Such a cute coffee shop! I had no idea it was located in a library but its got such an easy entrance that its not an issue. Beautiful both inside and out. They have some local items from Born & Bread (amazing food). We got the two special drinks from the summer menu listed on the board when you walk in and the Hot Honey Biscuit. So pleased with the service and just the overall experience.

They do not provide with their own wifi network and they make you join the publicly funded free wifi provided by the Public Library hence, No working wifi outside.Blank and Brew wifi is only for admin not for guests.Cheap private business freeloading tax payers internet.Coffee and ambiance are great.

Lovely coffee shop tucked into the Lakeland Public Library. Usually have at least one gluten free baked good option (today was a gf brownie). The menu is a bit more limited from the downtown store, but they do have some open faced sandwiches and gf bread is an option too.

This place deserves a five based on quality of food and drinks, however, this is a very small shop in a very busy library and central location within lakeland. Therefore it can be a bit crowded. The plus side to this is there is plenty of outdoor seating for you to wait for your order.

Outdoor seating is very enjoyable. The menu is good and not too large. I havent enjoyed the seasonal drinks only because they tend to be so sweet, and I think thats common for seasonal menus.

Personally one of my favorite places to be. The outdoor seating is perfect. The coffee was delicious.

Delicious! I had the pick 2: blt ish sandwich and strawberry praline salad. Both were wonderful. Loved the atmosphere. Sat outside and it was quite comfortable. I will be back!

The biscuit sandwiches for breakfast are the best. Id eat the biscuits without anything in them. The bacon makes them even better. A must go if in Lakeland.

I love B&B. The library location is my favorite because of the calming, beautiful surroundings on the deck outside. Both have great menus, the service always comes with a smile and friendly chat, and the food is always fresh and delicious.

I really enjoy the outdoor space at the library location of Black & Brew. When the weather is ideal you can’t pick a more pleasant spot to eat, drink and get some work done. When I visit in the mornings I enjoy the warm quiche and salad offered. I would only ask for a couple of things - a side of ketchup and a diet soda (neither are available at this location). Otherwise, I love this place.

Great coffee and great food. We had thevpraline bacon sandwich. It was hot and freakish, the eggs were fluffy and the bacon was crisp. But the highlight was the biscuit it all came on. So yummy!

The Mexican street corn salad is the best!!!

This place is very nice and cute. Its attached to the right of the library. The tables outside are beautiful and clean. I enjoyed a BLT sandwich and it felt fresh and the roasted cherry tomatoes gave it the right touch of flavor. For drink I had the orange blossom hot green tea with honey and it was amazing. The tea was soo good I know I will be back to enjoy some more. In addition As a side I enjoyed a chocolate cookie with the sandwich and it was very delicious. Great spot of a quick nice lunch. Highly recommended.

Beautiful cafe and super friends staff. Tasty Gluten free options. The reason I missed one star off is they served me in a take away cup even though I ordered in and they didnt have a recycling bin.

Just an amazing experience, cashiers are super nice and friendly and the food is perfect. No complaints at all. Coffee is also very good. Id recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants good food.

I love the Black and Brew location at the library. Same great items (though a smaller menu), and parking is much easier! The patio is also lovely and spacious. My favorite things are the avocado toast, the egg salad toast, and the soda of the month (usually).

I’ve been at those location before for some tea and cookies, but today was my first time eating at the Lake Morton location. I choose this because it is closer to my work, and at 12pm I can’t find parking downtown. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the Mac and cheese and club sandwich. The Mac and Cheese is literally life changing! I was having a weird day at work, and the Mac and cheese literally perked my mood right up and I feel so ready to clock back in! TRY IT for yourself, oh my gosh!!!! I also had the season French Lavender Latte and, again, wow. It is killer and amazing! It’s just the right hint of lavender. Thank you Black and Brew for always being my favorite!

I love the food here! I have never been disappointed with the service or my meal. This place is ruthlessly consistent and in my opinion that is the hallmark of good dining. It sits in the heart of downtown and is perfect for just about any occasion. Lots of small meetings happen here.

I’m traveling all over Florida to try “The Coffee House” for their area. The decor is fitting for the location being a library, the baristas were personable, cute and knowledgeable, the owner is doing this location right!One thing I didn’t like is the amount of beverage in the cup, which was 6oz in a 12oz cup, however it tastes perfect. I can’t wait to get this new bag of beans ground and brewed. Thanks Patriot.

The turkey club and the mac and cheese are my favorite thing on the menu. I order them together as a “you pick two” and I’m never disappointed. Coffee is also always delicious. Great service as well - Jessie the barista is always pleasant and Rachel in the kitchen never fails to disappoint me with her sandwich making skills.

It was brilliant to bring such a lovely cafe to this pretty neighborhood, just a short walk from downtown. The public library is right here, and across the parking lot is the wonderful Polk Museum of Art, now with free entry.The menu is just three sandwiches, three salads, an array of satisfying small bites, a cup-serving each.The choices for me are satisfying enough that I can go for a nice lunch or a quick bite, and choose between big or small, sweet or savory and possibly sour too. Prices are reasonable. Coffee and rotating array of baked treats are generally appealing. I believe there are ice cream treats as well. The coffee, the espresso, is world-class. Other special coffee drinks are possible (cappuccino, latte, etc.), hot & cold.

This new location of Black & Brew sit adjacent to the public library giving its an incredible feeling. Come here to pick up your favorite book and enjoy a meal or drink or both. You will be delighted by your surroundings and the quality of the food.

SPECTACULAR food, incredibly tasty drinks, wonderful service, and a charming vibe—especially out on the patio. The apple cheddar biscuit is fantastic, as is the strawberry & local honey tartine. The mac & cheese is seriously delicious, the quinoa salad is perfectly tangy, and the quiche is perhaps the best EVER ANYWHERE. Wow. Do not leave this place without eating their quiche. Even the side salad that came with the quiche was fabulous. Our only complaint: their caprese sandwich was drowning in a tasty but strongly-flavored lemon-dijon aioli that canceled out the classic flavors of mozzarella, tomato and basil. No big deal though. Everything else was amazing. Special thanks to Bree for answering all our questions. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their delicious food and drink!
