bagel or the cream cheese but something was a little overly salty other than that everything was good. I would suggest just getting a bagel with cream cheese no turkey it was too much and the turkey isnt the greatest. The staff was very friendly the only downside was the saltiness and they seem to be out of a few selection of bagels when I went there. I would go back again but probably stick to plain blueberry or cinnamon bagel only and regular cream cheese.

I know I have rated this establishment before. This is a definite go-to every time we are in Tacoma. Sometimes we go twice in a trip, although it is usually a bit out of the way for us. Great bagels with great toppings. The coffee is good. The experience makes for great morning of coffee, bagels, and family bonding. Staff is always fun and quirky. Bathrooms are clean, and there is lots of seating. The construction out front appears to be settling, so accessing the shop via the northern parking lot might be diminishing in its error-throwing on my GPS. Awesome place to eat. Best bagels I have had this side of the country in a long time.

Its really easy to miss this place, tucked back in its corner. Im from the east coast, bagels are a big thing out there. This place reminds me of home. The bagels are so delicious. So many different flavors. I highly recommend the Northwest smoked salmon on an onion bagel. I am going to be a regular here from now on.

Absolutely love this bagel shop! I have never had bagels this good before. We drive about 30 min out of our way to stop by and get some. The own is so sweet. He always comes over and chats with my toddler for a minute.

I have been going to Cascade for years. Their bagels are wonderful. I just wish the City of Lakewood knew what a jewel this bagelry is and supported it more. My favorite is their Orange Cranberry Bagel. Whenever I am in town, this is one of the first places I go.

Phenomenal bagels. I have high standards for bagels because of this place. Their cheesy gooey centers, flavorful outer layers...everything you ever wanted from a bagel. The garlic cream cheese will make your eyes roll back in bliss.I go for weekly bagels in case this local gem ever closes. Go before all the paneras take over.

Bagels are supposed to be chewy and fairly dense. While the people who work here are very nice, the bagels are lacking for me, ie too soft, no body and no color. Bagels shouldn’t be pale white! They should be golden! The variety of smears helps make up for it but I’ve been to bagel shops in St. John’s with fewer schemers and 10x better bagels. This comes from over 10 years eating some of the best bagels in NYC. Also, I find it hard to trust reviews from people living in the South Sound because they sadly underserved when it comes to stupendous food.

With a northwest feel this bagel shop has some of the best bagel and locks.and seems like a valued part of the community. However the location is a little run down with a dreary dark bathroom. A little TLC and renovating on the lights would go a long ways for this delicious breakfast stop!

Our first visit was not the best, they had an issue at the cash register. So the service was very slow and no apologies from anyone. We ordered breakfast bagels which were nothing special, they should offer to put tomatoes and onions to give more flavor. The coffee was old and cold, just awful. We will give them one more chance and try lunch sometime. Prices are a bit high and the restaurant is not as clean it well maintained as it should be.Update, we went back for lunch and it was just as awful. The restaurant is filthy, the food handlers do no to wear hair nets. The ac either was off or does not work.

Sadly, they closed November 2019. Good luck finding a bagel within 20 miles!

My husband and I each ordered a bagel toasted with cream cheese. I got a sesame and my husband got a blueberry. There was only 1 lady serving people on a Sunday morning. We had to wait a few minutes to order but she was polite about it. When we got our bagels, both were open-faced even though my husband asked for his not to be (no big deal). I felt that the bagels tasted fine and they didnt skimp on the schmear. I asked for my bagel to be toasted but it didnt seem toasted at all. The facility seemed unhygienic and we may not come back due to the unsanitary conditions. My husband also pointed out the poor lighting which made it feel even more dingy. If the place were cleaner with better lighting, we would probably come back because the bagels werent bad.

I would give this place a 5 star because their bagels are amazing but I gave them 4 because they do not have enough people working there. They know how busy they get but only one person making food. Takes too long and people standing in line do not get acknowledged.

Slow service, but good quality tasty bagels. Just wish they were cooked a little longer! Theyre a bit doughy, but theyre better than grocery store bagels. Truly not just bread with a hole in it :-) I feel like Im back east already...

Love this shop. Been coming off and on from 1995 til present. Food is always awsome, the people who work here are outstanding. My only regret is I dont live close by so I can stop here more often. This little hidden gem is one of thr great places in this area.

I love Cascade Bagel! It is a small little local business, but the bagels are baked fresh daily. They do sell the day-olds in the morning too for a cheaper price. Love the variety of flavors of the bagels and the different cream cheeses too!

This little hole in the wall bagel shop is in the last active corner of an abandoned strip mall. Its tough to keep going when theres no foot traffic - but Cascade Bagel and Deli is soldiering on. Made in-house bagels have various toppings including a solid Smoked Salmon & Capers. The Veggie is good as well. Everythings under $10.

Real bagels are hard to find. This place has real bagels and yummy flavors of cream cheese. Good place for card game or book or conversation with coffee and bagel.

I want to give them a 10. I have not been here for over a year. Got the works breakfast sandwish. It hit the spot. I looked in the bag and noticed an extra bagle with a note that said thank you for waiting!!! 10!

The worst. If civilization had broken down, food had run out and this was the only place with food left, I would still have second thoughts.Would give zero stars if I could. A must miss. Get a bagel at the Safeway down the street. This bagel shop is disgusting, not clean and the hostess is rude. I attempted to eat a breakfast bagel that included an overcooked and tasteless egg. The hostess barely greeting me and only smiled when she was handing me her masterpiece. It was almost as if she knew she messed up my bagel on purpose. I was nice and waited patiently for a considerable amount of time before she acknowledged my presence. Im not sure why this is rated at a 4.1. The customers must not have any taste buds.

Stopped in here today. New to me and local. Not impressed. No aromas of fresh bagels being made. The espresso machine was broken. There is a portable fan blowing in the kitchen that is in serious need of cleaning. Wondering how clean it is behind the counter. The bagel did not taste fresh. I didnt get the lady wearing one glove either. Touched everything with both hands. Prices seemed okay. I probably wont be back.

Dont buy the early morning Fresh labeled bagels. They have to be left overs from the night before.Customer service is non existent. Very dry and unwelcoming vibe.Not worth buying a dozen or big orders as the price is per bagel.The flavored cream cheese is horrible. Its over priced and taste exactly like your plain cream cheese.I had to take the bagels home and place them into the oven to revive them.The bagels are dry and some even chewy.Einstein Bros was closed, (which is why I ended up here) but I was excited to find a local shop. House of doughnuts is rite down the street so I figured Id be in for a treat.I was wrong...save your time,money and take the drive to Einstein Bros or go to Costco

Nice clean facility, welcoming staff, wonderfully chewy bagels! Tried a toasted sesame with herbed cream cheese, and an orange-cranberry with honey-walnut cream cheese. Both were excellent. I want to go back for one of their sandwich bagels!

Literally the best bagels. Lots of choices. They even make sandwiches with bagels and have amazing banana nut bread. Best part is it is very affordable.If you go to the lakewood ymca and have had the baked goods there it is from this place... Of course its cheaper if u buy it direct.

This place has great potential to be very great, but the owner has really settled for below average. The food is decent, the selection is varied, but it is so CLUTTERED that the customer doesnt even know where to look. As soon as you walk in, you are visually assaulted by a very large white board with the menu scattered all over it. It made no sense at all. When you go up to order a bagel, there are a lot of options, but it is poorly labeled and set out. They dont even look appealing in the dirty displays. The cash register is archaic and the employee didnt even know the prices or how to make a drink! What breakfast place doesnt serve decaf coffee?? The walls are covered in advertisements which makes the place look dingy and very dirty. There are signs all over the place with random instructions, it was so confusing. The employee couldnt remember our orders and was yelling across the Cafe to confirm her memory of our orders (remember the cash register is super old and doesnt create a list of what was ordered). The food was okay.... This review isnt so much about the food, but rather the environment. If the owner is reading this, PLEASE take my advice and clean up!! Take down the clutter, make a clearer menu, have better signs on your bagels and invest in an iPad with a register app!! A little effort will go a long way. This is a great Idea with all the varieties of bagels, cheeses and combos but the execution is beyond poor!!

Good bagel sandwiches. The place is kind of run down. The fountain pop dispenser was leaking non-stop and things appeared to be a little unsanitary.

Ive been here several times over the last year or two and each time the food is good but the service is not. The lady is always in a bad mood and doesnt seem to care about the customers. I dont know if Ill be going back :-/

Was called a rude nasty individual and hung up on 2 separate occasions.Simply trying to purchase breakfast sandwiches for myself and colleagues.To top it off the owner called and left a message to argue. Odd choice of mannerisms. Never tried the food but the people who work there seem to be somewhat unhinged.

Tried to call in for pick up; the lady who picked up put me on hold to handle a personal call with her doctor; I could hear her conversation on her cell and could hear her telling customers that she would only be a minute. She eventually just hung up on me. Went down there to attempt to get food, and the service was too slow. Would love to try the food here, but the horrific unprofessionalism made this impossible. Heed the bad reviews about bad customer service and find a better place!

There was only one other customer in the whole place and I think I know why. The lady who took our order was incredibly rude. We wanted to order a breakfast bagel (served all day) and she told us that she rather not make those right now. When asked what type of bagel we wanted, we told our choice, and she immediately shut us down in a rude, snarky manner proclaiming they didnt have any left. She lacks zero kindness. And so did her coworker. Honestly, if you are working in customer service you should have at least a small ability to interact with people in a decent manner. No matter what, we will never return to this depressing, angering place again and I will make sure to spread this experience with anyone and everyone.

I eat here on my lunch break pretty frequently, Ive never had any problem with the service, theyre always quick as can be for a made to order bagel sandwich. In my opinion this is the perfect place for free WiFi and well rounded lunch.
