Usually when I come here I never have an issue, employees are pretty nice but today not so much. When getting checked in with Carley she was not friendly, very impatient, non helpful, and out of everything I brought (which one ALOT) she took 1 thing which I had to make 3 trips to my car from so much I had. Weird that’s never happened. Woman checking me out when I came back was friendly but the woman behind the counter looking at items people have brought was very rude to her when she asked for help finding my basket telling her “read the labels” when she asking for help. Probably won’t be back

Good place to go to buy and sell baby clothing. Their prices are low, and theyll pay you for your used clothes (not a whole lot, but lets be honest, you probably would have just donated them). The only downside is their inventory is unpredictable, so if youre looking for something specific, it might be hard to find.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great selection. I rarely buy new...the kids grow so fast. Glad to have a clean place to buy secondhand kid’s stuff that’s been checked!

Great clothing brands we love at low prices....pays well for gently used children clothing and toys. Store is fine, selection is good. But most of the employees here dont seem to understand how to wear masks correctly--cover your mouth AND nose! For people that are so picky with what they buy, how did this little but crucial detail get by them?And they ask for coins, fine. But one person counting coins one at a time? Took a good while.

This store is always well stocked with a good variety of items. Always enjoy shopping here for stuff for our grand baby.

Good spot to pick up used items for less, but not super cheap. They dont give you much for the items you bring (but something is better than nothing). Think I will probably just donate my stuff Instead next time. Checkout has been tricky every time I have gone but Im hopeful that next time will be better. They have a good selection of both boys and girls clothing and shoes (newborn and up). Some larger items, toys, books, etc. Clearance is worth a look I found some nice stuff for my baby. Quality of merchandise is good overall.

Good selection. Decent prices, usually. Long lines and sometimes not most helpful staff. Nothing is terrible here. Nothing is great either. Lots of second hand stores have equally good product at better prices. Now are any of those better stores in Lafayette? Not sure. Good option in town. Better options if you can get to Indy.

My little sister works here and after meeting her co-workers its obvious everyone loves their jobs. This also shows in the quality product they sell and reasonable prices. The store is set up easy to navigate and is cute and welcoming upon walking in. Parents that dont want to spend extra needless money should try this store out. You wont be disappointed!

I positively love this place. I love the fact you can get namebrand stuff for cheap price. The clothes you just can’t beat and the accessories. I would recommend this place for anyone who has small children.

Ive shopped at Once Upon A Child at least 4 or 5 times since my 2 girls were born. I like the variety of options and have found some adorable outfits in there. The prices are fair for the really good brand names. Ive never sold anything there which seems to be what most of the bad reviews are about.

This is our go-to place for kids clothes. They always have a nice selection and prices low enough we dont have to scrutinize every item we want to purchase. This helps us get in and out with nice selections quickly...which is a must when weve got cranky kids in tow.

Was happy with the money we got for the amount of clothes we sold. Would have been nice if they bought more but that is ok. What ruined the experience was we did not get a copy of the receipt. Even though a note was written on receipt for us to organize and fold clothes if we wanted more to be bought. We would have liked a itemized receipt with what was actually bought and for how much.

When you sell your things to them they buy your things off you for very cheap and then sell it twice or even three times that price. I wouldnt want to waste my time on selling things to them I could get way better money selling them some other way. But he clothes and toys are good the staff are nice

I have been in this store a couple times and will NEVER go back. Clothes are GROSS. Usually very worn, stained and way over priced. Non- clothing items are absolutely ridiculously priced. I found booster seats there that they were selling for HIGHER than Targets price for a brand new one. PEOPLE, you can get better deals at the mall. Usually Childrens Place has much cheaper and nicer NEW clothes.They never take any clothes you want to sell, they give you nothing if they do and the staff is rude. Every time I have been there they staff acts like they are too busy to assist you and that you are an annoyance to them.Seriously, for people who shop here because they are on a budget, go to Target and the Mall. You will find sale clothes for much better quality and price!

Staff was very friendly. Prices are not too bad a few things I think are over priced. When selling items to them you dont get much for them. But overall I think its a great place to get good used kids items, clothes etc. at a good price.

This place is a joke. The prices are absolutely unreal. FOR USED clothing. They pay parents little to nothing for their items. Then turn around and charge an insane amount. $14 for a pair of used shoes. $6.50 for a used toddler girls dress and the brand is from Wal-Mart. That dress brand new is $8.88. This store is a rip off. They used to have amazing deals and low prices. Whoever is handling the prices now has no clue what they’re doing and are only in it for the money. This place will go out of business if they don’t get it together.

Do not go to this store! I went in with two bags of clothes that were not stained or torn and they only took 1 item!!! Pissed me right off. Thought this was supposed to be a consignment shop! Not to mention i waited 2 hours for them to sort through everything. So i drove clear from west lafayette twice with the hopes of trading his outgrown clothes for clothes that would fit him for kindergarten!

The have a great selection on gently used kids clothes. I havent done it in many years but they will look over kids items and usually give you a decent price for them. Just be sure they are in good repair and clean.

I used to love this store. Went in there a couple days ago and it was an awful experience. The cashier was very rude when I asked about a dress with a stain and if they’d lower the price. I may have been able to wash the stain away but I wasn’t for sure. She refused to lower the price. It was $13 and had A STAIN! Ridiculous. I’d rather go to garage sales then waste my time shopping here ever again.

Good place to get good, decent secondhand clothes and goods for the kids. They are picky about what they take, but thats better than getting clothes with stains. Friendly staff. Can be a bit hectic when theres a lot of kids there.

Not impressed with their staff. Went to sell a Mobil (for a crib) that I had originally purchased from the store in the first place about a month prior, and they wouldn’t accept it. The employees need to be trained the same way because some of the items that are in there are in awful condition. Will avoid if possible and will not recommend.

Once Upon A Child has a great selection of kids clothing and toys at great prices - its always our first stop when our little one goes through a growth spurt! Everything is in great condition for being second-hand and they pay a fair price for items that you bring in. The staff is always friendly and helpful, as well!

Overpriced, Rude staff, impatient and greedy. My fiancé and I brought in 2 large bags of clothes to sell. They refused to take it. So a shop thats meant to sell good clothes at cheap prices, refused to take clean clothes that couldve helped some child out there. Do not take youre childs old stuff here. Take it to goodwill and actually help a person. Wont be returning.

I dont discourage from buying at once upon a child but DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SELL TO THEM!!!!! I brought in gently used clothing and all they would take is 2 shirts for less than $1. If I could give them no stars I would. They are a joke a complete rip off

I have only had positive experiences at this store, all the clothes I purchased were reasonably priced and in great shape. Ive only sold there a few times because they do have very high standards and my kids are rough on their clothes.

I helped paint the knew extended store and it is a wonderful place with so many clothes for cheap..I was amazed how wonderful this store is...I had never been there before...but I fell in love with it...I have a new grandbaby and I just went crazy with getting baby items...thank you for such great deals

I’m sad about this store. I used to go here and find great deals but now it is way to over priced. I found a used pair of shoes and they weren’t even an expensive brand and they wanted $15 for them! And they were all worn out and scuffed up. The ladies are rude that work there and they claim the prices come from a computer generated program. I don’t believe that! I believe the people who price the items are out to get as much money as they can. Don’t shop here. Shop on Facebook and craigslist where you can give your hard earned money to other moms who aren’t out to rip you off!

Get good clothes there, but when I went to try to seek to them they said the clothes were outdated. I gas just bought them for Christmas and the kids only wore them once.

Love this store a friend told me about it while i was pregnant with my first hand usually is the place i come to buy clothes for and always manage to find clothes i realy like for an affordable price and sometimes i even find clothes with tags still on them. I have previously sold some of the old clothes that still look good and new here as well. Now with my second one on the way i am now shopping for two plus sometimes i buy extras jst for parties im invoted too. Only reason i dont give 5 stars is because on the limited parking space which ive come to learn if i show up at certain times im garanteed a parking spot. Otherthan that one of my fav children stores.

We sold our brand new Chicco double stroller that was used three times. Originally 400 dollars. They have me 65 and turned around and sold it for 150. Ive bought clothes there and my kids wore them once and then they wouldnt take them back. Poor management, and most of the staff is rude.
