I can Not Rave on The bakery associates, assistant/ bakery Manager and lead Cake Decorators (Southgate Shopping Center in Lakeland, FL) enough! They are the Best by Far! So friendly, Knowledgeable, willingness to go above and beyond, dedication to achieve the customers needs and wants (within certain limits/regulations/liability etc is remarkable. Nothing in the cake book interests you?? No worries! I love this store. I live close, but I drive out of the way, passing other Publix, to get here if Im in other areas of town. The personnel are super helpful and nice. The place is clean and feels a little more open/better lit than other stores.

Love this little historical piece of Lakeland (the shopping center). This Publix is large, easy to find what you want, with pleasant staff and neat appearance. Ill definitely return when Im heading to Tuesday Morning.

Publixs has great subs and for a fast and quicker service I recommend to order your sub online, instead of standing in line. I placed my order online, walked in and right there were my subs by the deli for which I had ordered online. I Did not have to interact with anyone (other than the cashier), grabbed my subs and cashed out. The bread is so delicious and especially the fresh tasting cold cuts; including the veggies which were included. Everyone knows Publix is the place to grab your favorite cold cut subs. Whether you are grabbing for lunch, dinner or grabbing for later on to eat. I recommend Publix is where its at. Ive been to other sub places and no wheres else doesnt beat Publix subs. They also have great people who are respectful during cashing out. The cashier engaged in some basic conversation with a warm friendly smile. I always gave a pleasure shopping at Publix South Gate. Everyone is friendly. I always do my shopping right before closing and at that time of day the employees are even friendlier. Quitting time is the best time.

All I have to say is, if you are going to get a sub, make sure you request ROBERT!!! he has been making my sub for a few years now and I wont allow another person to make it. He is THE sandwich God, with A1 customer service, speed and on top of making one of the most messy sub into a neat beautiful piece of art! Someone needs to make him a manager over the deli. Keep pushing Robert your time will come 💪

This Publix like most Publixs is very nice.The issue is getting in and out of the shopping center. It takes luck and patience.

It was AWESOME. On my last visit one of the customer service girls-Halley suggest that I call the store ahead of time to let them know that I need am electronical cart driven up the hill to meet me at my bus stop.On this visit today I was in and out if the store in less than 30.minutes. Always excellent customer service. A lot of good sales and prepared meals that you just pop in the oven. A gentleman that was leaving work even offered to help me in the parking lot.

The staff has always been so helpful. If you have trouble finding something there is always someone nearby to help. Yes the prices are a bit more than Walmart but it’s worth it.

Publix deli is the best. The young lady working making sub sandwichs is awesome and very kind. She gave me freshly cut meat and cheese. They had fresh veggies to put on it. The bread is soft not hard. I will be back for sure.

They never get my sub order right when I order on line. They screwed up 2 Birthday Cake orders for my grandkids. Will never go back

Like this one over the other close one to my house because it has fresh sliced deli meat to grab and go. No waiting and it’s a bit smaller so easier to get in and out of.Bonus: it’s the plaza in my favorite movie “Edward Scissorhands.”

Ive been going there for approximately 40 years the store is always clean ànd the employees are good people.

This is the most friendly Publix in South Lakeland. Whenever you ask any employee where something is and I don’t need you they know it most of the time they will show it to you in person. Don’t forget they always have a pleasant smile as well.
