Best chicken I have ever had! Found out they only do the 1/2 chicken on fridays, worth the wait. Gets busy fast so come early.

A great little spot for Cuban food and pastries. Good prices. The food was really good and authentic and the staff was super friendly. Walk-up and order type service. The 2 ladies behind the counter wore masks and enforced mask wearing when people walked in with out one...THANK you!!! Also, the coffee was really good (I drink it black so it HAS to be good for me to comment). And take a look at these treats!! When in Lakeland, I will stop back in and enjoy more good food and service.

First time (that Im aware of) going to a Cuban restaurant, though I have had a few Cuban dishes.This was the BEST possible first time experience! Youre waited on by the sweetest lady, who brings you the tastiest food! Easily satisfied with just eating half of whats given, taking the rest home for leftovers you cant wait to dive into.Had the roast pork, rice black beans, and tostonis (sp?). If your grandma made this, would be the kind of meal that you couldnt stop hugging and kissing her for afterwards. Cant do that here, not on the first visit anyway ;)Give it a try, youll be glad you did.

Food here is pretty good, never been to Cuba and tasted authentic food sooo maybe it’s authentic🤷🏼‍♂️ My 2 stars review is because of the hours of operation! Most folks don’t go to lunch at noon but 11-11:30! And you better be an early bird dinner eater cause this place closes before you even get off work. Oh and the Cuban sandwich…. Don’t waste your time, Publix makes a better sandwich!

New ownership. Much more friendly and welcoming than the last owners. The new owners are glad to answer menu questions and welcome you in and offer salutations as you leave. They make customers feel appreciated. The food is delicious. We love the ropa vieja and piccadillo, especially. (Piccadillo only on Thursdays.) Even the rice and beans are rich with flavor. Nothing bland about them. They are the best weve had outside of The Columbia Restaurant. We have tried all the local Cuban restaurants. We really enjoy the flavors. Check them out. Whether you agree with us or not, you will enjoy the comparisons and the Cuban family that runs it couldnt be nicer people.😊

My husband and I went in for our first experience and were NOT disappointed! All of our food was so good we both over ate... We couldnt stop! Their Cuban sandwiches are HUGE so even a half will fill you up nicely. I definitely recommend and we will be back.

This is a cozy Cafe in Central Florida specializing in typical Cuban Cuisine. The food is REAL and delicious! Portions are generous and prices modest. Our server Yami H. Was great! Very attentive, polite, and knowing of the menu. Theres no pushing you to order, this is a culinary experience. The restaurant is small but clean and tidy. My wife had the ribs (costillas) and I had Ropa Vieja (Cuban Pulled Pork) DELICIOUS! This entrees come with Congri (dirty rice and black beans) and Tostones (fried flattened plantains) or Maduros (baked plantains). The desert was Flan (Cuban custard) and to finish with a bow on top a Cuban Expresso coffee. This is a must visit restaurant if you want to have a gourmet experience.

Great food at reasonable prices. Very accommodating staff. The portions are large and the quality is always right on point. I usually pick up entrees to take home for dinner an cubans for lunch.

The food is outstanding. The best thing about it, is that you will have left overs and still feel full. The staff is so sweet and you can tell they put a lot of heart in their dishes. If it’s your first time I recommend the “Ropa Vieja” with Yuca. You will not be disappointed!

First time: Customer Service was horrible. I was told 15-20 minutes. Was more like 35 minutes. When I said something. They decided to talk in spanish about me to other customers. The lady tried to get rude. I understood them well. The male *cook*or whomever he was decides to come out as to intimidate me staring at me the whole time. They didnt wipe tables down after each customer left. Never again. They should treat all customers fair. Never ate the food afraid may have tampered with. Cant say if it was good or not.

I’ve been here several times but unfortunately I was left disappointed today as my friend asked for the special which was a pork combined race no beans & yuca and unfortunately it was too soggy for our taste...if it was the special we should have been afforded a comp when he did not like it. The femalr owner was asked to get a plate to share my portion of the lunch bcuz he was so disappointed yet then we asked for coffee & not only weren’t asked if we wanted dessert but we weren’t even given an apology for his dislike & perhaps a comp coffee as we’re regulars would have eased the disappointment... we find they are running out of entrees and too regularly so we hope it’s because the business is picking up &Not bcuz they are getting sloppy. Their flavorful Cuban food is usually on point. 🤷🏻‍♀️😜😞

The Cubano especial is sooooooooo freakin good! So good! Omg. We also had the croquettes and tried the Columbiana soda. Everything was great. Our waitress was really friendly and did an amazing job as well. Definitely keep her around and pay her well!

Waited 10 minutes to order then she said the special on the menu tv screen that I ordered wasnt valid because the manager forgot to take it off the menu screen and couldnt order at the price. Much better cuban food at much lower prices 3 miles away.

This place is 100% AUTHENTIC Cuban. Ill never go to another Cuban place. The service was fantastic, and the food was very tasty. Their prices are way too cheap, and you get a ton of food!! Would recommend highly to anyone looking for AUTHENTIC Cuban food!!!

Delicious and friendly! It would be nice if they had a soda fountain and you didnt have to buy it by the can, it would be cheaper for them and they would make more money, plus I could get two or three refills and it would be still way less money for them to refill a fountain soda then buying a can

Ive eaten there before, but this experience was different. The food was okay but the two teenage girls running the front of the restaurant couldnt be bothered with their customers because they were too busy on their phones on social media. They were completely unattentive. I had to go to the counter and ask for napkins and condiments after our food was served. Ill probably go back again because I like the food, but if the service is the same Ill stop going there altogether.

This is a hidden gem!! My husband, daughter, dog (he loves the rice!) and I ❤️❤️❤️ their food. Everything on the menu is delightful, the service is quick, warm and friendly. This is one of our favorite places!

The Best Cuban and papa rellena I’ve had that I can remember. Friendly staff, amazing prices, definitely recommend.

We ordered 2 dinners (for 2 adults + child) for pickup, Ropa Vieja and their special of the Day, Costillas de Cerdo. Absolutely delicious (and huge portion, plenty of leftovers)!!! I enjoyed a cortadito (the best in South Lakeland) while waiting on my order. We also added croquetas and empanadas. Always enjoy their friendly customer service! This is a family owned restaurant and we love supporting them during these difficult times.

Easily my favorite place to go for Cuban food that feels like it was cooked at home. Reasonable prices and ideal portions. Friendly staff and the ability to call ahead and pick up my food on the way home from work make it that much more appealing to me.

Typically the food here is fine. Today, I ordered 7 double meat Cuban sandwiches to go and when I opened the tray all the sandwiches were very soggy. I asked them not to press the sandwiches which apparently didnt register. There are better Cuban sandwiches in town but all in all this place is ok.

Wow, delicious, clean, friendly. Best Cuban food I have had since leaving Miami! I got the pork loin tenderloin it was moist and seasoned perfectly. Black beans and rice yum. Tried Tostones (fried plantain) for the first time very tastee. Can’t wait to go back.

Being from Miami, Ive eaten delicious Cuban food most of my life, but this was not good quality and reminded me of a Publix knock-off. The amount of salt used was extremely excessive and took away from any true flavor of the food. It was so over-salted I could not finish it.

I love the steak sandwiches and Cuban Coffee here. Everything is made to order. you can call ahead to pick up . But overall one of the closest cuban spots to eat that reminds me of Miami.

Average Cuban food. Not always traditional though. I ordered the chicken Milanese, and received something more like chicken cordon bleu with marinara and too much cheese. White rice was amazing. Worth a second try. My friend got the roasted pork and it was great.

Wish I could rate higher. Maybe dining in would be better. The Cuban I ordered to go was heated up in the microwave. It was filled with a pork mush....not really flavorful. Maybe next time.

Not a real cuban restaurant. Go there if you want frozen food served like the real stuff. Cuban sandwich didnt have consistency....only 2 pickles and no mustard. The pork was good though. The relleno de papas was cold on the inside and when we told them about it they just put it in the microwave and served it back. Waitress did come to table frequently but quality of service was not at par.

Cuban Delights is a South Lakeland gem. The family is the weight staff, cooks, counter attendants and more and they’re there day and night. My husband and I love to go for lunch. Last week I had the ropa vieja with plantains and rice. Holy smokes it was so delicious and I had to bring a box home. The servings are so generous. My husband has roasted pork. It was rich in flavor. Personally, I love the chicken and rice. I like sweet and salty so I’ll order the fried plantains and add just a dash of salt. That’s lip smacking good folks. Your service, great tasting Cuban food, and friendliness make the restaurant five stars in my opinion! Thank you for bringing your flavors to south Lakeland.
